What a cracking little short story! You would have to be made of granite not to be spooked by this ghost story. The author has chosen a wonderful setting for a ghost story - an old house, and the descriptive writing brilliantly builds the suspense. It is a short story so at the end you will have enjoyed the read but be left wanting more. Time to check out this author's other books. Strongly recommended!

Find Me is a short story (33 pages) that pulls you in from the beginning and you don’t want to put it down! It took me just over an hour to read it. This story is available today and comes out at the perfect time since Halloween is just a few days away! The house is truly creepy and I didn’t know what was going to happen. There is a conclusion to Find Me, but I wanted more! Whether extending it or more of Mia’s back-story.

It is recommended. If you like ghost stories, or something to spook you that is not long, definitely check it out.

I received a copy from E.J. Bennett in exchange for a review. Thank you E.J!

Find Me by E.J. Bennett Find Me, is a short ghost story set in an abandoned house. Mia returns to the house where all the secrets from her childhood are revealed. A suppressed memory opens the flood gates to a missing child and a house of horrors, proving that some secrets just won't rest.

A quick read with a worthwhile story.

Come in. Close the door. Sit down over here, by the fire. Don't worry about the rest of the room being dark, the fire is enough to see by. See the flames flicker, see how they dance, how they make the shadows in the room leap? Now, let's talk about ghost stories.

To this day, my favourite horror movie is the old Robert Wise classic The Haunting. Not the remake, I hasten to add, but the old black and white film from 1963. It's a haunted house story that boxes you in with its characters, not just in the house itself, but in their imagination. And the imagination can be a terrifying thing.

Find Me does the same thing. Mia is returning to her grandmother's old house, a house that has secrets, of her own past and... perhaps something more, something more sinister. Alongside old childhood friend Adrian, they uncover the secrets within, even as they are afraid to go further.

EJ Bennett does a good job of building the suspense in this short story - and it has that feel of classic old school horror. Fans of such horror classics - or modern-day returns to such tales as The Woman In Black - are heartily encouraged to dabble.

Thank you to the author for allowing me a copy in exchange for an honest review. Find Me is a short story (33 Pages) but a brilliantly written spooky story. I was hooked! What a scary house with a spooky history. I really enjoyed it! Yes, I wanted more. I think it could be adapted into a longer story if the author chooses too but its a perfect short story which took me ten minutes to read! I would highly recommend it to you all as a quick fix to read. Just maybe not alone in bed in the dark!

Find me is the perfect book for readers who enjoy short stories, ghost stories, fantasy, mystery, suspense and thrillers all mixed into one spooky spectacular short story. Brilliant. Enjoy, I did.

Find Me, is a short ghostly story that will leave you looking behind you every time you walk by an old vacant house. The way the author writes this short story has me questioning the workings of the mind. In the end, I couldn't fully make up my mind. I was left with a lot of unanswered questions, i.e., the identity of the children found in the basement, especially, Mary. I look forward to the complete story.

Short story that will definetly get you in the Halloween mood!

Can you solve the mystery before the ghost comes to finish you off?

Fast paced this ghost story takes you on a thrill ride right from the beginning and won't let you of until the mystery is solved.

Beware reading in the dark unless you like being scared!

This is a short paranormal story about a trapped ghost in an old family house. I found it to be sad and disturbing because...I don't give spoilers.

Reasonably well written and enjoyable.

The characters suited the plot, while some of the descriptions gave a spooky and atmospheric feel.

Good for those who enjoy the paranormal genre.

Find Me is a short story that packs a lot of punch. It has action and mystery and an angry ghost. Bennett has a very descriptive voice, and the fast paced story flowed smoothly. It's perfect for when you want a quick, paranormal read.

Find me in the...

Having never read a short story, I was a bit taken aback by the pace. Everything went so fast . However, more will be revealed in book 2 I presume. I was surprised how much detailed the author achieved with all the activity going on in the house. Definitely some spooky ideas in there.

This story is creepy right from the start. As you continue to move on, things get even more intense! The ending was absolutely unexpected and gave me the chills. It was worse than the house itself!

Recommended for anyone looking to have a short read on Halloween night!

Spooky little ghost story! Great read to put you into the Halloween spirit! Decrepit old house, a visit from a ghost seen as a child. Is there some reason the little girl is still there? Quick read to find all the answers.
