This book would be really helpful for new teachers and the organizationally challenged. It would have been better with pictures, however, and lacked advice for those of us teaching in tiny classrooms where we barely have room for 30 student desks, much less "zones." Still, I found some useful nuggets of advice within.

There are some good tips here. Elementary teachers will find this more helpful, I would imagine, as many of the sections dealt with organizing things that secondary teachers do not generally handle. Since I run a rigidly-organized classroom, I affirm the importance of many of the recommended systems. This is recommended to all new teachers and to any veterans who still battle (as we all constantly do) to improve classroom organization.

Organizing a classroom might seem like a no-brainer. After being in the same classroom for nearly ten years I need help and this book is a great starting point. It helped me put together a clear plan and has lots of useful suggestions. If you want to clear the clutter, this book will show you the way.

Meh...bunch of obvious has-been ideas. Would be helpful to a new teacher but nothing eye-opening to a vet.

The suggestions in this book are common sense ideas that teachers like me need to see now and then. I do tend to save things, in case I need them later. I have decided to donate a large number of my 'teacher' books to our library to help build a professional section in our library for all teachers.

Interesting at times. It could be ok for quick ideas for revamping your classroom org, but there is nothing specific to grade levels, which I didn't like about it. No references at all, and it basically reads like an older teacher just speaking to you from experience.

As an experienced teacher, I found most of these ideas as common sense. Also this really relates to elementary school teachers. I didn't find much of this book useful for the above reason
