A well written, and concise, biography of Ethan Allen, both the good and the not so good parts of his life. I very much enjoyed this book.

I enjoyed this book. When Ethan Allen was asked by whose authority he and his ‘mob’ entered His Majesty’s fort, he replied: “In the name of the Great Jehovah and the Continental Congress!” This was May, 1775. One of his mottos was ‘Life, Liberty and Property.’ Ethan Allen was not sinless by any means, but he fought for what he believed in. I wonder if Ethan Allen Furniture has read his history, and if the company is named after him.

Action-packed non-fiction book written for children. This Landmark Books series is wonderful! Josh and I learned a lot about Ethan Allen and what he did for Vermont (before it became a state) and the American Revolution.
