God gave His angels the choice to fall, and for one heartbeat, Xander wished He hadn’t.

Angels don’t freak out. Ever. So when Xander Wright experiences his first freak out moment, he keeps it a secret…for twenty years. Forced by his siblings to finally pitch in and help with their assignment, Xander comes face to face with Abby Miller’s beautiful brown eyes again. Seeing her now as a young woman, Xander knows with all of his being that his heart and soul belong to Abby. They always have.

With demons clamoring to kill God’s Ordained Soul, Xander struggles to keep Abby’s identity a secret from Lucifer’s spawn and Abby, as well. Nothing could have prepared Xander for falling in love with a human, but as Guardian of the First Choir of angels, he will fight the forces of Heaven, Hell, and Abby’s weak heart to keep her alive. A life without Abby would be his own Hell, but to be with her, Xander must give up all he is and break his Vow to God. His one desire and his one fear are the same.

To fall for Abby.

Favorite Lines “Closing my eyes, I relinquished to his hold, his love.”

“I’ll break your heart over and over again, but I promise you, our happy ever after will be something Heaven could envy.”

“I wanted to believe it was possible, but I knew better than to hope for miracles.”

“You must trust that I love you unconditionally. All I want is you. I will make this work. I told you we are going to get old and wrinkly together. This doesn’t change anything. I’m going to fall for you. I’m going to hold you until my dying breath. I’m going to love you forever.”

“My true Hell had just begun.”

Beautiful! That's the first word that comes to mind when I think of this book.
I've always been a fan of angel books and this one puts a new spin on it. Xander and his brother and sisters are Guardians to Abby. A foul demon Cresil killed Abby's mother and is looking for Abby.
This author did an amazing job of capturing love, beauty, evil, and all that's in between.
I was memorized by this book and can't wait to get my hands on the next one!
Great writing, great story, amazing characters! More please!!

*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review by LoP (Lovers of Paranormal)*
* I have also read and review the revised version below*

I fell in love with this book before I even read a single word. I do have a minor (extremely major!!) obsession with books that have an amazing blend of angels, demons, and devastating romance. This book had everything I was looking for!!! The main characters were Abby and Xander. Abby is a girl that is extremely limited physical-wise, and has never been able to truly live her life like a normal girl. Xander, short for Alexander, is a Guardian Angel. Xander is actually Abby's Guardian because of a series of very unfortunate events stemming from a demon named Cresil. Xander is drawn to Abby from the time she is a baby, but soon after her birth he grows detached till the time that she is of-age. I really do adore their love story, it is so tooth-achingly sweet. I do have a question though, where are all the Xanders in the world holed up and where can I get me one??? The demon lord Cresil is always causing trouble and wreaking havoc upon Abby and Xander at every turn. If I could, I would personally annihilate him with bitter torture!!! Anyways, you do get to see this story from multiple points of view. I think that the multi-views were a very nice plus because you could find out more information from the characters and it ties up the story to make more sense in the end. My ONLY issue with this book is the really suspenseful cliffhanger that had me literally holding my breath. This book did have some deliciously steamy scenes but they never went too far, so I would highly recommend this book for the more mature YA and NA audiences alike. I fell in love with this book so completely and I can't wait to read the next books in this angelic series!!!!!

*Revised Review*

So, I got the revised edition because it was simply an excuse to re-read one of my favorite books. The story line is more or less the same, but there a few more details given. The steamy scenes were definitely re-vamped! I could not complain on that one! I couldn't help but fall in love with Xander all over again. *swoon* But I did notice while re-reading that Abby is RIDICULOUSLY accident prone! Like she needs to be bubble wrapped in 10 layers so that she doesn't harm herself. And I also noticed how insecure she is, I kind of wanted to shake her so she'd open her eyes that Xander has those angelic eyes on her, and ONLY her. Anyways, this is definitely my favorite angel book, and I can't wait to re-read To Hold!!

3,5 stars

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal).

My rating system explanation - 3 stars

3 stars - 3 stars have actually 10 stars within them selves. From 3.0 to 3.9, I'll always put 3 stars. Sometimes it's closer to 4 stars, but I wont rate it a 4-star, 'cause that means just a step more. A 3.5 star rated book means I actually like it, quite much. It has things I don't like, but overall I would say it's a good read!

Overall:
I actually liked it! I'm not sure what I expected, but I did like it. It had some parts that were beyond annoying, and they are the main reason I didn't give this book a 4 star. Some aspects of the story reminded me of Twilight. School setting, too-young, naive characters, super hot guy and clumsy and ordinary girl. Not that I find Edward hot, Xander is much more up to my taste.

The review might contain spoilers from this point on!

Sexual content: Few rape mentions and almost-rapes, a lot of steamy kissing and touching, and exactly no sex at all.

All in all, I got caught up in the story and I would really like to finish it, despite me not being a good NA reader! Would definetely recommend this book for anyone who likes angels, New Adult read and a good romance.

To Fall made me remember why I love Angel romances so much. As soon as I read the synopsis, I knew I would love this series. Xander and Abby had the purest and realist love I've ever read. Xander is literally an angel. He would do anything for Abby and always takes care of her needs. Abby does the same for him. They are so devoted to each other and so in love. All they see is each other.

I loved all the other angels. Especially Caleb. They are the true definition of a family. I laughed every time someone accidentally interrupted one of Xander and Abby's intense make out sessions. The chemistry between these two- OMG. So intense, so sweet. You could truly feel the love these two had for each other.

I wish I could rate this book more than 5 stars.

I am falling, or I felt in love with this story. Abby and Xander are two
characters that will keep you on an emotional roller coaster. Xander is Abby's guardian angel that trying to keep her safe from the demon Cresil. This story was beautifully written with more twists and turns than a motion picture. I was amazed by Ms Donna's work and I am looking for to see what is coming next!!!

Eli Young Band - Say Goodnight

i have one word that can describe this book:intense.
this book was great, wonderful but above anything else intense.
the story begins with Abby running for her life because a dark presence repeatedly tries to molest and kill her.desperate she runs into the arms of an entity radiating life and warmth.our very own angel,Xander.
Abby suddenly wakes up and she founds herself in the hospital with pneumonia.
you see, Abby is a lot more than what she seems.except for the fact that she has a weak heart and she thinks her mother abandoned her when she was an infant,Abby unknowingly is the centre of the eternal battle between Heaven and Hell.
description

it all begins when Anne,Abby's biological mom,was raped and impregnated by demon Cresil whose only wish is to ameliorate his hellish social status and in order to do so must kill abby as he did with her mother or malignate her soul, Abby was put in a very dangerous situation.her whole existance is a threat to both Heaven and Hell and she doesn't even know it.when Xander failed to save Anne he promised to protect little Abby.nonetheless he didn't expect the feelings that little creature made him feel for the first time.
20 years pass and now Xander is back ready to protect her from the demon who ruined her mother's life and is keen on destroying Abby's.
Cresil if you ask me,is beyond creepy.he is vile, obnoxious, slimy coward who will do anything as long as gains something from it.
description
after Xander saves her time and time again, they grow close as Xander is finally ready to let himself feel for the first time in his creation.this bond started when Abby was born but Xander fearing of the human feelings he experienced in her presence.
description

Abby, too, feels a deep connection with the guy she always sees in her dreams ever since she was born.after 20 years of dreaming about him, she finds herself falling in love with a guy she has never even met in real life.or she believes she hasn't.
their love is kind of an instalove but it doesn't feel like one.it is more like lovers that were meant to be together.
description

but Cresil grows bold and seeks Abby almost every night.and Xander can't help but protect her.not only because he and his siblings are her Guardian Angels but also because he somehow is irrevocably in love with her.
between her love for Xander and her fear for both her weak heart and her nightmares, Abby matures.she tries to put aside her insecurities and fears and live her life and love in the fullest.she knows she is weak and constantly fears that she is an anchor to her beloved ones, but Xander is always there to tell her otherwise.

"By the way, you're so tiny I don't think you could anchor a toy boat."

some times in a funny way and some times in heart-warming way.

"You don't know how special you are,Abby, and you truly don't get how special you are to me. I would move Heaven for you"

description

he is there for her.even though he withlods the truth and keeps her in distance,he can't help his need to be together with her.he tried so hard not to hurt her,to protect her,to heal her,to win her love.
his constant battle between his need to show her his love and his need to protect her was such a great detail in the book.he fights to understand his newly found human feelings and at the same time he tries to act normal so as to not scare her away, until he finally realises that all he needs to do is just show her.
.“This is called a Claddagh ring. I’m not Irish, but I always appreciated its symbolism.” Fingering the design, he explained, “The crown represents loyalty, that I shall be devoted to you. The hands denote friendship, to be by your side through both sorrow and joy. The heart signifies love. That I may cherish you and the happiness you bring me.” His eyes met mine, wide and pleading. “Abigail Miller, will you accept my promise of loyalty, friendship, and love? Will you be mine? My girlfriend?"

and if she had any doubts he just told her

“Abby, I’m in love with you."

now Xander is a guy who isn't afraid to express how he feels.the birthday picnic, the zoo,the cooking class, the ring, his dream about marrying her and growing old with her.this guy is so sweet he can give you toothache.and he raised the bar too high for many book boyfriends.
i adored the fact that Xander was old-fashioned.he was so sweet and cute.i mean come on!the guy blushes!and he asks her dad to date her.
description

another thing i loved about his book are the family relationships.they were present.you know how many books suffer the Absent parents syndrome where they leave the main characters to fare for themselves.well, Abby's family was always by her side, worried about her, cried for her, were happy when she was happy and they were just there for her.same goes for Margaret, who in my opinion is one kickass lady.
and i loved the interactions between Xander and his siblings Caleb,Hannah and Calista.the angels were really carefully portayed.
description
they were innocent.they blushed and they were really cute and caring creatures.they took their duty to protect God's creations seriously and they were happy for Xander finding love even though they didn't really understand it.
as far as Abby is concerned, she was such a cutie.she was constantly in and out of the hospital but didn't let her weak heart put her down.she hadn't become sarcastic or grim.she didn't curse her fate or hate the world.she is kind, sweet, attentive, compassionate human being who was always ready to show a smile and give a helping hand to whoever needed it.
as Xander points out

"How could Gabriel not sense it? How did I know something an Archangel didn’t? Abby had a pure soul"

these two were really cute together.they may not understand completely one another but that doesn't mean they are clueless.

"I was his. He was mine"

fyi i loved Abby's reaction when he told her his identity

"Then i am in love with an angel"

and Xander's devotion to his desicion to fall for her despite his fear of not being able to help her.

description

Bryan White - God Gave Me You

all in all i loved this book. some moments in the book reminded me of dear old Twilight and there were a few cheesy moments(but just the right amount of cheesiness) and i loved it anyway and i hope a lot of people will too.
also, you may notice that it has a "Supernatural" vibe

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review through Lovers of Paranormal.

To Fall is a YA/NA Paranormal Romance that will be loved by some and hated by others. I enjoyed the read. Our heroine Abby is most often believable, interesting and funny. Our hero Alexander, is charismatic, strong and everything we want in a hero. The novel has great pacing, heartwarming moments, believable tragedy and great dialogue. From the first page I was brought into a world that I wanted to experience. I wanted to know all the details about every character and I wanted to get through the hefty length (about 500 pages). The romance is realistic in its simplicity and overall it is beautifully written.

What's lacking in the storyline is depth of feeling, maturity (emotional and social), and editing. The characters go through similar experiences repeatedly which extends the novel in a way that is unnecessary. Alexander is constantly saving Abby because she is putting herself in the same situation over and over again. Stop going to parties and talking to men that have split personalities. Abby is constantly getting jealous of Alexander for his interaction with Danielle. Stop sitting next to her. This is college, request a new lab partner. These elements to provide tension in the book are so unnecessary when you have bigger problems in the form of Cresil, Gabriel, Uriel, and heart failure.

The bigger problems in this novel are the most beautiful. Feelings of inferiority because Abby has a heart condition that impairs her ability to act in the ways of a normal young adult. Xander's inexperience with human emotion and thus his inability to control certain behaviors. The angel that loves a human. The desire to feel connected to a birth parent despite being adopted. The characters wanting to know that they are loved despite their flaws. The other elements of safety at a party and jealously of a lab partner clouded the more important conflicts in the storyline.

Finally, the ending cliffhanger was unnecessary. I read this book in a day, purchased the second and third and finished them the same weekend. I would have purchased them because the author is talented and writes a beautiful story. I didn't need the cliffhanger to bring me back. Finish the book properly and start the new novel with Abby's recovery. I have always found cliffhangers such as this one insulting to the reader and believe they are derived from the insecurity of the author. I didn't need anything else to bring me into this series. The descriptive writing and the plot line were more than enough to keep me coming back for more.

******Second Edition
I have upped my stars from 3 to 4, because I absolutely love the changes. Abby is stronger, fiercer, and just down right lovable. The editing improved by miles. Xander was so damn perfect, I had to compare him to the Roarkes, Giedons, Christians, Wraths and Hudsons of the literary world. I don't know if it was just reading this for a second time, but I loved it. Donna's characters are passionate and fun, while being realistic and true to their personality. Yes the sex scenes are hotter and that made it all that much more wonderful. I think there may be a little more profanity, but I didn't mind that. The characters appear more authentic. Excellent read.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review. This book started as a 3 star book for me in the first few pages pobably since I dont usually read much involving plots with Angels and not many New Adult. However Donna BLEW me AWAY. I was not expecting the tenacious villian or the depth of emotion from all characters. The ending is a cliffhanger that left me completely gasping. I was rooting for the Hero and Heroine, and now I want my own version of Alexander, thanks to Miss Donna. If you want to read a book with good characters and twists along the way I recommend this!!!

To Fall, By Donna AnnMarie Smith is an Angel story, telling from a split point of view between Abby and Alexander. Abby is not your usual teenager; she was a being who was never meant to exist. Conceived from the horrors of Hell, and carrying the burden of failing health - a heart that is getting weaker as time goes on. Abby's life is remarkably restrained, she tries's hard to live a normal life, but she isn't meant to be normal.
Abby's life changes the day Xander enters her waking hours, you see Xander has been there in her dreams for as long as she can remember, he has always been her savior. As Xander try's to defend Abby every waking and sleeping second, the odds are building that something is going to happen.
Xander is a Guardian Angel, his purpose to protect Gods ordained soul. Xander struggles with these new Human emotions of Love. There is one thing Xander's heart truly want's... "To Fall for Abby."

I feel this book gives you a little of everything. A genuinely fascinating read that has those pages turning quickly. A heart-wrenching story, of Love, Desire; sacrifice, & despair.
I adored Abby's and Xander's story - they are both loveable characters. You will fall in love with Xander's pure angelic loveliness; he is a beautiful character that leaves your heart feeling mushy. You'll feel sorry for him throughout this story, No matter how hard he tries Abby has one accident after another. You can feel the emotions from Xander coming through the unique way Donna writes. I feel with the unique story and the way Donna writes, it's a story that pulls you in and acts out like movies behind closed eyes. And I loved that about this story, you feel every aspect of despair coming from Xander, every bit of love and desire.
I considered one minuscule issue with this story is the amount of things that happen to Abby, I can guarantee you, you will not ever find such a helpless, hopeless character. However, putting that small issue aside, Abby is still a loveable character; one that you will adore reading about,
Each character has been well constructed and made to be solid Xanders Brother and sisters - fellow Guardian's, are just adorable. Overall everything about this book is Loveable, Adorable; And easy to fall in love with!

Donna is an excellent author and definitely a master of her craft. She has a very pleasant writing style that I thoroughly enjoyed. The pace of the book was only ok for me. I thought it might be a little bit on the drawn out side, but not too bad.

Xander is definitely by far my favorite character in this book, making you wish people/angels like him actually exist. I am torn on Abby however. I get it that she has a rough live with the demons, her heart and her past and all, yet she continues to make one stupid decision after the other like wandering off to the woods when they know there are some drunkards nearby. I know she probably wants to be as normal as she possibly can, but when you get injured left and right, maybe at some point it is time to say ok, I can't do that, not while I am alone. I struggle with her not learning her lessons. On the other hand she is a very sweet girl, and character wise definitely someone who I would call a friend.

All the other characters, angels, humans and demons, make up for a very nice mix that completes this story and makes it interesting to read.

All in all I did really enjoy it, just struggle a little bit with Abby. But clearly I liked it since I ended up buying the other 2 in this series

I love this book! I am a huge fan of Angel/Guardian books, so I was excited to get a chance to read this book. This book will definitely have your emotions running and your heart pounding. Xander, who is an angel and Abby, who is a human share something so beautiful snd sweet and pure together. It's really magical, but there's a lot more going on in the story. Meander and his brothers and sisters are actually Abby's guardians, and she is in real dander. The author provides a hearty, very detailed story and great well developed characters. I enjoyed not only the main characters but the dude characters too. You can just see everything taking place, and slip right into the story. This is a journey full of twists and turns and *Warning cliffhanger! I shouted out loud. Oops! I can't wait to start the next in the series. When I read the synopsis for To Fall, I immediately signed up to read this. And I wasn't disappointed.

To Fall maybe more on Abby and Xander but it's told in multiple point of views.

The story was very interesting and I do loved the characters especially the relationship between Abby and Xander. I freaking loved some of the words exchange between those two. Although of course, no characters are perfect. There's always some flaws. Abby was too much of klutz to me (I admit that I'm a klutz but not like Abby) and although I do love some heroine who needs help but not too much. And Xander would be one of the most ideal boyfriend ever.

There were some scenes that were a bit not to my taste, and I just sort of schemed through it to just get it over but overall, I quite enjoyed it.

The ending was to be expected. And I'm of to book 2.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading To Fall. It is an emotional, heart-warming love story that draws you in and doesn't let you go.It starts out as a simple love story between a human and an angel but as the story develops there are twists and turns that cumulate into a cliff hanger ending.

I loved Ms Smith’s writing style, the story flowed well and the romance beautifully told from both Abby and Xander’s point of view. Abby and Xander are both strong and compelling characters and their attraction to each other burns hot throughout their story.

I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this to young adult/new adult readers of paranormal romance.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I like how Xander and Abby developed their feelings for each other. A love between a human and angel is already a plot itself, but with those twist and turns just turns brought the story into an entirely new level. Add in the cliffhanger at the end makes you want to find out more.
The only thing that holds me back in giving this a 5 star is that the timeline of Xander, Abby and Cresil’s point of view overlap each other and confuses me a great deal.

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

I could read till page 50 but it was a real struggle. My reading wasn't as smooth as usually I really had to work hard to reach the end of a page.

First, angels are a very difficult topic to write about. Your religious view does influence your reading. I don't have trouble with the depiction of angels in Japanese manga: they're usually winged creatures that have none of the characteristics that Christian angels are supposed to have. When it comes to Occidental depiction the discussion gets a little thornier. It really depends on how the author and you reader think about religion.

These angels rely heavily on Christianity. Something happens and it's because God wanted it that way. A young woman gets raped by a demon-possessed man, she gets pregnant and it's all God's work. Archangels don't come and help... it's all God's will. It's quite difficult to accept it for me.

In addition the shifting point of view was way confusing because as soon as the point of view shifts, the story goes back and you read the very same events you're just finished reading.

Abbi was... too good to be true. She's been in love with a dream for most of her life and suddenly he sees that very same dream in flesh and blood in front of her hospital bed and, of course, she fells even more with him. He also feels the same attraction to her and it was just 50 pages into a 414-page long one.

Abby can't have a job because of her heart and she couldn't even study because of the illness. All she does is staying at home cleaning. Cinderella, here we come. Really, if you have a heart condition you can't go to school but you're allowed to clean the house?! And of course, she can't cook. One wonders what did she does at home... Too needy for my liking.

In addition, Abby's too goo to be true. When she goes to the mall with her friends she's helping every person that needs help. She's not a person but a real-life saint. Mother Teresa in Phoenix, Arizona. That was a bit annoying: no one is that perfect.

And there's something odd with the writing style. It seems that the author had a feud with the definitive article the because it's often missing. Two example:
My braid was unraveling and makeup a bit smudged.

I was staring at him again, but I could totally blame that on the near death experience, lack of oxygen to my brain.

Those are just two examples taken from page 50-51 but there are more along the book. And I know I shouldn't judge because English isn't my mother language but those expressions do sound weird to my hear.

I wish Donna AnnMarie Smith the best and I'm sorry I couldn't finish her book.

I received this book for free from Goodread's Giveaways in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. This book was not at all what I was expecting. I was blown away. It's really very, very good.

When I won this book I was expecting a cheap little supernatural romance type of thing - sort of a guilty pleasure of mine - but this was so much more!

The characters have a beautiful depth to them, even the minor ones, and I can honestly say I was involved in the outcome of all their little problems. The writing style is light and downright funny in a lot of places, and the plot is much more than angelic boy meets human girl. There's actually things going on, peril and real human emotion.

The book covers some delicate topics including rape, murder, adoption, abstinence and the loose morals of teenagers in the society of today.

The writing is up to date with many cultural references including teeny slang and stuff like the popularity of Star Wars and Frozen.

I do have a few small grievances such as, the way the chapters are written. It's all in first person, usually Abby or Xander, but sometimes we sort of repeat the same chapter but from the other persons point of view. While this does add to the plot a little, I think a lot of it should have been cut, it just seems pointless to go for a second blow-by-blow instead of carrying on with the plot.

Another thing is the target audience. It's good, don't get me wrong, but I'm thirty years old and some of the teenage references went right over my head. I'm not particularly hip - wait, do people still say hip? - It reads like a teenagers book, but the sex..! Oh my feathers, we have some super interesting scenes including rape and angelic masturbation. Wow. Very enjoyable, and well written, but not exactly teenie-bopper friendly.

In summary I enjoyed it immensely and will certainly be checking out the rest in the series.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal).

Rating: 2/5 stars (Okay)

Donna begins by making her readers hit the ground running from the first page. The suspense, however, does not stop there. I’m a sucker for multiple perspectives. It had its own spin: several time jumps (thought they could be a bit ill timed).

However, there were definitely some awkward moments worth addressing.

I found it many moments to be very twilight.

There were definitely times where I felt that the story got ridiculous. Alexander just happens to be too close to Danielle. Whoops what an accident. Another round of jealousy anyone? Oh no how is he to fend her off? I guess the same goes for Abigail. Oh no Jake, stop doing this to me. Oh yes Alexander! Thank you for always being there to save me!

Towards the end, it felt like every other scene was someone trying to hurt Abby in a rather specific manner but of course someone will save her. It got very annoying. In my opinion almost rape scenes were overused.

Overall, a just-okay teenage romance book. I will say Donna's writing style is amazingl (steamy sections were amazingly vivid). I recommend this book for people who like stories where anything is possible. People who are seeking to make their heart race and live a fantastic teenage love.

***I received this book in exchange for an honest review, Lovers of Paranormal.***

That was a surprisingly long book...thank goodness I really enjoyed it. First of all that was a VERY mean cliffhanger that Donna Smith left us at the end of this book...after all of that reading and building...and that's where it's left! Unreal!

Regardless, it was an exciting story, yes a little long, but Smith made sure it was worth the trek. The characters were funny, dramatic and lovable. The Wright "siblings" had great entertaining banter and it made me want to know them. Mel and Beth were just dramatic enough and faithful enough that they probably represent my own friend group. Xander was overbearing, stalkerish but devoted and is the kind of book boyfriend that makes girls reevaluate the real thing.

My only criticisms were sometimes Xander was a little too good sounding. I know it was part of the "angel" image and maybe I just didn't understand the concept but I just wanted it to be more real feeling...but I guess that's asking too much for an angel, uh? I liked Abby's character better but sometimes it all became slightly annoying.

But I really, really enjoyed it though. Especially towards the end when everything picked up and made me excited for book 2.

4 stars!

To Fall, Volume One of a trilogy, is a paranormal romance with heavy emphasis on the romance. This book that I received as a Goodreads giveaway introduces Xander Wright, an angel who, with his three siblings, has been watching over Abby Miller since her birth. With a nod to the concept of imprinting that was central to Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series, Xander is ready to give up everything to spend the rest of his life with Abby, believing, as she does, that they belong together. However, in the interim, he has to keep her safe from the demon that impregnated her mother and now, twenty years later, wants to claim her as well. To further complicate matters, Abby's birth circumstances resulted in her having a weak heart, so she desperately needs Xander's healing powers, which he would lose if he steps down from his position as a Guardian of the First Choir of angels. The cliff-hanger ending will leave readers eagerly awaiting the publication of Volume Two to learn how Abby survives her encounter with the demon while the angels are off patroling.

First, I want to say I'm a sucker for split POV books. I love being able to look into the minds of both main characters. I also loved how in some of the chapters, it even went backwards to re-tell the same scene from the other person's POV. That was great for me. I also really liked the concept of the book. Xander knowing about Abby from when she was born and feeling a connection to her. The idea of angels and all of their powers was interesting to me. I think the writing was done really well and I enjoyed all of the detail. In the end though, it was just way too long. There were scenes that I felt just weren't necessary. The climax built and built and built and I was thinking around the 75% mark, "ok, let's just get this over with already". I think it could have been shortened quite a bit and still held enough substance to get the point across.

I received this book for free from LoP in exchange for an honest review.

Im giving this book 3 stars. I liked the concept of the Guardian Angels being there and involved in Abby's life, I'm a huge believer in Guardian Angels. I really liked Xander always coming to the rescue, he has a place in my heart for him and the concept of the story was good. The only thing that I didn't really like was that it was written in 1 St person. and each chapter had the story told from their point of views. I'm not a big fan of reading a book told in 1st person.

I give you great credit though for telling the story of a GuardianAngel falling in love with a human. My favorite quote from the book is "GOD cares about what you do every day, not just on Sunday. HE can see into your heart ." That has stuck with me as it is just so true. Thank you for letting me read your book:).

I was gifted this book by the author to read and review via lop.

Oh wow! Oh my! Oh wow! This is a true romantic love story.

Xander was with Abby when she was so violently conceived. As a Guardian Angel he was with her at her violent birth. There something happened to him and Abby was the cause.
Xander avoided Abby for 20 years leaving her care to his brother and sisters. Till one day Abby got sick!

I was stuck to my tablet like glue.
I loved the build up between Xander and Abby to the heart stopping love they had. No hot and steamy action needed at all. It was perfect.
But. And I am crying out in dismay here. How could you end on such a dramatic cliff hanger? Omg I almost threw my tablet and screamed noooooo!!!!!!

I NEED the next installment.

I was really looking forward to read this book but in the end i find it just plane. The writing was amazing. You just can see everthing the writer describes but for me it was the story that didn t anchor. I liked Xander and his siblings but Abby it was a other story. She was just rainbows, Unicorn and in the end boring. She was so insecure that i find my self yelling at her and like the writer put it i have a headache so much i roll my eyes at the heroin. I give 3 star to this book because even if the story wasn t amazing the writing is.

I am giving this 2 1/2 ***
There were so many things that worked my nerves. First off it have the potential to really be a good book. Then, somewhere in the first chapters it lost me, but I continued to read it. I was so over the repetitive words and feelings. Not to mention that the main character (Abby) was ok, but always fainting, heart attacks and blacking out...due to her condition. Then, with Xander I felt his character could of definitely been a book boyfriend, but he lost me too. More than likely I won't be reading the 2nd book :/

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

This book is incredible. It is written in such a way that you miss no action from either point of view of Xander or Abby. This relationship is so interesting because she is so special to me. There are a few questionable things that happen which I am going to ask the author but overall great read. The book may be long, but it is so worth the ride. It was really hard to put it down. I woke often just to pick it up again. I can't wait to jump on book two and three. So romantic!

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

It was good. Well written. Perfect for my 2015 book challenge, as it's set in my hometown (Phoenix). I've been to so many of the places described. I especially loved the zoo scene and the inclusion of Bess, a beloved favorite at The Phoenix Zoo. The ending left me on the edge of my seat. I have to know what happens next!
