There are six stories here. The best would be the Kingpin trying to manipulate Iron-Man from inside prison and the Ghost Rider story (which doesn't appear to be related to the Civil War event). Overall for the Civil War event this one is pretty skippable. A couple of the stories leave you wondering what will happen next so you are left hanging as story points are being created and then left for future resolution. For completeness sake I am very happy to have a copy of this but it's one of the weaker volumes for story for the Civil War event.
Since there are 6 different stories here, I must review them individually. From Best to Worst: Heroes for Hire, War Crimes, Punisher War Journal, Thunderbolts, Ghost Rider, and lastly, Moon Knight. The top 3 alone would average 4 stars. T-Bolts a 3, GR a 2, and MK just sucks - minus 5 stars. Read the collection for your favs but skip Moon Knight.
Incredibly boring and doesn't read smoothly. Also, this was my first foray into the Moon Knight series and it was very very violent and gory. I had to keep checking I was reading something that belongs to the Marvel universe. Three stars for Ghost Rider - it was an interesting story that hooked me in quickly. Otherwise, this collection can be avoided and you won't miss anything.
A strong compilation of street level titles that tied into marvel's Civil War. Standouts were Charlie Hustons ultra violent Moon Knight issues,Matt Fractions Punisher War Zone ,Daniel Ways Ghost Rider (with vintage art by Texeira and Saltares) . Also, the Kingpin stand alone story.
The first few pages were pretty boring, and I either had to read the whole thing today or return it to the library. Guess which one I picked? I'll try to come back to it later...
