Owned by S.L. Carpenter is the first book I've read by this author and it will definitely not be my last. I was hooked within the first couple of pages and could not stop reading until I finished. Ownership is an intriguing concept and the author did a wonderful job incorporating this into Eric and Lauren's story. It was not too much or over-the-top and had just the right amount of control, tenderness, humor and sex to appeal to the reader. And the sex scenes were so hot and descriptive that it had me panting. I would highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more by this wonderful author.

Well....i think i was blown away by this little story...well written, very hot and i have NEVER read an erotic romance written by a man....a bit gobsmacked that a man could write as sensually as this!

Owned was a hot short read. Not as D/s as I like in BDSM, actually short of him "owning" her (which he didn't REALLY. She was still quite demanding) there wasn't really much BDSM to it. But it was Hot, Sweet and a bit romantic. :)

This was on the shorter end of the length spectrum, but it was interesting. Eric and Lauren have been meeting once a month for no-strings sex for a while. Eric wants a little bit more, so he proposes a weekend where she lets him direct everything... her clothing, where they go, what they eat, how they have sex. And during this weekend, Lauren realizes she's fallen for Eric and thinks since they agreed to no-strings that she needs to get out.
This was a very sensual story, and parts of it were quite sexy. One thing that kind of threw me is that while romances often have fade-to-black, a few of these scenes were fade-from-black. One example: Eric is talking about wanting to take her anally, and a page or two later, bam, they're doing that, but he's basically finishing. The preparation is half the fun, lol, so I missed that! Maybe I wanted just a little bit MORE explicit descriptions. Not that there weren't any... the very beginning when he's performing oral sex on her was described quite tantalizingly. :-)
Others mentioned that S.L. Carpenter is a guy. I can't say that I would have recognized that had I not been told. There aren't many male writers who do sensual erotica well, but this one was pretty good.
When Lauren got spooked, I wondered what would happen, and it was ultimately very sweet. I enjoyed the story, I just didn't love it.

Have you ever wanted to feel completely free? Free to not have to make choices - what to wear, what to eat, how to act, or even how to please another. Well in Owned Eric shows Lauren how free he can totally make her feel by Owning her.
Eric and Lauren are friends with benefits - and ohh what fantastic benefits they are, but Eric wants more from Lauren. He wants her to relax and let go because he knows that things could be even more amazing then they already are between them.
Lauren agrees to go along with Eric's idea of one weekend with no control. She will allow Eric to have complete ownership of her mind, body, and even her soul shattering orgasms (when he allows them).
Just like the warning says keep some ice handy because you are sure to get hot from reading this wonderfully written story. SL Carpenter gives us humor, dominance, submission, and some really fun ideas ;)

A short sexy sweet read, Owned by S. L. Carpenter made me want more of Eric and Lauren. I wish there was more to it. It was more role play and romance, than erotica and D/s.
Sometimes romance and erotica fit well together. Not the case in this short story, IMO, since one automatically cancelled the other.
Owned has a good plot and I'd have liked to see this book extended and Lauren being really OWNED.
