A visit from the fairy godfather has instilled in Cannon Malloy a newfound sense of self-appreciation. Radiating confidence and allure, he's drawn once again to Finn Lorensson's cabin. A night of passion is one thing…a life time of love another. How far will a little glamor go in changing a man's attitude?

Cannon's change of heart couldn't have come at a worse time for Finn. The professor is facing an identity crisis his own. Since compromising his principles, Finn's armor weighs heavy and looks a little tarnished, at least in his own eyes.

How can a knight in dented armor resist dreaming of happily ever after when his frog prince is more charming than ever?

The previous book in this series left me unsatisfied, and this one didn't make me feel the warm and fuzzies either. These men, for their age, experience and professions should behave in a reasonably mature and intelligent way.

They do not.

Instead we have teenagers with manufactured angst, leaving each other, yanking this relationship for no reason whatsoever. In the last book, Connan walked out, in this one Finn stated that he it was his turn to do the walking. Right. Real mature of him -that and other characters interacting in this story that I don't remember and the drama with the student which was created in the first place by Finn, left me cold.

I'm done with this book and this series.

That's it, I'm throwing down the gauntlet now. I've been so very, very patient (for me) waiting on these new installments in the Pulp Friction 2014 series by Laura Harner, Lee Brazil, Havan Fellows, and Tom Webb. I realize I've mentioned stalking them in my reviews for the prior books. But I've been a really good girl. Well, I'm warning you ~ that crap ends now. No more Ms. Nicey-Nice. No more, I tell you. 'Cold Feet' is Lee's third book in this year’s series and revolves around Cannon and Finn. I've spent a good amount of time gnashing my teeth over these two characters. They get close, then Cannon pulls away, then they get close, and Cannon gets spooked. Lee, it's got to stop, you hear me? *big, wide grin*

Poor Cannon. Still struggling with wanting to have (in his mind) the big, gay lifestyle of carefree, easy sex, no complications, and no commitments. He hasn't figured out yet that he's pretty locked on to Finn and not much is going to change that. Well, maybe a visit from his own fairy godfather, and no, I'm not telling who it is. It shouldn't be a stretch to figure out. *grins* Luckily his fairy gets Cannon thinking about what's important in life which leads him back to Finn. And, he'd better stay there this time, Mr. Brazil! At the same time that Cannon is soul searching, Finn is trying to deal with his crazy student who pulled a gun on him in the previous installment. Oh. My. Involving Rob was his best decision and I hope this gets resolved, but somehow I have a feeling this kid will keep coming back.

As I stated, the stalking, the serious, hard-core stalking, commences now. Because, darn it, Lee, you left me on a cliffhanger. How could you? Aargh! As always, I adored this story of Finn and Cannon. I would've liked a little more communication between Cannon and Finn and I'm really hoping to see that in the next book. Until then, keep watch, Mr. Brazil. I might be right behind you.

Cannon is working on being less twitchy in Cold Feet. He's spent the last two months avoiding Finn, but then decides he wants to enjoy what they can.

Finn loves Cannon's change of heart, but he also has his own stuff to deal with. Between his issues with Lassiter and Siggy's legal issues, Finn's hands are full. He doesn't want to turn Cannon away, though, because he has come to care for the twitchy man and, lets face it, Finn is happiest when he has someone to save.

Woohoo!! Cannon and makeup...sounds as though he was pretty hot. Unfortunately for Finn, after his & Cannon's scorcher of a night together, Lassiter comes back to haunt the pair of them and shifts his blackmail demands up a gear. Where do we go from here?? Wait for the next book....love it.

I think this is the last book in the series. Now that Cannon is ready to commit, is Finn?

Finn is tired of being taken down by armed men so he goes to the best man he can think of to train him to be.. what? An assassin? Able to protect himself and the people he loves? When Rowe refuses to teach him how to shoot, academic Finn says he'll just go take a class.
Cannon left his surgical practice, his family, and a would-be lover in Atlanta to come to Arizona. Seeking what? A wildly sexy gay lifestyle, of course. How unfortunate that he met Finn before he could live that free and easy one night stand only lifestyle, because now he's totally and reluctantly focused on Finn. And when... someone... shows him how to be able to look in the mirror and see the man he wants to be, all bets are off and he's ready to go to Finn and beg. Finn's dominant side is more than ready and willing to give Finn what he needs.
This is one sexy read and another cliffhanging episode in the Pulp Friction 2014 collection of series. Just when it seems like Finn and Cannon have got things figured out it turns out both of them are not on the same page and they end up talking. What?? Hurry up, next chapter in the Finn and Cannon story!

Cannon seems to be relaxing, a little. After Park helps him with make up tips he has found some self confidence, is able to see himself as attractive. I finally am able to warm up to him a bit. I know he has PTSD after reading Pulp Friction 2013 but that isn't my problem with him. I can't really name if other than he's a bit of a cold fish.

Finn on the other hand! ARGH!! An obviously troubled student threatens him with a gun, attempts blackmail, stops taking care of himself, appearance and grades needs help. Finn knows the boy is obsessed with another student and has proven to be dangerous. It never crosses Finn's mind or even Robbie's after he meets the boy to report him to the authorities or someone who could help.

I realize this is fiction but there is no way I can suspend my disbelief enough to believe a college professor would know about campus resources to help a student so obviously having a breakdown. Even in Finn's Disney fairy tale fantasies of rescuing Cannon there is away to get Lassiter help without compromising Cannon's reputation.

From my review:

"Of all the interconnected Pulp Friction 2014 series, Lee Brazil's seems the most introspective of the four. With all the others, while the characters are undergoing emotional upheavals and personal problems, they are also being impacted by outside forces and obstacles. But Cannon and Finn are grappling, almost solely, with Cannon's past and its effect on each other and the possibility of a relationship. Cannon Malloy is the fulcrum of In From the Cold….I highly recommend this story and the entire series…"

We’re finally getting somewhere people. No more running for these guys… well, for Cannon anyway. When we see Cannon in this story, he’s finding himself. A new man. And can I just say the make up? Damn sexy. I love Cannon’s new sort of confidence. He’s kind of found himself. And by that, I have a feeling that a lot of his outward confidence is bravado, and that his thought that he can just have sex with Finn and walk away is just him trying to have his cake and eat it too. Is it mean to say that I look forward to his coming to realization?

Finn has found that being a knight on a white horse has cost him some of his self-esteem and his principals. He has decided that maybe he should stay away from Cannon, but then Cannon shows up on his doorstep more alluring than ever. His principles maybe compromised, but he knows one thing, he's in love with Cannon Malloy.

Another great addition to the Pulp Friction franchise. This one is my favorite so far of the 2014 series. I give it some eye shadow full of stars.
