I couldn't put this down until I finished it.
Singing at a hard won gig Alana makes eye contact with JP a tough, arrogant music man. From his expression he doesn't seem to like her singing and the scene is set for a scorching encounter after the show.
From the first page you are absorbed into the gig's atmosphere and feel Alana's frustration at JP's derogatory opinion of her. The setting is glitzy but hard edged and grounded in reality.
A real page turner. This tempting novella leaves the reader with a 'Happy For Now' ending and definitely wanting more of Alana,JP and music city.
The story focuses on Alana and JP's electrifying connection and its erotic outcome but the book delivers more than this. The possible eventual outcomes of Alana and JPs story are many. This book is definitely the start of a very special series.

I received a copy of this story from the Author in exchange for an honest review.
Rock Into Me is one of those perfect novellas. A prequel to Crash and Burn, the next book in the series, that releases in August. It gives you a great look at the characters, Susan Arden’s writing style and of course it has some incredibly combustible HOT sex.
Alana St. James is not your typical heroine, she’s a rock star with attitude, quite frankly she’s pretty freaking awesome. She’s the kind of girl that I secretly wish I was, well maybe it’s not so much a secret now ;) It was refreshing to read about a strong woman.
Jonathon Lansing is a deliciously powerful music executive. He can make careers for up and coming artists and he has decided that he wants to make a career for Alana. So yummy, he could really be moving onto my list of Book Boyfriends, pure YUM.
Alana and Jon have the most incredible chemistry. Susan Arden can write some off the charts HOT sex scenes. Seriously, you may really need a cold shower after reading this book. Don’t get me wrong though, it has a great storyline to go along with the hotness. It’s a nice set up for the following books.
The side characters from the band Orion where interesting and I am looking forward to their stories, especially Christy and Billy.
Rock Into Me is like a delicious cupcake of sinful sexy goodness. I can’t wait to read more about these fabulously interesting characters. I will definitely be tuning in for the rest of the series. If you are in the mood for an extremely well written novella with some definite sexiness that jumps off the pages, then go pick this one up.

This is the first time I have read anything from Susan Arden and all I can say is she has found herself a new fan!!!
It starts off with Alana singing on stage with her band Orion. Everything is going awesome the crowd is going nuts and everyone is having a blast. But then she looks out into the front row and sees this gorgeous guy. And this guy looks like he wants to be anywhere but listening to her sing. She is so pissed that is sings the last song all sexy to him and when she is done he is gone. when she spots him again they eye each other and sparks fly just like when she was on stage. when he comes over Alana finds out the he is Mr. Lansing from Lansing records. when they start talking Alana finds out that her manager signed them to a contract with his label and took off with the money. the best parts in this story is the verbal sparring between Jon (Lancing) and Alana....oh and the sex! lol they both are braking personal rules by having sex but they decide that they can enjoy each other for one night(at this point im like yea right there is no way) the chemistry between the to of them is way to strong for just one night. and now i have to wait to see what happens and i cant wait so people go out and get this story its great you will love it i know i did. and im going to be getting some of Susans other books too!! so make sure you check out her other books too

Alana comes alive on stage, feeding off the energy of the crowd and riveting them with her performance. during a show her attention is captured by a grumpy looking man near the stage, determined not to let his apparent annoyance with her, affect her performance and she focuses all her energy into changing his mind.
J.P Lansing is right where he doesn't want to be, front and centre watching Orion perform, unimpressed by their demo he is only here to help out a friend. I don't read M/F often but the premise of this one was so different I had to check it out. Rock Star Romances are big but most of those rock stars are guys--this one is a feisty gal who gives them all a run for their money! I don't know much about the Nashville music scene but if it's anything like this it's a miracle they get any music recorded! Rock Into Me is a hot and sexy little read; it pulled me right in and if that darned train hadn't come to my stop so soon I would've devoured it in a single sitting.

Holy hell Susan Arden what have you done to me?!?! You get me all worked up, fireworks exploding, hot and bothered and completely satisfied but craving more! I WANT MORE...AND I WANT IT NOW! Are you doing this to us on purpose, cause you're killing me! If you want a smoking hot story with a sassy lead girl who doesn't whine and hot to trot man who you can't get enough of...especially the dirty talk, pick this up and read it. I hope there is more coming in this story. I can't wait to read her other books.

Rock Into Me was wild ride! It grabbed me from the get go. Alana and Jon are so vibrant...just the eye contact was scorching. My only complaint was I wanted the story to go on... I completed reading the book but I wasn't finished!!!! I can not wait for the next book in this series.

Great Start to a New Series
Alana St. James is the lead singer of Orion, she has worked hard to get here and her unique voice and appearance garners the attention of the room whenever she is on a stage.
Jonathan Lansing or J.P as he is known owns the Lansing label which is an umbrella for several companies producing and recording multiple genres of music.
Lansing has come to see Orion play as a favour to his business partner, he has seen the demo tape but from what he saw he would not have chosen to come, but once the lead singer walks on stage and opens her mouth he knows he will be thanking his partner tomorrow. Alana has a room full of people yelling and applauding the band but once she notices the annoyed suit in the front row she can only focus in his direction. Alana's manager signs a contract to have her work Lansing for two weeks and when she learns that the man who seemed so irritated by her performance will now be her boss she shows she can match his attitude with her one of her own but once their fire settles another fire will rise and they will both realise there is more to explore between them than just Alana's voice.
Rock into Me is the introduction to the Rule Breaker Series by Susan Arden. I enjoyed this novella and look forward to reading the next instalment to see where Ms Arden takes us with her characters and their storyline.

What a great book. Even for a short book, scorched my Kindle up.
This is the story of Alana St James, lead singer of Orion. Orion is an up and coming band hoping to catch a break. At a local club in Nashville on stage Alana sees a man in the crowd and they lock eyes. He looks pissed & very unhappy and she is not sure why. She feels that he thinks she is a horrible singer and wonders what his problem is. Excerpt she finds out that he is a local big time record executive named Jonathan Lansing. He is instantly smitten by her and thinks she is a bona fide spitfire and she-devil. He is instantly attracted to her. Now he is going to be their new producer and promote her into a big time band. Is Alana going to be able to curb her rebellious attitude and listen to what Lansing has to say or is he going to make her crazy with desire and his horrid attitude.
I loved this book. I love the chemistry with Alana & Jonathan. I also love the secondary characters and can't wait for their stories, especially Christy. I think she is going to be fun. Also can't wait to see what craziness comes with their rise of fame.

The heat is on in Nashville!
This is the first novella from Ms. Arden that I have read, and it won't be the last. The writing flowed so well that it kept me turning the page, I loved seeing the stage early on from Alana's point of view. I also liked that this novella wasn't your typical girl swooning over the rockstar hero, as it was actually the other way around.
Alana is a hard worker with a strong, yet down to Earth attitude. J.P. was an okay hero. Honestly, I wasn't too smitten with his character but when men are so sexy you sometimes forgive them for being total jerks. And it's not like Alana couldn't hold her own against him, as he dished it out she did so right back.
I was pleasantly surprised with how much story Ms. Arden was able to fit into 51 pages. I would recommend this read to anyone looking for smug back-and-forth characters and a hot summer read. I look forward to the steam the author plans to provide in future installments of this series.

Alana St. James is the lead singer of Orion and is a force to be wreckened with! She gives her career everything and when she catches the eye of Mr. GQ scowling at her during a concert she flips! So unnerved by him she purposely gives him her full attention during a song only to get the same response. Little does she know her future lies in his hands...and oh what Jonathan Lansing's hands can and will do...
This is a short and incredibly HOT read. I was hooked immediately but when "Good evening ladies." is spoken in a deep British accent I was done for!!! The constant tension and intensity between Alana and Jonathan is off the charts. This is the perfect read when you don't have the time available they lost in a book for hours...I highly recommend it. The only downer is that I am impatient and I want more of them...NOW please...

The book gave me what I expected of it. A short time span, actually just one night. A night of lust, but that's what I knew I was in for. Unlike a lot of other books like this one somehow manages to forget to put in somewhat of a plot, but this one actually had one that matched the short length of it. The characters were few, but most of them likable.
The writing was very good as well, and the story was well paced even with the few pages of it.
In whole, a good short story that doesn't take much time to get through and is a great way to spend some time on. Nice erotic story with a bit of a plot that I often miss in these types of books.

Wow! If you are looking for a hot summer read, Rock Into Me by Susan Arden is it! Ms. Arden doesn't disappoint with this first in a series book. Ms. Arden always provides great sizzling scenes in her books and this book is no exception. The heat between Alana and Lansing will capture you and you'll find yourself wanting more. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a strong chemistry between characters and a strong female character who knows what she wants.

*Five Stars* Rock Into Me was everything I'd imagined it would be! I love a sassy, smart mouth female lead who goes up against a tough, dominating male. This is a perfect read for anyone who loves deep, sexy and wild scenes! Ms. Arden delivered from page one till the end. With each scene the well developed characters and setting jumped off the page and came alive!

Holy crap! This book was fantastic. You put a hot female lead singer and a cocky, gorgeous male label exec together and the sparks fly! The heat from this story had me worrying that my kindle was going to melt! This book was well written and really embodies what a rocker romance is... Music, sex, and oh my god, panty soaking hotness! I can't wait for the next installment! ! ! ! !

I could not put this book down. You have Alana this amazing artist singing on stage and this intense connection with a smoking hot guy from the audience. The chemistry between them is electrifying and did I mention that he is British? This was a fast read pack full of heat. I can not wait to read more by this author!

Great first installement to the Rule Breaker Series! Alana and Lansing are scorching up the pages with their version of the battle of the sexes. He is so alpha and she is so totally independent... fireworks start right away.

A little disjointed for my taste. The writing seemed to skip around from person to person with no flow. And it was really really short. Just as the action started- it ended. Not sure if I'll continue with this series or author

I wasn't swept away by this book. I found the story a little slow even though the book was only 51 pages long. The characters were ok but I'm not sure that I'll carry on with the series.

She sees him during her show, he seems to be the only person in the club not enjoying the show. She is determined to make him enjoy it and after the show learns that they have a contract with him.
