This book was my life for a few days. I downloaded the Kindle app onto my computer to read it and then I had to download it onto my phone so that I could keep reading when I left the house. More Michaela, more!

Very enjoyable first book, I read it in 6 hours because I couldn't wait to find out what the ending was. Highly recommended.

A review of Finding the Path Finding the Path (The Paths, #1) by Michaela Grey

First of all... NO SPELLING OR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS! The entire book.
Which means "no getting jerked out of an immersive storyline over trivial and correctable errors." You have to love that in any e-book with so many out there where the authors clearly didn't care about the readers' experience.

Judging from the other reviews I thought I might not like this book because of all the "horses and hot guys".
However, despite not being a fan of either of those two things, and despite being a bit heavier on relationship aspects than I'm used to(hey, it's a female author, that's what they do because that's what they like! ha, ha), it was a well put together story with quite a good plot line.

I liked that the plot was unpredictable more than once and despite being a new author the book had the solid feel of an accomplished author with many more books under her belt. Or maybe she did a ton of research on how to write right, right?
Regardless, the story's path was well laid out. (Speaking of which, it took me until halfway through the book to realize that the title was a play on words... but then I got an extra chuckle out of it.)

Without spoilers: the baddie was most vile and reprehensible, the good guys were cheerable, and the occasional random conversational quip made me snort in appreciation.

Another thing from a technical standpoint - there was no inclusion of things that weren't pertinent to the story, i.e., no long random diatribes or overly detailed descriptions of things that didn't matter, and thankfully - no obvious political or ideological rants to detract from the pure fun of a good story in a post-apocalyptic scenario that actually wasn't bleak, despite the lack of electricity (a terrible thing for me not to have).

The ending was pleasing but definitely left room for a sequel, which is good because I'd like to see more from this new author. I nearly said she's a diamond in the rough but a better description would be "she's got tons of raw talent, and I look forward to seeing her continuing to hone her prolific writing skills in the next few books."

Readers, buy with confidence no matter your genre preference. This one has a little of almost everything and OMG NO SPELLING OR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS OMG.

Fantastic book. I forgot about dark chocolate and homework while reading this book. Can hardly wait for the next one or should I say I hope there's another one; soon, please?

Exciting and full of action! I loved how the story unfolded...there was plenty to figure out, but I never felt that I was being spoon-fed. I'm hoping so much for another with the same characters!
