Well I have been with this series from the very beginning when Frozen Past blew me away and OMG Richard Hale hasn’t stopped since and now this is number six.  Absolutely loved this one, as pure solid action just burst out of the pages as soon as I opened the book. The whole story also had a compact tightness about it that makes the small cast of characters easy to follow.
Jaxon Jennings isn’t a young bloke he is a man with experience in the police force that now works as a P.I. with a little work for the police department thrown in. For Jaxon, life doesn’t throw him curve balls it tends to throw the bat because oh boy he sees his share of hard times. He is a bloke that is never really off duty so when he sees a beautiful woman murder a bloke on the street he just can’t walk away. He does what he does best, he walks straight into trouble.
Adi Jordan is definitely no housewife although she is the mother of a 15 year old daughter that has been kidnapped to be sold to the highest bidder in the sex trade. For Jaxon a question of whether to help her track these men down doesn’t even arise, being a parent of a murdered son himself. (Do please read the first book in the series to find out more, and it is free!) What follows is one hell of an all action I am coming to hunt you down and get my daughter back to scum adventures.
If you have read Jaxon Jennings books before you will know that nothing stops this man, he is a machine but Oh My Adi has a past and well at times makes Jaxon look like a novice. You are in for a double treat in this book. Jaxon’s normal dry humour continually made me chuckle too, a brilliant balance of writing in a book with such a dark and disturbing topic. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

The central subject matter of this book is quite harrowing to read about, it is about people smuggling, in this case of a young girl so that she could be sold on as a sex object for a rich man. The descriptions of the way the gangs work, and the trauma they put their victims through is very harrowing, very realalistic and, unfortunately, very believable.
However, this is surrounded by a superbly written action thriller where Jaxon (who is a great character, who gets better with each book!) teams up with the girl's mother to try and rescue her from the, in this case, Russian mafia. The mother (Adi) is a very dangerous person whose horrendous own back story is gradually revealed throughout the story, and so the body count soon begins to rise. Together Jaxon and Adi run a race against time to track the daughter from one location to another before she is shipped out of the country.
There are lots of twists and turns in the plot, and unexpected help, and unexpected dangers making this book a real page-turner, and guaranteed to raise your pulse rate.
I would rate this as one of the best thrillers I have read this year.
I did receive a complimentary copy of this book from the author and voluntarily wrote this review from it.

From the very beginning, this book draws you in and keeps you hooked. With a kick-ass female Mossad assassin (who reminds me fondly of Ziva from NCIS!) on a tear to find her daughter - who's been kidnapped by the Russian mob as part of their trafficking operations - teaming up with Jaxon (who's the more morally restricted of the pair), be prepared for lots of blood and action during their hunt! As always, Hale has written an excellent book that keeps you hooked through all the twists and turns, with characters that really come to life in your imagination. I really loved this book and highly recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of action and adventure. It also doesn't matter if you haven't read any previous books in the Jaxon Jennings series, as this can be read as a stand-alone book... Though I would recommend the whole series too!
Nb I received a free advanced copy of this book from the author, but my review is HONEST and based wholly on my own opinions.

Traffic (Jaxon Jennings #6) by Richard C. Hale

Jaxon is at a race for time to help a woman (Adi) try to find her missing daughter. It is not as easy as one would think. They are up against the Russian Mob in a Human trafficking ring. Soon his moral compass is tested (as) he is faced with many tough decisions on his challenging mission to get a woman's daughter back home (safe).

An Intesne emotionally charged original thriller. With attention to detail (and) the gritty truth of the subject matter, I was pulled into a dark underworld of terror. The plot is graphic and harsh, also very belivable. The characters are well defined with engaging dialog. I was pulled in from begining to the end. I hihgly recommend Traffic to those who love a great thriller.

Wow! Such Intrigue, Suspense and Action!

I've read a lot of thrillers over the past few years and I can easily see why I would give this book a perfect 5 stars. There are many ups and downs that take the reader from the metropolis setting in Virginia to the wilds of deep woods of West Virginia and back. To the top of the Russian crime syndicate to the seamy world of those who are traded freely through (and to) the underbelly of society; to see the see the plight of victims of sex trafficking for young people, forced labor and even organ harvesting. That Jaxon Jennings could help an ex-Mossad agent get her teen daughter from the Russians is serendipity at its finest. That same intervention helps him find peace from a couple of his own demons. And that makes for a good ending all around.

This latest Jaxon Jennings story takes on the subject of human trafficking as its main plot line. Throughout the course of the story the reader is exposed to facets of Jaxon's personality that haven't been exposed in the previous stories.

Once again Richard C. Hale has created a story that captures the reader from the first sentence and keeps them until the very last sentence. In fact there were a couple of twists to the story that occurred with no hints and left this reader wondering where else the story was going to take me.

This is a must read for readers of the Jaxon Jennings thrillers and would be an excellent introduction for new readers.

I received an advance reader copy of this book and voluntarily chose to write a review.

A quick read

A quick read because you can't put it down! Jaxon Jennings gets entwined in a fast pace chase to help save Ari's daughter from the Russian mob. She is maybe a little too good to be believed. Still the story is exciting to the last page. I recommend this book to all who love mysteries, full of action.

Traffick

I enjoyed the book but I thought Jaxon and Adi were a bad match for the journey you put them on. I actually enjoyed Adi more than Jaxon. She did not hesitate on what needed to be done on her mission and she was bad ass. I would like to see another book on Adi but with someone more adventuresome than Jaxon.

I read a lot and I think this book deserves a 7 rating. It includes everything you could want in a book—friendship, love, surprise and at times has you holding your breath. If you like reading an excellent thriller you’ll enjoy Traffic. Just make sure you have plenty of time to read since it’s very hard to put this book down.

I have been a big fan of Richard Hale and he hasn’t let me down once. This story involves a subject that needs to be constantly on everyone’s mind, especially law enforcement. Mr Hale handled it very well and very realistically.

Good page-turner

Nothing particularly new here, I read lots of similar thrillers but it keeps you entertained and wanting to find out what happens next.
The main character, Jaxon, doesn't seem to have any particular skill set but he gets the job done and is likeable.

"A Fast-Action Thrilling Novel"

One thing to know about Jaxon Jennings is his belief that families are everything ... top of his list. So when he witnesses Adi Jordan killing a man, and learns why, he decides to join Adi in the search for her daughter who had been kidnapped ... swept into the world of human trafficking. This is an awesome novel of high suspense and action. As always, Richard C. Hale's exciting novels are always well written and hard to put down. Read this to the surprising end. Highly recommend.
