What's it about? A love story that begins during the summer before senior year in high school and continues five years later after the young lovers separate in College.

What went wrong? I really wanted to like this one. It's why I bought this edition because it includes all three books together (After Tuesday; Forgotten Yesterday; and Remembering Tomorrow).
But I couldn't get into it.
The weird inner monologue from the heroine was annoying and the two young lovers were just a bit too sweet together it was just a bit OTT. I know some huge conflict is coming (because lets face it this is a 622 page book), so the sweetness isn't likely to last, and the heroine's back story is really interesting, promising much drama ahead, but I think I'm about half way through the first book and I'm finding it hard to care.
Maybe another time.

5 beautiful heartwarming stars

The first time I came across one of Renee ericson's books I was looking for something on you tube and I spotted a book trailer in my search so never one to pass up a good book trailer I immediately watched the video, that video was the trailer for after Tuesday and I couldn't one click that book fast enough. After Tuesday is one of the most beautiful books I think I've ever read,I was in awe of our heroin ruby,Renee has created one of my favorite book characters in ruby don't get me wrong ruby was far from perfect but the strength that girl showed just amazed me at times. At the beginning Ruby keeps to herself she's quite closed off due to the fact she doesn't let to get close to people, when you read the book you will understand why but slowly with the help of Brent she learns to come out of that shell,I loved ruby and brents story it reminded me of my first crush, first love and those times when you had butterflys in your stomach just being next to that special person, those first touches and that first kiss.don't get me wrong ruby and brent's journey in after Tuesday is far from easy but it's there journey and what a beautiful one it is.
Part two of these days is forgotten yesterday it's a little novella it takes place 5 years later this was a lot more new adult that YA and more real life it just shows how the most perfect of relationship can struggle and shatter
Part three of these days is deciding tomorrow and the conclusion to ruby and brents story and probably my favourite book out of the three, now this book was New Adult!! Damn this book was hot!!

These days by Renee Ericson is easily one of my all time favorite books, with her amazing characters and flawless writing she has written an amazing book that will stay with me for a long, long time

Wow , just wow , I cannot say enough about this series. I first read After Tuesday awhile back , maybe last year , I cannot recall when but all I know is that the story stayed with me and I was happy to know there would be more. Then I started blogging and was unable to find time to read anything for myself outside of my blog reviews. Soooooooo this coming through my e-mail with all the stories together was like heaven sent !!

As a whole there is just so much raw and real emotion in this series. It is so easy to connect with these characters right from the start. I loved both Brent and Ruby so much I don't think I was ever able to be anything but what they were feeling as I read. They touched me deeply with their emotions and struggles. Being able to read these stories one after the other was awesome and I would do it over and over again. I cannot wait to see the author again at my next signing !! She has created a serious fangirl....

After Tuesday-

My original review for this was a 5 star but LOL was a pre-blogger review so to spruce it up a bit I did re-read and fall in love all over again with Ruby and Brent. This story is so full of innocence yet the struggles in Ruby's life with her father , uncle and cousin are just almost too much to handle. But Ruby battles through it all. I loved the innocence of her and Brent meeting at camp and forming this amazing bond of friendship and young love. Because of the real life situations being presented in this story it was so easy to connect on a different level with Ruby. You can feel her joy and pain. You want to help her and guide her through her struggles. In the end you seem to have this little piece of a happily ever after set up all nice and wrapped in a bow. I couldn't wait to continue on with Ruby and Brent's story.

Forgotten Yesterday -

So the title had me freaked out and rightfully so. I really didn't expect this. LOL !! I was very heartbroken but life goes on and we all have to move on !! This story was almost like a day in the life , we get Ruby in her day to day present life , 5 years later back in Chicago , back in college and working at a bar/pub. A vague mention of the past will come up and it is followed by either a dream/nightmare or actual chapter from the past. Slowly piecing together the last 5 years , or better yet the 1st year of college for Ruby and Brent. This is a pretty painful story. I was so in tune with Ruby I had a hard time reading this without sobbing. This is all about second chances and fate. It is amazing to be there as Ruby and Brent reunite and figure out how they can move on together from where they ended up. Brent is an extremely successful soccer player and he has gone off and done exactly what Ruby had pushed him to. But is he really happy ? Has Ruby really been happy all these years ? Will it be worth it to struggle to make their vastly different schedules fit together or are they really not meant to be like other things in their pasts ?

Deciding Tomorrow -

As if the emotions weren't running high enough , the writing in this story really pulls you in and I could feel the words they were using to describe their emotions and moments in their interactions. It was crazy , especially because I was sitting in the grocery store parking lot unable to put it down and do my actual errands. I cannot say enough how much I was connected to Ruby and Brent. Again they are not at all innocent but yet they have such an honest innocence to them despite all their struggles. This story was their road back to one another , proving to themselves and one another that they could put in work and not run and really make the effort to have a successful relationship. It was a long road in a short amount of time. Some family making it easy and others making it hard by bringing secrets to life. In the end it could not get any better !! I loved getting a little bit of Brent's POV , OMG how much I love him !! The best book boyfriend ever , the guy really can do no wrong !! Sadly it seems their story is over , I will definitely be a fan of this author and read anything she puts out there !!

After Tuesday reads like a diary in Ruby's life, revealing her innermost thoughts, desires, and feelings. Ruby is 17 in a new town, where she and her father moved after her mother died. Her father is an alcoholic, and spends time with the neighbors partying instead of being the father that Ruby needs. We meet Ruby at her job as a camp counselor, where she meets Brent, the popular guy at her school.

After Tuesday deals with Ruby's relationship between her father and her first love Brent and how each relationship affects the other in her life. Ruby deals with her fathers addiction with heartfelt emotions that a lot of people feel when someone they love is struggling with an addiction- anger, sorrow, pain, and embarrassment. Brent is her first love and the experiences she has dealing with her first real relationship made me identify with her as I remembered what it felt like to be her age and deal withthose butterfly feelings of the first hand hold, hug, and ultimately the first kiss.

After Tuesday is a great YA novel, and I usually don't read them but Renee has a way of drawing you into the story and if you are my age, to bring back those memories of your first crush to first love in high school. I thoroughly enjoyed After Tuesday and would recommend this book, as a bit of nostalgia for us to remember those younger days. even if its not your usual genre, I think you would enjoy reading After Tuesday the first book in the series of Ruby and Brent.

Forgotten Yesterday is the second book in the trilogy of Ruby and Brents story. It starts off with Ruby and Brent going off to college and Ruby thinking her life is finally on track towards her goals, and having the love of her life by her side. But life intervenes, and for some unkown reason in the beginning Ruby and Brent break up and go their separate ways.

Five years pass by before Ruby and Brent meet again by happenstance. They reconnect and at this point the books goes between past and present. With the past pov we see what drove them apart and the feelings surrounding them. The present deals with them reconnecting and trying to put those past issues to rest as they forge ahead into friendship and a newfound relationship.

Intense emotions are displayed throughout the entire book. You really get a feel of Ruby and Brent and the trials and tribulations that drove them apart, but allow them to come back together. I cannot wait for the last book to see if their love endures all and they get their HEA or not.

Deciding Tomorrow is the final book in Ruby and Brents story. It began with After Tuesday, where they first fell in love, in this YA novel. Renee did a superb job of then bridging into a NA novel in Forgotten Yesterday, where we find Ruby and Brent five years after college where they went their seprate ways and ended up reconnecting and finding that they still loved each other.

In this final book, this is where Brent shines. The first two books were told from Rubys POV, but this is Brents story of how he redeems himself to Ruby. He is working hard at reassuring Ruby that he is the one and only for her, even through all the obstacles they have been through, and that he will continue to be there for her always, not letting her go this time. I fell in love with brent in this story and how hard he wanted the relationship and his love to be proven to Ruby. He redeems himself in my eyes, and I fall even hardxer for him wishing I had a Brent of my own. He also allows Ruby to heal and grow in her own way and time, further enduring me to him.

I loved this book and the banter between them and the growing that they did themselves and together as a couple. I loved the friendship, and their intense love and passion they had for one another. This is a great HEA to this series. The journey from beginning to end is epic and not to be missed. It was honest, raw, beautiful, and amazing. This is a story of love, loss, redemption, forgiveness and ultimately healing. This is a must read series.

I read this whole box set in 2 days. I feel like I have grown with Ruby and Brent in each book there more grown up and settled in the lives but always looking for more. Once there reunited what was missing is right in front of them. There not turning back only to remember memories and make new ones.

"Love is Patient, impractical, and sometimes hard."-Ruby

In book one we see them meet and grow as a young couple looking forward to the future. But as the same time dealing with family and friends issues

In book two we see Ruby fours years later but no longer with Brent. But in this books she has flash backs to show what has happened in the last 4 years. She also runs back into Brent thinking she never see him again but this time around will she let him slip thru her fingers.

In book 3 we see them working on a future and working out the past but in this box set we see a start of a young couple. But in the end we left complete with a full story. Renee gives them a HEA that works for them but she also gives us more to the story. She lets us see into Ruby and Brent lives after HEA.

I cannot express how much I loved this trilogy! But, I’ll try.

These Days is the combination of the books, After Tuesday (Book 1), Forgotten Yesterday (Book 2), and Deciding Tomorrow (Book 3). IT follows the story of Ruby and Brent from high school on into adulthood.

Ruby’s home life is a mess. Her father has completely checked out, choosing to give in to his alcoholism, leaving Ruby to be the adult at 17. Brent is the golden boy in high school. He’s the soccer star, dating the most popular girl in school, and gorgeous.

To Ruby’s shock, when Brent is suddenly available, he notices Ruby and decides she is special and begins to pursue her. Ruby is hesitant at first but eventually, Brent proves to her that his intentions are real and he is worth taking a chance on.

Their relationship seems like a dream, and they are surrounded by a bubble of new love. But no bubble can last forever and circumstances burst the fragile wall they’ve built.
Ruby and Brent find their love tested and are forced to decide whether their love is worth fighting for.

The first book could easily be read as a standalone.

It’s difficult for me to go into much detail on the 2nd and 3rd book without spoilers. So please don’t read on if you don’t want to be exposed to them. I will however, do my best to avoid them, for the most part.

Ruby and Brent have found their happily ever after. They are out on their own, embarking on the adventure of college and adulthood, together. Once again, they’ve enshrouded themselves in a blanket of love, putting their faith in the idea that love conquers all. They are happy and looking to the future. Until one day, tragedy drives a wedge between them. They are faced with circumstances that neither has the solution to.

Fast forward 5 years. Brent and Ruby’s lives have taken different directions and they have cut ties with each other. But, fate had another idea. By sheer happenstance, Brent and Ruby cross paths again.

They are given the chance to reevaluate their choices and decide if they should give it one more shot.

The 2nd and 3rd books in the trilogy follow the story of what broke them apart and the journey of trying to find the glue that will seal them together for good.

The characters in this book drew such emotion from me. There is usually a moment in books when I get really annoyed with the main characters. I love them anyway, but they drive me a little crazy. This moment was almost unrecognizable to me in this book. Brent makes an assumption and does not wait for explanation before passing judgment and it really ticked me off, for about 2 minutes. Then he made it up to me in decks of spades.
One of my favorite things about this book is the complete devotion Brent has to Ruby. Even at the worst moments of their lives he wants to be there for her, but circumstances aren’t in his favor. When they reconnect, they both throw caution to the wind and decide to put everything into working it out. So many times in book, there is always angst and withholding from one party in the relationship until it is resolved at the last moment. I loved the choices that Renee Ericson made. Their devotion to each other is solid, its life that is throwing a wrench in their relationship, rather than the ignorance of one or the other. Their connection helped to keep my heart from completely breaking when circumstances make the future murky and unclear.

Brent and Ruby are wonderful characters. I loved every minute of their story!

These Days is one of the most wonderful trilogies I have read. Renee Erikson has taken the dream time fairy tale and brought to the present day and made it all feel so real.

These Days consist of Renee's three books, After Tuesday, Forgotten Yesterday and Deciding Tomorrow, the love story of Ruby Miller and Brent Cornwell.

In After Tuesday we meet the young couple both in their final year of high school. Ruby has had to fend for herself and because of her circumstances she want let anyone in, she has trust issues and has harden herself so that she can't be let down by anyone. Brent the high school football star has noticed her and right from the first day he meets her he is in love and slowly chips away at the walls Ruby has placed around her heart.

It's not all chocolate and rainbow and they do have hurdles to jump but by the end you know that love can concur all.

In Forgotten Yesterday, we find ourselves four years later and no Brent in sight. As you read Ruby's story you start to wonder what has happened. This book goes from the present to the past so you soon piece together the heartache and loss and really hope, just maybe Brent will appear and bring light back into Ruby's life. Just as you loss hope he appears and you know he has never stopped loving her.

In this book you can see how tragedy and loss can make someone push those they love away, you feel the loss, you feel the heartache and the love that transpires, just like in real life if you want something badly enough you fight to hold onto it and never let go.

In Deciding Tomorrow you will find yourself jumping for joy because they are together happy in love. But they both have commitments and have to rely on a long distant relationship.
Ruby finds this hard, but Brent is her rock. It all falls into place and she know that she is his world.

These Days is a series that you will keep in your library to read over and over again. It has just left me totally believing in true love, that unconditional love can exist. That you can find that one person who is home to you, that nothing else and no one else matters. I'm a believe and we all need that happy ever after.

Renee has made me believe and she will make you believe too. You will find the support characters to be wonderful and they really do shine through out these books.

You will ride the roller coaster of emotions, I laughed and cried, through out. Tissue will become your closes friend.

I gave this 5 stars and truly recommend These Days to those who love great romances.

This is the first series that I have read by Renee' and I know that it isn't going to be the last. I love Ruby and I love Brent! They go through hard times like any couple does they lose touch, find each other again, and then have to figure out what happens now.

This is all three books in one big one. You don't have to wait for the next to come out, because it is already here. You can continue the love story. If you haven't read and of Renee's work, you need to. Start with this book right here!!! You will not regret it at all!!

I was given an ARC by the author for an honest review.

4.5 out of 5 stars!

I would definately recommend this book. I took off half a star because at times the pacing seems slow. I only mention it because if you give up early you'll miss out on one of the most real and beautiful love stories I've read in a long time.

I love how the story starts in youth and moves forward to adulthood. The couple goes through so much over the course of six years. I loved it because they endure their ups and downs while continuing to find their way back to each other.

The ending is beautiful, perfect, and still real. Very good job Ms. Ericson!

Imaginative Dreams Review:

I CANNOT express how easily I fell in love with this series. I have been looking all over for a book or series that looks at the hardships of relationships instead of focusing on all the more 'intimate' parts as I will call them. I finally found it with this series. This series is one that I could not put down from beginning to end. I loved loved loved it!

This is a reread for me and I can honestly say that the entire story of Brent and Ruby's long-term love affair still holds up all these years later. I found myself sighing loudly as I got to experience once more their first love as teenagers and their second chance at romance as young adults. The bond they have is unmatched and all the angst, the turmoil and the hurt they endured only made them stronger. I fell hard for Brent and Ruby all over again and how, despite all the stops, starts and detours, that they were simply meant to be.

The These Days Series is a great love story that had me up in my feels for a 3rd time and honestly, as a reader, you can't ask for much better than that.

Awesome Trilogy worth reading

After Tuesday
This is a love story where a guy falls in love with a girl from the wrong side of town. But none of that matters because Brent is in love with Ruby. This heart wrenching love story will pull you in & wanting more.

Forgotten Yesterday
This takes place 5 years after the 1st book & brings you through what has happened up until they meet unexpectedly again. After everything that has happened they still love each other & you get to see how it all happened. You will laugh, cry & be hoping for them to be together.

Deciding Tomorrow
This book is about true love, overcoming the past & not letting it ruin your future. This one was my favorite & I loved the way it ended.
