4.5 Stars!
I really enjoyed this story and the characters in it. Even though I did not read the first two books in this series I was able to understand what was going on and figure out the back story. And now I'm very interested in going back and reading books 1 & 2.
What made this story different was that the wolves and dragons are at war with each other and the humans have essentially abandoned the planet. I thought that this was a very interesting take on a shifter series.
I really enjoyed this story and the characters in it. Even though I did not read the first two books in this series I was able to understand what was going on and figure out the back story. And now I'm very interested in going back and reading books 1 & 2.

Robbie Owens has been "dead" for years. That's part of the price you pay when you join the elite forces of the dragon war. He leads his team of werewolves, including his twin, August on the most dangerous missions attempting to kill the dragon queen and end the war. Tatyana Knox is a scientist, part of a secret group of humans who stayed on earth studying the werewolves and trying to help them survive against the dragons. Unbeknown to Robbie she has saved him and his team from death before. Afterward, she wiped their memories but Robbie was changed nevertheless. He had met his mate. When Taty saves him again, he uses his power to remember their encounter, the woman, and her advanced equipment. Determined to have both he leads his team and a few others back to the human's secret base. Their time is nearly up in more ways than one and it's a race against the clock if he is to have his mate and a major advantage toward finally ending the war.
The Dragon War series just keeps getting better. As we get to know the Owen's brothers and Knox girls better, it's impossible not to become more invested in the welfare of their family and the werewolf community. Robbie is wonderful, a born Alpha. He's pragmatic, brave, and selfless. He thinks of his men, his family, and the survival of the werewolves over his own needs. His world shifts once he meets Tatyana as she becomes his main priority but he never shirks his duty. Taty is smart, brave, caring. The love and support of their families (all but one) and their team are endearing. Love found amidst war is lovely.
These books are quick, entertaining reads but each contains a deeper lesson; Survival, PTSD, overcoming disabilities, equality of the sexes. It's subtle and fits into the story without being preachy. This particular story is about equality and also includes a line, "Narcissists had no business being in charge". Timely. Relevant. If only we humans could follow the advice of the werewolf Alpha! To find such truth in the middle of a dragon/werewolf war, in the middle of a story of a werewolf finding his mate and forgetting his mate is amazing. Rebecca Royce is always full of surprises.

WOW! The book starts out with a scene from the future and it had me go huh? Then I started reading and the present took over until I got to the part that made me go ahh okay. Robbie's alive and not dead the way his brothers think, him and his twin are in an elite group fighting the dragons. Every time they get hurt they don't remember things and when Robbie gets hurt this time he meets Tatyana and from that moment he doesn't forget again. Tatyana is a human and part of the last group still on the planet the werewolves and dragons are. They've been there studying and the time has come for all of them to leave. But when Robbie realizes that she's his mate that changes everything.
This is my favorite so far in the series. I love the twists that are in it, oh boy are there twists! Can't wait to read more about this group of wolves that will do what's needed to be with their mates!

we discovered at the end of Eternal that Robbie and Auggie, the long thought dead Owen brothers are alive, and part of a secret team. That secret team is trying to figure out secrets from the long dead humans, clues on how to defeat the dragons. And during an attempt to gather more information his team has been attacked by dragons. Seems like a goner, but it Turns out the humans have found him. and it's not the first time. One of humans Tatyana has developed a connection with Robert, though she wiped it from his mind. not knowing that they are mates. But Tatyana and the remaining humans are leaving shortly, leaving Earth. can Robbie convince her to stay and help the werewolves in the fight against the dragons, rather than just leave all their dirty work behind?

This story is about Robbie Owens, one of the twin brothers the family believes is dead. But neither twin is, but instead they are parts of an elite team that have seen and done things no one should have ever wanted or needed to do.
For the last year Robbie has been a bit out of sorts or not up to 100%. We find out why in this book.
We also find out a bit more of where the dragons as well as the shape shifters came from. And then there's also the mystery of what happened to the humans that use to be on the planet.
Part of a series and yet a self-contained story. Well written and very entertaining to read.

This is the third book in the dragon wars series and there's just as much action and intensity as the first two. In this book we get to learn about Robbie and Tatyana. He's been thought dead by everyone for years now, secretly fighting to end the war. She's a human hiding out and helping the werewolves when she can. It was a very interesting story how their relationship came about and progressed. I really enjoyed it.

This volume finally answers so many questions about the universe. Of course as it's a series of novellas they could have all been in a full-length book and the answers would have come in the third part. I think it would have been less frustrating.
That being said the couple is interesting and the plot progresses a lot, and I'm glad I went on reading this series.

I at first was a little apprehensive when reading this book by Ms. Rebecca Royce. No it wasn’t at the content because I am a big paranormal romance reader and honestly love the genre it because here I am reading the third book in the dragon wars series and I am going to be so lost that nothing is going to make sense which is very far from the truth because Ms. Royce as a standalone too giving me enough background to fully understand so you can read it like this if you want but it does make me eager to read the rest in the series too. Even though this is my first book of hers and definitely not my last Ms. Royce writes wonderfully well with a great intriguing fully developed storyline despite the short length of the book, the easily imagined almost post apocalyptic world, the two factions of enemy dragons the werewolf shifter warrior fighters attempting to stop a war with the unknown humans being mostly myth or legend and the suspenseful nature with a beautiful romance thrown in makes the book quite a page turner.
Robert “Robbie” Owens a werewolf shifter warrior while on a cave expedition after sneaking into dragon territory to explore human ruins is attacked by dragons and knows he is possibly going to die. Tatyana “Taty” Knox a human doctor saves Robbie also tries to erase his mind with drugs after helping him even though she feels not only an attraction to him but a need to close to him too. No matter that Tatyana attempts to make him forget her he can’t either. What happens when the attraction between Robbie and Tatyana becomes so much more.
I know that dragons are portrayed as evil in this book I still admire and hold a wide eyed fascination with them I didn’t think they were all bad despite that they attacked the werewolf warriors and humans. Robbie was just a compelling alpha male hero even with his brash harsh demeanor I still really liked him. He didn’t want to lead yet his warriors followed him. He was protective by nature of all that he loved including Tatyana and her people even if he didn’t agree with them or follow him. I liked reading about his family relationships and hope that his brother Auggie gets his story told. Tatyana on the other hand yes she was doctor had almost a naïve quality to her especially in dealing with Robbie and the bite of a werewolf which I totally found adorable. So even in a world constantly in a war it’s nice to see and read a character that still can find beauty in a world that truly isn’t. I did wonder about her cousin Gordon though and also hope he gets a story too. This is one author I feel bad for not reading earlier I do plan to get the rest in the series and more of Ms. Royce’s books plus can highly recommend for fantasy/science fiction, paranormal romance lover.

This is a magnificent read! I have enjoyed reading Dragon Wars series by Rebecca Royce. I love reading the book three in this series you get acquainted with all the awesome characters from before and the characters in this series are amazing, powerful, exhilarating and full of surprises. I was captivated from the first page to the last page. Always is Fantastic! I love Rebecca Royce's books and I originally read this one when it was part of the 'Romancing the Wolf' Anthology. I absolutely loved it then. Ms Royce has add more to the story so the reader will be able to treat this book as a standalone
'Dr Tatyana Knox is stitching up Robert Owens and his team of elite werewolves for the second time within a year. She has been kind of obsessed, she feels drawn to him. She has watched them on camera for most of her life as the cameras are placed everywhere.
Robbie Owens and his wolf felt like they have met his mate . But the problem is he can't remember who she is. Robbie Owen has been busy fighting dragons. But in the back of his mind he is wondering what happened to his libido, he hasn't wanted sex in a year.
Tatyana is one of the last humans left on the planet. She has been preparing to go to another planet with her team in about five days, but she hasn't felt well for about a year but she doesn't know why? Except they have been using these drugs that helped heal the werewolves but there is a side effect that has prevented the wolves from remembering what was happening. Except this time Robbie wakes up and remembers Tatyana.
This book three is full of surprises but Is a magnificent read. I'm excited and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend the Dragon Wars series to everyone who likes a action packed paranormal romance.

I love Rebecca Royce's books and I originally read this one when it was part of the 'Romancing the Wolf' Anthology. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend the Dragon Wars series to anyone who likes a terrific action packed paranormal romance.
'Always' is the third book in the fantastic Dragon Wars series by Rebecca Royce and I was hooked from the first page to the last. 'Always' is just as compelling as the previous two books, but it is a lighter paranormal romance, with hope, laughter, lots of action and a few steamy bits as well as the HEA.
Dr Tatyana Knox can't believe she's stitching Robert Owens and his team of elite werewolves up again for the second time in a year. She has watched on the cameras placed everywhere there are wolves for most of her life and she thinks she has an obsession for Robert. She is drawn to him like no other, but she has to wipe his memory of her and her people.... again....

I must say I do believe so far I like this one the best. Now that more of what is going on has been laid out with story this one is meaty with a good deal of heat. I also like about know that the humans have come out because the wolves are not able to be duped time and again. Robbie begins it though when he is in grave danger thanks to a dragon with Tatyana not able to not do nothing. As she is with him more and more of their story is told and her fascination for him which has developed more. Being humans by now are rare in revealing themselves with here they are a myth per say her emotions she does not digest as easily. Regardless too even if he denies it they want him as alpha because of the respect the wolves have for him. DNA is a big factor in here with when things progress it will effect her. Without letting to much out of the bag this is quite fascinating story that will have you caught up with them fighting along with them against the dragons. There will be quite a few turning points in this with explosive action at the end plus remember the heat is not forgotten. It just isn't with the dragons Robbie and Tatyana create plenty of their own.

I thought that it was well written and a very creative story which I enjoyed reading. The author brings her characters to life and they are captivating that once you start reading you can't stop until you finish.
This story has gripping surprises, unexpected surprises, engaging characters and even sensual romance. Robbie (Robert) Owens is a powerful wolf shifter that is in charge of an Elite Unit that destroys dragons that plague the land and for that reason they ( the Unit members) must be thought of dead to their families so they can be protected from any danger. Tatyana Knox is a human Doctor and one of the few that is left on the planet. She also happens to be Robbie's mate. Secretly Tatyana has been watching out for the wolves for years and protecting them from death and then she always gives them a drug so they don't remember her. Wow humans do really like to play God! Of course we suck at it and found yet another way to annihilate ourselves. Third in the Dragon Wars series but can be read alone (although I REALY suggest reading Forever and Eternal first as there is crossover and they are GREAT books). I hate to spoil to much but this is a truly awesome story with equally awesome characters; at its heart is a love story, born from war and long ago made “mistakes” Robert (Robbie) Owens is a werewolf in the elite forces of the Dragon Wars, long ago having given up on finding a mate or ever even living to see the end of the war, he sees his end when attacked by a dragon and has an artery nicked. To his surprise he wakes up in an infirmary looking at his mate. Even more surprisingly his mate is human and it’s not the first time they have met, even though he does not remember it! Robert and Tatyana have a lot to overcome to be together (dragons, her impending exodus, interspecies issues, death and loss) can they do it? I definite must read! Five plus stars *****+

Given to me for an honest review. Since this book is #3, Ms Royce has added backstory so the reader will be able to treat this book as a standalone. I found that to be true. There are dragons who want to kill the werewolves on this planet. There are also humans who have hidden themselves so they can study the werewolves. I find that the Prologue isn't very useful to me in understanding what is going on. Perhaps, it is because I haven't read the first 2 books, Forever and Eternal. There is a team of werewolves who fight the dragons and collect the humans' books in the caves. The werewolves are hoping to understand the books so they can kill the dragons. The few humans left take the injured werewolves to repair their injuries. They used drugs that helped heal the werewolves that also has the side effect that prevented them remembering what was happening. Except this time Robbie woke up and told Taty he had seen her before. He convinces Taty to tell him about her and the others. She injects him again. Will Robbie remember her when he wakes?

In this book, elite werewolf Robbie Owens finally finds his mate, Tatyana Knox, and she just happens to be a human, who he believed didn’t even exist. These two have so many obstacles to overcome if they want to be together, not the least of which being the fact that all the humans are supposed to leave the planet soon. Can Robbie convince her to stay? I found these characters, although paranormal, to be very real and complex and multi-faceted. I was hooked right from the beginning and was totally invested in the characters’ lives. I couldn’t help but root for Robbie and Tatyana. Overall, I found this book to be captivating, impassioned, intriguing, sensual, absorbing, romantic, and completely enthralling. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a compelling and sexy read.

I have read the other two stories about his brothers and it was great to meet Robbie. This one really changes everything in the series.
Humans were supposed to be gone but Robbie discovers the secret of their survival. He has been getting some help and it turns out she is his mate. It puts her in a difficult position to want to help him and yet complete her mission as expected.
Robbie is tough and determined and won't let anything get in his way. Tatyana is very compassionate and wants to do what is right even if it places her at risk. There attraction is very intense from the first meeting.
I really enjoyed all the books in the series and recommend it to those who like shifter romances.

This story is set in a time were humans have messed with DNA making werewolves and dragons. The dragons were one of the main reasons humans left earth but not all left. A handful stayed behind to try and help when and if they could.
Robbie Owens is the head of a team of werewolves that are fighting to keep the dragons of killing them all. They also spend time hunting for the clues are to why the humans dissapered 100's of years ago.
Really cool concept. I love the twists in this storyline and the action. I haven't read any of the other books in the series and had no trouble picking the book up and enjoying it.

Robert is the commander in the elite team of werewolf soldiers tasked with the job of killing dragons. Tatyana is a human doctor and no one thought existed anymore. Robert finds his mate in Tatyana and together they will make a huge difference in the Dragon War. This book was amazing. It was fast paced and exciting and although it is book 3 in the series, you can read this as a standalone. But be warned, you will go back to read the other books in the series and those yet to come out. I think this addition to the Dragon Wars is my favorite and I can't wait to read August's story. I think he's my favorite of the brothers.

I'm not a big fan of wolf shifters and dragons to begin with and I'm still not. This book had great potential. The storyline was good. The humans going to another planet leaving the wolves and the dragons left behind to battle their war.
The human in this case falls for the wolf and is his intended mate. They need to find a way to destroy the dragons and have her not go to the other planet her family and the rest of the human race are waiting for her to go to.
I've read other books by this author and this one has to be my least favourite.

Received the book for an honest review. Always is book 3 in the Dragon Wars series. The story is about Robbie and Tatyanna. Robbie and his twin brother August are part of an elite werewolf team that are tasked to kill the dragons. Tatyanna is a human scientist that tracked and studied the werewolves. All humans had left the planet except for Tatyana and her crew. They stayed behind to help the werewolves fight the dragons, but their time on the planet is almost over. As faith would have it Robbie has finally met his mate and she is human. Together they find hope, love and always.

If you like a little Science Fiction with your paranormal shifters and this is for you. Miss Royce has done a good job and bringing the world of Robert and Tatiana to life. They are a race of wolves who are created from Human intervention.
Even though this book is only about 95 pages long Miss Royce managed to pack enough information to keep the story interesting look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This was a short fun read, the third in the series but stood on its own. Robert is a werewolf in the middle of a war with dragons. His race is at stake. He comes close to death but is saved by Tatyana, a human. Surprised to find out his mate is a human, especially since humans are gone from the planet, Robert is determined to remember their meeting and to claim her. I enjoyed this story and recommend it.
