Have you ever looked back on your life and thought "If I hadn't made this one decision, things may have been so different?" This is Sky's moment. After losing her parents two years ago, Sky left all she knew behind and moved to LA to chase her dream of becoming a singer. Her new roommate, Sadie, quickly became her best friend and although things aren't going as she had dreamed, she is content. One night Sadie stubbornly insists that Sky visit Club Thrive, an already established club with new ownership, a single, hot guy, where Sadie's boyfriend, Jonah, works. Thank goodness for Sky that Sadie won't take no for an answer. Upon their eyes meeting for the first time, you can actually hear things click into place for Logan and Sky.
The connection is there and immediate. Even though neither of them take a step towards anything more that night, they can't stop thinking about the other. Logan makes his move and though hesitant, Sky accepts and they have a great date. Logan is determined to take things slow so as not to spook Sky with how much he's already feeling towards her. Sky isn't sure what to think about this though as she's never experienced anyone quite like Logan.
Once they both realize, and accept, they want to see where this leads and that their connection is intense, we quickly realize how much they have in common, how hot their chemistry is, and that they're both vulnerable, albeit in different ways. Yes, Logan and Sky are perfect for each other, but both are far from being perfect. This less than perfect aspect, while expected because there is no perfect human being, leads to some misunderstandings. One was pretty easy to remedy as Sky warned Logan from the beginning that she wasn't good at relationships and had been known to sabotage some in her pasts out of an emotional fear when they were going well, so he recognized when it happened and was able to quickly call her on it and they talked it out. The other however, Logan overreacted and while it was understandable due to his experience with a past girlfriend, it was an embarrassing shock in the workplace to Sky as he hadn't shared that previous heartbreak with her. Logan quickly realizes he screwed up, badly, and needs to fix things right away. They're both miserable without each other after only a day apart, but it does help them realize how much they want to be together. Thankfully they're able to work things out after talking things through, some groveling, and a heartfelt demonstration on Logan's part.
Things are going great in their personal lives and they couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, their professional lives are experiencing some issues as Logan learned an employee was stealing from him and wasn't happy about being fired and arrested. As for Sky, as much as she hates it, she's used to customers grabby after some drinks. She quickly handles one such situation and figures that's the end of that as has been the case in the past. This time though, it's different and now Sky is living in fear from a stalker.
Will Logan and Sky embrace their HEA? Will they both be able to let go of their reservations due to past experiences? Will Logan's former employee continue to be a problem? Will Sky's stalker fade away or will he take things to a dangerous level, endangering Sky's life? Who is behind the incidents that keep plaguing Logan and Sky? The former employee, the stalker, or both? Will Sky realize she's ready to chase a new dream? What does the future hold for Logan and Sky? For Jonah and Sadie? Will we get to see Shane, Logan's employee, and Katie's, Sadie and Sky's friend, relationship unfold? *cough cough ahem ahem Alison...blinks innocently*

This is a great story and as is always the case with this author's work, I was sucked in. I figured I'd read a few chapters before falling asleep then finish the next day. *I was wrong...did you read that in Ron White's voice? That's how I wrote it. LOL* At 2am I had to force myself to close the book and go to bed. It was hard to say good-bye, even temporarily, as I needed to know what was going to happen next. I had quickly become invested in these characters and their stories. Even now, as I'm writing this review, the book is still playing in the back of my mind. That, to me, is the sign of a great book. I've been a fan of Alison's since her debut book and it's been a wonderful experience watching her grow into herself and find her voice. I'm looking forward to the next story and I just know I'll love it too.
