Montana Mavericks: Wed in Whitehorn #7

It Happened One Wedding Night

Rate this book
Handsome cowboy Ryder Redstone always got what he wanted, and he wanted Daisy Harding--as his wife. But she stubbornly refused to marry him, despite her carrying his child. She didn't deny that a blazing passion sizzled between them, but she insisted that she wouldn't accept a proposal inspired out of duty. Well, Ryder had had enough of this nonsense. He was determined to make Daisy irrevocably his, and while he regretted that he hadn't put a ring on her finger "before" they learned they were about to become parents, Ryder planned to change that the "next" time around!

This book didn't work for me, I honestly found both the characters immature and well half of the book nothing seemed to happen, these two would say hi and carry on, in one word not romantic.

The heroine Daisy annoyed me the most, she refused to admit the hero Ryder was the father and instead of acting like a mature 30 year old she acted worse than a kid. I mean yeah when she was little her mother confided in her that her father married her mother since she was knocked up and then found out that he was having an affair, this made her lose faith so she never dated until she lost her virginity to Ryder. So, she uses lame-ass excuses, even if Ryder IS a womanizer she should not have lied until the end and she kept judging him without no proof.

Ryder he was immature as well. He hadn't slept with anyone since Daisy but despite knowing her over-active imagination he flirts with a woman(not that he does anything or has any intention of). Honestly, Daisy was a psycho.

Handsome cowboy Ryder Redstone always got what he wanted, and he wanted Daisy Harding-as his wife. But she stubbornly refused to marry him, despite her carrying his child. She didn't deny that a blazing passion sizzled between them, but she insisted that she wouldn't accept a proposal inspired out of duty. Well, Ryder had had enough of this nonsense. He was determined to make Daisy irrevocably his, and while he regretted that he hadn't put a ring on her finger before they learned they were about to become parents, Ryder planned to change that the next time around!

Daisy-Ryder meet at the wedding of their sibbling Leanne(Daisy's sister)-Cade(Ryders Half brother),Ryder is a handsome cute sexy cowboy,he is good man,has secrets and fears of his own, sees Daisy and is attracted to her and they sleep together and he finds out Daisy is a virgin but before he could apologise or say anything the next day Daisy had already left in the night,he keeps flirting with other woman but all he can remeber is Daisy's face and tha night they spend together

Daisy is a sweet girl, she is a teacher and she comes to Leanne cause she quit the job cause they were going to fire her cause she was pregnant without a wedding ring so she herself quits, comes to ranch

Ryder is in love with Daisy it is quiet obvious while you read but he himself does'nt knows yet and when he comes to know Daisy is pregnant he asks her but Daisy says its not his but Ryder has this connection that its his child and as he spends time with Daisy and comes to understand and know her,he falls more and more in love with her but there's also a past Sandra who rejected Ryder before wedding cause she does'nt wants to spent her life with a cowboy and so he also fears that Daisy thinks he is not good enough to be a father and keeps his feelings to himself

Daisy has her own reasons to hide her feelings cause of what her mother confided in her when she was 16,it changed her in lot of ways

Really liked about the story was how inspite of their own fears you can see how Ryder-Daisy's love keeps growing and blooming, the secondary characters are also good ,though there is not a real serious issue here only problem is both Ryder-Daisy keep hiding their feelings but it was a cute love story, nice and easy read

Excellent read,a keeper for me

One romantic liaison following the wedding of her sister results in an unexpected pregnancy for quiet Daisy Harding, and rather than have to accept being fired by her school principal, she goes home to live with said sister, at least until she can find another job.

Little does Daisy expect to see the man she met at the wedding and she has no plans to admit who the father of her baby is. After all, she has no idea how he feels about her and what she's heard about him implies what was unforgettable for her probably was nothing but a one-off for him.

But she doesn't know Ryder Redstone and he's determined to find out if he is the father, which means he'll step up and be responsible. But will Daily let him?

It had a 30 year old virgin. So of course I was going to read it. Daisy and Ryder don't look like a good match on paper. He's a cowboy, a bit of a horse whisperer and does the rodeo circuit. He also has a bit of a reputation as a love'em and leave'em type. With reason we find.

Daisy of course has a good reason for being a virgin at such an advanced age. And those trust issues are exactly why she has no intention of telling Ryder he is the father of her child.

This is fairly different in style to my usual Presents reads but I'm starting to get the hand of these American small town extended family series since I read the Hart family series last year.

Ryder was a sweet guy and really does the right thing in spite of having some self-esteem issues around smart teacher Daisy. He is part Cheyenne Indian too which had an impact on him growing up.

Daisy occasionally annoyed me. Mainly over her stubborn prejudice about Ryder and not telling him he was the father. On the whole it was an enjoyable read.

A story of a woman, Daisy Harding, who feels her biological clock is ticking away so she decides to loose her virginity to a sexy rodeo guy, Ryder Redstone, at her sister's wedding. When she finds out that she is with child she decides that the father doesn't need to know. She works as a school teacher at and they are not happy when they learn she is with child and is not married. She quits her job and goes to visit her sister and brother-in-law. Unbeknownst to Daisy, Ryder is helping at her sister's farm. You can tell that Daisy and Ryder are drawn to each other but both are afraid to admit it. Her sister and brother-in-law can tell the attraction is there and do try to get them to admit it.

This is a Montana Mavericks story. It is the tale of Indian Ryder Redstone and teacher Daisy Harding who meet at her sister's wedding to his brother. Love blooms, as does Daisy's belly. Much conflict and denial lead to.........happily ever after. Shocking!

I had this book in a box of paperback books. I had completely forgotten that I already read it, and I barely remember it. That should tell you it wasn't a good, memorable book.
