Wednesday (stand-alone novella) is a steamy great in-between tale about two friends meeting in secret for some off-the-charts sex against walls and furniture. It’s a mixture of forbidden romance, friend’s little sister and friends to lovers.
Since losing his wife Shaw Denton just needs this release to blow off some steam. Chloe cannot help but to be there for her friend, hehe. One orgasm after another.
But it has been eight months since Shaw’s wife passed. How long can they keep up this clandestine affair? And what happens if they are discovered in this small seaside town where everyone knows everyone?

This was a very unconventional twist on the friends-to-lovers/in love with the big brothers best friend tropes. There is an enormous amount of steam packed into this super sexy novella. I was hooked from the very first page and found myself in need of an icy cold shower or two. This book is sure to set you on fire!!
Chloe and Shaw have been best friends since childhood. They grew up on the tiny island of Marathon which is right off the Florida Keys. When we meet the two of them, Shaw has just suffered a tremendous loss in his life. His wife of a year was killed in a car accident and Shaw seems to be utterly shattered. He turns to Chloe for comfort and what that entails is some hard and fast sex in his bathroom immediately following his wife’s funeral. Chloe has harbored a crush on Shaw for so many years and is torn between feeling elated over what they’ve just shared and also feeling extreme guilt because she knows that Shaw is grieving over the loss of his wife and thinks she may be taking advantage of the situation.
The incident in the bathroom turns out to become a regular occurrence on every Wednesday evening. They have the most incredible sex of their lives together and it’s definitely the highlight of their week, but as time passes Chloe is realizing she wants so much more with Shaw. But she doesn’t think she is anything more than a hot roll in the hay to him.
Shaw decided after his wife’s death that he would never be tied down to one woman again and yet the only woman he’s been with or even wants is Chloe. Their sexual encounters start to occur more frequently but when Chloe starts to date other men, Shaw becomes insanely jealous and questions what has been building between them. Wednesday was a short read (novella sized) but it really packed a punch. Not only was it super steamy, but very emotional as well. The storyline was intriguing and I love that I got the feels along with everything else!
Chloe’s childhood best friend, Shaw, lost his wife in an automobile accident. She wants to be there for him in any way she can… but it seems the only way he needs her to console him is sexually.
I love forbidden love stories. Wednesday had that. It also had a touch of brother’s best friend (even though they were best friends, Shaw was also close to Chloe’s brother, Jason). I loved the twist with this one. I thought this was an interesting idea for a story and loved the direction it took by the end.
If you’re looking for a fast paced, emotional and steamy read, pick this one up! It only took me a little over an hour to read and I enjoyed it.

Most days I felt like I was trying to find answer to the question: how far would you go to be there for your best friend?There is so much more between Chloe and Shaw than just sex, but for a while, that's what Shaw needs. He feels terrible. He knows he’s using Chloe, but his feelings run deep for her as well. I rooted for this couple so hard. Even though this was a short one, you could really feel their connection (due to that fact that they were always best friends and really cared for one another).

And this is where I say goodbye to Kendall Ryan’s books…
I admit, I was hesitant to pick up this one, considering my first experience with this author's work, The Gentleman Mentor, was extremely ugly. But this book’s blurb sounded promising enough for me to give it a go, and look what happened to me after finishing this one! I was upset! It was a letdown. I expected heartbreaking drama and impressive ending, sadly I got none. It turned out to be a plain, bland, unpleasant, and irritating story.
Shaw is an asshole. He should be rotten in his miserable confusion forever. I was so annoyed with his weakness. I don’t understand why he couldn’t let go of what his wife did. Why he couldn’t move on with his life. It was one thing if his wife had still been alive, but she was dead! I felt like he still held a grudge against her though she was long gone.
Chloe wasn't any better than Shaw. I had to give her a round of applause for staying strong in her doormat position throughout the entire story. Seriously?! She let him use her as a fuck buddy for eight months. But most of all, her attitude towards herself totally rubbed me the wrong way. She thought she was a bad guy who took advantage of him when he was at his weakest. Oh come on! He was the only one who dragged her into the bathroom and f**ked her senseless, and after that he came to her place every Wednesday to have sex with her for two hours. Yuck! This was stupid!
Honestly, before I reached the 50% mark, I thought this one was far better than The Gentleman Mentor and I had some hope it would be my 4 stars read. But when I was at 68%, I started to feel unsure about the stars. And at 85%, my rage knew no bounds—there was nothing I wanted more than to kick Shaw in the head. The reason behind this Wednesday sex ritual was unacceptable and unforgivable! It was disgusting. I thought THIS was bad enough, but damn, what I found in the epilogue was the final straw—they created a charity in his late wife’s name. WTF!
*Sorry for my ranting.
However, this book was short enough that it took little time to finish it. If you are looking for hot sex, you’ll definitely get hot sex from this short story.
This is just my personal liking. Please don’t let my review discourage you from reading this one.

I liked parts of the story but I felt like Shaw was using Chloe and I didn't find it romantic. I get that people grieve differently but he strung his best friend along for too long. I enjoyed Shaw's dirty talk but even I felt abandoned after he was done and walked out. He was a jerk in some instances even if I don't feel it was intentional. Shaw's revelation and subsequent heart to heart with Chloe felt rushed. I wish we could've seen them grow more as an official couple. Other than that, it's a quick sexy read. Safety: They date other people though neither does anything physical with them. No sharing. They use condoms. Neither is a V. No rape/abuse.

Nothing beats getting an unexpected/unplanned release from one of your go to authors. When I see Kendall is releasing a new book I am all about reading it. Her stories are comfortable for me, if that makes sense. The are sexy, fun, light reads that put a big happy smile on my face.
Chloe and Shaw are best friends, but over the past few months their relationship has changed. Shaw’s wife died and what started out as a mistake, a one time hookup has turned into more. On the night of his wife’s funeral he finds himself sleeping with Chloe while trying to gain comfort.
Chloe reminded me of so many girls, in love with her best friend and willing to do anything to make the pain go away. And honestly willing to do anything to have even a piece of the person she loves. I really understood that, but I didn’t really understand Shaw at first.
The story really starts after this arrangement has been going on for four months. At this point Chloe is realizing this isn’t really good for either one of them. He needs to really grieve, heal and move on and she needs to give-up on someone who will never see her as more than a friend.
I love the premises for this story and in the end I really liked both characters. Call me greedy, but I just wanted a little more. I wanted more time with them together. I wanted to really feel his love for Chloe. I didn’t feel a connection to the characters like I normally do, but this book is intended to be quick it isn't a full length novel. That being said, this one is perfect for when you want something sexy and quick.

This was my first from Kendall Ryan and I liked it. I heard before that her books are hot and angsty and it's all here but it also had an emotional part that I liked. Overall, short and steamy but will also keep you on your toes while rooting for the main characters to be together. Pretty decent for an afternoon reading. If you need a quickie in your book life then I recommend.

Wow what an engaging, fast paced and intriguing story. "Wednesday" was a short novella, but was still packed full of drama, intrigue, charm and steam. Kendall Ryan certainly knows how to achieve something powerful and strong in only a short amount of pages.
"Wednesday" is a “friends to lovers” story between Shaw, who was grieving the loss of his wife and Chloe, who has been in love with Shaw her whole life. They’ve grown up together and been the best of friends.
“I used her to chase away the darkness. To forget the pain and regrets and guilt that swam, unchecked, inside me. And worse than that? I had no plans to stop.”
During the funeral of Shaw’s wife, Chloe allows him to use her for sex in a way to comfort and support him in the only way she knows how. She was such a strong and powerful woman and I don’t want to give too much away, because this story is definitely worth the read.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a quick smutty fix, with a lot of hot steamy scenes and a beautiful story, with incredible character development. It was such a captivating, heart-warming story that made me feel all warm and fuzzy at the end.

2.5 Wednesday Sexytime Stars
Every Wednesday since that night, it was like clockwork. Shaw always found his way to my door and I always said yes, letting him fuck me however he desired.
First things first, this book is short. Like, 30ish% of the kindle locations short. While normally the quickies don't bother me, this book expected a lot from the reader in what I felt was too little reading time.
Shaw and Chloe, best friends since childhood, find comfort in each other after Shaw looses his wife to a drunk driver. While Shaw uses Chloe's body to find comfort and solace once a week, Chloe's realized too late she's in love with Shaw.
Wednesday is told from a first person dual POV which I appreciate. Without Shaw's voice the only thing offered would've been Chloe's inner ramblings on how strongly she felt about Shaw. How much she loved him. How he was still hurting and how the righteous, kiss-free once a week sex is how she can best help him. If only she felt comfortable asking Shaw where they stood?
Despite the length of the book, that got old pretty quick. We're told these two were best friends but it's not evident from the story itself. No cute flashbacks, no moments of levity between them present day. By the end all I was left with were two supposed friends hooking up and feeling bad about it. I normally enjoy Kendal Ryan but this one fell short of 3 stars for me.

I can’t fucking believe a woman wrote that shit.
One of the worst books I have ever read.
Shawn was married for like two years when his wife died. She died on a Wednesday in a car accident. Four days later during his funeral he fucks Chloe, his (ex) best friend since childhood. They were not very close anymore because his wife didn’t like their friendship and he was trying to be a good husband (asshole)
Shawn always had girlfriends while Chloe was always single (she did have sex). They were each other first kiss but nothing more ever happened until his wife died.
After the funeral where she tried offering going outside for fresh air but he took her to the bathroom instead and fucked her saying shit like “please, I need it” he started going to her house every single Wednesday to fuck her. They keep it a secret because his wife’s body is barely cold and he has no intention in more than a fuck. He arrives at her house, fucks her but no kissing (he only kissed her the first time) and then he left.
Ohh our magnificent hero asks our strong heroine to take care of his wife’s belongings even though he is fucking her every week he only cares about his “needs” not once consider the fact he is fucking with Chloe’s head. I loath him
She is always saying that for whatever he needs she is there even though she loves him and recently recognized that she had always loved him hence the reason she never liked his girlfriends and bla bla bla. She is a TOTAL DOORMAT. PATHETIC. WEAK. SECOND BEST

She goes on a date too but she doesn’t even try to move on she makes women look bad it’s ridiculous. She goes out with a guy who is only there for a month bc of his work. Dipshit is jealous and I couldn’t possible care less about his emotions. They fuck again and he needs to fuck her hard so she remember him and the fact only him fucks her hard like that 🤢🤬

Shawn was married for like two years when his wife died. She died on a Wednesday in a car accident. Four days later during his funeral he fucks Chloe, his (ex) best friend since childhood. They were not very close anymore because his wife didn’t like their friendship and he was trying to be a good husband (asshole)
Shawn always had girlfriends while Chloe was always single (she did have sex). They were each other first kiss but nothing more ever happened until his wife died.
After the funeral where she tried offering going outside for fresh air but he took her to the bathroom instead and fucked her saying shit like “please, I need it” he started going to her house every single Wednesday to fuck her. They keep it a secret because his wife’s body is barely cold and he has no intention in more than a fuck. He arrives at her house, fucks her but no kissing (he only kissed her the first time) and then he left.

Wednesday is a tale of two forbidden lovers coming together in one of their's time of need. When Shaw lost his wife he lost his way also. He doesn't know how to move on in the small tourist town that keeps reminding him of what he's now missing. To relieve his stress he starts an affair with his best friends little sister, who's also his friend, Chloe. Wednesday's are their night. Their night to forget, to live, to just let go and feel. But Chloe has been hiding her crush on him since she was young, and now that she's finally got him in her bed she's not sure she wants to ever let him leave.
This book had it all, the friends little sister, the friends to lovers, and the sexy as hell affair. I mean, of course I would want to read it. And I wasn't disappointed. I loved the connection that Chloe and Shaw had and getting to see both of them try, unsuccessfully, to fight it. They were both great characters, and together they were even better,
The only thing I had a problem with was how fast the ending came. It seemed a little rushed, which seems to happen a lot with novella's, but it kind of ruined the ending for me. I liked how it all came together, I just wish it took a little more time to get to that finish.
Overall, I would recommend this story for anyone that want a fast and sexy read. It didn't take me long at all to finish so it was a nice little afternoon break. Trust me when I say that Shaw is someone you want to meet.

Kendall Ryan writes amazing sex.
But that's about all I can say about this.
The characters are cardboard and the story is... practically nonexistent. Shaw pretty much used Chloe as his personal sex toy for the entire book and then when she started dating a nice boy he decided to pee on her leg and get all macho.
I'm confused about the sexy times though - I don't know if they were safe or not. I guess if I have to ask if they were safe, I can assume that they weren't? Because at the start of the story Chloe says something about cum dribbling down her leg, but then at a later point in the book condoms are mentioned. I guess it could be her cum dribbling down her leg, but I don't know? Am I focusing on this too much? Or should I be focusing on how Shaw didn't love his dead wife, she was cheating on him and yet he sets up a charity in her name in the epilogue? THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

5 Saucy Stars
Kendall Ryan books are my guilty pleasure. EVERYTIME I pick up her reads, it’s always saucy, fun and I’m ALWAYS satisfied when I’m finished. You will be instantly hooked within the first chapter of Wednesday.
Shaw is a complicated man. He’s wife just died and he’s handling it the best way he can. By using his best friend Chloe and he uses her every Wednesday. I love a complicated hero. I love how tortured and selfish Shaw was. It was delicious to read the way he treated Chloe. But don’t you fret, Shaw isn’t a bad guy, he just has issues and Chloe wants to be the one to fix him.
Chloe is an adorable character. I found her really strong, caring and the kind of girl you root for in books. She cares for Shaw and just wants her best friend to get better, but it’s hard because Shaw is very closed off. Shaw and Chloe have this explosive relationship. He uses Chloe and Chloe is okay with that because she believes she’s helping him and she also can’t say no to him. Shaw and Chloe’s chemistry was tension filled and hot, yes to the steamy scenes.
I really do love the storyline in this book. I found Wednesday really unique and to my surprise a fast pace read. I felt like I got to the heart and meat of the story and there was zero fluff. Shaw may not be the best Hero, but he has heart. I love his crazy attachment towards Chloe. Yes, he uses her, but he still cares for her, even if he doesn’t outwardly show it and that’s the kind of stuff I love to read in books. Shaw is dominate, the super alpha male you want to have his way with you.
Overall, I couldn’t put down Wednesday. It was different, it was spicy and I loved the main characters. Another Kendall Ryan win for me!

3 'Wednesdays' Stars!
I got this as a freebie (I think it still is!) and I decided to read it right away! I do find it's difficult to pack so many aspects in such a short story and I think Wednesday did pretty good. Shaw and Chloe are definitely hot together but I also have to say the whole behavior of both of them at the beginning kind of ruined part of their chemistry later for me.
Still, I enjoyed the reading experience and I am glad these two got their happy ever after at the end!

I believe this is the first book I've read from Kendall Ryan. I'm not entirely sure why but when I checked out this book blurb (and the book cover pant pant) I couldn't resist giving it a try.
Shaw and Chloe have been best friends since childhood but that's all they've been- aside from him teaching her how to kiss in those early tween years. Now they're grown and out of college working in their family-owned resort businesses in the Florida Keys. Then Shaw finds himself a widower at the hands of a drunk driver. Thrown into a world of grief and feeling completely out of control, he turns to Chloe for an escape...for release.
Chloe is willing to do just about anything for Shaw. She's loved him for years but he belonged to someone else. Until now. He needs her, even if it's all just physical. Every Wednesday he comes to her door. Hard, hot and rough is the way he likes it and she gives him what he needs. Her heart be damned.
I wanted him to heal. I wanted him to be okay. And for those few hours every week, if he could lose himself in me, I was only too happy to oblige.
I must say this book was sizzling. My first impression of Shaw was not good

Este es un Friends to lovers que si fuera más largo el libro me hubiera gustado más porque le faltó más desarrollo de como empezaron a ser fuck Friends y no que me lo contaron mediante un flash back y aparte que me cortaran la escena.
Y luego todo sucedió bastante rápido pero también así de rápido se lee, lo recomiendo para leer entre lecturas pesadas o cuando no tienes nada que leer.

I like both main characters in this book. Shaw is handsome and a bit intense. I am a little vague at the beginning why he did what he did with Chloe. Is it his way of dealing? To seek solace? Or is it the attraction he always felt for her? Maybe it’s all the above?
Chloe is sweet and caring, probably caring for her best friend’s well being more than her own. She wants to comfort Shaw even if it kills her spirit in the process. But I think they love each other way before they even recognize it. It was unfortunate that Shaw’s wife died but everything is as it should be. And sometimes it takes almost losing someone to recognize your true feelings for one another.
I really like the setting of the story – a small coastal town. I imagine it being peaceful (except for the high tourist seasons) where everyone knows everyone else. Life seems relaxed and slow, even people working sounds fun. I would have loved to have a longer epilogue but overall this is a short book. Not to worry, good things come in small packages though – this story is full of feels – angsty, heart-pounding love, forgiveness and a whole lot of sexiness.
Overall, beautiful writing, gorgeous love story with loads of sexy times. This book brings Hump Day (Wednesday) to a whole new level you all. READ IT!!!
