I can’t tell if I like Arlo or not. I kind of understand his meaning behind pushing John over the edge. But it’s also stupid. Sera finally returns! Remi’s adorable, I love her energy. There was a few sprinkles of humor along the way. The duo of Blyke and Isen always have me laughing. And the last few chapters??? Ugh. How unfair to leave it there!

OMG These episodes (46 - 76) are so good! I think I liked it better than book 1! I will continue reading this series on Webtoon ( they are on the 300’s episode!) since there is no announcement yet for more print books! This book brings to surface some of John’s past, his ability, his relationship with Serafina and Arlo, and much more! Episode 76 ends in a cliffhanger, so you have to read the rest on Webtoon. BTW, make sure to check Webtoon if you haven’t done it yet, it is awesome 😎

Arlo gets John to let down his guard just enough to reveal his true abilities...which are on a level even Arlo didn't suspect. As more and more people learn John's secret, he worries about what might happen when Seraphina finally learns that he isn't the Zero he's always pretended to be.

Meanwhile, whoever it is that's targeting people with superpowers seems to be getting bolder.

Meh. I'll probably be stopping the series here. Although I liked the first volume well enough, I had trouble working up the willpower to read this one - part of my issue is that I keep thinking of this series as off-brand My Hero Academia, which I suppose isn't fair since they do different things with the "school of people with superhero powers" premise. But the other issue is that I don't like John. He has trust issues, and I understand why, but I still don't particularly like him, and this volume didn't change that. More the opposite, really.

The mystery of who's targeting people with superpowers is vaguely interesting, and I'm intrigued by the fact that they seem to have ways of cancelling out people's powers, but I've seen similar storylines in works that didn't ask me to put up with an angry MC whose closest friendship is built on lies.

I love the characters and plot line. The art is stunning. Perfect for fans of Marissa Meyer’s Renegades series or of the TV show The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

Aunque, de primeras, parece que la historia se desarrolla de una manera algo más lenta al principio, una vez que entramos en materia, es otro no parar, como su predecesor.

Los secretos de muchos de ellos están saliendo a la luz y, sumado al grupo que está atacando a los que tienen poderes, los chicos no tienen un momento de descanso.

Tenemos varios frentes abiertos. Por un lado, Sera está de vuelta en la casa familiar, algo que no será de su agrado, ya que la relación que tiene con sus padres es complicada.

Por otro lado, el Rey y la Reina están tejiendo sus redes para saber más sobre John, ya que se ha convertido en su punto de mira, aunque algunos de sus compañeros no están muy conformes...

La trama está en un momento verdaderamente interesante y, sumado a lo dinámico y bonito que es el dibujo, acompañado de una edición espectacular por parte de @harpercollinsiberica hace que esté deseando leer el tercero ❤️

I feel like I'm just going to end up copying my prior review, with a very lot of the same comments (except that John stopped gelling his hair, so YESSSSSSS):
- art is good but not AMAZING—definitely attractive in a "generic anime style" way
- the book is WAY easier to read in print than in scrolling format (and I know, because I went to look up something from the first book, which I no longer have due to my "donate everything I've finished reading to free libraries" addiction)
- STILL not sure how the web version's use of a slur for people with disabilities ever got the green light (unless it didn't, which is why it became "zero" in print)
- extremely interested in seeing how it goes, but not enough to keep the physical version around

About the only interesting thing I could add is the store had a VERY LOT of autographed copies of the hardcover, which I decided to leave for readers who specifically wanted them... only to not pay attention and find out later that the paperback copy I got is ALSO autographed! Huh. They just had uru-chan go to town, eh?

(I did get a dinged copy, though, so it's still going in a free library... autograph or no, I'm still not as interested in hanging onto it as I am in giving back to the community!)

I do feel a draw toward John and his insistence on being treated a "zero" while hiding his inner strength, ALMOST enough that I'd actually be interested in going back and re-acquiring the books (even if not autographed) if the series picks up like I think it might. Sure, I could read ahead on the web version, but I already haven't caught up on so many other series on Webtoon that I just don't get any traction. (Also, the whole slur-in-the-webtoon part doesn't make that palatable for me.)

Or, I'll completely forget this exists—out of sight, out of mind. Either, or, I'll support the artist how I can, even if it's not that much.

Love this series! So glad we got to find about about John's ability in this volume.

I love John, and I thought it was an incredible design choice for switching the colorization of his thought and verbal bubbles from white with black writing to black with white writing when he's using his powers. On the one hand, I like that I got to see John being more confident and assertive, but also watching him hit a breaking point, and by the end of this volume it becomes several, I worry for his sanity. The colorization switch symbolizes a lot of things, and I just hope things don't progress to the point where John makes a characterization turn for the worst.

I also like how this story shows different opinions of people with power. Some feel they having and therefore that makes them superior. Others feel like it is a burden and they're too weak to handle having it. Then some see it as a way to keep balance and those who don't use their abilities as cowards. Not saying which character goes to which opinion, but it's very interesting to read and think about all these different ways power is viewed within this world.

I honestly think he's in love with Seraphina, so it was nice to see her character developed more. Not to mention meeting John's dad!

To be honestly, the only problem I had was just that it's been forever since Vol. 1 came out, so a lot of things I was having to go back and re-read to remember what some characters were talking about. Also, there is great world and character building, but in doing so there is a lot of expanding. With at least 7 main characters with multiple and separate storylines for themselves, not to mention this unknown organization trying to track the high-tier kids, it is starting to get a little overwhelming - especially when there's such a big gap between volumes being released. (I'm referring to physical copies, recent episodes can be found on Webtoons. Be aware formatting is a little different when comparing Webtoons format to physical format.)

Don't know if I'll wait for a physical copy of Vol. 3 to be published, or if I'll start slowly reading it on Webtoons. Either way, very interested in where the story goes.

Jeszcze jakiś czas temu, nie podejrzewałabym siebie o taką fascynacją komiksem, opowiadającym o grupie uczniów, obdarzonych supermocami. Być może zachwyciła mnie ta przepiękna, jakże precyzyjna kreska i niesamowita, odurzająca feeria barw, a może to jednak wyjątkowo wnikliwie przedstawiona sytuacja młodych ludzi, borykających się z poważnymi problemami oraz jakże zagmatwaną szkolną rzeczywistością. Tu nie ma superbohaterów, nikt nie lata w obcisłym wdzianku i nie rzuca zabawnych motywujących haseł. Tu nakreślony szary świat jest brutalny, przytłacza równie mocno jak nasz, bo elementy fantastyczne przecież wcale nie muszą oznaczać przekoloryzowanej bajki…

Tom drugi pochłaniałam chyba z jeszcze większymi wypiekami na twarzy, niż miało to sytuację w przypadku jedynki. Smakowałam te piękne rysunki niczym najcenniejszy skarb i nie mogłam przestać się zachwycać precyzją Autorki. Ilustracje są nadzwyczaj szczegółowe, dopieszczone ogromną dawką ekspresji, można mieć wrażenie, że te misternie nakreślone obrazki po prostu żyją. Zastosowana forma i feeria barw nadają pozycji wyjątkowego charakteru, rozbudzają wyobraźnię, pobudzają zmysły, angażują bardzo silnie, przez co skutecznie zachęcają do przeglądania kolejnych stron. Bezsprzecznie, to pozycja absolutnie nieodkładalna, którą pochłoniecie na raz i do której będziecie bardzo często wracać! Ta opowieść bowiem miesza w głowie, pozostawia po sobie niedosyt, ale i mętlik, całkowitą dezorientację przeplatającą się z wyjątkową fascynacją.

„unOrdinary 2” to nieszablonowa, nieprzewidywalna i pomysłowa historia obrazkowa, od której naprawdę niełatwo się oderwać! Ciekawa, niebanalna fabuła, mroczne sekrety, niebezpieczne intrygi, dobrze nakreślone postacie i zaskakujące tło supermocy, które zafunduje naprawdę wiele wrażeń. Bezsprzecznie, Autorce można pogratulować wyjątkowej wyobraźni i pomysłowości. Pozycja godna uwagi, nie tylko dla fanów powieści graficznych!

Ten komiks to jeden z najpopularniejszych komiksów internetowej platformy Webtoon!
„UnOrdinary 2” podobał mi się jeszcze bardziej niż część pierwsza. Akcja gna niczym koń galopujący przez pagórki, nie zwalnia tempa, a nawet mam wrażenie, że ciągle narzuca jeszcze szybsze. To po prostu dobrze się czyta. Ten komiks jest nieodkładalny, gdy otworzycie początek tej historii po prostu przepadniecie. Ogromnie podobają mi się ilustracje i co dziwne, dobrze czasem zobaczyć jak wygląda dany bohater, a nie przeczytać jego opis i sobie go wyobrażać. Takie zmiany też się czasami przydają i naprawdę żałuję, że tak rzadko sięgam po komiksy, to naprawdę fajna sprawa. Jakoś nigdy mnie do nich nie ciągnęło, a szkoda. W każdym razie to piękna opowieść o byciu odmieńcem, o przyjaźni i próbie odnalezienia się w świecie, do którego czujemy, że nie należymy, to historia o poszukiwaniu własnego miejsca. Niesamowicie mnie porwała, aż byłam zdumiona, że komiks może mi się aż tak podobać! Z ogromną przyjemnością sięgnę po część trzecią, Wam także polecam tą świetną rozrywkę, może macie kogoś komu możecie tę książkę podarować. Mnóstwo zwrotów akcji, ciekawi bohaterowie, nieoczywista fabuła i wiele emocji.

Dzięki #współpracareklamowa z @harperya_pl mam przyjemność zrecenzować dla Was drugi tom komiksu autorstwa url-chan. W drugiej części przygód niezwykłych uczniów tajemnica John’a jest pod coraz większym ryzykiem wyjścia na jaw. Jednak sekrety głównego bohatera schodzą na drugi plan, kiedy pojawia się nowe zagrożenie.

Akcja nabiera tempa. Historia John’a coraz bardziej pochłania i uzależnia czytelnika. Uru-chan pięknie rozwija fabułę, uzupełniając ją cudownymi ilustracjami, w mangowym stylu. Drugi tom jest o wiele ciekawszy od pierwszego. Przeczytałam go na jeden raz, w przeciwieństwie do pierwszego. Zachowanie głównego bohatera jest niepokojące. Czasami miałam wrażenie, że w jego głowie siedzą dwie, zaprzeczające sobie osobowości, co pewnie będzie wyjaśnione w przyszłości. Komiks bardzo mi się podobał, oceniam go na 5/5 i żałuję, że dalsze losy bohaterów nie są jeszcze dostępne.

Secrets Secret are no fun - but they sure do cause drama! At the end of book 1, we find out John's secret. And whewwwww the characters in this book. This was intense and full of so much development. Crazy how much I like Arlo now and John is intense. Honestly, I cannot wait to see how this goes. There were a couple of different events that happened in this volume which all led up to an explosive ending. I am really excited to see how this is going to affect the future novels. I'm so glad these webtoons have been turned into these volumes because I am enjoying them so much. The art is beautiful and the story is so engaging. The colors are so vibrant and really add to the story.

This book did it's job, I am entertained but I am so confused! I am usually pretty good at guessing where a book is going, but there is a lot going on in this series. I'm still interested in the series but I feel like it has changed a lot from the lighthearted school rivals that it started as in book one. There is also the issue of waiting until the new book comes out and it makes me want to scream, but I guess I just have to deal with that.

I love superhero and high school vibes.

I love how John character development unroll. He started to transform from within himself, learning about his past and unleash his potential. Arlo is interesting character as well. He is the rule - right or wrong. However, sometimes the official entity with power might not be 'right'. This is how he learnt to understand the world beyond the written rules.

The character developments of this comic are crazzyy!! And it's just so refreshing to have such interesting plot, and strong and complex friendships without the romance overshadowing things!

I'm not sure I like John with powers. I understand he is treated like less than dirt "without" them but, man, he is just like them with them.

I hope Sera's powers come back and it doesn't really end up as a world of zeros. Even though she hated being perfect and read the book, she looked DEVASTATED that her powers were gone. And I hope John is honest with her soon and she understands.

Just like the first volume, the drama and the secrets and the mysteries had me hooked from the beginning. Things start to slowly unfold in this one, but it definitely ends on a cliffhanger for the next one. There's such a strong cast of core characters as well. Maybe not always the most likable, but so fun to read about. Can't wait to see what happens in the next one!

This book was AMAZINGGGG.I loved reading this book.I really find John a bit frightening why is he soo aggressive now.However I really want him to tell the truth to seraphina because it’s kind of annoying that she doesn’t know about him.Arlo is the bully but he still a good character and I his character .Overall found this a great book.Cant wait to read the next book!
