Delicious Sinn
by Adrianna Dane (contemporary/rocker) - 3.5 stars I was actually surprised how good this was. It was a very well rounded story that let us get to know the characters enough that the progression felt natural. A few times Sinn talked and talked and revealed more than I think he actually would have... but the sex was hot and I enjoyed it. :)

Dirty Play by Kyle Adams (contemporary/geeks/nerds) - 5 STARS! I freakin' LOVE Kyle Adams's dweeb erotica! Whit was adorable and funny and perfect, and the sweet surprises we learned about Zack at the end were great. Anyone who liked this should def check out Dirty Zero and Dirty Drag for FREE at Smashwords!
Disciplinary Action by Jane Davitt (contemporary/BDSM) - 1.5 stars So, maybe it's my fault, because I'm not generally into menage books anyway. But this had a little bit of an emotional disconnect for me. It was a little too clinical in describing the initial sex scene (I didn't finish to get to the second one) without enough descriptors of how Zach actually felt, not just what he though about the situation.
And as far as the BDSM aspect... I'm all for fun and light sex scenes, but given the nature of the situation I thought it needed to be more serious. This was his first time, and one second Jack is giving an order, than Tay is making a joke and Jack just rolls his eyes. And Zach was back-talking all over the place, he never seemed appropriately submissive (neither did Tay for that matter). I guess I felt like they needed to set clearer boundaries.
And like Zach, I also thought he felt like a third wheel. Jack and Tay were adorable, but Zach felt out of place to me and he didn't really add anything to the story except some whining. So anyway, just didn't work for me.

Exception by Rinny Cinnamon (contemporary/law enforcement) - 3.5 stars This was a good short story, although the characters were well developed enough that had it been longer I'm sure I would have given a slightly higher rating. I loved Charlie's sense of humor, and I definitely felt a connection between he and Niko during their flirting. The bank robbery was good to set things in motion and up their connection, but given the length of the story they did a good job at not making it too intense and overpowering so that it took over. I liked the back-story on Charlie too, it was thorough and enough to make him a deeper character without being too much information for a short. Great HFN ending that leaves us hoping for more.

Fire on the Mountain by S.W. Vaughn (contemporary/first-time) - 3 stars I liked the story overall, it was just the way the story played out that I didn't like in parts. For example, I love a friends-to-lovers story, especially when one thinks the other is straight because there's that level of insecurity and really putting yourself out there. And I understand someone being in the closet, especially given what happened to Ethan as a teenager. What I don't understand is... JUST MOVE! Even if you wanted to stay in the closet I can't imagine living in that type of town always fearing the worst. That's crazy and I didn't feel there was sufficient explanation for it. We didn't even learn what Ethan does for a living until the end, so I felt a little lack of connection with Ethan since I didn't fully understand where he was coming from.
I felt I understood Jude more, although as bad as a drug habit is I think it's kind of hilarious that he was so rigid and strong about dumping Mike over that after all the other horrible stuff he did to him as a person was kind of brushed off. Don't get me wrong, drugs are bad blah blah blah, but I think calling him a faggot in a bowling alley and introducing him to his family as a drunk is worse. Woulda fit better if he caught him cheating I think.
Speaking of, I really hope Jude got tested after that dirt bag.
Hmm, what else? Oh yeah. Lightening hits a tree during a storm and blocks the road. OK, that puts them in the unusual situation they need to be in the have everything finally come to a head. Shit that goes down at the end . OK, that brings everything full circle. But Ethan spraining his ankle? One too many calamities for such a short story.
Lastly, I get that they wanted to make it seem like they were both willing to make sacrifices for each other... but I think Jude was wrong. That is not something anyone should have to sacrifice and I feel like it made him seem less strong as a character.
So those are all my little nit-picky things, but I enjoyed this as a light and quick read.
Firsts and Forever by Elizah J. Davis (contemporary/sweet-no-sex) -
For Those Who Wait by Azalea Moone (contemporary/college) - 4 stars Eek! So adorble and such a tease! This was a really short story about a guy finally building up the courage to go after his crush. It was refreshingly sweet and innocent.
Frieze Frame by Cari Z. (fantasy/mythical creatures) - 5 STARS! Wow, this was amazing. The blurb was funny and creative, but she didn't take it word-for-word and insert that into the story. Instead she created an entire world, life, whatever around a guy getting frozen into a frieze by a sorceress (and re-created the scene in the pic perfectly I might add.) So clever. It was funny right off the bat, and had me laughing out loud. Then it caught me off guard again by making me cry. Then at the end I was laughing again. I felt a huge connection with both of these guys, and really understood where they were both coming from. Loved it.

Short story about a jaded and abused rock star that is sought out by his dead friends younger brother. Lots of hot and kinky in this one.

Two guys meet whilst involved in a role playing game. This one wasn’t really my sort of thing.

A masseur meets a client outside of work and they both fall for each other over pints of Guinness and talk of family

When Jess meets the man of his dreams in the supermarket he realises that there is something very different about Omar but he would never in a million years have guessed quite how different.
Entangled 4.5 Stars
The straight rock star and his best friend finally admit their feelings for each after 5 years.
Envious Lullaby 4 Stars
Morgan wants nothing more than to get a recording contract but his friend Cameron is the one that lands it. He needs to get over his anger and hurt and go after the man of his dreams before it is too late.
Exception 3.75 Stars
Two men thrown together when they get up in a bank robbery. Enjoyed meeting Niko and Charlie a lot!

The old school bully and the old school nerd meet up after graduating and discover they never really knew each other that well and they have a lot more in common than they thought.

Erik dropped out of law school and his days of bartending in the sun are filled with hook-ups and casual sex until Tomas appears and offers him.

Firemen falls for the father of the boy he rescued. It was a bit quick!
Fire on the Mountains 3.5 Stars
Two best friends - one out and proud and one in the closet are forced to face reality on a camping trip that goes wrong.

Ahh This was a cute look back at the first meeting and subsequent dating of Aaron and Noah after one of them proposes.
For Those Who Wait 3 Stars
Short and sweet story of 2 boys sharing their first kiss in a hot air balloon.
Frieze frame 4 Stars
When Thanos is frozen into a stone statue but alive within by a maniac queen he suffers for years with no way for freedom or death. When the queens manic son comes across him they develop a friendship and discover they can hear each other. It takes over 2000 years to break the curse before they can get their HEA.

I think there is something for everyone in this volume, but if by some weird chance there isn't, hold on, there are 11 in total. If you like the m/m genre many of these books will be keepers.
Fair disclosure, as one of the M/M Romance Group moderators, I could be considered biased, however, these stories, as a whole, do rate a 5 star rating in my opinion.

I really liked the many contemporary and rockers' stories in this volume and the fact that the BDSM share was very light this time.

I was going to give it 2 stars, possibly even 1. But Cari Z.'s story did it for me.
Dropping a Stitch in Time was a nice story by Casey K. Cox
Envious Lullaby was meh-ish.
Feels so Good When You Stop was really good.
Fire on the Mountains was good.
Frieze Frame was absolutely great!
But all in all? I don't suggest this book, or hell, this series in general, to anyone.

Okay, I admit I am somewhat biased towards this Anthology, given that I am one of the five-man (woman?) team who produced this collection of 11 Anthologies on behalf of the M/M Romance Group. But I do think there is something for everyone in each Volume, so while each individual story may not be a five-star read for you, there will be at least one that will reach out to you. Throw in the fact that all these wonderful authors donated their time and talent for the members of the M/M Romance Group in the group's Love Is Always Write event, I can't help but rate it 5 stars

Short stories by a number of different m/m authors across a wide range of genres, topics, places and events all based on a photograph and a readers letter - brilliant premise to start a story. I really enjoyed the stories in the second half of the book....a little bit of something for everyone, sweet, sexy and hawt! Enjoyable read,

As one of the group who worked on editing and proofing these stories and helped put the anthologies together I might be considered biased, but these anthologies are definitely worthy of the 5 star rating.
