Rule Number 1: Do Not Sleep with Clients
I was the best agent in the industry. More ruthless and cutthroat than any arrogant bastard you’d ever met.
The top actors in Hollywood came to me to get signed.
When I saw James Ryne, America’s Sweetheart, standing across the bar, I wanted her body like I’d never wanted anything before.
I broke rule number one.
But, after all, I was a man. No one had ever mistaken me for a saint.

Rule Number 1: Do Not Fall in Love Again
I didn’t know his name. I didn’t who he was. All I knew was that he was deliciously handsome and he had to be someone to get into the most elite bar in LA.
He was too old for me, too experienced—the kind of man everyone warned me about. It was only supposed to be a one-night stand. I could have walked away. I should have walked away.
And then I was forced to walk away when my scandal hit the tabloids.
I broke rule number one and now I had to make the biggest decision of my life.
Risk my heart or get signed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Signed (stand-alone). Scandal, deception & off-the-chart sex with hungry-mouth agent & his too young client!

“Don’t stop.”
I didn’t need an order to stay buried in her pussy. It was the only place I wanted to be right now.”

Signed (stand-alone) opens up to a night of best-sex-ever quickly derailed but Hollywood scandal for entertainment agent Brett Young and America’s sweetheart, actress James Ryne.

Story follows them during damage control of a tarnished image; sorting out misunderstandings and uncovering betrayal while they try to keep their hands off each other and fail miserably, repeatedly.

“I got closer to the opening to get a better view of his cock. I hadn’t seen many in my life, but his was certainly the nicest. It was long and hard…”

Five words to describe Brett Young: Commanding, conflicted, protective, possessive and focused.

Five words to describe James Ryne: Trusting, naïve, loyal, smart and easy-going.

Signed, told from dual POVs, is a perfect blend of a sizzling forbidden May-December affair and a suspenseful romance rocked by scandal. In true Marni Mann fashion my Kindle almost caught on fire thanks to a horny Brett with a very hungry mouth and gifted tongue. It ends perfectly with a glimpse into the future, but I would welcome a bonus epilogue when James is older.

“My cock didn’t seem to care; the goddamn thing was so hard it was grinding into my boxer briefs.”

Nope.

Another DNF.

I’m still rating it, though, because I passed the 50% mark.

The beginning was good(ish) if you don’t mind annoying, immature heroines whose eyes widen when they see the hero’s BIG male reproductive organ.

I couldn't relate to the main characters. I didn’t feel their connection. It felt cheap and dirty and not in a good way. In fact, I didn’t feel anything. I wasn't even sorry for what happened to the heroine.

I decided to throw in the towel sometime after the two of them had sex in a conference room in Miami.

Seriously?

I won’t even bother to describe how ridiculous and out of place that whole scene was.

All in all, just another implausible story that lacks depth.

5 America's Sweetheart Stars

 photo redcarpet_zpsdamqyrtc.gif

James is a famous actress, she is 18 and started out on a sitcom at 13 where she meets her boyfriend Abel. She catches Abel cheating on her with a famous Country music star, so obviously his now her ex but this incident leads to a whole string of events for James.

To show LA she's over her ex she hits the town with her bestie Eve, at a party she meets someone and this meeting will come back to haunt her in a HUGE way.

 photo paparazzi_zpscw9maomu.gif

The next time she goes out she bumps (literally) into Brett who she is immediately attracted to, he is an agent for famous actors but that's not what he tells James at first.

 photo paintiesdrop_zpsynujnyow.gif

Brett is deliciously hot, I really liked him. I was a little worried about James at first as she seemed like a bit of a doormat but boy was I wrong!! As the story continued she grew a large set of brass balls and held her own. Together James and Brett are fierce and smoking hot.

This book had a bit of everything in it and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit. Some of the plot especially the Calvin drama was a little predictable but that didn't bother me in the slightest. I have never read this 'lighter' side of Marni Mann before so I wasn't sure I'd like it as much as her dark reads but she pulled it off perfectly in my opinion.

Signed is officially my first 5 Star read for 2018, I loved it!!!

"You'd be a fool not to take her on."
description

Signed is the latest and greatest contemporary romance by one of my go-to authors Marni Mann. With scandal, passion, and forbidden romance, Ms. Mann offers a blockbuster hit that will captivate you with every turn of the page.

description
"You're so dirty."
"You're so fucking delicious."
James Ryne is no stranger to the paparazzi. A child actress who has bloomed into "America's Sweetheart" she has found success on the red carpet. After fighting to overcome heartbreak when she and her first love, co-incidentally her co-star and best friend, broke up, James is working hard to remain relevant in the Hollywood world. When James has a one night stand with Brett Young, she has no idea how much her life is about to change. Brett, a well-respected talent agent, is quite taken by James and, despite their huge age difference, they form a long distance friendship. After long distance calls and late night video chats, they decide to meet again. When Brett is making plans to return to LA scandal crashes into James' life. When James' career comes crashing down around, Brett may be the only thing that can save her. But can he actually represent the woman that he has fallen head over heels for? What will happen when James gets Signed?

description
"Karma is such a cunt."
Told in dual POV, Signed is a stunning smoking hot romance with an intriguing plot and complex characters. James is a strong heroine who is independent and dedicated to getting what she wants. I truly adored her stamina when it came to her pursuit of getting Brett. She refused to hide from the battle that became her life. Instead of Brett becoming her "savior", James saves herself with Brett by her side. Without giving too much of the plot away, I will just offer that the circumstances in which these characters are living are quite relevant to the circumstances women face every day. With complex characters, scandal, intrigue, and smoking hot passion, Signed will certainly find it's home on my favorites of 2018 and will stay forever on my mind and in my heart.

description

Overall, I highly recommend Signed to anyone who enjoys a good forbidden romance with passion and heart. Be forewarned, you will have a major book hangover after finishing this one! Marni Mann never fails to amaze me with her fluid writing style, complex characters, and captivating plots. When Ms. Mann is writing, my Kindle and I are waiting! I can only hope that Ms. Mann will explore the other characters from this world because I am dying for more!

DNF at %50 (not that I liked it up until here, but I tried not to be a quitter)

***********************************************

This is everything I hate in a book and then, some.

The heroine, James, is a celebrity, actually America's sweetheart. The hero, Brett, is an agent working for celebrities. She is 18, he is 30. When she is 18, I don't like her with a man so mature.

Despite her young age, she makes the first move in a bar. She goes home with him that night. When he leaves town, she calls him and asks him to come back soon. She really works for it, sending him seductive photos and all.

I hate it when the woman becomes the chaser! But I think the writer made this on purpose so we didn't hate the hero for chasing such a young girl. Either way wouldn't work for me, anyways!

***********************************************

A scandal handled in the worst possible way!

Then, a scandal makes everything worse. Her sex tape is leaked into the media. Her agents and other stuff do not help her, her contracts are cancelled, she loses all her present and future jobs. She is humiliated in media and in real life by people's awful comments.

She calls Brett but as he has seen his friends watching the video and later watched it himself as well, he refuses to meet her or even listen to her on the phone, thinking she did it after they met. He treats it as a cheating case more than everything else!

He doesn't let her explain when it happened or with whom. I know it must be awful to watch the girl you want to be with having sex with someone else and knowing the whole world is also watching it. But he is still an ass*, shutting her like that. He could have acted in a better way.

***********************************************

She acts all wrong!

When Brett refuses to continue their relationship, James gets even more upset and she closes herself into her closet and hides from the world for a few days.

Then, a few days later, with her best friend's advice, she goes to a girls' party, where she gets drunk and dances crazy to forget her pain. Of course, she is filmed and photographed there while doing that and the media says she doesn't care about her sex tape and she is having fun at a party.

I know she is 18 but she doesn't have to be that stupid and reckless in a situation like that.

***********************************************

Surprising! plot twist

After the party fiasco, her agent and everyone else (except for her manager) leave James, saying they cannot save her.

Her manager Tim says he will take her to someone to get help and this someone turns out to be ... (you couldn't guess, right? surprise surprise, this potential help turns out to be) Brett!

First, Brett refuses to even talk to her, but then, his friends (partners) insist that they should accept her as a client and he reluctantly agrees.

***********************************************

How much further can a girl lose her self-respect?

When he listens to her story, saying she didn't know she was being filmed and it happened 3 months ago before they met, Brett changes his mind and decides to help her but not before sending everyone out of the office and f*king her on the office table.

(Huh, what? Of course, she agrees to do it (and do it bare!) - she is always ready, having no self-respect, common sense and all.)

***********************************************

Working together!

Then, Brett and James start to work together. They try to stay away from each other because she is his client now but they cannot and oh it goes on like that!

***********************************************

I despised both characters so much that I couldn't take it anymore.

I will not try anything else from this author again because I don't like it when writers create such weak and stupid heroines.

***********************************************

P.S. The dialogue in the blurb doesn't happen in the book. Bits and pieces of their conversations here and there are copied and pasted together as if it is one dialogue (maybe to create one interesting blurb) but it actually isn't a dialogue happening between them! It is a patch-work of their conversations, inner monologues, texts and live chats.

Keeping this simple...

I’m happy because...

I read a new author (to me) and I loved it

Completely adored this story, it’s sweet with some angst, it captivated me from the start, and this story gives you happiness in all forms, mostly in the form of an handsome talent agent that I couldn't get enough of

I fell in love with Brett Young & James Ryne. I'm a sucker for these Hollywood stories, all the drama, the sex, the love, the lust, the lies, and of course the sexy ass men in them. The age difference wasn't a big deal to me in this one, to me James didn't act or seem 18 at all during this story, okay a few times, but it wasn't a problem at all. This story just clicked, it was well written and it kept you wanting to get to the next page.

Can not wait to get Jack’s story now

This is a story that you’ll definitely want to read if you love Hollywood celebrities, a quick and sweet love story, and a kickass hero and adorable heroine. So happy I got an advance copy ❤️

Marni Mann has signed, sealed and delivered one of 2018’s most explosive Hollywood romance. Signed was decadent, sinful, hot, sexy, and tastefully erotic . This book had me wanting, craving, and begging more of this specific genre from Marni Mann. How could I not devour this book when it involves an older man and America’s Sweetheart who happens to be 18 years old. Yes, the angst, lust, sexual attraction, passion, intensity, and chemistry was written so perfectly that readers like myself couldn't help but squirm with excitement as this book hit every spot. So if you are looking for a highly intoxicating romance then look no further than Signed and trust me, you will become addicted to Marni Mann’s writing and creativity.

I loved EVERYTHING about this book!! After finishing Signed, I cannot believe I actually slept on this author. Especially since I loved her Unblocked Collection so freaking much. I’m so glad that I got the chance to read this because with this book, she has officially catapulted herself to my must-read and one-click lists!

James, the hottest actress in Hollywood, has an instant attraction to Brett. He’s the most gorgeous guy she’s ever seen. He belongs on the big screen, but because she doesn’t recognize him, she doesn’t think he’s part of the industry. After a one-night stand, Brett goes home to Miami but they continue to talk via text, phone and video. And then there’s a sex tape leak and no one else can help James the way Brett, the best agent out there, can.

Honestly, the unique blurb gives you the gist so I’ll just highlight all of the things I loved…

♥ I kept forgetting that James was only 18 years old. The author who was mature, mostly level-headed, knew how to give and take direction, and who was full of determination. She had traits that belied her tender years.
♥ Although Brett was the most eligible bachelor in Miami, I loved that he couldn’t get his mind off the young woman he shared an instant connection with and didn’t have eyes for anyone else.
♥ The fireworks that exploded each time these two were in the same room together. Holy. Freaking. Panty-Melting. Goodness!!!!
♥ This story was a pretty light and comfortable read, but it was easy to be taken and fall for the characters. I loved all of them (well, except for the ‘villains’).
♥ Did I mention the sex? I did? Well, it bears mentioning again. It was dirty, filthy, hot and fan-freaking-tastic!!

My only complaint, and it really isn’t a real issue (I did give this 5 stars), but I wanted her ex to suffer. Real bad. I wanted him to grovel for forgiveness. But I guess in the end it didn’t matter because James found real love with someone a million times better and her future success would leave the douche in the dust. So there’s that.

Hottest American actress James Ryne’s passionate one night stand with agent Brett Young soon develops into much more than expected. But when James becomes a victim of an online graphic sex tape leak which threatens to derail her promising career, her agent and publicist abandon her, all her current contracts are cancelled and Brett leaves her when she needs him the most. Devastated James tries to take control of her career and her life by signing with a new agency. She is shocked to learn that Brett runs the agency and that she has to work with him in order to repair her damaged reputation. The price of fame is high and when the world wants to drive them apart, life only seems safe in Jame's bed.
James and Brett won my heart, their roller coaster ride was seriously out of control and had everything flung in it but I loved it. As a couple I was rooting for them all the way. I loved the humor, I loved the drama (and there was plenty) and I loved their hot romance. The chemistry leaps off the page. Your heart breaks and then heals again. Not to mention the sex scenes burn up the pages!
The author really did an amazing job with character development and you couldn't help but believe the two main characters were meant for each other. So much love, drama and unbelievable chemistry between the two. A must read!

Well this was one sexy glamorous treat! Who doesn’t love a good Hollywood story? The glitz, the glamor, the scandal, and the major comeback? It all goes down in tinsletown. How could you not love anything like that and throw in a forbidden romance as well, and I can already hear the script being written.

Eighteen year old James Ryne is Hollywood’s “It" girl. With adoring fans and a career that’s on fire, there’s nothing more that she could ask for. Her personal life on the other hand, is quickly dwindling down thanks to a special kind of betrayal and having to go through that kind of hurt again, isn't worth it. While taking a moment to let loose, James meets a sexy older man who shook her world up in one night. That should’ve been the end for them right? As fate would have it, that was just the very beginning.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

“I hired you to be in charge of my career, but you’re not allowed to manage my heart”.

Brett knows how to handle his sh*t. Being the hottest Acting Agent in the Industry, he wasn’t on top for nothing. But when he’s faced with helping the one girl who was now off limits, keeping things professional will be the biggest role of their careers. Will Brett and James be able to stay away from each other, or will the heat be too much for them?

I really tried reading this one slowly but it just wasn’t possible!! I flipped through those pages so fast, you would've thought that I was being chased. Brett and James chemistry were off the charts hot, I couldn’t get enough of those two and not to mention the side characters kept me hella entertained! Seriously, they need their own book like right now! Mix in some catty drama, a comeback on the horizon, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a read that is not to be missed.

"You'd be a fool not to take her on."

t1 1-13-18

Eighteen year old American's sexy actress James Ryne has made a great acting career for herself.  She had been working to make her dreams come true since thirteen years of age and all she ever wanted was to make her dead parents proud.  Fame was on the tip of her hands until one awful day her worse nightmares came true.

"I don't know how to fix this. It's all falling apart, everything, my whole life, and it's just getting worse."

Brett Young was the best in the industry when it came to making talented individuals famous.  His agency was the best in Miami.  On a trip to LA he meets young and beautiful James.  They both immediately hit it off and what started as a one night stand became a one month long distant thing.  He was confused of what he was feeling for her; everything was moving super fast but he just couldn't seem to stop thinking about her and their amazing night they shared together.

"I liked her. I liked her a hell of lot more than I wanted to admit."

I honestly had no idea what to expect when reading this book but what a gem I found.  I was incredible hooked from page one.  The super steamy hot scenes had me panting the entire time and fanning myself.  Brett was super dominant and even though he came across like an asshole his dirty and filthy mouth made me melt for him so hard.  He didn't just dirty talked he showed everything he could do with that tongue and boy was I fascinated with him?! hell to the yaaaaaaaaasssss!!!.

"James, listen to me, you were more than enough."..."There was never anyone else. Only you."..."You make me so fucking hard." I twisted  my hips, giving her my whole length. "Do you feel that? Do you feel what you do to me?"

Besides the hotness this book delivered; the story itself was unique and scandalous.  I literally could not put this book down.  I needed to know who was behind everything and how these two were going to work though their issues.  I was not disappointed; even though I guessed who was the at fault party I truly enjoyed this fast page story.

Signed is a story about love, drama, lies and learning to survive in an industry of fame.  The author was able to enticed me in the story from the very first page.  Brett is such a lovable character you just can't helped but love him even after he fucks up so badly you want to hate him.  James is a great character who learns super quickly how to overcome this life style and make the best of it.  Readers who enjoy a fast page story full of drama, love, friendship and lots of sexy scenes will absolutely love this standalone story told from both Britt and James point of view.

4 'Signed & Loved' Stars!

It surely has been a while since my last novel by Marni Mann. I know she has been releasing new stuff but, since I am not much into dark romance, I waited until she released a new contemporary romance. And of course, she did amazingly well! I mean who does not love a good Hollywood-themed love story? I am definitely not complaining!

Signed is Marni's new standalone novel and it tells the forbidden love story between a kickass entertaiment agent and the newest America's sweetheart actress. Brett Young and James Ryne meet one night and without knowing who they really are (especially James), they have an unforgettable intense and super passionate night together. They start liking each other and they have a beautiful connection. Well, all that changes when James becomes involved in a sex scandal and Brett has to help her with the situation. Now they are off limits because they work together but that chemistry is very much impossible to stop and they start a secret relationship.

“I’m not coming to scare you, James. I’m coming to give your body more pleasure than you’ve ever felt.”

“What do I get out of this?”
“You get the best fucking agent in the business.”

I knew Marni Mann would deliver another sexy hero for me to love! OMG the sex is so HAWT. I loved this author's Unblocked series so I just knew she would not fail me with this couple. I love a novel with a little bit of drama, taboos and lots of sweet and sexy times. Yes, there is an age gap between Brett and James. Do I care about it after seeing that chemistry between them? Hell no! I loved how this story developed and how they become such a fantastic couple.

“I want what’s best for you, and I still don’t know if I’m that person.”
“Let me decide that.”

Therefore, my rating for Signed is 4 STARS because I really enjoyed this love story, its theme, its characters and the connection between the couple. Her heroes are so dirty and her heroines so strong and she did not fail with Brett and James! I am so glad to hear that Marni is creating a series with the other characters in The Agency and I can't wait to read the next one (Jack sounds SO good!). Definitely read this one if you are a fan of Marni's work or you want a sexy Hollywood read!

2.5-3 Stars.?

Audio –
Female narrator – 4.5 Stars. Her male voices were really good. She could have easily narrated this book solo.

Male narrator – 1 cringeworthy Star

Story – dnf @ 65%

The story involves a 30-year-old talent agent and an 18-year-old coming of age American sweetheart actress. Between the age difference and professional relationship, the story has a great taboo vibe to it. Unfortunately, the male narrator’s voice and performance changed the vibe of this sexy taboo-esque story to creepy old, pervy man preying on a younger girl story for me.

RATING: 2 stars to Signed ★ ★

“You’d be a fool not to take her on."

So, I'm disappointed again. An unpopular opinion at your service for a book I desperately wanted to love but didn't. Characters I wanted to love but also didn't. But first some blurb details. 18-year-old James Rynn, leading Hollywood actress has been out of the spotlight for a fair few months after a raw break-up from her childhood co-star and boyfriend of 5 five years. She’s used to the spotlight. She’s used to stardom and scrutiny. But she’s never been under it as harshly as she is now, newly single and publicly humiliated by her recent ex. Still in pain but always striding on with a brave face, even in the face of humiliation. Showing her face for the first time since the break-up in a killer dress and a fake smile has her meeting handsome industry professional Brett Young, saving her from a fall, but whether he might soften her fall in other ways remains to be seen.

After spending a sumptuous erotic night together, Brett leaves to fly home to Miami where he runs his own agency with his three best friends and business partners. Brett is wildly attracted to the young actress, and she’s just as taken with him, but when James’s currently crumbling life spins further from her sway and out of her hands, she finds herself distraught, distressed and devastated when a proverbial spanner ruptures the seams of her circumstances. Twisting it, unraveling it and shredding it to pieces, her reputation's in trouble. Big trouble. Feeling crushed under the industry’s sentencing grip, the subject of mortification and violation, James has to suffer the consequences of living in the spotlight. Reaching an unexpected low with her head held in shame, her littered name in dregs and the world judging her. If she wasn’t a pinnacle of speculation before, the world is now ruthlessly passing judgment on James Rynn. After this latest scandal leaves not just a mark on her drowning career but one on her dignity, James is left alone and Brett nowhere to be found. My only wish is that he'd have actually left her alone.

I can see why Signed by Marni Mann is a fan favourite. It does have an allure. I loved the sharp, shapely writing style. The study felt electric and the unexpected change of pace and placement as the story's conflict takes place very early on with both the romance and the scandalous plot unfolding was a draw. The theme itself of privacy and violation was great representation. I'm always intrigued by representation. It would have worked, if the heroine expressed the necessary traits in personality that supported her argument and didn't publicise her as someone without a legitimate reason to stand up for herself. This heroine needed self love, not to be monopolised by the next man in line who was interested in her (I look at you Brett). The story evolves from there as we watch James - with the help of Brett’s agency - build herself and her career back up in a case of image reform. Even though this book isn’t a suspense, it ignited with a sense of anticipation because I did star my morning thinking about what I read. It's seductive, teasing, a bit dramatic, engaging and very readable. What I didn't particularly like was the problematic romance.

I gave this two stars because the read itself was compelling and the story comes bearing intrigue, but I would have given this a solid four star - maybe more - if I hadn’t come across some choice character decisions and content choices that just didn’t sit well with me. I'm averse to sexual manipulation and Brett seems to rely on it like a helping hand. He's a character with a strong presence. Every time I read him in a scene I felt his masculine energy. There’s no question as to the type of man he is - authoritative, firm, very alpha and assertive. He’s hardcore in business but he failed to display anything more than that. Especially within the relationship. If he had I would have favoured him more than I did. The development was sorely absent. As it was Brett and James have a strong sexual connection, but that's never all it takes to make and establish a love connection what. I wish she understood that. I wish she maintained agency and channeled her energy into being what she needed to be for herself, not readily accepting everything he tossed at her. What Brett (for me) neglected to offer James was emotional intimacy and an emotional connection. He was mostly unappealing. It was mostly him wanted to pleasure-seek his way into her favour, constantly. And her giving in to it without thought. Sex was Brett’s standard, predominant language - he needed to learn another language.

James is modest, grounded, passionately motivated with an ample-sized heart - very relatable. She has some lovely traits but they're overshadowed by other traits. I did feel for her but it's easy to lose respect for her even though I wanted to champion her. I was proud of her come the end because all she needed was the opportunity for someone to give her talent a chance despite the personal mess she was in. But she desperately needs boundaries and a solid helping of self-worth. One thing i really struggle with when reading romance is when either protagonist fails to portray their value as a potential love interest. They have to show their worth, and we have to feel it. Brett didn't show it, he was very archetypical. I preferred his heroine but my opinion of her regressed every time she had the opportunity to call him out on his behaviour and didn't. I struggle with female leads that always give in with a towel drop, lets herself weaken through seduction when the man in question doesn’t deserve her attention or has done something worthy of apology, and she doesn't collect the apology. He literally ghosted her when he thought she'd betrayed him and when they meet in person again, she lets him freely have her body. Just. Like. That. I don't even think James knows where her agency is and she lacked that kind of self-respect. At times I wondered how often she’d keep forgiving him. Brett was there for James professionally but not enough personally. Her situation considered, she should have been receiving emotional support, and Brett ticked none of those boxes. If he is emotionally present, it’s only at the end. To be an adequate hero, one has to assume the role something other than just the career-rescuer.

It could very well be that these intimacies are formed off-page during the short time lapses, which is perhaps where the problem lies. It's off-page but would it be such a problem to switch some of the many smut scenes out with something more meaningful? There was a scene for example when Brett and James have a celebratory dinner and he talks briefly about his college years - I appreciated this part because this was the kind of non-sexual intimate interaction I was waiting for, to get to know more about Brett, but unfortunately that’s all we really get. He doesn't seem capable of much more. Just judges the heroine without question, bends her over his desk after hating her, says cruel things and worms his way in through seduction. Funnily enough, I didn't actually mind the age-gap element, though it exists to emphasise an important memento: that an older man doesn't always know better. And an older man doesn't always mean a better man. I parted with this feeling really disappointed with the outcome. Marni Mann does admittedly present a touch of everything: romance, passion, conflict, angst, intrigue, drama, scandal and a bit of the forbidden. I liked the twists, the ample plot with life drama. Signedhas just a dash of mystery coiled around James’s ascent to bigger and better things as she struggles in the midst of personal disaster and professional rehabilitation. Acting is her passion and her calling. As she encounters a loathsome rival, gossip and adversity as viral stories circulate the channels of Hollywood’s milieu, this is a story of sizzling passion, heartache, public catastrophe and worthwhile success after dreadful defeat.

2 stars for its plot and development but with poor performance with the romance, relationship exploitation and poor character choices that grated along many nerve endings I couldn’t give this much more than that.

“I realise my actions that night weren’t necessarily appropriate, but it doesn’t matter who you are; we all deserve the right to privacy."

Trigger Warnings: This book has a lot of adult content including very descriptive sex scenes and erotic, steamy content. Also contains swearing.

If you’re a fan of erotic novels with a hint of taboo, buy this book! It’s hot as hell and sexy AF! Level 10 flames, folks!

I think Brett has ruined me for all others! Holy hotness, this book was everything I ever wanted! Sexy, intriguing, well written, and surprising in the very best way. Marni Mann has exceeded all expectations and gained a new fan.

The age gap is what initially drew my interest and led to my late-night purchase, but the story is just fucking amazing. It’s original and somewhat shocking. The subtle shifts that I didn’t expect make this a true gem.

The main winner, however, are the characters! First and foremost, I enjoyed the female lead, James. She’s young and makes some mistakes, but it’s expected at that age. From her name, to her physical description, to the vulnerability she exhibits throughout, I enjoyed her. While James is good, Brett is flawless. He’s what my perverted BBF dreams are made of! He’s commanding, controlling, and sexy as sin. He’s an unapologetic asshole and one the best alphas I’ve ever read.

I FLOVE HIM!

So, let me break down for you.
The storyline is intriguing.
The characters are fantastic.
The book is sexy AF!

Why are you still reading this review? GO READ THE BOOK!!

I grabbed this one #FREE in Kindle Unlimited so that’s another plus.
Recommended for fans of taboo (age gap), sexy as shit alphas, and strong female MCs.

All we’d shared was a kiss.

A fun erotic romance read with hot hot hot naughty bits. If anyone ever tries to tell you that Mari Mann doesn’t write some of the best smut, then they are liars. Of course this is truly a story about a starlet who is down and out after a scandal, and her new agent, but the plot is so much more interesting and fun than that. I didn’t expect to love the story so much. I’d label this more a contemporary erotic romance, since the story is so good!

All in all a great read.

Brett and James were so hot together there first nite together was so sexy. The chemistry was so hot even with the age gap they just worked. I did think that more of been a issue for me but it wasn't. James came across mature pretty much throughout the book she was more mature than Brett in parts. But my heart did go out to her she was a strong gir k she has been through a lot but there is only so much this girl can take. I luvd Eva she was loyal to her best friend. She stood by her no matter what she was just the best. I did like how Brett was with James to after things had gotten a lil rocky he never doubted her and I really liked that. Things were easier for them with what was goin on but they made the best from and it just show me how much they liked each other.

Signed by Marni Mann
4.5 stars!!!!

“You’d be a fool not to take her on.”

It is no secret I am a huge fan of Marni Mann. From the first time that I read her first book many, many moons ago I just clicked with her writing style and she has become a firm favourite. The more this author writes, the more I fall in love and no matter the genre she puts her mind to, she always delivers. After a run of dark reads, Marni Mann has changed it up and delivered an extremely swoon worthy contemporary romance that will leave all you ladies in a puddle. Our hero is one incredibly handsome alpha male with a filthy mouth, that never knew what he wanted until her found her. Despite the age difference, these two burn up the pages and as with any Marni Mann read, the pages literally combust, after all, this woman knows how to write a sex scene.

I work in an extremely niche area and when a book is delivered in that area I literally rub my hands in glee, so when I saw that this book was based in and around a management agency I was all in. Brett is an agent in the Acting division, he and his friends started this business from scratch and are extremely successful. Unlike some agencies, this one prides itself on sticking to the rules and delivering the very best they can for all their clients. While competitive with one and other, they all had the same goal, the agency and their clients.

Brett caught my attention from the very beginning, his persona was so intriguing that you could not help but be swept along in his hormones. Despite being insanely attractive, Brett has his standards and there are many lines he does not cross…until he meets James, who has him striding over every single one of them.

James is America’s sweetheart actress that has graced the screen since she was a little kid. She was adorable in every way and yet incredibly mature for her age. Losing her parents at a young age and the fact that she has worked for so long in the industry she has hardened to life and having been dumped by her long-time boyfriend was now trying to find her feet once again.

“No, I hired you to be in charge of my career, but you’re not allowed to manage my heart, and it makes me furious that you would even try…Every decision has been taken away from me. Don’t take that one too.”

As soon as these two meet the sparks fly and as I said above Marni Mann knows how to deliver heat, all the while embracing emotion and connection and this book is no different. The relationship that these two embark on is thrown together in the most unlikely of scenarios, but the chemistry that these two shared had both of them flailing, both emotionally and sexually.

I loved the added drama that can only be found in this industry and Marni Mann had certainly done her homework. The drama in this book, is good drama, not between the couple, but between the life they find themselves living and the people they are most unfortunate enough to come across.

“I’d been living in my closet since the alert went out. I hadn’t eaten; I hadn’t slept…my whole world was crumbling, and the people that were supposed to be helping me had completely vanished.”

With some fantastic secondary characters and a villain that you will hate with a passion, I cannot wait to see if we will be getting more books. With so many sides to the agency and each niche field the possibilities are endless. As ever, Marni Mann delivered one unputdownable book.

“I’m going to fucking devour you.”

Oooh girl! Brett Young was a BEAST in Marni Mann’s latest standalone erotic romance, SIGNED! This was my very first Marni Mann romance, and I gotta say, WHAT AN INTRODUCTION it was! I loved it so hard! Brett and James’ angst-filled, sexy as sin romance is right up my alley when it comes to this genre! SIGNED hit all my buttons and then some! It flowed so quickly for me, and it made me feel EVERYTHING that these characters were feeling…I felt like I DEVOURED this sucker whole, with absolutely no distractions. If this is the type of books that Marni Mann cranks out, I’m a fool for not finding her work sooner. A great friend recommended her work to me and I couldn’t be more grateful! And I have to say, after absolutely DEVOURING Signed, Marni Mann has definitely earned her spot on my romance radar!

“You’d be a fool not to take her on.”

A escrita dela sempre me prende e a leitura foi fluída, envolvente e cativante.

DNF. Stupid. James is stupid 18 year old but author also must be stupid. If someone treats you like garbage then man handles you with half assed apology when your life had imploded then two seconds later he screws you on conference table while a bunch of people wait for you is more stupid then I can waste my time on. page 76 is as far as I could go.......

4.5 Oscar Worthy Stars

James Ryne child star all grown up now at 18 and wanting to make it to the big screen. When one night to forget everything comes back to bite her, James is willing to do anything to straighten out her life.

Brett, willing to let the age go for just one night. That’s what he told himself. But like anything that was so darn good, you want to go back for more.

When the Hollywood scandal actress and the Hollywood agent become a hot, steamy couple, can these two right all the wrongs in James life to make the public forget and the director cast her in the role she truly deserves.

In Hollywood, you truly never know who your true friends are. They are there for all the functions, just like you. But how many are out to sabotage what you’ve worked years and years for? With the right agent, though and one as hot as Brett, you will be on the right path!!

Can’t wait to read about the others in ‘The Agency’.

Well, well, well... This one hit the spot! My first read by this author and it for sure will not be my last!

One starlet in a crisis.
One hot man who wants to make it all better for her.
One chance encounter that starts a fire that cannot be extinguished.
One scandal. One touch, one kiss, one romp in the sheets - not nearly enough.

This was flirty, oh so steamy, but also the story was darn good.
Captivating and left you wanting more of these two!
So many great characters that brought the story to life.
Can't wait to continue on with the series!

-Alicia, 5 Stars

You'd be a fool not to take her on
Because she's 18, nubile, beautiful, talented, Americas sweetheart-James Ryne. Her career is on the climb. Big Brand ads, endorsements, fashion houses vying for her attention. She's the proverbial Cinderella having the ball of her life .......and then the clock strikes 12 !!!
The shoe slips and her crown is gone, her glitter is gone, her carriage is gone, her Prince is gone and she's in tatters, hiding under her clothes in the back of her closet.
How did this all happen ? Read the book to find out !!
It's a quick, steamy, sexy read. I devoured it fast, but honestly I love marni for her previous books more. But this delectable morsel will tide you over till her next read
Enjoy!
