I thought this was going to be a collection of short stories about cats. OK ... I was half right. Yes, there are cats involved one way or another in each of these stories. However, the stories are mostly sex for the sake of sex. Not much substance in the stories.
Just not my cup of tea. I'm sure there are many readers who find this collection entertaining .. I'm just not one of them.
I ranked it 3 stars .. right in the middle.

Black Cat - I enjoyed this story, there was just the right amount of back story to make him a deeper character and to gain your sympathy for Belinda. But my rating actually went down a little at the end. I'm OK with a HEA, but this one just turned a little too quickly for me to be believable and it sucked me out of the story quite a bit. 3 stars
Friends With Benefits - This was really good at first, and that sex scene with 'bunny' was great. It was just Meg's insecurities and bitchiness that annoyed me, because it made it hard to imagine why he would want to be in a relationship with her. 3 stars
Fireworks - This was a steamy little read with, again, just the right amount of back story. It was a little awkward for a minute there but then it turned around and was just some good old fashioned (dirty) fun. 3 stars

This was an ok book. I liked maybe half of the book. There were some good stories, because of personal preference, the others I didn't really like. (I don't get why there need to be more than just the couple?) I really liked Black Cat, that's my favorite, Friends with Benefits was pretty good, andThe Soldier and the Siren was shorter than I would've liked but good. Overall, it was ok. The ones I liked were fun and steamy. I wouldn't mind reading just those one again. A good quick steamy read. Good Luck

The 4 stars are for Black Cat and Friends With Benefits. The other stories were okay, just not long enough. I had read Friends With Benefits before so I remembered it as a cute little story. I reread it today and it is. I love the friends to lovers stories and this one was perfect. Black Cat was a little "out there" but I loved it anyway.

The first 2 stories were good. The next 2 stories were rushed and really didn't have much of a story. The last 2 were from parts of a book and they were ok since I haven't read the books and really didn't know the story behind it. I would like to read a whole story by this author and I probably will end up reading more by here to see what else she writes.

July 24, 2012Way smexier than my normal fair, but also these short shorts didn't end up overly bogged down in smexy stuff - mostly a quick setup, a quick hook up and then on to the next story. I haven't read a lot of Johnson, but had just finished one of her 'red hot and blue's so I was a little surprised to find this was way spicier than the one I read (Dalton ) with some backdoor action and multiples too.

If you don't like short sexy stories, don't read this book and give it a bad review. For SHORT stories, this was a great book. No, you don't get a lot of character depth or background, but that doesn't make the stories bad or just ok. In my opinion, they are great and it got me interested in a new author. Win-win

Quick, easy read, I finished it in one night. Be forewarned, this is erotica. Since they are short stories they get to the action quick. I have an opportunity to meet the author this month, so I will probably read her military series.
