***3.5 Stars***

I was so excited to finally be able to read this book as I had waited a long while after it was published for our library to carry it.

It was a great story line, something a little out of the ordinary and I loved the hero and heroine. The love story was precious...between the h and H and the both of them and the child! What I struggled with was the slow pace of the book. I just kept wanting to nudge forward frequently. I do feel the story was worth 4.5 stars but because it dragged so much I had to mark it down a star. I also felt it could have easily been thirty or forty pages shorter, feeling there was too much filler.

Do I recommend it? It depends if a slow moving story is a problem for you. I love to reread the books I love many times but I would not reread this because the pace was frustrating.

The meet-cute of this story is my literal nightmare. Great story. People can be chameleons: hiding who they really are to get what they want out of you. Thankfully, there are some heroes still around.

Britt Davis knew her ex-husband was an evil person, but she never dreamed he'd go this far. He's trying to get full custody of their son. Britt is beside herself. Britt's son was her world. Everything she did was to provide a better life for him. Meanwhile, her ex is doing everything in his power to cause problems for Britt. Unfortunately he has lots of power and money. Just when Britt feels like she needs to leave the country and hide, a stranger walks into her life. He's sweet, compassionate and so handsome. Will things get better or worse for Britt?

A perfect book for this time of year. I felt Britt's pain. I could see how hurt she was. Well written and wonderful characters, you can't go wrong with this book.

I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it really hits home. ~Copy of book provided by author in exchange for a fair review~
