Monster Exchange Program Compilation One
Terri Bogard

Compilation 1 collects volumes 2-4. Volume 1 is Blob Fits In

Volume 2: Robot Goes To Prom
This one is probably the funniest of the series I've read so far. Bort, the titular robot, is hilariously un-emotional and robot-y even while taking his date to the prom.

Volume 3: But, Ogres Don't Play Chess!
Glumf, the eponymous ogre, has a reputation as a dumb jock, but has a crush on Gertrude, who only digs smart guys. Her brother, Louis, and Glumf hatch a plan to prove that Glumf is a viable dating prospect.

Volume 4: How to Win Friends and Influence People with your Interdimensional Powers
Cleats Longshot was the coolest quarterback in school... until Rod Jockstrap transferred in. Now, everyone loves Rod and Cleats is getting jealous.

Three stories. Three hits. I WILL be reading more of the Monster Exchange Program series.

PS I love love LOVE how the side characters are named what they are. Football Jocks include Biff Beefpile and Cleats Longshot. The captain of the swim team is Laps Mastersson. The "Captain" of the "Yearbook Team" is Snaps Viewfinder.
I also love how everything is a team.

A lot of the humor in these stories is an adult's ability to look back and realize how ridiculous high school was(even though you were taking it dead seriously at the time).

What a hoot! These stories are a home-run for fans of horror fiction with a slightly twisted sense of humor! Ah, if only my high school had had some of these guys walking the halls... would have been a blast! Had a great time relaxing and enjoying the Monster Exchange Program. Especially Ogre. Ogre rocks, but dude, try the Sicilian Dragon.
