Dear Author, It starts with a dare. My friends know I’ve been crushing on Ben for months. They make a bet for one kiss. This week, Ben is operating the balloon ride on our town annual carnival. Can I just ask him to accompany me (I can tell him that I’m afraid of heights but curious to try) and maybe I can steal that kiss when I’m up there. Do I dare?

Aww! That was so adorable! A very sweet first kiss between two college classmates...in a hot air balloon! I could totally read more of Ben and Chase's story.
Very sweet m/m short story about two college kids' first date. Would be curious to see where they are a year from now.

This was an adorable story. I loved how Chase was so nervous about being alone with Ben. This was definitely a very sweet story that left me with a silly grin. I wished it had been longer, though. Here's hoping to a proper sequel for these boys!
Really, really sweet story. I want to read more about these characters. I want to read more by Azalea. Read this, it's free. (Just click in the URL above.)
Eek! So adorble and such a tease! This was a really short story about a guy finally building up the courage to go after his crush. It was refreshingly sweet and innocent.
This had great potential but the author didn't really pull it off. The characters and plot (such as it was) were ok but the writing was stilted and flat. Half the time I couldn't work out what was going on and there was confusion about how well the two main characters new each other. They sit together in at least one class (probably two) but the first time we see them together he clarifies his name. Seemed a bit weird to me.
What a wonderful beginning for Chase and Ben! I thought it was so cute that it took a bet for Chase to take that first step toward Ben, and what an adrenaline rush it had to be to have their first kiss on a hot air balloon. Thanks for a great story, Azalea. Hope to read more about them some day:)
I loved this. Chase has been crushing on a classmate (Ben) for months but has been too shy to approach him. His chance finally comes at the carnival.... with a little help from his friends.
I found it very diffficult to 'get into' this story. Chase acted as if he was a love sick fourteen year old and there was no passion or depth to make me care about either of them.
