3stars -could have done without the epilogue

1.75stars -never really felt connected to the main couple for this one, esp when they added a third to spice things up. and I don't see why they couldn't have had their threesome in a different setting than above the bar when the first story's MC used to live.

Screwed
1.5stars -started off pretty good but this would have been so much better if the last chapter had been Max and Doug simply talking things out and not barely saying anything important as they instead have sex. it literally felt like the sex was just inserted into the story for the sake of sex when it was completely unnecessary. and normally I'm not all that bothered by it in fiction, but it really didn't work in this story.

A quick enjoyable read with some lovely sex scenes and sweet romance. I liked the way the titles were both indicative of the story and also a cocktail that one of the main characters drank.

Bottoms Up by Amanda Young. Three very short m/m stories. I liked some more than others. Short stories are nice sometimes but these seemed just a little too short. Not enough characters development. A lot seemed missing.

Nice, easy, smutty read. I really liked this book but I hated the second story out of the three and dropped down my rating as a result. In the first story we meet Briar, owner of the Henley Pub, who has a run in with a high school jock he'd had a crush on. This leads to more than he would've ever thought possible; I liked the interaction between Briar and Truman and thought the whole thing was hot. I also really liked that this story gave you an epilogue so you could see where the pair ended up. The second story features Zaki and Caleb who have more of an 'open' relationship. Its totally cool if you like that sort of thing but I hate it and if I'd been in Caleb's shoes when Zaki gave him his 'surprise' I'd have flipped my lid. I was thankful that this story was the shortest of the three.
The final story in the book deals with Max and Doug. This story has the angst that the previous two stories were lacking and I really felt for Max with all he'd been put through. I was glad when Doug came to his senses though I really wish we'd been given an epilogue with this one just to see how the couple was doing after all was said and done. The sex was good but I almost wish it had been slowed down a little to reflect how much the couple cared for one another.

Overall I liked this one more than I thought I would but that second story just soured it for me. I'll read the book again but I'll be skipping that middle story next time around.

This was a nice easy read with several hot, sweaty, yet sexy scenes. All three stories were good but I really liked Briar and Truman's story; it was hot and I enjoyed their friendly bantering/flirting.

I really liked the first story, and would have happily given it 4 stars. I'd actually enjoy a more complete book featuring Briar and Truman.
I skimmed a lot of the second story, and would give it 3 stars. It featured the least passionate 3-some ever.
I didn't even finish the 3rd story. Doug was a douche.

Since I read these from the 3 book volume, my overall rating is 3 stars.
