Pulang
PADA AKHIRNYA SEMUA ORANG INGIN PULANG. Tidak peduli seindah apa pun tempat yang sedang dikunjungi, pulang menjadi sebuah kerinduan yang tidak terelakkan. Hal itu juga yang dirasakan oleh Angel, yang menghabiskan hari-harinya memandangi bunga-bunga cantik di toko bunga Angel’s Florist. Angel tidak ingat bagaimana dirinya berakhir di tempat itu. Meskipun tidak ada yang bisa melihat keberadaannya, bagi Angel, berada di antara kumpulan bunga-bunga memberikan rasa tenteram bak obat bius yang membuat ia melupakan segalanya, termasuk tentang masa lalunya. Sampai suatu hari seorang pria bernama Adam berkunjung ke Angel’s Florist dan membuat Angel mulai mempertanyakan keberadaannya. Interaksinya dengan Adam akhirnya membangkitkan keinginan Angel untuk menemukan kembali jati dirinya. Adam tidak pernah menyangka kunjungan spontannya ke toko bunga membuat ia berakhir bertemu dengan Angel, seorang wanita misterius yang terlihat kehilangan arah dan tujuan. Dihadapkan pada kenyataan bahwa tidak ada yang bisa melihat wanita itu selain dirinya, Adam pun setuju membantu Angel menemukan jalan pulangnya.

Selesaiiiii! Suka covernya cantik 😍. Aku masih cukup suka cara berceritanya. Bab pertama lumayan bikin penasaran. Tapi aku merasa novel ini kurang greget di aku dan nggak sesuai ekspektasiku. Jadi apa yang disampaikan dalam novel ini kurang ngena gitu 🫣. Yang pasti aku suka kata-kata ini, ‘Bahwa apa yang terjadi bukanlah sepenuhnya kesalahan, tapi sebuah proses pendewasaan menemukan arti kehidupan’. (Hal 175).

Angel sudah lama berada di sebuah toko bunga, tanpa ada yang menyadari kehadirannya. Hingga suatu hari, ada dua orang pembeli yang bisa melihatnya. Seorang perempuan dan seorang laki-laki bernama Adam. Angel memohon kepada Adam untuk menolongnya mencari tahu siapa dirinya sesungguhnya.
Novel ini cukup unik. Tokohnya adalah sesosok "jiwa" yang pergi dari raganya. Jiwa ini pun mencari jalan pulang. Yang menarik karena novel ini memberikan sebuah defenisi yang berbeda tentang pulang.

Who is not interested in reading romance stories? Sofi Meloni, who has published many romance genre novels, through her book entitled "PULANG" gives a different nuance from her previous works. This is because, Sofi Meloni presents mystery, fantasy, and also spiritualism in this one work. This book raises the issue of mental health, which is currently in great demand by the general public, especially young people.
This novel by Sofi Meloni is categorized as a best-selling novel because, in that novel, Sofi Meloni presents a unique, interesting, and intriguing romance storyline that arouses the curiosity of its readers.
The story begins with Angel, a mysterious girl who is in her florist, Angel's Florist. She often spends her days at her florist. Every day she spends at the florist accompanying Mrs Rosa, who takes care of the florist. While at the florist, Angel felt her heart at ease. However, there is one thing that is a problem, she does not remember all of her past memories.
After following the storyline, the writer presents the unusual character Angel and presents a storyline that provokes the reader's curiosity in each chapter. The language used also flows and can be enjoyed while reading.
However, the emergence of the character Adam changed Angel's life. Adam's presence again makes Angel question who she really is. She wants to find her identity as a real human being.
After the explanation given by Angel to Adam, Adam was moved to help Angel "go home". As the title implies, Angel wants to "go home" to her true self. Together with Adam find a way to “go home”. Along the way to find a way home, Sofi Meloni presents a story full of adventure. Angel's background is shown. Angel and Adam experience various obstacles while finding a way to "go home".
The reader will be curious about the next storyline when reading the story. Readers will be involved in the mission of finding the meaning of life and the identity of the characters in the story. The characters Angel and Adam provide inspiration and meaning in their respective lives to readers.
Through her story, Sofi Meloni's work can provide inspiration and an essential message for her readers. That in order to live, humans need their hearts, minds, and hopes. If one of these things is missing, then that person will not have the enthusiasm to live life. In addition, this novel raises the issue of mental health, where self-happiness is the key to life and mental health. If a person is still living under pressure or in the shadow of someone who makes her sick, then happiness can never appear.
This novel has a unique and unusual storyline and conflict. Readers will continue to feel curious to help solve the problems in the story. Apart from the interesting conflict and storyline, the characterization of the main characters, Angel and Adam, is also very strong. They convey the emotions and feelings that reach their readers. Through strong characterization, the moral message contained in this novel can be easily grasped by readers. Moral message about respecting our life. Sofi Meloni uses language that is relaxed, flowing, and can be enjoyed when read. Even though this novel is a romance genre, this novel can inspire readers. The storyline that uses fantasy flashbacks makes some parts difficult for readers to understand. The plot shifts are also very fast, whether the characters are in the past or the present. However, these shortcomings are not comparable to the various advantages presented by Sofi Meloni in the novel "PULANG".
"PULANG" by Sofi Meloni is suitable as a reading companion for those of you who like sweet romance stories wrapped in fantasy. For those who like reading romance and fantasy stories, you will very engage with the story. You will finish this book very quickly because when you start reading this book, you will also feel like you want to know the reason for every incident with the character. You will be curious about the ending of the story without skipping every chapter in the novel. This novel can be read by teenagers to adults. I don't recommend children to read with conflicts and a slightly complicated storyline because they might get confused with the storyline. This romance novel also provides various important moral messages about respecting life and how to deal with mental health issues. So, I recommend you read this book or add it to your future wish list.

Novel bercover cantik yang langsung selesai dibaca dalam sekali duduk. Pas baca blurb nya sempat kepikir kayaknya novel ini bercerita tentang tokoh utama yang sedang koma, tapi author mengemas cerita dengan berbeda dan ada unsur fantasy nya juga. 1 bab nya pendek tapi bikin nagih buat lanjut terus karena penasaran dengan flashback kisah masa lalu Angel dan apa yang membuat Adam bisa melihat serta berkomunikasi dengan Angel. Overall suka sama novel ini, walaupun kurang puas karena porsi karakter Adam kurang banyak.

Buku secerah ini trigger warning-nya "gelap" banget kayak negara ini, eh.
Berkisah tentang Angel yang "terjebak" di sebuah toko bunga. Tak ada yang bisa melihatnya sampai seorang pria bernama Adam datang untuk membeli bunga. Mereka terkoneksi saling bisa "melihat" padahal sama-sama [...]. Lalu, Tiara, sang pemilik toko bunga, "terjebak" dalam trauma masa kecil dan hubungan toxic. Dia merasa hidupnya tak lagi berarti. Di saat itu, Angel seperti melihat dirinya sendiri pada diri Tiara. Ia dan Adam pun memecahkan misteri mengapa ia, Adam, dan Tiara saling terkait.
Buku ini ditulis kriteria romance, tapi menurutku malah lebih ke magic realism—fantasy. Unsur romance-nya toxic, adegan manisnya pun adanya di epilog, haha. Meski begitu, premisnya ini unik, fresh, dan menarik. Bisa dibaca sekali duduk pula. Eksekusinya pas, hanya memang karena tipis jadi beberapa bagian serasa dibikin cepat-cepat. Latar karakternya pun sedikit kurang dieksplor jadi nggak tahu ini tuh usia mereka berapa, kerjanya apa, back story-nya pun hanya di-highlight tipis-tipis.
Tetapi, aku tetap bisa mengikuti ceritanya dengan baik, suka banget sama sampulnya, dan makna yang buku ini ajarkan untuk self love dan lepas dari toxic relationship. Ada teka-teki dan twist-nya juga.
Kalau lagi cari buku magical realism-fantasy-romance tipis, buku ini direkomendasikan.

Gimana jadinya kalau kita hidup tanpa harapan dan semangat?
Itu yang dialami Tiara, perempuan yg terbebani trauma masa lalunya hingga tidak punya harapan hidup lagi.
Buku dengan cover super cantik ini dibuka dengan keberadaan sosok tak kasat mata yg gatau siapa dirinya. Dia tinggal di toko bunga, ga kenal konsep waktu dan ga inget apa-apa. Suatu hari ada pengunjung toko bunga yg bisa melihatnya, seorang lelaki bernama Adam. Tak pikir panjang dia berusaha meyakinkan Adam untuk membantunya mencari tau siapa dirinya, dan apa yg terjadi padanya.
Singkat cerita, penelusuran mereka berujung pada Tiara. Si “sosok” mulai mengalami kilas balik tentang kehidupan Tiara, hingga akhirnya perlahan-lahan misteri tentang apa yg terjadi pada Tiara dan siapa sosok yg menjadi sudut pandang tunggal cerita ini terungkap.
Walaupun di cover belakangnya disebutkan kalo genre buku ini romance, tp menurutku lebih cocok masuk ke magical realism sih. Ga ada romancenya sama sekaliii, cuma hubungan toksik yg ga ada manis-manisnya🥲 ceritanya pun sebenernya singkat, ga sampe 200 halaman. Tapi topiknya lumayan serius nih: kesehatan mental.
Menurutku pesan yang diangkat buku ini bagus bgt, nunjukin kalo hubungan udah ga sehat ya mending di-cut off aja walaupun tentu butuh keberanian besar buat ngelakuin ini. Ada kalanya kita perlu egois dan prioritasin diri sendiri. TAPI, menurutku eksekusi ceritanya masih bisa dipoles sedikit. Aku notis beberapa errors yg mungkin kelewat saat editing. Dialog karakternya terasa kurang natural, kadang kasual kadang baku. Dan umur karakternya jg ga keliatan padahal mestinya semuanya orang dewasa.
Tambahan buat Swifties: buku ini tuh gabungan Out Of The Woods & You’re Losing Me. Tepat setelah kalimat terakhir, ada Begin Again yang hampir diputer tapi keburu di-pause. Kebayang ga si wkwk gitulah😂

Selesai dalam 2 kali duduk. Buku yang covernya aja cantik, eh isinya mengandung TW berat, gelap, kelam, sekaligus berbunga (pusing ga tuh?). Konsepnya aku suka, eksekusinya pas (cuma kadang agak membingungkan), endingnya so warm 😌 tapi KENAPA KAMU GA NYADAR KALO DIA ITU *piiip*??
