Since I was a little girl, I’ve made up stories. I would lay in my bed at night and before I knew what a trope was, I would make up these trope filled stories. Boy sees girl, boys falls for girl, boy saves girl….happily ever after. As I got older, the stories turned steamier and more intricate, but the basics never changed.

Now, my books are still full of romance but the naughty bits are naughtier, my hero’s are obsessed alpha types and my heroines are quirky, real women who come in all shapes and sizes.

So, sit back, banish the real world and get lost in some over the top romance with a heaping helping of hot. xoxoxo

Sexy as sin Cowboy meets damaged but lovable part time waitress. A plethora of caveman like MINE MINE MINE follows, with a good deal of hot sexy times. Throw is a miniscule amount of angst, and you pretty much have the whole plot...

description

description
Now I’m going to tear the rest of your clothes off, Dove.” I don’t give her any time to take that in, spinning her around throwing her onto the bed and tugging her boots off, then tearing away her jeans so they turn inside out as I free them from her hips. The hips that will bear my children one day Yes, that’s right, I’m that far gone. And she’s soon going to realize that nothing’s going to come between my seed and her womb."
description

I enjoyed this one, but I didn't love it. I spent basically the whole book (except for the 3 or 4 pages of angst we got) thinking "Aww how sweet is this book." and waiting for SOMETHING to happen. Everything was just so easy, and sweet, and smooth sailing. Finally when the sh!t hit the fan I was "YES" bring it on. Except, it basically fizzled into nothingness, and we went right back to the sweet as sugar smooth sailing gig. So like I said, it wasn't a BAD read (lord knows I have read worse) but it certainly wasn't anything to "WOW" over like a 13 year old at a Bieber concert. Props to the author though for including not one, but TWO epilogues. They seem to be sadly lacking in a lot of books recently...

So...before I start writing this review let me just explain some of the things that you might see in my review, such as terrible spelling mistakes, poor judge of character and so on. Well...here's the thing. I blame it all on my three hours of sleep, since I stayed up so late to finish this book. It's all your fault book! Look what you did to me, making me so hyped up to read you and now look at me! Am a walking freaking zombie. Shame on you, SHAME ON YOU!!!

description

But seriously, all jokes aside, I liked the story! It's an insta lust/love story for Chad and Rachel, or as Chad likes to call her his Dove, she's not that far behind from developing feelings for him. You could say she is the 'normal' teenage girl who falls for the guys charms. Chad on the other hand, he's broody and bossy and just a man who knows what he wants from the get go. His POV is so fun to read, he's got the alpha act down to the t! God help anyone who looks at his woman in a wrong way. There is one scene, more at the beginning, where that side of him comes to life like a hurricane and I loved every second of it. The hero is so completely gone for his girl, it's sometimes hard to believe what his thoughts are like. He's a hot piece I wouldn't mind taking a bite off. And don't even get me started on his animal lover side. Just, too perfect, really. Thank you writers for making such great book Boyfriends that we can't ever find in real life. It's the small tings that count in life, right, right?
Now, as for Rachel. She comes of as this timid mouse but with moments where she's the cat and her pray is the mouse. I have mixed feelings about her. I don't know if I liked her enough to deserve Chad or if I just simply didn't care that much for her character. I don't know, so don't hate me. I'm sleep deprived, damn it! Anyway, yeah...but I did love her aunt, she's a cool persona for her age (not that she's that old or anything). but I didn't like Chad's friend, 'the manwhore' as I like to call him. I just felt nothing likable about him, especially after the first scene. Yuck...

The plot is great, flow is kinda also great but the pacing and some scenes...well...this is not a short book (over 200 pages), so it's safe to say some things I could have gone without. At times it almost bored me to read about things that had little importance to the story as a whole. But everything besides that was quite enjoyable.

Welcome to the Extreme Smut Olympics

***3.5 Stars***

Look, I’m all for a hero that’s possessive, crazy in love and devoted but this guy is EXTREME. If there was an Extreme Smut Olympics, Chad Butler would be a gold medal contender. What makes this Smutlete (athlete) unique is that he’s been out of the competition for five years. Chad’s been taking a rest from Smutting (competing) and using his skills to calm fillies, foals and thoroughbreds. So, coming back into contention with a shaky preparation means he is single-minded in his focus but needing a few run-ups to get to the finish line. Luckily, Chad has confidence in abundance and never allowed his body to lose its game-day readiness, especially as he is competing at such a high level of competition. Another attribute to set this Smutlete apart from the rest is his complete knowledge of Smutocabulary (vocabulary). If I’m not mistaken, he may have even contributed some new entries into the Smutictionary (dictionary).

All smut jokes aside…this story was WAY, WAY OTT!! But…that's sort of the reason why we read these kinds of books. We get a kick out of love at first sight. We can’t help but snigger when they’re claiming “MINE” 5 minutes after meeting the love of their life. We also might get a wee bit flushed and breathless when the big beast of a man picks up his very curvy woman like she’s light as a feather and proceeds to give her the business up against a wall.

Wrangler is full of cheesy lines and a plot that I could predict within the first couple of chapters. I kind of knew when I started Wrangler that I was getting a smutfest and in that regards, I was not disappointed. What did reduce my ratings a little was the extreme smuttiness got to a level of cringeworthy and the storyline was a little too formulaic. These are just my opinions, though.

If you’re looking for a contender in the Extreme Smut Olympics, I definitely suggest giving Wrangler a go.

IT'S LIVE EARLY!!!

Seems I couldn't be happier in Cowboyland!!!! Along with AR's delicious Cowboy, here was the absolute PERFECT H in the form of a HOT, filthy talker, OTT obsessed Alpha Cowboy!!! Chad was all that and more!!! He never once lost sight of his price, and like a good cowboy tied her up to him in EVERY delicious way he could!!! Totally swoon worthy as much as panty obliterator!!! The farthest from a manwhore, he is a man who values women and respects relationships, and cherishes his woman like the unique and precious thing that she is. There was only one woman for him. Rachel instantly became the center of his universe!
This was one fantastic full length smutty novel RIDE!!! The couple balanced each other in every way, and brought us from the sweetest to the hottest scenes, in the most beautiful way!
Wrangler is a definitive MUST READ!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Ok so I loved the beginning. Hero was awesome, but maybe a bit too perfect. His obsession was pretty funny. Heroine was too insecure but not so bad as to make me dislike her. Heck for a good cowboy story, I will put up with almost anything!

Their first night was totally unbelievable but that works for me too.

But soon after the story lost momentum and by the time the small bit of conflict happens I am ready for it to be over. I skimmed some sex scenes and looked for the end. Epilogues were cute but just really 2 more sex scenes. I do not usually think books have too much sex, I just felt in this case one or two could have been sacrificed for a little story.

It was still enjoyable and super safe to read. Just not a book I was willing to sacrifice sleep to read.

THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING

5 plus stars for me here
The hero is just about the best hero ever. EVERYTHING he does or says is HOT AND SWEET. He is strong but he can still cry! That's it! Enough said here.
He is controlling like a Dom but without the whole pain aspect. He does everything to make her happy. I was just swooning here. I had to stop myself from drooling. He hits all the right spots and just the most awesome dirty talker without disrespecting her. Meaning no use of the words slut whore bitch here at all.

HE IS MY NEW BOOK HUSBAND HERE!

He calls her Dove but her name is Rachel and she calls him Wrangler but his name is Chad.
She is just about the most amazing person who loves and forgives. She is strong without being hard. I feel like she would nothing bad to say about a serial killer but she would never be stupid enough to invite that killer to tea.
She is kind not stupid! A heroine you can totally get behind.

Even the secondary characters here are just about the most amazing.

They are perfect for each other. So many great scenes here I don't know where to start so just read the book.
I don't want to ruin this book for anyone
Also, the epilogue 2.0 will now become my new top standard.
WOW JUST SO PERFECT I CANT EVEN TELL YOU HERE!
JUST READ THE BOOK!
Safe no cheating without OW/OM drama
Despite my apprehension in reading this book, I am glad I did.
I came into this book with the knowledge that some of the subject matter might be hard to read but it was mild and tastefully done. It was not so disturbing that ruined my enjoyment of the book.

Chad is a hot cowboy who is NOT a manwhore (celibate over 5 years). He's a filthy talker but he is also sweet and respectful. He comes home to Michigan after years in Oklahoma.

Rachel is a sweet heroine (probably one of the sweetest I've read) who has seen a lot of hard times in her 19 years. She has a hard time believing that someone like Chad is giving her the time of day.

-hot sexy filthy talking alpha cowboy
-sweet heroine
-very little pushing away (one incident she takes off but hero chases her and clears things up )
-smoking hot sex scenes
-absolutely no cheating
-no ow/om drama
-awesome epilogue that is definitely a HEA

We are gathered here today in loving memory of my heart and ovaries and also to bring comfort to the shell of a person they left behind.

They weren’t particularly religious beings, so it’s befitting that their funeral should reflect what they were… gentle, kind, loving, horny… devoted to the joys and pleasures of the person they left behind.

It’s only natural that we should be sad today, because in a practical sense, their person is no longer able to continue on lusting after the various men that can be found in the romance novels she so enjoyed. “We must die, we know” said a character in Shakespeare, ” tis but the time and drawing days out that men stand upon”, and so we all come to ponder the life and death of a truly wonderful organs; with confused and mixed feelings. Because as we stand here mourning the loss of these organs, we may also celebrate the fact that they died having found their one true book boyfriend, Chad Butler.

It may serve as some small comfort that heart and ovaries died a happy death, doing what they loved best, lusting after a fictional man. So while we gather here today in memory of these dearly departed essential organs we will also celebrate the existence of Chad Butler; the man, the cowboy, the legend. We must find our will to move on from this loss in his strong, yet surprisingly gentle, arms. We must find repose from our pain in his filthy words and serenity in his protective and possessive ways. We must all wish to have the courage this man showed in his singular obsession to make the woman of his dreams understand that she belonged to only him and perhaps we will all someday be lucky enough to again enjoy something as much as this man enjoyed eating pussy.

Fables through the ages have told of glorious deaths. What death can be more glorious than that of a heart crumbling from the romance that is so perfectly sweet, so perfectly beautiful and so perfectly intense? What better, more glorious death can be had by ovaries than that of exploding from extreme orgasms? What more could they ask for than the whispers of people saying: They died because they were turned on as fuck?

We have come together today from different places, and we are all at different stages on our journey through life. Our paths are varied and we look at life in different ways. But there is one thing we all have in common, at one point or another, and to some degree or other, we have all lusted after a cowboy. It is therefore my wish that all of you, every single one, will meet Chad Butler and experience the same level of intensity in your lustful feelings and the same kind ‘omg-i-just-saw-stars’ type of orgasm Chad Butler inspires.

When you turn the last page of Wrangler I hope that, like me, you will do so with a real sense of having shared in something special, for a very special man. But for the moment please remain seated whilst we all share a moment of quiet reflection on the life and death of heart and ovaries. Dead because they were turned on as fuck.

Laidback, sweet and hot romance set in a small town. The writing was really great - readable, intelligent, intuitive even! H was amazing, with the huge mountain-man vibe and he was all in for h from the first glance. Had some elements I don't like in romances So reducing rating for that.

~5 "You are mine" stars!!~

A very beautiful and sweet story, the author did a fantastic job delivering a novel with very lovable characters, enjoyable/playful dialogues and very hot explicit scenes.

Chad's monk life changed the moment he eyes caught the beautiful young waitress Rachel, the caveman inside him awoke and took action in claiming her. Fate was too kind and gave him not one but two lucky times to make his move. Sweet and innocent yet with very strong personality Rachel couldn't believe in her eyes the moment she saw the mountain man and was keep calling Chad in her head, she resisted at first.. a lot but eventually she gave in.

In addition to the very hot scenes. there is some action/suspense in it because danger alluring in Rachel's life and thank goodness she has a knight in shine armor to save and protect her. "Go Chad!" (Love this hero.. a lot his possessiveness is driving me crazy in a good way.) As you can see i loved it so i definitely recommend it and i'm looking forward to the next great creation the author will release.

3.5 overall stars. I really enjoyed this book, but I was bored towards the end. Super unrealistic, but the alpha hotness made up for that. I wish it had a little more substance... I'm sure I'll read more of her books in the future. Great guilty pleasure read!

3.5 stars. I really like the two MCs in this book along with the secondary characters. I adore insta-love stories and an alpha man that thinks, mine, mine, mine when he sees his heroine for the first time. The writing was good but I still wanted a little more. For the length of the book, I felt like certain parts of the storyline could have been fleshed out more. There could have been a bit more drama. For me to say that, you know it was a very sweet story. I don't mind sweet and I absolutely can't stand drama for the sake of drama but, this could've benefited from a bit more. I adored that we got two epilogues though. One was about a year out and the other was 15 years in the future. This is why I rounded up to 4 stars instead of 3. I totally appreciate an author that wraps things up nicely and lets us have a look into their future. I will definitely be reading more by this author.

Heroine (Rachel): 19yrs old – 4/5
Hero (Chad): 20s? – 4/5
Plot: 3/5
Grovel: none
Cheating: none
HEA: yes and great epilogues!
Triggers: child molestation

Average score: 3.5/5

Best Line: “Just like my Dove, I want to be part of every moment of my baby’s life. Everything. Good and bad.”

Worst Line: the ‘telling’ rather than ‘showing’

Personal Review:
This was a good romance between a cowboy/horse whisperer and a virgin. The writing style could be better but I’m not mad

Random Ramblings:
•Not a big fan of the h and H’s names
•Didn’t like Roger
•His parents story was so romantic
•I wasn’t sure what to make of the sex scenes considering the h’s past. At points I was questioning whether she was actually in physical pain
•I wish all romances had two epilogues

Dani Wyatt has done it again!!! Chad after being gone for years and then coming back and going out to the bar with his friend and waitress has him full blown stuck. Chad can't keep his eyes off Rachel love at first sight Chad knew he would do whatever to make Rachel his. Rachel's truck stops working and who shows up Chad ,helps her out more ways then one lol and Rachel is drawn to him too. Will Rachel trust Chad and give in to what her heart desires? Will Chad show Rachel how much she actually means to him? Hot sex, little drama and more hot sex!! Chad is straight up my new sexy alpha book boyfriend damn he's straight forward, sweetheart and doesn't care what anyone thinks believe me if your into Alpha men you will love this book! Rachel is a strong woman knows what she wants but needs to stop thinking so much about her appearance and enjoy life. 5/5 kinky, hot stars I received this book for a unbiased review

Steamy and sweet- a little too much insta-love but it was nice to read about a Hero who hasn't fucked every woman in town and has been celibate for 5 years. Add in a curvy heroine and a lot of steamy sex scenes and I was able to overlook a little ridiculousness.

I am more of a prude than I thought as this book made me pretty uncomfortable with the language (sexy/dirty talk) and the sex.

Mega case of insta-love on the part of the H, a cowboy who has come home after five years or so. He left home due to a family tragedy that essentially broke his father's heart. He's with his BF at a bar when he sees the h, apparently a voluptuous/plump little pigeon that wows him. This inta-love comes after five years of celibacy.

The h has had a horrible family background and youth. Bullied at school and practically sold out by her unprotective mother. She's living with her aunt now and life is better. She is very hesitant and shy around men and feels very unattractive. In high school, she was invited to a party as a joke and her date never showed up. Her BF makes an appearance and little is seen of her again as she made a nice foil to the heroine, but oh well. His BF and an evil chick pop in periodically as well.

The H and h jump into a relationship and he definitely goes all alpha male on her. Now this agenda can be great, but it made me so uncomfortable here as I felt her choices were taken from her. He's gentle, protective, blah, blah etc, but again all I can say I was not comfortable with the situation. I think part of it may be that the author wrote out the cowboy hero's character and inner monologues much better and in greater detail than the heroine. She's more of a blank slate.

I am not going to get into spoilers, but there is a dark side to the story that was disturbing.

P.S. I think part of my problem is that the blurb made it sound more light-hearted than it was.

LOVED THE BOOK!
If this is the kind of heroes Dani Wyatt writes, count me in as her fan.
Loved the alpha hero and loved, loved, loved how he was with the h and how h-centric he was.
The heroine was great too.

I would say this book is safe all the way so get your copy and read it.

4.5 Stars! So if you like a dirty talking, sexy cowboy who goes over the top possessive and will stop at nothing to get his HEA, than you you will love this novel.

"Wrangler" by author Dani Wyatt......A standalone novel.

**Note...There may be some triggers here for some readers regarding child abuse. This was something that occurred in the past though.**

Ok...before I continue with my review I want to mention this is the second book I read by this author. It won't be my last! I have to say thank you to my friends of Instagram because that was how I discovered this amazing novel of two people who were meant to love each other.

Chad Butler moves back to his home state after being away for the past five years. He left to isolate himself from the appalling crimes of his stepbrother. Now that he has returned he is hoping to set up a horse training business. Chad doesn't plan to add a woman to his plans either. It's not that he doesn't want to, it's because he doesn't believe his perfect woman exists. That is until his best friend drags him out to the local bar on his first night back in town. Chad is stunned by his reaction to a beautiful, curvy waitress. He feels instantly protective and not a little possessive. From that moment on, he vows to stop at nothing until he makes that gal his.

Rachel Sweeting moved from her hometown, and loser of a mother, several years ago to live with her Aunt Jessie. Aunt Jessie welcomed her to her home. She gave Rachel love and security as well as a place to call home. A true home. A safe home. Rachel never had that before. Especially the love. Rachel was so grateful to her aunt for freeing her from a horrific childhood. Rachel works at a local bar a few hours a week, waitressing. During her shift one night she discovers a handsome, bearded cowboy watching her. All night he watched her. At first Rachel was concerned by his attention but there was something about him that made her feel safe.

I won't spoil this story for you by giving too much away. There is a bit of angst and suspense that just adds to the charm of the story giving truth to the term "hero." There was definitely insta-love/lust however I didn't feel anything between Chad and Rachel was too rushed. Dani Wyatt did a fantastic job of giving us well-developed characters as well as fun and flirty dialogue. I just love a dirty talking' sexy, hot cowboy. I can't wait to read more by this author.

It was good, safe, with a martyr h and an OTT H, nice secondary characters. There were parts when I could not stop reading but also some lines were anticlimactic for me...
"The thought of her getting hurt only makes me want to fuck her harder"
Don't get me wrong, that doesn't happen often and there are hundreds of super sweet actions of the H towards the h. But the H thinking that while having sex with the h is not cool for me. I know, yesterday I gave 5 stars to a book that contains dubious consent BUT it wasn't a romance so my standards change. Sue me.

Oh, I specially loved the second epilogue

Wrangler is a bit syrupy sweet, a bit over-the-top alpha man, and a whole lot of sexy -- throw in an emotional rollercoaster and you've got a killer story and a couple that heats up the pages like there's no tomorrow. Dani Wyatt definitely knows what she's doing when it comes to insta-love. She gives just enough interaction and attraction to make the obsession feel natural verses forced. I could read her books all day long and still want more.

Rachel has had a rough go of things. Her childhood was wrought with neglect and abuse until her Aunt Jessie took her in and showed her how family should be. Even though she had it rough, she still managed to grow into a sweet, caring woman. Shy and obviously uncomfortable around men, but with her past that's understandable.

Chad's family was torn apart by his half-brother. The shame of his actions sent Chad to find his own path away from the stigma that follows his family name. Years later he comes home, ready to settle down and leave the past behind him. He never expects to meet his future on his first night in town.

I love Chad and Rachel as a couple. They compliment each other in the best ways. Their relationship is a testament to how something beautiful can come from something so ugly. Truly enjoyed their story and couldn't have asked for a better ending for them! Four Stars and Four Wet Panties!

Chad Butler has returned home after five years, his brother tainted his families good name and he is ready to go home. On his first day back he sees waitress Rachel Sweeting, he knows she is the one for him. Chad decides he is going to get his women, but she has a secretive past as well and when he finds out what it is it could destroy everything that they are building.

This was entertaining, had a few things that were added in but went nowhere. Overall I did enjoy this though, the chemistry is off the charts hot. Loved Chad, he is broody but so wonderful with Rachel. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

There was a lot of instalove, caveman fantasising, OTT acts of "mine" and innocent virgin insecurities going on in this story. It was exactly what I expected and exactly what I got. At times it got a little too OTT or boring so I skimmed through paragraphs without feeling like I was missing anything.

Told in dual POV and standalone story. 110% safe for those needing to know. Another McDonald's meal for Jewels, but not the fresh batch. It's the cold McDonald's with soggier and overly salted chips.

Dani Wyatt got me from book one. I have been a fan since the beginning and with each book that is released, she gets better and better. Her newest release was an amazing read that captivated and intrigued me the entire time. I devoured Wrangler, reading cover to cover before I came up for air. Much like the characters, I fell hard and fast for this love story.

Wrangler is a sexy, sweet, intense, passionate, and insta-love story that will tug at your heart and put a big ol' smile on your face. This book made me swoon, smile, laugh, and fall head over heels in love. When I was introduced to Rachel and Chad, it was an immediate connection. He is the perfect hero that make us fall hard and she is the girl that we root for.

Rachel is a small town country girl who is broken from her past. Chad is a country boy trying to shake the shame of his family. When these two collide, it is an instant connection. Chad wants the curvy brunette and will do anything to keep her. But when the past collides with the present, will they be able to keep their new found love? Or will it go up in flames?

I highly recommend this book!
