Adam McNicols was a shy, introverted outcast who hated high school worse than the plague. Kids teased, bullied and ignored him on a daily basis, and he often fought with his mom to stay home. But after one cataclysmic day of tragedy and heartbreak, something inside him changes, snaps, and is damaged. Unable to suppress or control his new, violent feelings, Adam decides to get back at his school mates by abducting them, torturing them, and killing them. Will they catch him before he finishes wiping out his enemies? Will they catch him at all?

This is a cautionary tale about bullying. Adam is a 16 year old kid who is constantly bullied and tortured at school to where eventually, two distinct events in his life sends him over the edge and causes him to commit monstrous acts.

Despite his horrible acts, you kind of tend to feel sorry for the guy. I thought the author portrayed his feelings of loneliness and despair quite well, and what would lead someone to finally break. It's a shameful thing that this happens quite often at schools around the country.

The book needs editing, but the story kept me engaged the entire time, so it really didn't bother me enough. The book contains foul language, violence and some acts of torture, for those of you who don't care for that in a book. Otherwise, this is a story that you would find at least once in almost every school, except most wouldn't go to the extreme that Adam went through in the book for revenge.

3.5 rounded up.
The cover says 'the most brutal novel you will ever read'.
Anytime an author claims that, it gets my interest.
I hate to be so hard on this one, but it's not even in the top 10 of most brutal books I've ever read.
There are a few brutal scenes, but mostly it's a story. I'm not saying it didn't hold my interest, but it didn't live up to the cover

Good

This was a good story but for me took a long time getting anywhere but once things started happening that's when it got interesting. So I would recommend but it isn't extreme horror but does have its moments.

It had promise

The story had promise, and wasn’t terrible, but the dialogue was phony sounding and the first half of the book was too repetitive. The second half was a bit better. I felt angry with all the people who tormented Adam, but even that part felt forced and over the top.

Needs editing. I counted 6 mistakes and I was only 16 pages in. In no way am I carrying on however good it sounds. It was meant to be a story about a young, bullied teen who has had enough and decides to wreak his revenge but I'll never know now and all for the sake of a proofread.
"...on even theeven when"......that was the first classic followed by "why who her son was" and crockedcrooked/sautesaute/lent lint.......in quick succession. None of which make any sense whatsoever and any self-respecting editor should have sorted out before publishing. Page 16 and forth grade was referred to and I lost the will to live.

This book needs tons of editing. It also is not that brutal or disturbing and I did not care for the ending at all. I did give it two stars because there was a lot of heart put into it and you got to to see the main character slide away into something with no empathy. Some people might not like the fact that this book does not apologize for making the killer look like a sympathetic figure but when looked at through his eyes you can see valid points as hard as that may be to admit. I would of given it three stars but the editing was just so horrible.

Ok so this book was ok, I got a little kick out of reading one of the characters names having the same name as a person I know (family member). Pretty gruesome in parts, which didn't bother me I love horror movies etc. But in saying that I thought the book took a little bit of getting the story happening. But once it started, the action kick stuck around til the end. Wasn't a huge fan of the ending though.
