Federico Negri è nato a Torino nel 1972 e lavora a tempo (molto) pieno nell'area finanza di una grande multinazionale. Pubblica il suo romanzo d'esordio con qualche ritardo rispetto a quando se lo era proposto, poiché le vicende della vita lo hanno portato per alcuni anni lontano dal piacere della scrittura, pur rimanendo un avido e insaziabile lettore.
Lo ha sempre affascinato la potenza evocativa delle parole, capaci di far sognare, commuovere e gioire, a partire da semplici segni su una pagina bianca. In passato si è dedicato a scrivere di fantascienza, con alcuni "incompiuti", e ha inoltre coltivato questa passione su blog, forum di fanfiction e di racconti fantasy.
