Not so well written.

It's certainly not easy to read, but it is by far the most complete and trustworthy source on chemical thermodynamics I've come across so far. If one is patient enough to read through the initial chapters without skipping seemingly superfluous information, the later chapters turn out to be quite clear and not complicated at all.
The one thing I like most about this book is that it doesn't omit important deductions the way a lot other books tend to do almost automatically. Everything is carefully detailed, and this can make the reading a bit heavy, but I for one believe that it is better this way.

As much as I wish I had never set sights on this ream of paper, watching it burn made me indescribably happy.

One of the hardest reads i have ever done

I did not have positive experiences reading this book for my class, but aside from that context, I still wouldn't recommend it as the best option for a Chem E Thermo textbook. Some solved examples were difficult to follow. And whoever assigns example problems from this text are cruel.
Did I read all of it? No, but enough. Out of 1000 pages, I read a lot. Too much really. Also my professor 's lectures were basically the book.
Am I really adding this to my goodreads goal? Yeah I think so. One I think it's funny. Two I did read some of it. And Three I'd like to remember this years down the line.

Unnecessarily complicated, you have to read through everything twice. There are much better books, like the one my professor wrote: The Thermodynamics of Phase and Reaction Equilibria We used both books in the course and Sandler's wasn't the popular one.
