Being kidnapped by bikers is a harrowing experience, but for some reason, Laurie doesn’t feel as terrified as she should.  The leader’s steely eyes soften when he looks at her, and the others in his gang clearly know she’s hands off.  But does that include Steele's hands?  Her brain resists him, but her body insists she wants those big hands all over her.

Steele doesn’t know how he wound up in this mess–with a kidnapped woman on his hands and the police hot on their trail.  Now he and Laurie are in hiding at an isolated cabin, and Steele has to figure out how to extricate himself...and steer clear of his accidental captive whose tight, slinky clubbing attire is making him think all kinds of dangerous thoughts…

3 - "I'm not most people." Stars.

So novella two literally continues where novella 1 left off.

Steele and Laurie are still trying to suss each other out, the motives for her being at the cabin, and Steele's reasoning behind it are still causing more than a few disagreements, as well as more than one escape attempt.

"You're treating me like a child."

"Maybe I should spank your bottom."

The reader is also introduced to more of the Biker Gang, that Steele leads.

Note too self - Before requesting future books/novellas on Netgalley, check out the authors previous work. This novella contains a M/F/M to M/M/F/M scene (and after I belatedly checked out the books more thoroughly on Goodreads, it seems to be the norm for this series). I won't lie the multiple partners trope isn't one that I am a massive fan of, and if I had known it was a part of this series I wouldn't have requested it. My rating hasn't been influenced by this, as it is my fault entirely for not checking beforehand.

On to part 3 (with trepidation!)

Note: Riding Steele is a serialized novel in the Ready to Ride series that is being released in 6 installments, and will also be published in one volume. I am reviewing this serial as one complete piece of work.

Why I Read this Book: First, I have a confession to make: I am not a fan of serials. It feels like a marketing ploy to get more money for what is essentially ONE book and I do not have the patience to wait for the next ‘installment’, especially when being left with cliffhangers. With Riding Steele being the 3rd book in a series, I don’t understand why the decision was made to chop this book up into 6 parts. However, I couldn’t resist reading Riding Steele because it’s an MC Romance and I’m a sucker for those.

What I Liked: I had only requested the first installment, as this is a new-to-me author and I wasn’t sure what to expect being that this is part of a serial, but the writing captured my attention enough for me to quickly request the rest of the installments. Riding Steele has an interesting premise, and I was curious to find out why the bikers would kidnap Laurie, and what would happen with her once they had her in their hold.

There was some interesting backstory with Steele and with Laurie. There’s a sad and unfortunate event that took place in Steele’s life. Laurie is trying to break things off with her overbearing boyfriend. These elements shaped who these characters are.

I really liked and appreciated how each installment started off with the last scene that took place in the preceding installment. While I pretty much read these installments back-to-back, readers who choose to read this serial in installments as they come out will surely appreciate this.

What I Didn’t Like: There was no real hierarchy in the ‘club’ so it didn’t really feel like an actual MC to me. Steele is referred to as the “leader”, not president, and none of the other members had a role in the club. It was just a group of guys, and a woman, who hang out and ride together. Not exactly the type of foundation I look for in a MC romance but I’ll take it. And the way the guys funded their simplistic lifestyle was a bit farfetched. None of the guys had a job, that I recall.

Let’s talk about the sex. I like smut but this was a bit too much for me. Not necessary a bad thing, just not my thing as I prefer one-on-one relationships while Steele doesn’t mind sharing his woman. I hadn’t read either of the other two books in this series, and the blurb didn’t give any hint of how erotic this story is, so I had no idea until about 1/3 of the way into the 2nd installment.

Also, giving someone not one, but two safe words doesn’t sound like a good idea to me. Laurie is not experienced in BDSM, so for Steele to give her two safe words with two different meanings to remember didn’t make sense to me.

And for all the boinking going on, nobody used a condom nor did anyone talk about birth control of any sort. After seeing an orgy take place before her very eyes, I’d have thought Laurie would have insisted on protection. She doesn’t know any of these people, and they’re casually swapping and sharing sexual partners.

Lastly, Laurie and Steele’s relationship was an insta-love, which is not my favorite.

Overall Impression: Riding Steele was a good read though it was a little too bow-chicka-wow-wow for my liking, which I was totally unprepared for as there was NO indication to the level of erotica mentioned in the blurb. But for those who enjoy extremely erotic romance (we’re talking orgies, sharing partners, BDSM elements, and M/M action) and enjoy MC romance, I’d say this is the book for you.

Let’s talk price: If you’re a fan of serials and love the anticipation that comes with them, and don’t mind paying more to be able to read each installment as soon as it comes out ($1.99 for about 35-40 pages, which comes to about $12 for all 6 installments), then I would say to get them as they come out. There were minor cliffhangers at the end of each installment but nothing too extreme that I couldn’t wait a week for the next installment. But if you’re like me and would rather read Riding Steele in its entirety all at once, then wait until the complete novel releases in March 2015 and get it at the discount price of $3.99. [Note: Prices noted were taken from Amazon when this review originally posted on 11/4/2014.]

Riding Steele:Untamed

The Characters

Laurie is making it difficult for me to like her. The fact that she hates herself for recognizing what she needs sexually from a man grates on my nerves. Steele is still pretty much an enigma.

The Story

Laurie and Steele’s inability to communicate effectively with each other is getting on my nerves. I mean can’t all this mistrust be cleared up with a phone call to her brother? Yet has she thought to ask for a phone? Has Steele offered? It’s a bit annoying and it certainly doesn’t have me jumping for the next installment.

The Random Thoughts

That scene at the lake was quite hot.

another fun, engrossing read from Opal.

Would much rather have the single edition than the 6 mini installments, but I read them all back to back anyway so kinda the same thing. after finishing work at midnight determined to get a decent sleep for a relatively early morning, I ended up reading til 3am just to finish them!!

it's hot, sexy, emotional, heroes & villains... everything you love about Opal Carew books!!

Aaaaaaand I'm out! So we got a group of guys all sharing one girl and giving each other handies. I'm all for a good biker book, but this just ain't my cuppa. As with the previous installment I really like the flow and writing style. It all just got a bit too much for my taste in erotica. I am sure many will like it, but I am more of a "one man woman" type of girl. A personal taste the shouldn't detour you as I am sure many will like it.

I would like to thank the Publishers and Netgalley for letting me read this wonderful series of installments.

We get to know a bit more about the bikers and Laurie more. She wants to touch and feel what Raven has, but she is too scared after her slimy ex boyfriend. Will she run or will she learn to stay and listen to what is best for her? Only way to find out is to read the 2nd installment.

The series continues. And let's get straight to the point.

This is chapter 2. And the scenes leading to sex was faster than the bullet train. And yet the heroine by this time is not included in those scenes. Lels!

RIDING STEELE BY OPAL CAREW
6 INSTALMENTS OR 1 BOOK?
HOW CAN PUBLISHERS CHARGE $1.99 FOR 30 PAGES?
HOW CAN THOSE 6 INSTALMENTS, IF PURCHASED SEPARATELY, BE $12 YET IF YOU PURCHASE THE BOOK IN ITS ENTIRETY, THE PRICE IS LESS THAN $9?
I HAVE NO PROBLEM PAYING A HIGHER PRICE FOR A QUALITY BOOK, J R WARD AND SHELLY LAURENSTON FOR EXAMPLE ARE AUTOMATIC ONE CLICKS FOR ME BUT THE LENGTH AND QUALITY I WILL BE GETTING FOR MY DOLLARS MEANS I AM HAPPY TO DO SO. I’VE SAID BEFORE THAT I DISLIKE THIS GROWING TREND FOR SPLITTING BOOKS INTO INSTALMENTS, PERSONALLY I FEEL IT’S JUST A CON TO GET READERS TO PAY EXTRA TO GET THE BOOK EARLIER RATHER THAN WAIT FOR THE PRODUCT IN FULL, CHEAPER BUT LATER AND 30 PAGES IS, IN MY OPINION, NEITHER HERE NOR THERE - A SLIGHT TASTE BUT NOT ENOUGH TO BECOME INVESTED IN THE STORY OR THE CHARACTERS.
AT THE END OF THE FIRST INSTALMENT I WAS JUST FRUSTRATED AS IT FELT LIKE A COUPLE OF CHAPTERS ONLY AND THEN BOOM, THE END. I NEVER PURCHASE BOOKS SOLD LIKE THIS AND HAD THESE NOT BEEN ARCS I WOULD NOT HAVE READ, AS A FULL EBOOK $9 FOR UNDER 200 PAGES IS RIDICULOUS BUT THAT’S JUST ME……
THE REASON I CHOSE TO REVIEW THE ARCS WAS BECAUSE I HAVE READ OPAL CAREW BEFORE AND ENJOYED HER BOOKS, SWING IS AN OLD FAVOURITE. AS A REVIEW IT’S DIFFICULT BECAUSE OF THE SIZE OF THE INSTALMENTS - AS AN OPAL CAREW IT’S NOT A BAD ONE, AS AN MC BOOK IT’S NOT A BAD ONE, AS AN EROTICA IT’S NOT A BAD ONE, BUT IT LACKS THAT SPECIAL SOMETHING, THE X-FACTOR IF YOU LIKE, THAT WOULD MAKE IT A FAVOURITE OR A REREAD.

In the arms of an outlaw, she found the freedom to live out her wildest fantasies. Don’t miss this scorching new six-part mini-series from New York Times bestselling author Opal Carew!

When Laurie is kidnapped by bikers, she has no idea her life is about to change forever. From the moment she meets Steele—their sinfully sexy leader—she can’t deny their fierce attraction. Even though she’s completely at his mercy, his eyes soften when he looks at her, and the others in his gang know she’s strictly hands off. But the more time she spends with Steele, the more her body insists she wants his powerful hands all over her.

Now she’s about to discover a new life on the open road…and what it means to be part of a gang that shares everything. At first their wonton lifestyle shocks her senses—but once she’s had a taste of life on the edge, will she ever want to leave?

Riding Steele #1: Kidnapped
Being kidnapped by bikers is a harrowing experience, but for some reason, Laurie doesn’t feel as terrified as she should. The leader’s steely eyes soften when he looks at her, and the others in his gang clearly know she’s hands off. But does that include Steele's hands? Her brain resists him, but her body insists she wants those big hands all over her.

Steele doesn’t know how he wound up in this mess–with a kidnapped woman on his hands and the police hot on their trail. Now he and Laurie are in hiding at an isolated cabin, and Steele has to figure out how to extricate himself . . . and steer clear of his accidental captive whose tight, slinky clubbing attire is making him think all kinds of dangerous thoughts…

IN THIS FIRST INSTALMENT WE MEET STEELE AND THE REST OF HIS CREW HAVING DRINKS AT A BAR ON HIS BIRTHDAY WHILE KEEPING AN EYE ON LAURIE AS A FAVOUR FOR AN OLD FRIEND. LAURIE IS OUT WITH HER BOYFRIEND DONOVAN WHO SHE IS INTENDING TO BREAK UP WITH. HIS DOMINEERING, CONTROLLING WAYS AREN’T SITTING WELL WITH HER AND THE RECENT ESCALATION IN ROUGH PLAY MEANS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
STEELE VETOES KIDNAPPING HER TO KEEP HER SAFE AND LEAVES THE BAR WITH JUST ONE MEMBER LEFT BEHIND TO WATCH HER. UNFORTUNATELY CIRCUMSTANCES DICTATE THAT LAURIE DOES IN FACT END UP KIDNAPPED AND IN A HOUSE FULL OF BIKERS.
AS A START THIS IS REALLY JUST A SETTING THE SCENE. WE SEE INTERACTION BETWEEN STEELE AND THE MEMBERS, LAURIE COMES ACROSS AS QUITE WEAK IN THIS ONE AND LITTLE TO NO SEXUAL CONTENT.

Riding Steele #2: Untamed
THE STORY CONTINUES WITH LAURIE ATTEMPTING AN ESCAPE THAT RESULTS IN A NICE LITTLE VOYEURISM SCENE AS WELL AS A THREESOME. OPAL CAREW DOES GOOD SEX! A MISTAKEN IDENTITY ISSUE RAMPS UP THE TENSION BETWEEN STEELE AND LAURIE AND SO ANOTHER ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE FOLLOWS.

A DISAPPOINTING OFFERING IN MY OPINION THAT DOESN’T QUITE DELIVER ON ANY LEVEL.
A 3 STAR MAYBE BUT, IN VIEW OF THE PRICING, A 2.5 STAR AT BEST.

A BIT MORE SEX THAN STORY, THOUGH I'M STILL ALONG FOR THE RIDE!

(SERIES MUST BE READ IN ORDER; SEE LIST AT END OF REVIEW)

UNTAMED is the second installment in the RIDING STEELE serial. KIDNAPPED (in the first story of the same name) by Steele and his motorcycle club of heavily muscled and tatted bad boys, Laurie is at their mercy on many levels besides room and board. She witnesses a variety of activities, mainly sexual, that involve the gang and their escapades with Raven (the extremely generous girlfriend of member Rip), who eagerly enjoys sex in the form of one, two and threesomes with all of the men. This installment is more sex than story, and includes M/M sexuality during a sexual foursome, and all forms of intercourse imaginable.

Laurie is intent on escaping, but is frequently distracted by lustful thoughts, given the state of affairs around her, and the voyeuristic opportunities presented to her as she sneaks about in Raven's clothing (and is mistaken for her more than once) during escape efforts.

I have enjoyed many of Miss Carew's other stories, and this one is no exception, though I do feel that the brevity of each installment makes character development a bit brief. In order to buy fully into the intense sexuality of the story, it is most meaningful when a reader is truly invested in the characters, and I'd have enjoyed UNTAMED more if there were a bit more story to go along with the sex. Laurie is either musing over her lustful thoughts about Steele or her surety that the kidnapping serves no purpose since she is doomed to retaliation from Donovan once she returns; we see no evidence of the strong, independent woman she claims to always have been. Laurie does not develop as a character in this portion of the story, and Steele is basically performing the same role throughout the entire narrative...telling Laurie to stop attempting to escape, and handcuffing her to a variety of objects.

The characters do, however, continue to call out to the reader, and I remain very interested in what will come next. I believe that it is the brevity of this chapter of Steele and Laurie's story which is its weakness, and I'm willing to wait for the third installment to return the level of tension and interest which so captivated me in the first (KIDNAPPED). Due to the interest I have in the characters, the strength of the initial storyline, and my expectation that installment three will significantly develop both story and characters, I give UNTAMED four stars rather than three. I'm looking forward to Steele and Laurie's next chapter in COLLIDE.

2. Untamed
3. Collide
4. Wanted -- available 11/18/14
5. Crossroads -- available 11/25/14

Review:

Normally I don't write installments in a series as a combined review, but these are really hard to write a decent review when each is only 35 pages. These two parts of the story are being released at the same time and takes us through Laurie being watched by the bikers as a favor to Laurie's brother. Once they see that Laurie is about to be abused and kidnapped by her supposed boyfriend, they step in a kidnap her to protect her, though she does not know that her brother asked them to watch out for her. Since she does not know who these guys are or trust what they say, she tries to escape at every turn.

I really think that these two parts could have been combined into one part, instead of being separate since they are both being released on the same day, seems like a ploy to make more money by the publisher to me though. I found this way of doing it is too choppy and I am having a hard time connecting to the characters. I enjoy the Authors writing style and have read other stories by her and will continue to read her some more. Those who enjoy very basic M/F, this is not for you there is some hot combinations going on in these two installments.

Will be interested to see how this works out not just for the story but for the publisher too.

3Stars for both installments

Hotness Rating 5 out of 5

Riding Steele is the 3rd book of the Ready to Ride series by Opal Carew. It is also split up in a six part installment. I will review each installment individually, but give an overall view of the book, as well. If you read the first installment and have never read an Opal Carew book before this installment may very well make you gasp. Expect your Kindle or e-reader to smoke. Expect group sex and steaming hot, alpha males that have no problem sharing. I also must advise that each of these installments are very short stories, but you will be hooked from the very first chapter. I couldn't read it fast enough.

Riding Steele: Untamed is the second part of the Riding Steele book and gives us more insight into the members of the MC that kidnapped Laurie and their individual personalities.

In this part, Laurie is still scared for her safety thinking she escaped a potentially horrible situation with her boyfriend to only find herself in a more dangerous spot. Although, she does admit that she's been treated as nothing short of a welcomed guest. Well, except the handcuffing and such, but that's to keep her from running away. She just doesn't trust that things aren't going to change to bad really quick. She will stop at nothing to make her escape, break up with Donovan, and get back to her life.

Steele has gone to great lengths to make Laurie feel safe, but he knows that she's always looking for a chance to escape. It's all adding to his stress. First, he is constantly battling his attraction to her and now he's having to hold her against her will for her own good.

**This review will contain spoilers for Riding Steele #1: Kidnapped – please beware**

Untamed is book two in the Riding Steele serial series. I have to admit this is where the heat picks up. Laurie tries to use her head over what her body wants, but she soon realises that it’s hard to resist a hot dominant biker.

Laurie is determined to escape, she doesn’t want to be held against her will with a bunch of bikers. Even though Donovan will be looking for her, Laurie wants her freedom and doesn’t realise she would be safer with Steele than on her own.

Steele is trying to convince Laurie he won’t hurt her, he won’t force her to do anything she doesn’t want to do, but Laurie’s traumatic few months has done a real number on her.

Laurie meets the rest of the crew and Raven is the only other woman around. When she has a chance, Laurie makes a run for it and ends up hiding in some trees. Raven is swimming and two guys sneak up on her, Laurie is torn, does she help Raven or keep running?

Doing the right thing, Laurie runs smack into Steele and tells him Raven is in trouble. They sneak up and watch what’s happening in the lake, but Steele isn’t stopping them, he’s just watching. Why won’t Steele help Raven? Will Laurie give in to her growing needs? Will Steele prove he isn’t the ogre Laurie thinks he is?

Follow this next instalment to get more insight into what makes Steele tick and if Laurie gives into temptation. Another great intense read by Opal Carew and I recommend this series to all adult readers wanting hot bikers, stimulating intrigue and heart pumping scorching hot scenes.

Riding Steele: Untamed by Opal Carew is the second part of her new six-part serial Riding Steele. Riding Steele will be released as a full length novel in early 2015 as book 3 in her Ready To Ride series.

Untamed picks up immediately where Kidnapped left off. Laurie is just heading out of the room, minding her own business and gets dragged into another room and finds herself being thoroughly kissed. LOL. Mistaken identity, Rip thought she was Raven.

Things really start to spice up in this installment and there is a wickedly panty-melting scene that happens down at the lake. Prepare yourself, it's HOT.

Laurie keeps preparing herself for abuse froom her "captors" and they keep showing her time and again that they truly just want to keep her safe. She takes her fate in her own hands though and manages to make a break for it, but when you're in the middle of nowhere how successful can your escape attempt be when you're on foot

He sighed and stepped away from the bed. "I wish you'd believe me that we're trying to help you."
Now that his big, intimidating body had moved away from the bed, she sat up, frowning.
"Most people don't go this far out of their way to help someone else."
His gaze caught hers. "I'm not most people."

Oh my word! Now THAT was the sensual stimulation I’ve come to expect from Ms. Carew. This installment in the Riding Steele serial definitely left me panting. During one of several escape attempts, Laurie stumbles upon Raven being threatened by two unknown bikers. After her experience with Donovan, she can’t leave the woman at the mercy of two men no matter how badly she wants to escape. So against her “flight” instinct, she runs back to get help for Raven and encounters Steele. Laurie’s opinion of Steele takes a major nosedive when he chooses to watch the scene unfold rather than protect Raven. However, Laurie quickly realizes that Raven knows the two bikers and it’s not an attempted rape, and she finds herself unable to look away from the threesome. Despite her arousal, she refuses to allow her body to dictate her actions and tells Steele “no” when he propositions her.

No matter how aroused he is, Steele will not force himself on an unwilling woman – especially one he has come to suspect has been abused. But he also refuses to ignore his needs, so he handcuffs Laurie to a tree where she has a front-row seat to an unbelievably hot foursome. Good grief I needed a cold shower after that scene – m/f, m/f/m, and even some m/m action … yummy! These guys are the definition of Untamed. And while Laurie perseveres with her escape attempts, we have to wait for the next installment – Collide – to find out whether or not she was successful.

Where to start.

I'm going to review the entire serial in this one review because each installment is so short it would be impossible to give any sort of impression about the individual volumes.

Overall I'm going to be giving the serial 3 stars ... there is a lot of potential here, but everything was so rushed and just when it felt like the author was going to start developing into more she pulled back and moved along. I enjoy reading a serial because they are fast paced and quick, but this one had way too much happening for each volume to be so short.

It's really a shame because i think had Ms Carew taken more time and expanded certain scenes this could have been an amazing MC series. I loved all of Steele and his crew ... Laurie was a typical damsel in distress fighting against the people who were trying to 'save' her, but I think had there been more development I could have really loved her character too.

There are a few smutty scenes throughout the different volumes.... they are short and dirty.

All in all I would happily read another book by this author, but I will likely either avoid serials OR wait until the full serial is released before reading.

Can she trust them they say that it’s for his own good but she wants out.

Laurie wants out she wants to be free. But free out in the woods can bring pleasure that she had never thought of. Laurie doesn’t know if these bikers want ransom but her brother doesn’t have any money but Donavon does have it. Steele is trying to make her understand that they are not after money. While she is out in the woods she believes that Raven is in danger but she has not idea that she belongs to Rip but there is an understanding between the bikers. She is with two new bikers that were not in the cabin and before you know it Steele is joining them. Laurie is so turned on seeing them all together. But then things go wrong when Steele leaves Dom and Magic to take care of Laurie.

Untamed is the continuation of Riding Steele and oh my was this one HOT. I do have to warn readers that there is voyeurism and there is also Male/Male/Male/Female action. If you are not a big fan of this I can’t blame you I wasn’t either but I was able to move on. I truly enjoyed this read and I have to say that you will need something nice and cool right next to you. I truly enjoyed this read and can’t wait to see what happens to Laurie I really really hope she doesn’t regret leaving the safety of Steele’s bed.

It's was an okay read. I do have to make one thing clear though, and that it's more of a serial romance than an actual series. This one continues right where the first novella left off after Laurie was kinda kidnapped by a protective biker and ends up back at their hideaway where things start to heat up.

There was a lot of miscommunication going on. Laurie kept trying to escape because she had trouble trusting Steele and his crew. Based on what she's went through with her abusive boyfriend than I could easily see how she would doubt everyone. Anyway, Steele was determined to protect her so he kept bringing her back. That's pretty much all that happened in this one. Hopefully something else will open up in the next book.

First of all let me just say that while the menage aspect didn't exactly appeal to my romantic nature, I still enjoyed the book just the same. I can't say that it took me by surprise either, there were some references in the first novella that clued me in (ie. Rip and Raven).

Plotwise, it was a good read. It was a well put together story that I enjoyed a lot.

This part of the 6 part story line is filled with Laurie trying at every chance to escape. She doesn’t believe Steele when he says they won’t hurt her but they won’t let her go either for her own safety. Their afraid of what Donovan would do to her because of Wild Card defending her and taking her away from him.
There is all kinds of sex going on in this section of the story line. Raven the only woman in the MC and Rip’s “old lady” that he shares with the other members in the club by the way. There are woman/man sex & men/men sex. When Wild Card took her it’s not like he took extra clothes with her. She came in the skimpy dress that Donovan gave her so Raven lent her some clothes. So, everyone kept mistaking her from the back or at night they could tell Laurie from Raven so you can imagine the greetings. So, makes she makes another attempt to escape.
I give this book 4 stars. Still not happy this book is parted up into 6 books at on the average of 35 pages each and costing right now $1.99ea. Provided by Net Galley.

Please note that this is a serial - so it must be read in order otherwise you won't get the complete story:
At the end of Book #1 Kidnapped , we read as Laurie had discovered that she had been taken to Steele's cabin where his motorcycle gang have all holed up. Since they did just kidnap her, they kind of have crossed the line of criminals so they must ensure that she doesn't run away. In this book #2 Untamed , I will warn you that it is quite a sexual filled serial and you will read up on all their adventures as sexual deviants. Also if you are not one for m/m sex and multiple sex orgies and reading about others watching while people participate in sex then this is not the book for you. At first I was fine reading it but then since I am not normally one for liking to read about m/m I found it a tad uncomfortable and kind of skimmed over that part. I do hope Laurie will get with Steele eventually as he seems like an alright kind of guy. At the end of this book, readers will hold their breaths as Laurie manages to get away and is spotted by a police car.
Has it captured your interest yet ? If so, then check out the 6 part Serial - Riding Steele by Opal Carew.

Well this review is for the second instalment of Ms Carews new serialisation featuring bikers who have taken in a young woman with an abusive boyfriend . Laurie still has no trust for these guys and feels the need to escape but Steele and the rest of his gang are not going to stand idly by and let that happen. Whilst Laurie realises the bikers do not seem to want to hurt her she is determined to get away and at times seems to develop almost Houdini like abilities! Not only that but there's a strong sense of mistaken identity that to this reader felt a little overused in this very short read. Having said that this story moves along very quickly and in this instalment the author explores ménage biker style and it's a scene that raises the temperature for both the heroine and those involved. You have been warned!
This is such a well written piece considering just how short it actually is and the fast pace engages the readers attention. This is most definitely not like any biker romance that I have read previously and I'm very curious to see just what these characters get up to next .

I'm a fan of Opal Carew's and I like the steam that she puts into a read. At the same time she writes a story that draws you in and creates characters that you fall for and want to see get their HEA! I am not a huge fan of the serialized approach to a story - I would rather read it all at one time - but I knew this going into this read so I will not count off for something that is a personal preference.

Laurie is scared and skittish from a relationship that started good and turned very very wrong... Steele is a tough tattooed motorcycle guy that came into her world via her protective and concerned brother... The resulting story is HOT and sweet and real in the sense that any smart woman would be leery to fall again, but man oh man who can resist Steele and the men who follow him?? Even though the characters were introduced in a previous story this read is a standalone and you will not be lost if you haven't read the first 2 books of the Ready to Ride series.

3 Erotic Fantasy Stars

Riding Steele: Untamed picks up directly where the cliffhanger dropped us in book one. Our heroine, Laurie, remains conflicted by her apparent kidnappers. However, in book two those conflicted feelings are becoming muddled by the erotic fantasies her captors live out daily. These fantasies leave both Steele and Laurie carnal in each others presence; one trying to escape, the other trying to protect. The erotica intrigued me greatly in this book. We got hints of it in book one but witnessed the depth of the fantasies here. I want to Laurie will submit to erotic desire. These books are so short and the writing so fluid it takes no time at all to get through them. Prepare for cliffhangers though - if you don't want to wait the week or so between releases I wouldn't recommend starting until all books are released.

Things heat up by several delectable degrees for Laurie and the gang. While a very out of sorts Laurie is trying to find a way out of her 'woodland hideaway', lone biker chick, Raven and the boys of the crew are having more than a little fun 'getting back to nature'.

This second installment of the Riding Steele series made good on the sensuality promise in very surprising ways.

Seeing the entire club blissfully engaging in consensual love play is one thing, but when you add in the element of male on male play!

Wow...oh yes! More please!

Add to this the eye opening effect that seeing such things has on Laurie, slowly but surely breaking down her sensual defenses, and getting her to come to terms with her fears and desires regarding domination...

And you have great reading!

Untamed picks up where Kidnapped leaves off and oh boy does Opal go there. I do not recall reading a biker type book that involves such easy going multi partner sex. I thought it was hot, but sort of caught me off guard. In this book we meet a few more members of Steele's crew and they are not afraid to share with one another. Steele is trying to hold back his strong urges to make Laurie his. But he just cannot seem to get her to trust him. Laurie is trying her best to be strong and is constantly trying to think of and find ways to escape. What she doesn't realize is that they are there to protect her and once she knows this, she still does not seem to really care that her life is in danger from her ex.

Riding Steele: Untamed is the second episode in the Riding Steele motorcycle club/romance serial series. It is well written and edited.

The heroine, Laurie, is being held in a rural cabin by the Hero, Steele. She still believes that he and his club are a danger to her, so she tries to escape. In fact, she tries to escape more than once with the same result each time.

There is a sex scene in this episode that comes at the reader without a lead in and it is extremely graphic. There is a fine line between erotica and pornography and, unfortunately, this was without a doubt porn. I ended up skipping over the entire sex scene.

I'm hoping that future episodes add more to the story than this one.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Okay, I am really torn right now. I get that Laurie has been kidnapped and she's scared out of her mind, but nothing that the guys have done has been that bad. While I'm not entirely sure what they're about other than all having sex with each other, it's clear that they aren't going to hurt her. I also am confused by her response to them. She's turned on by them, but is terrified and instead of trying to talk to them or act on it, she can only think about getting away, which, when you think of her going back to Donovan is not a smart idea. I hope she wisens up...although if she's expected to bed them all, maybe she shouldn't? I don't know...I feel as confused as her...
