I wish I could make this part more interesting for you. I would love to say that I am a highly decorated author with loads of accolades to my name. I wish it were so...but unfortunately, it is not true...Yet. I am holding out hope that this will change soon.

In reality, I am just a regular person. I have been working at one job or another since I was sixteen. I am not ashamed to say that is thirty years of 9 to 5 and sometimes 6 to 6. Whatever it took to get the job done. Then about a year ago, I was teaching technology at the grade school level when my teenage daughter self-published a book. I was fascinated with the process. Empowered by seeing her dream come true, I decided to give it a try. I am a huge fan of Romance novels and had even tried writing in the past but had no idea where to go with my ideas. With my daughter's encouragement, I finally got my first book ready and self-published.

Did the whole process change me? Not really. I still get up and put my pants on one leg at a time. I still work hard and take what life hands me. The only difference now is that I have a deeper appreciation for all the hard work self-publishing takes. Being in front of the computer, writing my stories, is still my escape. I hope in some small way, that my stories are entertaining and an escape for the reader as well.

There is a link on my website at http://www.stormymcknight.com/ if you want to send me your thoughts, or sign up to be on the mailing list for release updates and events. If you have any questions be sure to post them below. I am happy to give out interesting little "spoilers", just nothing too revealing.

I want to thank you for taking the time to read my author bio. I hope that if you liked my stories that you can leave a kind review.

Sincerely Yours...Stormy

An enjoyable 3 stars

Again a nice easy quick read. I liked both main characters and liked the history of the "aliens".

Would be interested in reading more in the series in the future.

However, I do wish the author had NOT decided to write the dialogue of the Scottish character in the book in the Scottish brogue, since it was actually difficult to understand what he was meant to be saying at times - and I say this as someone who lived close to Scotland and has a fair few Scottish Relatives!

Enjoyable Sci-fi story. Not perfect editing, but if that isn't one of your hot-button issues, it's an enjoyable story.

Amber is a 46 year old woman fresh off a divorce and is taking a celebratory post-divorce vacation in Scotland. It's December and she's heavily bundled up against the cold.
She slips on ice and falls down a hill landing on a transport pad.

She is transported to a different place. While wandering around trying to find her bearings - she trips an alien cage-bubble getting captured. An ant-looking alien rounds her up along with an assortment of other strange animals.
(Meanwhile Amber is still wearing a fur coat, scarves and bundled up against the cold, but now she is dirty from her fall.)

Some human looking aliens come to do business with the ant aliens and end up taking Amber and other caged animals to their planet via another transport-pad.
They treat her like a monkey/primate instead of another higher-intelligence being.
When they try to put a collar on her, she fights back and gets injured.

They put her in their healing-machine where she is turned into her "best self". Thinner, longer hair, perkier breasts etc...and she can suddenly understand what they are saying.

It turns out that this planet is entirely populated with men that actually came from Earth over 10 thousand years before. They came from a much more advanced bunch of humans that thought the population was about to be decimated and sent out these men to colonize a new planet. These men have been cloning themselves over and over and their DNA has also been adjusted to live much longer and not need food. They get their energy from the suns and just drink water.
They can also communicate telepathically.

Amber being "fixed" by the machine has now converted her to solar powered DNA.

She explains human sexuality and old fashioned baby-making to the men and they all want to try it out. Amber ends up hooking up with the group's leader, Kniam.
There were a few explicit scenes, but I'm not certain I would call this book erotica.

A small faction of the men don't want her and her baby-making way there and just want to kill her and use her eggs to keep the old way of cloning themselves going.
They try to kill her. She gets rescued by Kniam.

The colony of men all want a woman and Amber mentions that there are 4 billion back on Earth. Thus begins the big plan and her tutoring all the guys on how to court and behave. Unfortunately, the transport pad on Earth can only work for a 10 hour window every 6 months.

It was semi-predictable, but still an enjoyable read.

I had to stop

The writing wasn't great, but was willing to continue out of boredom. I stopped when the author called the main female character Amanda, the characters actual name was Amber!! if the author doesn't even remember the h's name, it's not worth the read.

Love this book. Really good author. This was a first book and it was absolutely easy reading. Different type of science fiction, but so interesting. the next book in the series "Knollig" is out on 30th September, so I will be there with bells on to buy it.

As an avid alien erotica genre reader, I found this book to be an obscure yet totally delightful addition. It did have editing issues and I seem to recall serious issues with comma's especially in direct address but regardless, it was different and the characters were very lovable. Also, this was a free read if you are a Kindle Unlimited Member so it just doesn't get much better than that!

Quick Rundown: 40 something year old Chick, while on a once in a lifetime trip to Scotland for Christmas, finds herself tumbling onto a tella-porting (sp?) pad when she was just bundled up and trying to catch a sunrise on the lands of an obscure B&B. She wakes from a blackout to find herself in a cage surrounded by large ant like creatures being sold or something to a human like dude with purple eyes. After some hilarious escape and communications attempts, she's been placed in a medical machine for disposal but comes out alive and looking like her best self. And best of all, she can now understand all these hunky males around her. She's the first human they've seen and even they don't really know let alone remember what human females are. There's an immediate attraction between the Council Leader Dude and herself and we end up with a delightfully different alien abduction read.

Characterization: Again, pleasantly surprised. The Chick was full of personality- one of those quirky chicks that was actually written pretty well and not totally annoying or clichéd. The Dude also had a lot of personality and because of who and what he was, that was a magnificent trick by the author. Because of their past, the men are assumed to have little personality but that was not the case. The author kept true to their background but gave them flavor. Secondary characters were fine and interesting enough for me to immediately pick up the next book in the series. The Big Bad was predictable given the situation but I do have a criticism regarding that in the second book.

Plot: This was a nice new twist to the genre. I don't want to even say more because I feel like it would spoil it for you but let's just say that this was a different variation of aliens needing to breed plot line. Sex scenes were hot. Ending left me wanting more but I got what I wanted in the second book as the author is keeping all the characters involved together at this point.

Overall: Despite editing issues, quite a delightful read and I'll be picking up every book in the series as I'm already invested in a lot of the secondary characters.

I enjoyed the book very much. A fresh idea about what happened to the lost civilizations on Earth and who could be some of the aliens that we are all thinking about.

Newly divorced at 46, Amber decides to take a trip to the Scottish Highlands. During her walks in the highlands she fell and went through a portal on another planet.
She is sold by insect creature like aliens to other aliens who look like our humans.

Kniam is a descendant of an ancient human race on the brink of extinction and is looking for compatible humanoid creatures to harvest their eggs for their clones. Little that he knew he is going to find a human.
I found interesting the authors idea about the men of Terraneu being cloned and no women.

I loved the way Kniam reacted to Amber, there was not talk of instant mates or soul mates but more of instant lust.
It was fun the way Amber introduced Kniam to kissing and sex. Can you imagine a hot guy with no knowledge of women and sexuality but more than willing to learn?
There was a slight conflict, and treat to Amber's life in the book but overall it was a story of 2 people coming together and a lost, close to extinction ancient human race on it's was to be rejuvenated in the old fashion way.
I am looking forward to discovering more about Terraneu (which in a way means: New Earth) and the people.

I'm always up for a good sci-fi erotica read...but sad to say, "Kniam" isn't one of those.

Amber, recently divorced, decides to go to Scotland for the vacation of her life..and boy does she get it! While out hiking, Amber falls down a hill, only to land at one end of an intergalactic portal which transports her to a planet where Kniam discovers her and takes her back to his home. Kniam and his brothers soon realize that Amber's much more than just a specimen, she's genetically compatible with their all-male race, and Amber discovers that Kniam is hot, and she's quite happy to show him just how easy Earth Girls are!

It's a very predictable story..there's nothing new in Amber, Kniam, or the plot. It's all been done before, and done better than it is here. There's way too much narrative -- and not nearly enough of the characters' own words and actions. There are numerous grammar and punctuation errors, as well as word usage mistakes that almost make it funny: "...she wrapped it around a couple of times, and held it closed with one hand, viola!" Really...'viola'...not 'voila'???? This error happens three times.

In addition, there are POV errors where it shifts in the middle of a descriptive passage: "She looked up into his smoking gaze..She jerked her eyes back...to get her wayward thoughts under control...Kneus stared at me, then at Kniam..." And in a later chapter it happens again, "Done talking to her for the moment, he walked to the wall...I had seen enough movies to know..."

So..more and better editing needs to happen to this underwhelming story...One star.

Another one that I was glad was a short one because I was pretty bored while reading this. The characters were just too perfect, too polite, too understanding, and it was all just so boring. I also didn't like how it was written. It was too stilted at times and didn't quite flow smoothly all the time. There was WAY too much detail sometimes and I could just feel my eyes glassing over at all the extra info I didnt need (or care) to know. I also didn't like how Amber's "curvy" body was remade right away into her perfect form. As much as I would love for the same thing to happen to me, it seemed shallow and urked me. Also, just because Amber is from Earth, does not make her an expert on everything Earth. My favorite thing in this story was actually Kniam's pet. That thing was fun and cute in a terrifying for your enemies kind of way.

I think Amber and Kniam's relationship made me roll my eyes more times than not because Kniam's people don't know what to do with females. Hell, they didn't even know what she was because they have been repopulating for generations thru cloning. It got completely awkward, even for me as the reader, when Amber had to explain everything from Kniam's physical reaction to her, to everything about sex. For supposedly being the strongest and perhaps most violent of his people, Kniam was pathetic at times and seriously lacked in dominance.

There was only one time in this whole story that something actually happened. But it happened and was over so fast that I don't even know the point of it. And perhaps it was an ideal relationship, but Kniam and Amber talked about pretty much everything, always tried to please the other, and never really did anything that made me jealous of Amber. Like I said, it was boring.

The whole thing with how Amber ended up there could have been good, but here I just thought it was silly and unbelievable. And their plans to get more females for all the men, though a good one in these modern times, seems half baked (honestly, I'd sign up for it but shhh). It's obvious where the next book is going, but I'm tapping out here.

Very funny

This story is a different concept. Another world just like ours but a little different. Lots of handsome hunky men. Our heroine has to teach a guy about sex. This was the part that cracked me up, lots of good humor. I enjoyed this story

Would you want a second chance to live your life over? This is the first book in Stormy McKnight’s Terraneu series and it is worth the read! Ms. McKnight takes her readers to a brave new world that is inhabited with males only! It tells the story of a woman that is changes forever when she accidentally stumbles into this world.

Amber is a middle age woman that has decided to live life to its fullest! After her divorce she takes off on an extended vacation to Scotland hoping to find someone to have some fun with. So when she goes for a walk, falls off of a hill and ends up on a teleportation pad, what’s a girl to do? Try to deny that she is being sucked into another place other than Earth of course! When Amber wakes up she realizes she is not in Kansas anymore! She is caged and traded by giant people to a really hot alien that doesn’t realize that she is a woman and not a primate! Where did this guy come from? When she is knocked out and wakes up the fun really starts. She is on a planet of only men and she is the first woman they have ever seen.

Kniam is a member of the ruling council for his people. He is the Leader of the council and was off world when he procured the crazy primate with the smelly fur! When the primate attacked him, he defended himself and thought he had killed it. He had placed the remains in a disposal unit, but when he returned he found a being that he was instantly attracted to! This was a being unlike any he had ever come across before. What is even more amazing is that now the creature can communicate with him and understands. What is this creature? Why is his body reacting like it is? Is it diseased? Did it infect him?

Let the fun begin! From this point on it is sexy, funny and filled with lots of instruction on males and females interaction! There are also some bad guys that want to keep their world the way it is and not polluted with the presence of females!

Hero: Kniam 4 stars
Heroine: Amber 4 stars
Plot: 4 stars
Steam Level: 4 stars
Cliffhanger: No

Would I recommend this book: Yes. This is a fantastic SciFi read that will keep you entertain as you read! It has hot sizzling sex between an innocent alien and a woman that is willing to do all the instructing he needs to learn!

Would I recommend this author: Yes. Ms. McKnight has a new fan…me! Love her books and cannot wait to see where she will take me next!

After a bitter divorce
Over all an interesting read, a bit of a mars needs women story line only the men don't realize that they need women until on is presented before them. While I will most likely continue on with this series I would only give this book 3 stars since I never really felt that connection with the characters.

This was one of the most sexist romances I have ever read. The heroine spends her time wanting to decorate with throw pillows and plant flowers. While her mate goes off to the council chambers each day, she just lounges around, plays with the cat, or takes strolls. The worst part of the book is that she is the one who suggests that the aliens snatch other Earth women to populate with! I enjoy the alien abduction romances but am angry at the idea of an Earth woman coming up with the idea. She plays house by instructing them in the perfect build for new family homes and dreams up ways to use a online dating scheme to lure in women. There is no thought of whether these women want to be married or having children. But let's not forget the real purpose of the book: to show the the H and h having sex in every available position and location. A note: anal sex is included. The loose plot is just a vehicle for the sex and the setup for the female-stealing basis for the rest of the series. Couldn't finish this one and won't be reading the next one.

What a shame. The trope of a time/space portal is well established and often effective whether it be motivated by magic or science, but much of the previous reviews' criticism is definitely accurate. The heroine is patently unbelievable in her actions and I was astonished how utterly bored I was reading this novel. The sex and characters competed for shallowness with virtually no emotional connection ever established. When coupled with a complete lack of apostrophes (yes, that's right, there was no punctuation for any of the contractions or possessive adjectives) and a few typos, I called myself officially done sampling this author.

It's a shame that this was published. It's a great example of why frequently authors should wait for proper editing and instruction. I think Ms. McKnight has potential but I wonder how many other people won't trust another of her novels after reading this one.

I had a good laugh over this book. It was a relatively easy, entertaining read.

Amber goes on a trip to Scotland to basically celebrate life after her divorce only to find herself go down a "rabbit hole" that she could never have imagined.
She found a group of men that had never seen a woman before. This is where the funny parts come in.

My only complaint was how accepting she was to everything that happened. I think I would have liked it more if Kniam had to work harder to get his mate. Oh well.

Seems like the start of a sweet series.

falling from the sky

This series starts off with Amber who is a divorced older woman looking for an adventure. Well she gets one alright by falling down a well like Alice. When she is captured she knows that nothing will ever be the same. Kniam is having problems he is a leader of a group of men and is running out of cloning eggs. He has no solution in sight so when a primate lands in his lap he needs to find out whether this is a solution or a problem.
I thought both characters were funny and ridiculous. I also couldn't wait to read more.

Meh. Really could have used some editing - switching from first to third person is really annoying, and commas in the correct places would have been great, as well as a bit less crazy Scottish brogue... no idea what the old man was saying.

The plot is nothing to get too excited over, it's more like a fan fiction "everything magically works out" plot... and the sex I ended up mostly skipping. So yeah...

Lastly, as a Dutch speaker, I just can't take a book seriously with character names as Knollig and Kneus. ROFL

A good editor was needed for this book..

I immediately lost interest when the main character was called "Amanda" instead of "Amber" (" Kneus pushed a button and Amanda gasped as a holographic x-ray image of her came up."). At that point, all I could focus on was the grammatical errors and I struggled to finish the book. It was a decent story but filled with so many errors it made it hard for me to follow along.

I only read a few chapter, but it was like reading a junior high girl's diary on caffeine- extremely hyper, outrageous, and lacking in anything remotely logical. I understand that it is fiction but seriously at least make the character somewhat believable as a human being, instead of a sex monkey on crack.

there were very few grammatical errors so the story flowed well. the story is picking up by the end of book 1. I'm not sure how there will be any action in the future, so I'm excited to see where this goes.
