5 stars is not enough for this book & Kennedy Layne, the author!
I cannot express how much I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The writing was absolute perfection. The story flowed with sheer perfection. All the characters were written in such a way as to make you feel they were real. It was thrilling to say the least.
The CSA team has a murder to solve. The clues are all there. A spectacular whodunit wrapped up in mystery, suspense, adult romance and intrigue. You cannot put it down. The story literally weaves around you and leaves you breathless with anticipation.
I am so enamored with this book & the writing of Ms. Kennedy Layne that I have added her to my top 5 favorites. Trust me, as much as I read that is not as easy thing to achieve!! You cannot find a flaw in this book!!

Constant action, intrigue and suspense. Even to the very last word. You just have to keep reading because you literally don't know what is coming next. Not only are Jax & Emily both great characters in the book, but even the 'Bad Guy' keeps you spell bound.
And YES! Hot, steamy, erotic ADULT romance.
I am hooked on this series. I just can't get enough!

Even though I truly enjoy the CSA series, I had trouble with this one. It was the constant repetitive thoughts of Elle, the female lead in the story that gave me so much trouble. To read the same thoughts over & over again was monotonous. One of my pet peeves is when the words in a story seem to be more about the count of them, then the importance they have on a story. I call them 'Filler Words'.
Kevin & Elle were both interesting characters, the romance scenes were steamy. More could have been done on the crime investigation, the personalities of the 'bad guys' and other supporting characters.
I loved the previous books in the series & have already purchased books 4-6. I plan to devour each one of them with pleasure & delight!
That said, I believe this book is more of a 3.5 star's.

The rating above of 3.5 stars is for the 3rd book in the series. I did not find it as interesting as the first 2 books. It got better when it finally came to the climax of the story but the wait was long in getting there. Overall the series is pretty good. The reader should have an interest in the BDSM lifestyle or they may find that a turn off for these stories.

Mystery, mayhem and romance:)
Wow, my first Kennedy Layne volume and I can say with absolute conviction that these books are amazing! I haven't been able to read anything else and have already purchased Vol 2! The stories are interlinked, the characters and background stories are great and a bit of romance with the BDSM lifestyle thrown in! What a way to go, lack of sleep included!

Gripping cases and intrigue
Such well written stories that keep you Turing pages to see what happens with the cases. Each of the three books covers the life of a character and a details of cases.

Apparently I am reading a totally different book than everyone else.
To me it was just same story different names.
It was very poorly written.
There was no connection between the main characters or any built up love.
Just the bdms and that felt weird so skipped those parts.

Eh. Read the Jax and Connor Stories. The only other people on the team I had interest in were Taryn and Crest, and since book 3 was about Kevin I didn’t bother with it.

Different, interesting
The amount of BDSM kink was more than usual. The characters are mostly believable. The continuing storyline is frightening. I hope he is eliminated soon.

No cliff hangers, decent reads.

New take on romantic suspense. In this case, the principals of the Crest Security Agency are all partaking in the BDSM lifestyle. Warning for those if you who may not want to read about that: don't read these books. It is a part of their lives and a part of their stories and finding the women who love them. This box set encompasses three of the members: Connor, Jax and Kevin. They are all former military (a prerequisite for Gavin Crest) and knew each other then.
There is an underlying thread of danger in each story, whether from an assassin or a serial killer. The first story ties directly to the BDSM club Jax and Connor frequent. The second relies on the past of Jax and the woman he loved and lost. This story introduces a killer who has sworn vengeance on Crest and ll his agents. The last story revolves around Masters again, but in a tangential way, regarding the club's manager and the life she led before Kevin meet her. A serial killer has developed a habit of raping and killing prostitutes and Elle, the club's manager, can't resist trying to help get the killer off the streets.
Well written, except for the occasional grammatical error (I've almost given up on complaining about those), but I think I'll continue with the series.

Better than I expected
While I am totally into military romantic suspense, I am not into BDSM. That said, I wasn't sure I would like this series. I grabbed it while it was on a special price and decided to give it a try. I was surprised by how much I liked the characters and how suspenseful the storylines were. In my opinion, the BDSM scenes seemed fairly mild and we'll written between the main couple's although I admit I skimmed over most of it. I totally would have loved the stories without that element and would have likely even rated them higher. Because these stories actually had some depth and weren't written just for the BDSM shock value, I will probably continue the series. I find myself invested in the characters.

Alpha BEST B.D.S.M ........ SCENES EVER. Each yummier than the last...fiesty...fun..and oh so sexy...story lines very different in each. One sick fuck throughout .... Cant wait to see how that plays out......however, great brotherhood having very difficult time decided whom I like better Kennedy Lane or Jordan Silver.....can't wait til Crest and Jesse's story.......

Read book and immediately bought the two sets of books. This is such a great series, had bdsm but it's not just that, the security they preform is sooo intense!! Kennedy has us in with them every cotton pickin way..so tense at times but the bdsm makes you melt like a puddle of sugar. Now on to book 4-6! New author, new series..... Happy reader here!!

I enjoyed these books, however if not for the third book in this box set I would never have given these books 4* and decided to continue with the series.

Read the first instalment and got hooked ..now it's off to books 4-6 , then the novella and book 7 late this year when its released.

I really wanted to like this three book box set, however I just couldn’t get into it and never finished. The writing wasn’t horrible just boring.
