Who, what, where, when and why. Those were the questions journalism professor Jameson King lived by. But the murder of his prot?, a young newspaper reporter, remained a mystery. One that Jameson— and the reporter's grief-stricken sister—vowed to solve. But working with Cassie Winters wasn't easy. A former student ten years his junior, the stunning redhead was too young, too full of life, for a man like him. A man with a secret concerning her brother…a secret that might tear them apart forever.

I enjoyed this mystery/romance. The characters were likable, I didn't figure out the mystery until the end, and the relationship that developed between the two main characters was sweet. Would def recommend it to a friend!
Okay, again this is not a genre I typically read, but I needed a book that was a quick read that doesn't need a lot of brain exercising. This is a nice read. It is apparently a part of a "series within the series" type book. I have not read the others in the series, but I was able to catch on to the story just fine. The characters are likeable and the suspense was interesting. There are some questions that were not answered in this book. I guess you need to read the next one in the series. I don't know if my library would have it or not, but I am almost done with the exhausting remodel and not sure how many other in this genre that I will be reading. Lol. So I may never know all the answers.
5 years ago Scott Winters was injured, which cut short his basketball career and his track to NBA. He's now a journalist starting to get his life back together ~ until someone stops him...permanently!
Cassie is devastated over her brother's death, but she is determined to see the killer brought to justice.
What was Scott working on?
Does it have anything to do with the body found buried on campus? Or is something else going on?
I loved this continuation in the Reunion Revelations Continuity, and am enjoying this group of friends as they band together again...and discover romance along the way!

You really do need to read these books in order as each book, while a story on its own, also has a plot which runs & develops through all the 6 books, building up to the grand finale in book 6. This means that you will not only want to read this book, but also the other 5 in the series! So if you are looking for a one off story to read, then this is not the book for you. However, if you are short of reading material & want a series to get you going, then you might want to try out this series.
This was a hard one because we watch the heroine's brother die during this book. It's always sad when I read about good people dying while the book is going on (compared to already being dead when it begins). I so desperately wanted to know who killed Scott and hope that the answer was indeed as easily resolved as was mentioned at the end of this book. But since this is a continuation series, I've a feeling his murder is going to fit into the bigger picture.
I felt sorry for Jameson. self-guilt is the worst. We are always harder on ourselves then on other people - or than people are on us. It was all his self-guilt that kept him from accepting the interest Cassie had in him. It was a bit strange to think that she was in love with him ten years ago when he was her professor (they had not kind of relationship except professional, so how could that be?), and that now that they aren't professor/student anymore (but they actually were since she was taking a night class with him), she was free to pursue the widower.
The story was interesting, though. I liked the whole concept of "who killed Scott?"
Good story. Not too wild about the series with different authors, plus the library doesn't have all the series. So you lose some of the story. The story is great with a lot of suspense. This was slightly sappy with Cassie. She acted like she was a teenage instead of an adult. But good story other than that.
