Nina Valentine is done with New York. After spending the last year struggling to make it as a painter, all she has to show for it are bills she can't pay. Out of money and sick of struggling, she decides it's time to pack it up and head back to her hometown in New Hampshire.
When she meets Ian Sinclair at her going away party, Nina's instantly attracted to his dark, smoldering looks and lean athletic body. When he asks her back to his apartment, she's willing to overlook the fact that he's a high-powered lawyer. It's just for one night, and guys as gorgeous as Ian don't come around every day.
Ian has never had a problem getting women into his bed, but after his hot night with Nina, all he wants is more of her. So he makes the curvy painter a deal - stay in the city for a few weeks and he'll take care of everything.
Nina agrees, even though she knows better than to get attached. He's a rich corporate suit, she's a struggling artist. But as the connection between them deepens and Ian takes her to places she's never been - both in and out of the bedroom - Nina doesn't know how much longer she can resist.
Tempt Me is a 28,000 word steamy novella.
Set Loose
Emily Chase is desperate. Already deep in debt thanks to an injury that ended her ballet career, she's stuck in Las Vegas wondering how she'll pay for her car repairs. It's not until she finds herself in the Pink Pussycat strip club that things start to look up. Just being there turns her on, and when she sees the money the dancers are making, she wonders if there could be a wild, sexy stripper inside her just waiting to come out. Then she meets gorgeous bouncer Cutter Lawrence, and he turns out to be just the inspiration she needs.
Cutter notices the beautiful blond the second she enters the club, and after catching sight of her impromptu audition, all he can think about are her endless legs and creamy skin. As soon as she's hired he know he's in trouble. The chemistry between them is unmistakable, and watching her strip is pure torture. But he's fresh off a bad break-up, and the last thing he wants is to be the guy Emily slums with before she ditches Las Vegas and returns to her real life.
Cutter tries to keep his cool, but his restraint evaporates in the face of Emily's heat. Soon the two of them are in far deeper than they ever expected. The only question is, how long will it last?
Set Loose is a steamy 38,000 word novella and it's the first book in the Sin City series.
Isabel began reading romances at the age of fourteen. That's the year her grandmother came to visit, bringing with her a shopping bag filled with (very tame) Harlequin and Silhouette romance novels. Isabel was immediately and forever hooked. What could be better than experiencing all that lust and new love just by reading a book?
She earned her MFA in poetry, but meeting her soon-to-be-husband made her too happy to write her usual melancholy poems. It was time to try her hand at writing the kinds of books she’d been gobbling up for years. Now she writes steamy contemporary romances about men and women discovering their true selves while navigating their way to great sex and true love.
In her spare time, Isabel watches British mysteries, plays disc golf (it’s a thing), and religiously re-watches Dirty Dancing. She lives in Connecticut with her conveniently tall, dark, and handsome husband.

Not a bad Set especially since it was free. Both books had decent characters with an ok story line. It just seemed ho hum though, the story just didn't grab you completely, the characters just weren't that interesting . At least not enough to read the next books in the series. I just didn't feel a connection to the characters or the stories to devote more time to these books.
Two stories that each are similar. The girls are artists that are down on their luck and a handsome man comes in to save the girls from moving back home to live with their parents. The difference is that one man is a artist/lawyer and the other is an artist/bouncer.
I got this two pack of novellas free on Amazon and they were really quite good! In Tempt Me, Nina is at her going away party...all set to leave NYC and head back home (with her tail between her legs) because she couldn't make ends meet in her chosen career as an artist...when her roommate introduces her to Ian, a hot and sexy lawyer. Of course they have an instant attraction and off they go to his place for a night of passion. One night is never enough though...and that starts a series of dates and then much more as Nina realizes she doesn't want to go back to where her judgemental parents are expecting her to make a different choice in her career. Several more things happen in quick succession and all ends as it should with a sweet HEA (for now) that seems to be very fast...but hey, it's a fictional romance and these things do sometimes happen in real life as well! There is going to be another book continuing on with their story and I am curious to see what that will bring. Just as in the first book, the next one Set Loose has a woman on the edge, needing a job, not wanting to go back home but having a hard time making ends meet. Ballerina Emily was injured but still loves to dance...and now that she is in Vegas, she trades one horizontal pole for a vertical one...and figures out that her classical training works just fine when stripping. The money is great, her co-workers get along with her and that bouncer...yummy Cutter...a Native American hunk who becomes her protector first, and then her lover. Emily's plans to stay in Vegas for a short time just to earn fast cash change when she and Cutter fall for each other, but fear of giving up her own dreams and leaving her home behind cause some problems and doubt sets in. As with the other novella, we do get an HEA for this couple as well, but not until there is a break and time for some soul-searching. I really enjoy reading this author's short love stories...they are romantic, steamy as hell and great when you just want a quick read and nothing too deep...just pure guilty pleasure!
**** 4 **** "a couple of hard working girls and the men who love them" stars
I liked both stories, Tempt Me is about an artist that went to NY for her art and after getting in trouble because she's not making enough money to live and support her art she decides to go back to her home town, and just as she is about to go she meets the perfect guy... The story is good, I liked the characters, but I hated that it doesn't really ends... it feels incomplete, and I get it, it's a marketing strategy: read it, love it, and buy the next one, but is something I hate, because I read the book and feel like I just got the first chapters of a book, and not the whole deal.
Set Loose is about a ballerina that suffers an injury that ends her career, full of debts, she decides to go back to her home town, but ends up with a broken car in Vegas where she becomes a stripper to get some money to pay her debts, lucky for her she also meets Cutter. The love story in this one is one I really liked, both characters have issues, but they overcome them to be together.
First book was really good, I enjoyed the chemistry between Ian and Nina. Although for a moment I thought they would've been bored with one another. I felt like they didn't know one another well enough and not because if time reference but because I didn't feel they're conversation got to the ultimate personal level. That was trying the lacking moment. I hope book two is more from a person view.
How could you not love a 2 for 1 FREE book deal?! Especially with great characters like Nina and Ian for the first story. I sat here screaming "No...don't go to Chicago!!" It did seem they got together a little quickly...but any story that's set in my hometown of New York City gets my vote.
As for book 2...wait until you meet Emily and Cutter. Let's just say I'd want to meet him if he was real. It's a cute love story and well worth the nine chapters.
I really enjoyed these two stories. The characters were well developed and very likeable! If you are a stickler for grammar, punctuation and lack of editing please try to get over it and enjoy these two very good short stories! Thank you, Ms. Moran for an enjoyable read!
Fun read strong characters well developed. Interesting storyline that has you rooting for the main characters to find themselves. Recommend this book for anyone who wants a charming love story. Enjoy.
Both of these stories are very good and complete on their own, meaning they don't leave you hanging at all till you get the next book. But they are so good, I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
The first book between Ian and Nina was unexpectedly nice story . The attraction between the artist Nina and the Corporate Lawyer Ian at a farewell party is instant. The flow of this story was sweet and romantic. I am tempted to find the next book which follows it.
I have read and reread it yearly since whenever. I the love characters especially in the Sin City part. The strange things that bring people together appeals to me. Very well written when you want an "awe" moment and a short read.
Two cute, happy, short love stories. I just love happy endings. And even though these are the first of series they didn't end feeling like it's the middle of the story.
