This book contains two smaller ones regarding the same family. The first book The Marriage Maker is about Ethan Redford and Cleo Kincaid Monroe. Ethan's sister Della dies and he has promised to care for her son as if it was his own. The problem is he needs a mother for Justin and Cleo fills the bill in more than one way.

And the Winner - Weds is about Frannie Hannon (Cleo's cousin) and popular racecar driver Austin Parker. Frannie believes that she is too plain to attract handsome Austin Parker but he falls instantly for her but has a heck of a time convincing her.
