“Quinn lifted Lady Meade's hand and pressed a very correct kiss on her bony knuckles. Then he bent and brushed his lips over Viola's cheek.
Smart man. If he'd put her hand anywhere near his mouth, she'd have curled her fingers into a fist and clouted him a good one.
"I'll see you at home later, dearest."
"You know how we women are when we're shopping," She smiled venomously at him. "Don't wait up."
Quinn lifted a brow at that, but kept a smile firmly in place for her mother's sake. "Yes, well, try not to spend all my money in one place."
"Of course not," she said sweetly. "I know lots of places to spend all your money.”

“Sanjay, we've never talked about your domestic relationships, but you're a married man, aren't you?" Quinn asked over his shoulder, trying to sound nonchalant though his gut was jumping.
"Oh, yes, sahib. I have six wives and eight concubines."
Perhaps Sanjay wasn't the right one to give him the counsel he sought...”

“Love me, Kat.
The words repeated in his brain like a song he was unable to find the end of.
I’ve loved ye since I dipped your braid in that wax. Dinna fret about making a child. Let me be enough for ye. Ye’re enough for me.”

“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”

Hi Christine,Thanks for stopping by. I popped over to your site to see what you've got going on to stamp out illiteracy. Great cause. I'm always proud to be part of RWA's Literacy Signing each year. A few weeks ago in DC, we raised over 60K to support literacy projects. Brilliant!
Best,
Emily

Hello Rita! One of my books under my Diana Groe penname has been translated into Italian. Here's a link to my international covers: http://www.emilybryan.com/Going%20Glo...
I'd love to visit Rome someday. Merry Christmas.
Best,

Sorry I missed last night. I started to get my migraine yesterday. I'm still suffering with it so I can only handle short visits to the internet. Which I had something to cut down the glare. I'm super sensitive to light for days even once the headache goes away. :( I was looking forward to getting to know you better.
Thanks for adding me to your goodreads friends and for exchanging mewsletters with me. I thoroughly enjoyed yours this month. Congratulations on your booksigning event.
Thanks for being my goodreads buddy, Emily! My new romantic suspense, The Twist is a Bookstrand #1 Bestseller! A story of mind-bending control and unnerving metamorphosis, The Twist unravels the tale of a hotshot consultant as he struggles to foil a plot to steal $12 million and to rescue the feisty, female scientist who has stolen his heart.
