Volevo dare un'altra possibilità ai traduttori italiani di M/M ma ho fatto male. Quasi €9 per questa traduzione piena zeppa di errori di battitura e schifezze varie. Tra l'altro è un bundle o cofanetto se preferite quindi potevano e sto dicendo POTEVANO!! anche rileggere il tutto prima di fare il bundle. Deve essere così difficile.
Il fatto è che questa traduzione sta rovinando il libro. Non so se non mi sta piacendo semplicemente, che di solito amo Amy Lane ma non mi aspetto che mi piacciano tutti, o è colpa della traduzione della Dreamspinner Italia.
Metterò i tre libri nell'elenco dei "da rileggere in originale" con Of Love x4 di Andrew Grey e Range #1 di Andrew Grey.
L'elenco degli erroracci e traduzione mal fatta è così lungo che cancello tutto e riscrivo solo questo messaggio per la traduttrice. Datti all'ippica insieme a Laura di Berardino ed Ernesto Pavan perchè a tradurre non siete capaci tutti e tre. Mi avete rovinato Andrew Grey e ora Amy Lane cosa che mi fa incazzare di brutto. Cambiate mestiere per il bene di Dio o almeno state lontani dagli M/M. E non per essere crudele, ma visto che ho sborsato quasi €9 di Talker + €6,xx x4 di Of Love + €6,xx x1 di Range/Storie della prateria, dovreste pure vergognarvi di ingannare il compratore/lettore con sto cesso di traduzioni. E in questo caso non sono nemmeno pedante perchè uno meno pedante di me avrebbe avuto la stessa reazione.
Poi la Dreamspinner Italia non vende...per forza. 💢
Alla fine a Amy Lane darò 5☆. Alla traduzione invece regalo 1☆ della carta igienica (eletronica essendo un ebook).
Badate bene che il voto è SOLO per Amy Lane.
Con questo ho chiuso con la Dreamspinner Italia per sempre. Solo la Dreamspinner originale e proverò il libro di Klune dalla Mondadori.
Il primo libro di Talker è proprio tradotto di merda. Il secondo e il terzo sono meglio ma certi tempi verbali... lasciamo perdere.
E ora? Si riparte da capo con Talker in originale. Solitamente preferisco fare il contrario ovvero prima l'originale e poi (forse) in italiano. Ma come si fa qui? Non mi sento soddisfatta di cosa ho letto. 😫

Talker was a series of 3 stories that Amy Lane has brought together as one Novel. This story features Tate Walker and Brian Cooper. Just to bring you up to date, Brian and Tate met on a High School Track Team Bus. This meeting changed their lives.
Tate Walker, severely burned as a baby, has scars both outside and in. His flamboyant dress, tattoos and Mohawk hairstyle were a cover up so people would not look beneath; only Brian did. Their friendship grew, as Brian watched Tate walked out the door on a 'date', where he was raped and brutalized, before Brian could `come out' and tell Tate he loved him. The heartbreaking scene when Tate returned home broken and bleeding telling Brian `he had hoped Brian was gay, but now he is so happy he is not, because he is the only one he has ever felt safe with.' Unbeknownst to Tate, Brian had found the rapist Trevor and beat him bloody.
In Talkers Redemption, Trevor in retaliation comes with two men, pipes and chains, attacking Brian in a parking lot, while Tate is sent for help. Brian lies for months in the hospital battered and broken while the `family' they are surrounded with look on; Old Doc Sutherland their friend and psychologist, and Brian's Aunt offers support to the young men. Talker has to make decisions about overcoming your wildest fears and darkest nightmares.
So you are all caught up, and now readers, we are up to And They Could Live Happily Ever After. I was so excited, having to get to see another glimpse of Talker and Brian. We find that it is a few years later, and they are still battling the remains of Brian's physical hurt from that deadly beating. They both now have scars on their bodies, and Brian has started working with clay. Talker bought him this to help his fingers to work better. College is almost over for Brian. Talker isn't even sure he knows what Brian's degree will be. But Brian has gotten a job in an art store and it blossoms into something Brian loves.
Brian's eyes are finally bright with accomplishment. He is creating things with his hands and he loves it. Brian is given a wonderful opportunity, and would walk away from it all for Talker. Brian is the one, the one who has sacrificed all for Talker. We read this beautiful poignant story and your wish is to take all the pain away for both of them. These boys who you have watched are growing into men. They have had to make some tough decisions along the way and deserve the Big Payout. Only Amy Lane can tell the story of love, home and family. We are shown the sculpture that Brian has made that is Talker, and we cry as Tate Walker sees how Brian Cooper sees him and we wish with all our hearts we could have someone bless us with that kind of love.

The Good:
* The characters: Talker is adorable. He's personable, caring, and very sweet. Brian is strong and sweet. Aunt Lyndsey is a great woman, the type that any of us would want to have in our lives.
* The history: Talker has scars, both physical and mental. His story is deftly explored, we really find out who he is. Brian is a loner. He never really fit in anywhere. Tate (Talker) is his first real friend.
* The realization: How these two find their way to each other is great. It's not a simple road, they actually have to work for it.
The Bad:
* An act of violence sets the stage for long lasting effects that will reverberate through all three books of the series.
* An ending that left me wanting just one...more...story!

This is one of those stories that pulls you in and won't let go. I found myself unable to put it down and read the entire series in one day.
Every woman wishes for a man like Brian...too bad he's gay. Loving, accepting, protective, empathetic....it must be a product of his upbringing. Raised by an artsy-fartsy aunt and homeschooled, he's not so comfortable out in the real world.
Tate is dealing with so much pain...his outer scars are probably the least painful.
I definitely recommend this series!!
