For June Bailey, life is all about meeting outlandish requests for her billionaire boss which includes keeping an eye on the woman's artsy, nomad nephew, Tucker Frost. June highly underestimates how difficult spending time with Tucker will be. Between his good looks, irresistible charm, and a way of helping her see the beauty beyond her check-list life style, she begins to lose herself in more than just his artwork. However, when the time comes for the wanderer to drift away once more, will their love be forced to comply with traditional goodbyes or will it be allowed to exist in freeform?
This book, OMG!!!! Tucker is such a wise human being that even he made me start thinking about life and the many beauties it holds!! There is many valuable lessons in this book and it's a MUST READ!!!
Cute. But I take some stars off for a grown man acting a little childish. The hero's relationship with his mother was an issue. Someone needed to tell him to get over himself. But otherwise it was a fun little story.
I really loved Tucker, I thought he was a great guy, tad bit possessive, but name one man who isn't, "I roll my body over to blanket hers once more. “I'm gonna be the only.” I really liked this book, June was Tucker's grounding point.
Good book, interesting story, funny characters ,nice flow and well written. Will probably add to my re-read pile. I would definitely recommend this book
This book is totally different to other love stories I have read, Tucker is the multimillionaire artist living of his income from his art hating the fact he has money, June is his aunts assistant tasked with keeping Tucker in the city for his moms wedding, Tucker hates his mom for reasons that are heartbreaking and you learn his past as the story unfolds. June is the clumsy straight laced responsible, girl that has kept her own family together through her mother’s illness, if she loses Tucker she loses her Job. But the two of them strike up and unusual friendship that blossoms, can their differences and past be overcome, a truly remarkable story that made me laugh wince and blush, because there are some truly imaginative sex scenes in some wonderful places , with art been showcased in ways I never thought about. Amazing read defiantly worth a TBR list must.
Freeform was such an enjoyable, for the most part light-hearted, easy to read story about what it means to live life and embrace Fate, all of its hardships and freedoms.
The chemistry between our characters was immediate and easy, the melding of their personalities seamless I. Spite of just how different they were. The support given and received from both halves was enlightening.
It wasn’t your stereotypical billionaire romance, Tucker was a down to earth, hippie who saw the world in shades of Art that was truly interesting and philosophical And June? I just loved everything about June. Her growth in confidence, her inability to word properly (IYKYK), her love for family and her effortless ability to anchor Tucker. I thought they were perfectly complementary.
This was my first rom com by Xavier Neal and it was as delicious and lighthearted as advertised. A must if you’re in the mood for a story full of humor and life and bold sexy times.
I have only recently discovered this author, but she is becoming one of my favorites. I am finding that I really enjoy her writing style. The characters talk to the reader, that's great! June is a PA for Brandi. Brandi loves her sister's only child, Tucker, but he only ever stays in town for a week at most. Since Brandi's sister is getting married, she has assigned June the job of keeping him in town for 8 weeks and getting Tucker to his mother's wedding. Tucker does not seem to like his mom and he does not want to go to that wedding. This book is beautifully written. It approaches real world problem such as the way a wife and son deal with death and the animosity it can cause. It shows the beauty of real love, possibly with fates help? It's a great story. It's well written with a nice plot and a HEA.
Nice quick read. June's clumsiness bothered me for a small moment then remembered I hit the wall, slipped on house shoes left in the bathroom and tripped over nothing all in the same day. Tucker and June are very sweet together. He sees the beauty in her she doesn't see for herself. I recommend and definitely love that it wasn't a cookie cut story. But then again this is Xavier an author who rarely if ever gives me those. I'm a fan of her work. Would also note...the H&h has an inner monologue but they’re speaking to you. Vs we just read what they’re thinking it’s directed to the reader. I found most of my laughs there because I’m one of those readers who talk to my book 😄.
Free Form has one of my favorite tropes which is when an assistant or pr person has to babysit the wandering uncontrollable boy, and tame him. June and Tucker are a great example of this! Tucker is a wandering soul trying to escape his family past by exploring the world making surface level connections every where he goes. June is trying to make ends meet to help her sisters and so she takes on babysitting Tucker to make more money.
They feel a connection quick and their romance was both sweet and spicy. While the romance was supposed to be the main show, I loved the scenes involving Tucker and his family! Those scenes stole the show for me!
Ms. Neal delivered a sweet story with heart. June and Tucker are adorable and their chemistry just flew off the pages. I loved the art theme that flowed throughout this story. As with all Ms. Neal's stories, this one touched upon some heavy-ish type themes which always give her books extra heart.
This story progressed at a great clip. It ebbed and flowed effortlessly, with a clear beginning, middle and end. I love reading all her books and love how other characters from her previous works make a cameo.
You honestly thought having the main character being a punching bag and doormat was okay and on top of that she black. She didn't grow at all she was the same way from beginning to end. The fact we had a insight into was a waste because all it showed she really was a nobody didn't say shit when her boss basically told to sleep with her nephew or lose your job, starting fucking still get fired Didn't treat her with no respect I'm really starting to questioning these bwwm authors
As my headline states, I absolutely adored Tucker and June aka June Bug. And I really liked that even though Tucker comes partly from money, he isn't the snooty, rich-boy, silver spoon stereotype. He's actually quite the opposite which is one of the reasons I think June fell for him as well. They really balance each other and it was one heck of a ride for them to get to that point. Especially for poor Jane, who almost had her work cut out for her!!
Home is where the art is. Paige may be a homebody who puts everyone's needs before her own, but when she meets Tucker her entire world is about to turn. Tucker is constantly running from his past, always looking for the next adventure, but what if that next adventure means staying home and building a life with the one person he didn't see coming? A great read, that's all about where the art is! I loved the art puns throughout the book! I received an ARC, and this is my honest review.
The author, Xavier Neal, has done it once again. What a beautifully told story. I really enjoyed Tucker and June’s story. If you enjoy fun, rom-coms, like I do, then I highly recommend you pick up this book. Earning five stars from me!
“I’m learning love is not just an art form, but the canvas, the paint, the brush, and the artist itself. It’s only when you’ve completely surrendered to Fate, and we’re talkin’, the good, the bad, the ugly and the perfect, that you’re allowed to live every day as the masterpiece it is intended to be.”
June Bailey is super organized, and she has to be for the boss she works for. She’s done some strange things for her before, but this new task seems over the top. June has to keep an eye on her boss’s nephew, Tucker, and make sure he shows up for his mother’s wedding. Should be easy right? Ah…not so much when he’s not the kid June was thinking he was. No, he’s all man and a sexy, irresistible one at that. Add in the fact that he’s notorious for never sticking around, and she’s got herself quite a problem. June knows she’s got to get him to stay. If not, it’s her job. But, that becomes the least of her problems when their relationship becomes A LOT closer than just keeping a watchful eye on Tucker.
As always, Neal draws readers into her the book by making them the characters’ closest confidantes, and man the ideas in Tucker’s head range from naughty to enlightening. I loved the relationship between June and Tucker. He makes her head spin with his dirty mouth, but he also tries to get her to see herself as he sees her, special…like a beautiful work of art. June also brings out the best in Tucker. He begins to see the world a little differently through her eyes. The book is filled with hot sexy love scenes, but it’s a beautiful love story as well!
Neal does such a great job of writing just more than a hot, sexy, spicy romance. She challenges you to think. There were so many passages I had highlighted that I couldn’t decide which ones to use in the review. Neal continues to show her talent at being a versatile writer. Her stories range from erotic to fantasy, and her characters have been MMA fighters, strippers, recovering addictions, and fierce military men, but each one is equally good. Each character remains distinct from the other. As I always say, she is a force to be reckoned with!

Reviewed on behalf of 2 girls who love books blog.
I gave this book 4.5 stars.
Freeform is the first book that I have read by Xavier Neal and I think, if her other books are written like this one, I may be addicted to her writing style! I loved this book from the very first page. It's written from both characters point of view (a style that I personally love) but also some parts were written as if the characters were talking to you as the reader and asking what you thought - this I found to be very engaging and helped keep my interest throughout the whole book.
Freeform is about June - an assistant to Brandi Frost, who is part of a family that own a chain of hotels. Brandi gives June the task of 'babysitting' her 26 year old nephew Tucker for 8 weeks to ensure he attends his Mother's (Brandi's sister) wedding. Tucker is a flight risk so June tries everything to keep him there and ultimately her job. A mutual attraction is evident from the word go but is this enough to keep Tucker from skipping town?
OK, so the sex scenes were a bit tame but I think that this was in keeping with the characters. June is a quiet, reserved young woman and Tucker, although a wild, free spirit, tries to bring June out of her shell slowly. Any kind of wild, BDSM style sex scenes wouldn't have worked. I thought the story had a good plot and although I kind of guessed early on what might happen I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I've not read a story with a plot like this before so it was nice to read something different. There were no plot holes that I could find and overall I thought it was very well written. Freeform is a standalone, happily ever after novel. I definitely recommend Freeform as an easy read but be prepared to not want to put it down.
I give Freeform 4.5 stars and thoroughly recommend it.
I was given this book in turn for an honest review.
June Bailey had one task; keep Tucker Frost in his home city or find herself FIRED! Tucker proves to be a fascinating companion and they discover their lives are entwined in countless ways. Will their connection keep Tucker grounded or will history repeat itself?
Xavier Neal has brought the true power, love and beauty of art to life. She has given this contemporary romance a fascinating and intriguing factor that makes it stand out from many other romances within its category. This romance has you captivated from the start until the very end and has the perfect, sweet and heartfelt ending this couple deserved.
June was a bright, strong, independent woman and she was very good at her job; although it was clear she longed for her job to become something more so she could explore her true passions.
Tucker was a mischievous, lively, and irresistibly charming young man. His passion for life and freedom pulled at your heart. It was easy to see why everyone was drawn to him.
I absolutely loved June and Tucker; as individuals and as a couple. They brought out the greatest in each other and they were able to show the other how different life could be if they believed in themselves or were able to let go of the past and see it from another perspective.
I highly recommend this book for contemporary romance lovers and for anyone wanting to give themselves a boost and brighten their day/week.
I love Xavier Neal and always look forward to her newest release. Freeform is amazeballs and immediately became on of my favorites.
June loves art, yet has no ability to create. So she encourages, inspires and works as an assistant to an important woman who puts her close to the art community. With her boss's sister getting married, June gets an unusual assignment. Keep the nephew in town and get a bonus. If he leaves, she's fired. Tucker never stays anywhere long, but home is usually his shortest trip ever. He never sees him mom and is only here as a personal favor. He has no intention of staying for the wedding or mending the broken family bridges. But there is something powerful about his babysitter June. The way she is overlooked, forgotten, cast aside by those close to her touches his soul. He sees her and is determined everyone else does as well. That means letting down his walls, opening his heart and stepping into new and uncharted areas.
Freeform is easy, comfortable. It quickly touches your heart, giving you warm fuzzies. June touches something in your heart, having you cheering for her. Tucker is hot, especially if you like a sweet, naughty artist. Together, they work perfectly, the couple who you want to always be around, to be together. This quote stayed with me, long after I closed my kindle. <3
"You may think you're lost to the shadows when the truth is you're dead center and without you we would all fail"
June is constantly running errands and meetings the demands of her boss. She is now thrown into a whole family drama with the nephew. She is told to babysit Tucker, a grown man, who is known for running away. He is an artist and refuses to fulfill his role in the families affairs. He lives life to its fullest often traveling and meeting lovely women. He's a single man and is not afraid to flirt. June is reluctant when she first meets Tucker but when things become comfortable she sees the man behind the mask. He loves a lot of interesting arts and when he breaks down her wall, she lets him in and perhaps just a bit too much. They heat up the sheets and she is in the middle of meeting her job's demands as well as the man she is falling in love with. Having to keep him in town long enough for the family to have a wedding is no easy task, but when Tucker decides it's time to leave things get messy. June will lose her job and her opportunity to ever work in the city. FreeformXavier Neal
When June is asked to keep watch over her bosses nephew, how hard can it be to keep him in one place for a couple of months, but if she looses him she will be fired. Clumsy and lost for words when she is around him, but with Tucker she finds herself falling for him and wanting him to do all the naughty stuff to her.
Tucker is living his life the way he wants and doesn't spend a penny of the millions he is worth he spends the money he earns from doing normal jobs and from his art. He doesn't feel the need to be in any one place for any length of time especially if that place has his mother in it and he will go to great lengths to avoid her as well, but with babysitter June watching him and being his chauffeur because he can't be trusted with a car he gave one away to someone just because, but eventually opening up to June we find the reason behind why he doesn't get on with his mother.
Great read and if you want a giggle give this book a read. This is my first book by this author and I can see myself reading a few more
June is the typical wall flower. She feels taken advantage of, invisible, not quite as good as everyone else. That is, until she's given the job of babysitting Tucker, her boss's nephew. But it's not quite as easy as you would think. You see, Tucker is not a "baby", he's a full grown man, and what a man!! World traveled, sexy beyond belief, commitment phobe Tucker. But Tucker may have just met the one person who can make him change his ways.
Once again our Xavier took a situation, one we would think is impossible, and shows us that no matter what, there's a compromise that will make this a love story. She shows us that a relationship can work between opposites. And all the while, she makes you feel like you a part of the story. This is exactly why I wait on the edge of my seat for her to release a new book. I dare you to read this book and not fall in love with Xavier's writing.
I loved this book it was the first one I have read from Xavier Neal and I will say she nailed the hell out of it. I fell for June and Tucker and their bantering back and forth with one another. The last thing June wants to do is be a baby sitter to the rich nephew of her boss. But she knows better than to complain because her boss has no issues firing people. In fact June is the longest assistant she has ever had so when she says jump June says how high. Tucker has is issues and there are reasons he doesn't go home and if he does it's only his aunt that knows about it. But when he is summoned home for his mom's engagement he will do what he does best try and leave. However he didn't expect June and June sure in the heck didn't expect Tucker. They have a lot in common but for June she needs her job and if she looses Tucker she's done. Can she keep him still for the weeks her boss has requested? Or will she loose everything because Tucker is a runner?
What happens when you put a well organized, timid, beautiful woman and a realistic, down to earth, gorgeous billionaire? Well you must read June Bailey and Tucker Frost story to unveiled their passion.
June and Tucker are two completely different yet similar individuals. One has to live by list, another is a free spirit, the way they both fight their demons will push them or pulled them apart. But either way they will teach each other something very important that will change their lives.
This two are so passionate, they will have you smiling and melting your eReader. The book was good, and I wish it would've been more. I was left wanting more of this two. This is a great story to read now that kids are back at school. You will love it.
Gifted by author in exchange for an honest review.
I read Neal’s Senses series long before I started my blog and really enjoyed it; so I wasn’t overly surprised that I really enjoyed Freeform.
Neal’s writing style is unique and it’s one that I enjoy. Freeform introduces us to June and Tucker, they are both very different characters but they work well together. The characters have been described in a well rounded way and I found the narrative well-paced and easy to follow.
For the most part Tuck was an enjoyable character and I think most people would be able to connect and empathise with June. There were a number of points in the story that were emotional and I did get the all the feels.
I love the fact that this took would could have been a cliché set up and yet Neal’s characters and narrative was different and at time humorous.
Xavier Read does it again. This book, totally awesome. You will meet June and Tucker. Tucker, artist who will never be tamed and June the Administrative.
