Lovely and easy to read. Very educational about important monuments in the United States and also about how being different to others around you is an incredible thing and doesn't define who you are. More suited towards middle to upper primary school children. One of many books in the amazing Flat Stanley series.

Favourite quote: "But you must remember this: being flat is what you are. Who you are is a very bright, very funny, very curious young boy." Said by Oda Nobo's voice in Flat Stanley's mind.

Flat Stanley is probably the last book a hardcore reader would want to read because flat Stanley isn't very detailed I would like it a lot more if the pages were longer and the book longer. I would recommend this book to someone that isn't much of a reader the plot is not very strong at all its very fast pace.

stanley's family goes to washington d.c. to be in a parade. stanley is the flag in the parade. he lets go of the pole his mom was holding and blows away. stanley meets the president who brings him safely back to his parents.

the kids and I both enjoyed this. we looked up. pictures of the hope diamond and the Washington monument and Abraham Lincolns statue.i love a book where they can be exposed to be things to learn about while being entertained
