I signed on to give this baby a second chance for a mother. I never counted on falling for my ex.I broke up with my high school sweetheart when I went away to college.I never expected him to knock up my sister. It was easy to tell myself it wasn't my fault. That they didn't exist.Until the day my sister died, with a clause in her will begging me to be a mother to their baby. How could I deny the child?Except that means seeing and being with Ethan every day.I watch in wonder as he deals with his little girl, he's the most loving, caring father.Soon, my body fills with desire whenever he walks into the room.I try to ignore his crazy sexy body and even sexier smile, but every day it gets harder. Now he says he wants me. He's always wanted me.And he wants us to be a family.*** A steamy STANDALONE contemporary romance with a smoking hot hero. No cliffhanger, no cheating and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.***
Ohhh this blurb... this blurb.. so romantic, so sweet, so acceptable and understandable. NO. IT IS NOT. THAT’S VOMIT INDUCING. IMO, there is no way to be right for someone to hook up with your sibling ex. It doesn’t matter how long ago they dated and how long they’re broken up. It’s just gross.
And it seems like even if fmc was his first love, it seems like he loved the sister too so fmc was going to be also a 2nd best. That’s ridiculous and crappy.
This dude had to be the dumbest H I've ever read. I had the urge to smack him upside the head the entire book. I also felt no love between the h and H. He pined away for the sister wife that passed away the whole book and brings her up in the most inappropriate situations. Yet we are suppose to believe it was a platonic relationship and they had seperate rooms...riiiiiggggghhhhhttttt

Never even understands how the h could be hurt by him being with her sister. Makes the reader feel the h loved him waaaay more than he ever loved her. It’s not explicitly stated but I’m quite sure he took the h’s virginity. FFS…he can’t keep it in his pants with the sister??? It’s not like they H/OW even had feelings for each other. It was SUPER SHITTY of the sister to want a taste of her baby sister’s ex but karmic AF she gets knocked up.
Blames her for his dead wife’s suffering over the withdrawal of the h from their life. You fucked her sister, knocked her up, married her. Like, bitch, please. I just can’t even with that logic. It just makes him look dumb.
WTAF…his reasoning for why this is all ok!?!?!?! The h broke up with him and so he moved on. She shouldn’t care who it was with. Total idiot. He’s not even an asshole. He’s just so fucking stupid he doesn’t get emotions. Like ever.
Not worth the read, the drama is mediocre at best. I’m left feeling he could care less about the h and would have been just as happy keeping on with the sister…even tho they only had “the sex” once when the sister got pregnant. They thought maybe one day true love together would be theirs…LMAO.
(((O.o)))
SPARE. ME.
PLUS, this was boring as shit and revolves around custodial infighting of the parents to H/h…
I knew what this book was about but I decided to still give it a shot and am sorry I did. Nothing again the writer, she did an ok job....that's why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.....with that being said why would a person whom suppose to love you unconditional, related to you by blood, date, marry, screw whatever with your ex????? Your ex should automatically be off limits. I would be able to forgive them both, but I would never forget and I would have stayed away from their lives regardless of what her sister's request was. I know that may sound nasty, but remember this....in a true loving relationship (friend, lover, husband, wife, etc) once trust is broken all you can be are acquaintances.
I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. My rating and opinion on this book is 3.5. Part of me can appreciate the maturity the MC’s exhibited when it came down to Riley. I can see how real this situation is. However, another part of me is confused as to the true feelings of Ethan- was it a marriage of convenience with Alexis? Or did he love her? More than Lara? Was his constant nostalgia for Alexis due to guilt? I get the process of emotions that Lara underwent and feel like her character was written more thoroughly. Because of this, the HEA left a little bit of doubt. That and the fact that we don’t get a clear follow up with regards to the grandparents. Lots of uncertainty.

ARC received for a voluntary and honest review. Lost Love💔 Reconciled
When Ethan🐺🍆🌋, his wife Lexi💋, and their young daughter, Riley👶 are hit in a car crash, only Lexi💋 is killed.
In a convoluted plot twist, Lexi's younger sister, Lara💋💃, was very involved with Ethan🐺🍆🌋 before she went away to college. Lara💋💃 was always the dependable one, Lexi 💋was more of a free spirit. Ethan🐺🍆🌋 was a free spirit too, and it bothered Lara💋💃 that he didn't have a goal in how he was going to succeed in life.
When she came back from College, Lara💋💔 found out that Lexi💋 had usurped Ethan🐺🍆🌋 from her, and she was also pregnant. Ethan🐺🍆🌋 did the right thing and married👰 her, learned a trade, and when their daughter, Riley👶, was born he was a happy man. Lara💋💔 basically cut off all ties from her family over the affair. She was angry, hurt, devastated.💔 Then when Riley👶 was only 18 months old, the wreck happened, changing all their lives forever. In her will, Lexi💋 asked that Lara💋💔 and Ethan🐺🍆🌋 share the upbringing of Riley👶. Lara💋💔 is brought back together with her estranged family, for the good of the little girl, Riley.👶 It's a silly balancing act. The two adults try to juggle their days off, jobs, and two households in a concerted effort to make sure that Riley👶 gets good care and doesn't have to go to daycare. It puts them both in daily contact with the other....... You see where this is going, don't you? YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍆, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
I liked the book a lot, but the author got so repetitive with Lara's objections to having to deal with Ethan🐺🍆🌋 in order to help care for Riley.👶 Over and over again, Lara states that Ethan🐺🍆🌋 is the last man on the planet she wants anything to do with. It was so bad, it began to crush the book for me.
Ethan🐺🍆🌋 keeps trying to compare Lara and other women to his lost love💔Lexi. This became very annoying to me as a reader, as well. I'm giving five 🌟stars despite the repetitive nature of the problems between the two main characters.
4 Star Kindle Unlimited Read Never had some really good writing. Pratt did a good job weaving it together. However, I call total BS that the guy only had sex during the one night stand that knocked up Lara's sister. They had an almost 3 year marriage. He was devastated when she died. His always compared Lara to his dead wife. That was the one thing I have to differ with in the story. Other than that it was good. On a side note... no way I would sleep with any of my sister's ex's

I was granted an ARC of Lulu Pratt's "Never," & I'm always pleasantly surprised with her skill set. I'll definitely be looking for more of her work... Happy Reading!
This is a second chance romance that had me all over the place! After the death of Lara's sister, at the reading of the will, she finds out that the sister she's estranged from and her husband Evan, who happens to be Lara's ex-boyfriend have asked that she co-parent their daughter, Riley, in the event of her death. Wanting to be there for her niece to give her a mother figure but dealing with Evan on a daily basis is not something she thinks she can handle.. she can do this for her niece right? Ahh! I have to say- I did NOT like Lara- I tried, I did, I tried to see it from her point of view, I failed, eh, that girl, she may have had Riley's best intentions at heart, but I felt like that was it! I wanted to throttle her otherwise! She was pretty sanctimonious ( in my opinion of course ) about the rest. Had I been Evan, I would have told her to take a hike! Just saying! But as I have said before, Just as in real life, I don't have to like all the characters, for the story to work out! And it did. Pretty well in fact. I am a fan of Lulu Pratt's! This book was a well written emotional roller coaster, with high octane heat, a sweet budding second chance at love all intertwined with madness, grief, and guilt. I suggest checking this one out for yourself!
This book was an emotional rollercoaster and my heart ached because of all of the pain this family was living through. Lara and Ethan were high school sweethearts. Before Lara left for college she broke up with Ethan because he didn't seem to have any career aspirations that would make it possible for them to build a life together. Lara's heart is shattered when she returns home after graduating from college to discover Ethan and her sister, Alexis, are engaged and expecting a baby. Feeling betrayed by her family, Lara distances herself from them. When Alexis dies, Lara is surprised to discover her sister has requested in her will that Lara share custody of baby Riley with Ethan. Ethan does not understand why Lara is so angry about his marriage to Alexis but is willing to honor is late wife's wishes. When I cry or laugh while reading a book, I know the book is good. This is such a good book and I couldn't put it down. I started reading this through KU but by Chapter Eleven I knew this was an exceptional book with several bonus books included so I bought it.
When Lara learns that her ex boyfriend and sister hooked up one night and they were having a baby as a result she cut them from her life. She even stopped talking to her parents until her mother got sick and then she started talking to them again. She broke up with Ethan years before any of this happened but it came down to girl code. You don't go after a friend's ex boyfriend or your sister's ex boyfriend. She felt she was just in how she felt and held onto that until it was too late and her sister died. However her sister left a condition in her will and wants her to raise her daughter with her now brother-in-law/ex-boyfriend. How will the get past what happen to make a good future for Riley?
This was a great story about a second chance love. I really enjoyed it and recommend that you read it if you haven't.
I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
The first couple of chapters lead me to believe that Lara's disdain for her sister and her husband was justifiable but as the story progressed, it was clear that Lara's actions were childish, unfair and plain stupid. She broke up with Ethan in high school. Years later, while she was away in college, her sister Alexis and Ethan hooked up, got married and had a child. There was no reason for Lara to get upset and distance herself not only from her sister but from the entire family. When the author tells us that Ethan broke Lara's heart, I had to laugh. Ridiculous. She broke up with him, not the other way around and that was years before Alexis and Ethan got together. However, this book is well written and I might enjoy it if it wasn't for this ludicrous story.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I liked this book, but not as much as this author’s other books. It took me awhile to believe Ethan was really in love with Laura. Mostly because it was so soon after the death of Alexis, his wife and Laura’s sister. Ethan and Laura do get their second chance love story but a bit differently than most and with a bit of drama because of a custody battle with Laura’s parents over Ethan and Alexis’s daughter Riley. Things did work out for the best and a HEA was proven. This is a good book, not disappointing, just different from Lulu Pratt’s other books. Ultimately, I do recommend this book!
This was a different take on a second chance romance. After Lara broke up with Ethan he had a one night stand with her sister that resulted in a pregnancy. Doing the right thing he married her. When her sister died, her will asked that Lara help take care of her daughter, Riley. Of course this meant seeing her ex, Ethan daily. Their relationship seemed strained to mean and I didn't like Lara. I found her to be self centered. Also I didn't think there was much chemistry between them. The little girl, Riley was precious and they both seemed to be crazy about her. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review
When her sister died, Lara receives the shock of a life time. When his wife died, Ethan struggles with moving on and raising his daughter. Their shared past complicates things. Will these two be able to find common ground? Will they be able to patch things up from the past?
Have to say that I couldn't really blame Lara for her reaction to her sister and Ethan. I did think that Ethan didn't really think about how she would feel prior to her explaining it to him. I was proud of both finally coming together and talking everything out. I knew once they decided to make a stand together that they would make it through. Good read!

There are no guarantees in life or love...and second chances are rare. With Never, Lulu Pratt has delivered a touching story of love, loss, and finding a way back to love. The storyline may throw some readers off in the first couple of chapters—but keep reading. This story evolves in ways that will hurt your heart and have you weeping for the characters and hoping against hope that love will find its way back to Lara and Ethan. Don’t let this one get away...1-Click today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was totally blown away by it.) ❤️
Wow! I loved this book by Lulu Pratt! She took a different spin on a second chance romance that I have not read before and definitely kept the pages turning. The emotions, angst, passion and even hate really made this one heck of a read. Not one to be passed up. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Ethan = 5/5 Heroine, Lara = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 1/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 1/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
It was a good read a second chance romance and all sexy hot but the way they went about it that I didn't like so much. I know that the sister is no longer in the picture but Ethan just made me so confuse I was not sure if he loved his wife or his first love and neither if they did betrayed Lara or not I'm not sure of even though Lara broke up with Ethan if it was the right thing for him to married her sister. I definitely like the written and the heating moments in the book but the rest was just confusing at times. I received a free copy of this book and I voluntarily chose to review it.
I absolutely loved this book. It had a wonderful storyline that not very many people write about. This one was to the point, family oriented and most of all filled with love for a little girl who had just lost everything. Lara and Ethan made thus story what it needed to be. If it wasn't them per sat I don't know how this would of worked out. He was simply amazing how you brought a family together and made sure it was about love and family. I absolutely give this book 5 stars. I voluntarily reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy
Never by Lulu Pratt is a second chance romance between Lara and Ethan. Lara feels betrayed by her sister Alexis and her ex boyfriend Ethan when they get married. She distances herself from them and her family. After the death of her sister and a clause in her will things change for both families as Lara and Ethan are forced to put aside their disagreements, bitterness and past to be able to give Ethan's daughter a stable upbringing as co-parents. An emotional read with explosive chemistry that needed a bit of a nudge to reignite. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well written and had a lot of chemistry. I was hooked from the very beginning Amazing story and wonderful writing! All characters are three-dimensional and believable. The storyline is intense, it's gripping in the best sense of the word. This book is great, a must-read. The author is one of my favorites and I look forward to more books by her. I loved the HEA!
A unique story that is well written. I like the storyline and plot. It made laugh a lot sometimes. But it has also got passion, drama, hot scenes, emotional ups and downs. The twists are unsuspected. Characters are well described and develops nicely. Great chemistry and hot scenes. A quick, hot, sexy and romantic read. I loved that it has an epilogue.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I enjoyed the wonderful storyline, however I could've slapped Lara, how she can hate Ethan and Alexis getting together in the first place was stupid, as it was Lara who broke up with him, and she was acting like a spoilt brat, though, that might've been what Lulu had in mind. So other than that I was hooked.
I received an ARC and voluntarily leave my own opinion
I voluntarily read the arc copy of this book. This is a great second chance romance with a surprise that you will have to read to find out!! It's sweet yet sexy and a poignant all at once. Can Ethan and Lara put their pasts behind them and find the love they once had? I loved this and I think you will too!!
This was a good read for me. I did find Ethan and Lara a bit annoying at time and the relationship between Ethan and Alexis was a bit confusing. Did he love both sisters at the same time and Ethan and Alexis got married because she got pregnant it seemed his emotions were all over the place about her? The premise is interesting and I did find the book entertaining.
Lara found out her Sister hooked up with her ex and she's pregnant. She distances herself as she's hurt and doesn't speak to them for 2years. Then a tragedy happens and she has to go home. What happens after that shocks her. Will she do what's required????
