From New York Times Bestselling Author, S.L. Scott, comes a hot new rock star romance that will sweep you off your feet and leave you with a smile.
The rumors are true. At least where I’m concerned.
Drummers hit it harder and do it better.
Women love me and I love them. But I like to think of myself as a sensitive soul trapped in a lady-killer’s body. Not so surprisingly, I’ve been called cocky a time or two. What can I say? We can’t all be boy scouts.
Nikki Faris has thrown off my rhythm. With her red lips, smart aleck mouth, short skirts, long legs, and blue-sky eyes, the beautiful lead singer has become a complete distraction on this tour.
She loves to give me a hard time when all I want to do is give her the pleasure of my hard—time right back.
Tulsa Crow can save his pick up lines, great eight-pack abs, and cute dimples to use on someone else. My band earned their spot on The Resistance’s tour just like The Crow Brothers. I’m not going to blow it getting sidetracked by a cocky rock star that wants to sleep his way through the states. I’ve been called a name or two, but easy isn’t one of them.
But the best intentions with him turn into a walk of shame for me. Only, I don’t feel shame. Instead, I’m doing the very thing I said I wouldn’t—falling for a playboy.
We make sinful music when we’re on the road, but what happens to our melody when the tour ends?

Tomorrow is Release Day for Tulsa. Are you ready to meet his sexy bad boy?
Have you added Tulsa to your GR TBR?
“You’re so hot for me the sexual tension is palpable. You’ve got a wild side buried beneath that uptight image you’re projecting. But like any good wizard knows, it’s not what’s in front of the curtain. It’s what’s hidden behind it.” ~ Tulsa Crow
4.5 stars "I may wear white on stage, but I'm definitely a devil you don't want to dance with."
Tulsa Crow, you won my heart since turning the first page of your book. Can I please have my very own Tulsa? Like, right now? Suzie, you have a gift to write book-boyfriends that are too good to be true. You give us guys we can dream about.
"Until now, I never knew what I was missing, but she makes it easy to see. This feels like what I want. She feels like what I need."
Tulsa and Nikki's story felt like riding a free-fall tower. At one point you are shooting up, which already feels insane. But then, without a warning you fall. This sensation, this thrill what makes your heart race is what Tulsa and Nikki's love story feels like. They crash hard and fast, but as their souls seems to be bound, like they recognize each other and where waiting for the other for a long time. It all feels so natural.
"I can play live in front of twenty-thousand screaming fans, but only one woman holds the key to my destiny."
Tulsa is great. I don't have another word for him. Sure he is cocky, but he has all right to be. He's charming, ridiculously good looking and a personality that draws people in. At least if you give him a chance to open up, to be himself. As much as he is a boy who enjoys his time with woman, he's not using them. He respects them. Nikki can see through his armor and makes a beeline right for his heart. I love the way he opens up to Nikki, how he opens up to the feelings so unknown to him. For his 23 years he's more grown up than he should be at this age. But life happens and has way to form you. Tulsa is sensual and cares deeply for the people he loves. Family and music is everything to him. And so is now Nikki.
"We're the best kind of head-on collision. We crashed into love without a safety net, so there's no saving me now."
Nikki is a wonderful heroine. She's strong-willed and witty. She has her own way of dealing with cocky musicians and within the tough music business she holds her own, standing her ground. In her past she had to endure things that made her the strong woman she's today. And I respect her for what she did and what she became. She's a fighter and I enjoyed her way of falling for Tulsa. He has an incredible way of boosting her self-confidence just by being there, being him and let Nikki be herself.
"Somewhere along this tour I stopped looking for the stars and found you."
Tulsa and Nikki are perfect for each other. Their chemistry is insane and even though everything seems to happen almost too fast, it seems to be perfect for them at the same time. It just fits their personalities and makes them simply them.
Tulsa is a great story that shows if something feels this right, it can't be wrong. And if you are in love, act on it. Don't waste time.
Great rock-star romance that makes you want your very own drummer boy. Because drummers hit it harder and they do it with rhythm.
Tulsa and Nikki's story is my kind of rock star book. He's a delicious drummer and gave me all the best kind of BBF feels. Nikki was a great character that I quickly warmed to. She's the kind of character I want to be best friends with! Plenty of backbone with a little fragile. And seriously funny
He is cocky and a manwhore - what you'd expect from a world famous drummer
"My reputation precedes me. It's one I've earned notch by notch, gig after gig"
but he won me over with his swoon worthy behaviour too...
"She's my purpose. My life. My responsibility. And I will honour that, and more in the many years to come"
I couldn't read this one fast enough and definitely look forward to the next book in the series.
This was one adorably addictive read. A whirlwind romance between two musicians that takes place as their bands tour the country opening for The Resistance?! Let the giddy feels commence!!
Tulsa Crow is magnetic and charming and sexy straight out of the gate. What he is not is relationship material. So watching him fall for Nikki, the former beauty queen turned lead singer of Faris Wheel, a band The Crow Brothers will be touring with for the foreseeable future, was deliciously sweet and refreshingly out of character for him. Their secret, forbidden romance is full of steamy moments and hilarious mishaps as they evolve from strangers to friends to lovers. But their story is edged in somewhat of a foreboding tone with so much stacked against them from the start.
I love a good rock star romance and Tulsa had me glued to the page from the start. The more I read, the more I enjoyed this story. It was full of sexy banter and it had me giggling over some of the antics Tulsa and Nikki find themselves caught up in in their attempts to sneak around. But this story is also peppered with moments of heartache and loss and layered with a darker edge courtesy of Nikki's past. It's the full package and I couldn't get enough of it.
I enjoyed this book so much. It's fast paced and packed with emotion and romance and humor and music. It's entertaining and fun and unexpectedly angsty. And my favorite boys from The Resistance make several appearances in this story as they pass on their advice to the rising musicians on their tour. Tulsa is such a well done novel. SL Scott nails rock star romances every single time and Tulsa is another solid story to add to the lengthy list of must reads from this author. The romance on these pages had my heart soaring. There's just something about watching an unattainable playboy fall in love and it's made extra delicious in this book by the fact that he's in a rock band. I mean, hello, swoooooon. Tulsa is addictive and sexy and full of drama and sharp wit. I seriously loved this book and I'm DYING for Rivers book!!
They always say leave the best for last and S.L Scott has certainly done that. Tulsa is the baby brother of the Crow clan but he certainly is my favourite. His reputation has definitely had an explosive effect on my heart, leaving me devouring this book in one sitting.
Tulsa brought everything and more to the pages. His manwhore reputation and cocky attitude was perfection. But don’t let his persona fool you, he truly hides his big heart very well and that’s what made him perfect for Nikki who is his love interest in this rockstar romance. They are both warned to stay away from each other as they are both on tour in their rockstar groups together but Tulsa certainly doesn’t follow the rules and thank heavens for that.
S.L. Scott definitely knows how to write extraordinary heart melting stories. Throw in a few twists and turns and this keeps you moving right to the finish line and what a finish it was. The suspense is her forte and leaving us always second guessing what will happen.
Rockstar fans this is definitely a must read, but all Crow brothers know how to entertain you to the very end.
Brilliant 5 star read once again by Susie... she’s amazing.
I am a huge fan of S.L. Scott and have read everything she has written in the last few years and have loved them all. And books like Tulsa is the reason why. She writes emotional, heartwarming, sexy and steamy stories that engage you from beginning to end. There is not a book of hers I have read I would not highly recommend.
The Crow Brothers Band has been signed with Outlaw Records and are now touring with The Resistance. Tulsa Crow, the drummer, is the youngest Crow brother and has a reputation of a playboy. The ladies swarm to him and he does not mind, except one. The one that could change everything. He was very cocky, but he was also a good man with a big heart.
Nikki Faris is the lead singer for the upcoming band, Faris Wheel. They have also been signed by Outlaw Records and part of the tour with The Crow Brothers Band and The Resistance. I liked how strong she was and not afraid to be her own person and full of sass. She definitely did not fall at Tulsa’s feet.
As the bands are touring together, everyone is warned about ensuring nothing messes with the tour. But chemistry like Tulsa and Nikki’s cannot be denied. When Tulsa and Nikki meet, they hit it off instantly. We saw Tulsa grow so much and loved watching Tulsa and Nikki fall. They made a great team, even as they struggled and grew together. I loved the chemistry between this couple and their banter and interactions.
I absolutely loved reading Tulsa. I was captivated by this rock star romance with twist and turns, in true S.L. Scott fashion. This was a sweet story that was engaging, funny and steamy with a bit of suspense. A must-read for all lovers of rock star romances. I am very excited to get Rivers story next!
I’ve loved these rock star books series and how they are all interconnected. Seeing the guys of The Resistance along with the Crow Brothers and now we have a new band, Faris Wheel. Will we learn more about what’s happening with Laird and Lauralee in a future book?? Anyway I digress. I liked Tulsa in Spark where we were first introduced to the Crow brothers but I LOVED Tulsa in this book. Just goes to show you not to judge a book by its cover or by rumors! Nikki is not the type of woman I expected for Tulsa. She’s a badass lead singer and guitarist who can hold her own in front of a huge crowd. Talk about a strong woman! But they are perfect together and they go through a lot in this book, dealing with secrets, surprise announcements, and maybe an arrest or two! Now the question is, what’s happening with Rivers? Can’t wait to find out!
Tulsa Crow has nestled his way into my heart and I never want to let go. Nikki Faris is my new best friend and I'm not even sorry about it.
S.L. Scott has once again taken us on a magical journey. Tulsa and Nikki are fierce and strong. Their love for one another is real and raw in the most beautiful way. Their connection is pure and full of light.
Tulsa is the perfect addition to my rock star romance library and the feel good moments within the story are some of my all time favorites.
There are certain things in life that always can make you happy. They vary depending on the person. For myself, there are many things but a few stand out as being the best. It is coffee, the sound of my son's laughter, the smell of rain in the Summer, and seeing a book from my favorite author on my kindle. I'm still not sure how I discovered this author but I am forever glad I did because her words always seem to soothe a part of me just when I need it even before I knew that I needed it. So no surprise when I opened this book that again the magic of Tulsa and Nikki offered Solace to my soul just when I needed it.
Where do I even begin to describe this book without giving away spoilers? I knew Tulsa was going to be special when we first met him. His relationship with his nephew, Alfie, gave me that insight. What I didn't know was how special he was. He's a big boy (literally). This is a big book. We get to see him grow in many different ways. From being the youngest brother and fighting to have his passion/music discovered to one vacillating in being more than just a typical rockstar with a plethora of nameless groupies to choose from. I loved watching him grow into himself amidst wrestling with a few demons that appeared from his past.
Nikki. Good lord, this girl was so much more than a beauty queen face. I enjoyed watching her grow and blossom into the person she was destined to be. I loved the slow burn of watching these two discover each other without judgement. There were no pretenses but instead two friends that allowed love to grow from there.
In typical fashion, this author created a story and characters that sucked the audience in. From the first word I became immersed in the lives of the Crow brothers and the Faris family. There were laughs. There were moments that my heart melted. There were moments I fanned myself ( I might have had to check to make sure my iPad wasn't overheating). Finally, there were just moments when I found myself wishing that these characters were real.
I'm pretty positive that this author doesn't know how to write a bad leading man or his equally lovable female counterpart. Every time I tell myself that I cannot possibly love them more than the previous book. And every time I am wrong. EVERY. TIME. So I will just say again that Tulsa is my favorite of this author's leading men.... Until next time. I cannot wait for Rivers.
As always, I am forever thankful for finding this author. Her words make my world a better place. I know she is a bundle of nerves right now wondering how people are going to react to her work. She always is on every new book. I just need her to know that in typical fashion, she knocked this one out of the park (very much like her Houston Astros). I am proud to be #ForeverAScottie

4 "Darlin'" Stars
You know, ever since I read Spark, Tulsa and his easygoing nature struck a chord. I needed more of his goofiness. But especially, I wanted more of his story.
I was never all that privy to rockstar romances. But after I read my first one I was like "huh, I actually quite like this." And since then, they've been some of my favorite romances. So when I read Spark I was all heart eyes. And after, knowing there was going to be a book on each brother I all but jumped out of my seat. First Jet, then Tulsa and Rivers? Oh yeah, come to mamma. I was excited to say the least. I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. And the second Crow brother that would get my undivided attention was Tulsa.
Tulsa Crow, oh be still my heart. I honestly didn't expect for him to come in and swoop me off my feet. He was charming and endearing and an all around good man. He wasn't a womanizer per se, but there were quite enough woman that warned his bed. Yeah, he liked to have a good time and he wouldn't apologize for it. But it takes one, just one woman who might be able to change Tulsa's way.
Nikki Faris was a spitfire. She's fierce and strong and I just adored her. She brought her A game when dealing with Tulsa. These two brought the laughs. But at the same time the emotional aspect as well. Tulsa and Nikki were the perfect pair. The stars aligned to put those two together, and it worked.
S.L. I am seriously dying to have Rivers' book!!!! I am so intrigued by him and his mysteriousness. I desperately need to know more. Jet stole my heart. Tulsa captured my heart. And one thing's for sure, Rivers will no doubt own my heart. So if time can hurry the heck up so I can get my hands on his book, I'll be forever grateful.

S.L. Scott has become one of my favorite go-to authors when I want a story that will suck me in and completely enthrall me until the very last page. Her writing is flawless and her books never fail to completely blow me away. Tulsa, a standalone story that is the follow up to Spark, which continues the story of the Crow brothers whose eponymous band is just taking off, is just another example of why I love her so. This story focuses on Tulsa, the youngest Crow brother who is known as the manwhore of the band, lovin' and leavin' em every night of the week. When The Crow Brothers go out on tour as a supporting act and Tulsa takes one look at lead singer Nikki Farris of Farris Wheel (the other supporting band), he's immediately entranced by the beauty who he knows is completely off-limits. Initially thinking he's bad news based on his reputation, Nikki has no interest in the insanely sexy drummer. But as these two beautiful souls spend time together, they fall hard for one another. They keep their relationship a secret which provides for some fun, creative scenes that will make readers laugh. Their romance is hot and heavy and Tulsa is the very definition of "swoon worthy". That man is all sorts of luscious!!!
Scott loves to throw unexpected curveballs in her books and she throws some doozies into Tulsa! This creates excitement and danger which all combine to make this story one that is not to be missed. With the introduction of new characters and the reappearance of many old, beloved ones, Scott gives readers a fresh, fun, sexy story that will delight both seasoned readers and those that are new. Tulsa is definitely a must-read story!!
I thought I loved Jet Crow, but he's got nothing on Tulsa Crow!
Tulsa is a charming bad boy, up and coming rock star who just oozes sex. Even though he and the Crow Brothers are just now getting their huge break, he's never had trouble charming women out of their panties with just a heart stopping grin. And he loves the life he's living - playing the drums with his brothers, taking multiple women to bed, living it up. Until he sees a gorgeous, sassy singer with the most beautiful voice he's ever heard who just happens to be the singer in a band that's going on tour with his band as they all open up for The Resistance. Yep, those guys, the biggies in one of SL Scott's other amazing series.
Tulsa isn't like his eldest brother, Jet, who had to be responsible and serious as he took care of his family. No, Tulsa is the fun-loving brother, the one who is seemingly just in it for the fun and the music. Until he meets Nikki, who somehow sees through his playboy facade and he opens up to her, lets himself be vulnerable to her. She's tough, she's independent, and she's got demons she's fighting, thanks to someone in her past who just might make any relationship difficult that she may start with Tulsa. But she and Tulsa are magic, and inevitable. Their whirlwind fall is a wondrous thing to read - it's sexy, it's oh so emotional, and I think my heart may have just fallen even more because Tulsa and Nikki are a beautiful couple. What's not to love about two rock stars falling love?!
Thank you S.L. for Tulsa and Nikki's beautiful story. Can I have more Crow Brothers soon? Tomorrow perhaps?
4.5 Stars - Tulsa is the suave, sexy younger brother to Jet & River Crow we met in Sparks. With their first album sitting on top of the charts, it's time to realize their dreams are finally coming true and to top it off they are starting their first nationwide tour opening for the world famous band The Resistance, who had a big hand in getting the Crow brothers where they are. Nikki Ferris is not stranger to the spotlight, especially now that her band Ferris Wheel, consisting of her twin brother and cousin have been invited on the same tour as the opening act. When Tulsa spots Nikki for the first time, you can almost see Cupid in a bubble over his head pointing that arrow. - I loved Tulsa and Nikki together, S.L. Scott does an amazing job showing that there was way more to Tulsa than his man slut rep, which he earned honestly and Nikki is not just a beautiful face with trust issues. Their relationship does happen naturally and was very believable. Tulsa's romantic side will have you swooning, there's no doubt that these two belong together and are dealing with issues like a couple. No angst or drug addictions, but a villain or two, one that I understood being in the story and one that I really felt was unnecessary, however it wasn't too distracting and does show the love between the Crow Family, which is growing with every book. This story does set up the next book about River nicely and I will be waiting.
Musicians tick, hot guys tick, that to me is a very good start to a book and that's before the first paragraph is read.
This book follows another member of the Crow brothers. The first book Spark followed Jett the eldest member of the family and this second book follows Tulsa the baby brother.
In theory it could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading Spark first as this book continues where that ended just from a different brothers perspective.
Tulsa the free loving not even remotely shy sexy man beast gets under your skin quickly with his "darlin" and nose bopping antics.
He's like a flower in the wind that as the book goes on opens up and you are left gasping for breath at his true beauty.
A true flower needs water to grow and prosper and that my friends is where Nikki Farris enters the story.
The girl surrounded by darkness and demons but with still such a heavenly glow about her pagaent worthy body.
Can two beautiful musical creatures create music together without consequences and after effect ripples? only one way to answer that ...
I loved how the story is told from both perspectives you get to fall in love with both of them and that is exactly what I did.
Their musical dance played on my mind long after the book was over and now I'm left wanting to hear Rivers story!
Tulsa brings you the story of not one, but 2 rockstars! Now, full disclosure, I'm not really a fan of the rockstar romances. I think rockstars tend to be major douchebags and I just get irritated waiting for them to get over themselves. But, I love SL Scott, so I wasn't going to pass up Tulsa.
Tulsa is the drummer in brother band, The Crows. Nicki Faris is the lead singer of her sibling band, The Faris Wheel. I think both of them being rockstars made me more okay with the rockstar romance. Tulsa isn't exactly a sweet guy looking for love. But, he is hot and Nicki gets the #TulsaHaze around him. There certainly is a LOT of lust.
As these two fight the lust, they get to know each other more. They are on tour together so there is LOTS of time! But, neither wants to jeopardize their siblings and the bands' chance at success. Nicki is fierce though, so she is a good ying to Tulsa's yang! There are some light moments where Scott gives us some laughs, but there is some heavy emotional moments as well. I didn't expect to swoon over Tulsa but he totally made me fall. Boop (you will understand when you read it!)
If you aren't a rockstar romance fan, give this series a try. Honestly, Scott makes the rockstar romance work for me. Tulsa will totally win you over and now I am going to go back and read book 1 in the series, Spark, about his brother!
Tulsa is the drummer for the break out band the Crow brothers, there are still small time but they are getting bigger with every gig. Tulsa is pretty much your typical rockstar, killer good looks, killer body, killer charm. He gets laid as often as possible but never makes any lasting connections because he just wants to have fun. *Side bar, can we focus on his name for a bit, I thought it was so unique even though at first it sounded more like a girl name than a man but it grew on me fast! His brothers all have very unique names, River and Jet. I loved it! Now back to the regularly scheduled programming!* Tulsa and the rest of the Crow brothers end up opening up for another band, The resistance, this is the opportunity of a life time for them! Along with the Farris Wheels, another new band that is up and coming. The lead guitarist and sings is Nikki Farris, she basically goes through life doing what she wants, saying what she wants and not caring about what anyone has to say about it. Of course she is instantly attracted to Tulsa as is he but she thinks him arrogant, cocksure (isn't that a great word????) and oooo so sexy! They finally get together keeping it from everyone to make sure the tour goes off without a hitch. Tulsa ends up falling head over heals in love with this woman and asking her to marry him. 6 weeks into their relationship! Nikki is attacked by an ex who is crazed and refuses to let her go while Tulsa just can't keep himself from going in and out of jail for fighting..lol This was an awesome read! I would recommend to everyone!

5 SEXY DRUMMER STARS!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TULSA! This man is my EVERYTHING, sexy drummer, fun, sweet and loving. Tulsa and Nikki's story is phenomenal, with all the feels and some suspense, that will hook you on the first page. They have the perfect rock star relationship with fans and groupies. S.L. Scott has a #1 Hit with this book in my opinion, you definitely need to 1-click this one. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This book is a standalone that is also part of The Crow Brothers series. This time, we get to know Nikki and see the Tulsa we learned to love so easily in Spark.
A mixture of so much sexiness and fun, chemistry and sweetness, baggage and hope, past and future, this book was amazing!
Nikki, the lead singer of Faris Wheel, is hot, sexy, extremely talented and totally paid her dues. Even with a good background from her family, she valued the importance of hard work.
And even with all that she's been through - and she had a big baggage - she is no damsel in distress. She doesn't need to be saved, she doesn't need to be rescued. She needs to be respected and to have a hand to hold when she feels like it.
She is strong, resilient, independent and completely admirable.
And Tulsa....Oh, Tulsa.
"I'm a giver. I'd make sure she got hers first and then double down while I chase my release."
He is cocky, he is talent shaped in an perfect chiseled form, and he knows it, he is funny and laid back, he is sexy and he doesn't excuse himself for enjoying pleasure.
But he is also loyal, a good friend, hard worker. He is sexy as a great-looking-defined-8-packs-drumer, and adorable as a kid.
He is that guy that you want to pull on your lap because he is so sweet, or that you want to get on his lap because he is so yummy.
Nikki and Tulsa were a slow burn explosive romance. It was addictive and amazing as S.L. Scott can write.
Other than playing music, sex is my favorite sport, it took a lot of practice to be this perfect.
Tulsa is the stand-alone Rock Star Romance featuring Tulsa Crow of The Crow Brothers Band. Jet, Rivers and Tulsa are the Brothers Crow. Jet is the eldest, Tulsa is the youngest. They have been signed by Outlaw Records and will tour with the world famous band - The Resistance - on their US Tour. In addition, up and coming band Faris Wheel will be the opening act.
Tulsa is laid back, and has a free spirit/vibe about him. Being incredibly hot and sexy hasn’t hurt either. Life is good. Everything that he has dreamed about is coming true. The Crow Brother’s album is climbing the charts. Tulsa never lacks charm or women.
He definitely gets a lot of attention. He’s confident, cocky actually, and well aware of his good looks and the appeal of being a musician.
Faris Wheel is also a newly signed band to Outlaw Records. Their album isn’t finished yet but they have a strong following and are included on the tour. Nikki Faris is the lead singer and guitar player. She is beautiful with a style all of her own. Tulsa and Nikki don’t hit it off immediately. She thinks he’s cocky
I’ve been with a hot guy before. Been there and done him. I don’t just want hot anymore. I want substance. I want what my parents have.
What starts out as a misunderstanding on both sides blooms into more. Can Tulsa change his wicked ways? Does he want to? I will say that I was expecting something totally different from Tulsa’s story. We see a whole different side to him.
“It’s not just the outside that shines... it’s who you are on the inside.”
We are also introduced to Faris Wheel, the up and coming indie trio with a huge following. Nikki & Laird are twin siblings while Shane is their cousin. Faris Wheel have spent a few years playing large festivals. This has paid off in recognition and love from the audiences. Nikki Faris is bad ass! Beautiful and talented with a style that is all hers.
There were some situations that occurred but were resolved rather quickly. I expected Tulsa to be a wild ride but with everything that is Tulsa, expect the unexpected.
“Women. They have a way of changing us before we even realize it’s even happened.”
Up next- Rivers story. I have a feeling this is gonna be emotional and intense! Also…will we be seeing more of Faris Wheel……?
Fun forbidden/secret romance. Book two of the Crow Brothers series follows Tulsa (the youngest of the three brothers.) He isn't a stranger to women. They love him. He loves them, though never enough to settle down with. He is having too much fun playing the field. Until he meets Nikki, that is. Nikki and her band are the opening act for his band on the tour. The moment he sets eyes on the lead singer, he knows he's in trouble. There's a little back and forth between them before she finally lets her guard down and allows him in. Unfortunately her brother and cousin are also in the band, and are overly protective of her, after a horrific incident involving her ex. Tulsa and Nikki decide to keep their relationship a secret until after the tour, as they don't want to screw up their opportunity.
This series is a spin off from The Hard to Resist series. The Resistance (a highly popular rock band... in case you are unfamiliar,) plays a small role in this series, but you do not need to read it to follow. Nor do you need to read book one of this series, Spark, prior to reading this one. Though, if you intend to read the complete series, I would highly suggest reading in order to avoid spoilers. Each book features a different Crow brother and their pursuit to find love. You really get to know the brothers more as the series progresses and in this book, we're giving a little more insight into the third brother, Rivers, life and a hint about what his book might be about.
The characters are relatable and lovable. They are also complex enough to keep them interesting. While the side characters are just as great, no on really steals the show. Tulsa is pretty much the star with all his swoonworthiness. ;)
In addition to the romance, there is some mystery in the sense of what happened to Nikki in her past. I liked that while we don't get the full story until closer to the end of the book, more is revealed early on. We aren't kept in the dark entirely, (which is often the case.) There is also a little suspense. There is some humor so it isn't totally deep and dark. It's not too light-hearted though. And even balance. Of course, there is some steam. It isn't overly graphic but enough to be rated R.
In summary... this is a great 'rediscovering yourself' type of romance. Wonderfully written. (Alternating POVs.) It reads easily and smoothly.
We finally have the little Crow Brother’s story! And it’s one full of surprises!!!
Just like in Spark, we get to see a little of the gus from The Resistance and little glimpses of the others Crow Brothers.
We know Tusla is the womanizer and “less” responsible of them but also he has a big heart just waiting for the eight woman to give it to her. But it looks a little complicated now with all the fame he is getting with his new tour. He will grab attention he doesn’t want/need.
“And then she puts her hand on my bare chest, right over my heart, and I know it’s no longer mine, but hers.”
Nikki is living the dream with her brother and their cousin, opening for one of the biggest bands. She can’t risk not only her their but her bandmates’, not even for the sexy rockstar with a resistible smile and body.
The last thing they need is to get involved and ruin the tour for everybody but they are willing to take a risk, because after that has happened to them in the past when something good comes, they need to take it and hold it forever.
I loved Nikki and Tusla and everything they did to prove their love is one in a million and worth to fight for. The characters were all amazing and can’t wait for River’s story and more Crow Brothers and The Resistance.
Hero: Tulsa Crow (The Crow Brothers) Heroine: Nikki Faris (Faris Wheel)
"I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."
When it comes to rock star the first words that cross my mind are arrogant, adventurous, bold. It's in the nature of the environment they work that strings me that thought. Of course, literature has an other way to introduce us into a rock star world. And S.L. Scott knows well how to make a reader feel addicted to that world.
One tour. Three rock bands. Faris Wheel and The Crow Brothers are opening The Resistance's tour. Both bands earned their spot on the tour and have one goal only; being established on the music industry. There is one rule only, don't ruin the tour. For Tulsa Crow is a red line meant not to cross over it. To Nikki is a chance to get close to him like no one else is. For both of them this tour is kismet. They fell deep and hard for one another. Trying to put their past behind, they start to create new memories. Yet, their affair has to stay a well kept secret. Just until the tour is over.
Tulsa's story is like an uncontrolled roller coaster. There is the before Nikki Tulsa and then, there is the after Nikki Tulsa. The changes are huge on him but he kept his cocky attitude for good measure. He is such a tease. I love how upfront he is about his feelings, how supportive and caring is for the ones he loves most. Then there is Nikki. Nikki's aura is powerful. Her character is one I like seeing in a heroine. Tough past, self-assured, persistent, outspoken. The author brought the feels and the sizzle with Tulsa's and Nikki's love affair. Their chemistry between the two leaps off the charts and is inevitable not to fell in love with their story.
Tulsa is the first book I have read by S.L. Scott. After I had read the synopsis I was intrigued to see how Tulsa's and Nikki's story will unfold. Even though it lasts longer than what I was first expected, I like the storyline with the twists and turns that happened there. I was addicted to the boom from the first page. The steamy hot goodness came after and hooked my interest till the end. What I'm keeping after finish reading Tulsa? How perfectly matched Tulsa and Nikki were, and their teasing dialogues. Until next time, enjoy your free time reading great books with the most unforgettable stories.
I had a preconception of what kind of man Tulsa was going to be and at the start he fit every stereotype imaginable but the more I read I realised I was so wrong.
Sometimes two people meet at just the right time in their lives Tulsa and Nikki were just perfect for each other. Who knew Tulsa could be such a soppy romantic thoughtful tender beautiful loving man. He may not have any experience relationship wise but reading how he wooed Nikki melted my heart. Nikki is a real firecracker she’s funny and not afraid to vent her opinions. The relationships that exist in both bands are close and based on trust and family, I loved how they had each other’s backs.
This was a lot of fun to read with witty banter that made me giggle, smile and left me feeling so happy.
Reading Tulsa and Nikki’s story put a smile on my face for most of the time! I loved their bantering, bitching, flirting and their sass!
Their personalities are humorous, quick-witted and bubbling with life, and so caring about the surrounding people… Really, really heartwarming and lovable! Ms. Scott described them so vivid that I expected them so step into real life every second!
But it is not only the two main characters that make this book a terrific read. It is also the interaction between the band members within every band and the interaction between the bands too.
And do not forget about the plot. There are some unexpected twists and bumps for the protagonists to overcome before this thrilling and warm-hearted story comes to an end!
I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.
Tulsa is the baby brother of the Crow Brothers and I knew after reading Spark that I would love his story and I was right. The romance and ensuing love story between Tulsa and Nikki is a nice change from the usual angsty, anxiety-ridden, drugs/alcohol rock romances that we're all accustomed to. The slow development of their relationship was enjoyable and I really appreciated the time spent with the other characters that we've grown to love -- all 3 bands now -- lots of secondary characters with distinct personalities! Nice long book that will lead us right into Rivers story which is the one I'm most looking forward to!
Although I have read all the Resistance band books, I somehow missed Spark, the first book about the Crow Brothers Band. I will surely rectify that soon! But, oh boy, was Tulsa a great read. He is the youngest of the Crow brothers who are on tour with Resistance and another young group, Faris Wheel. Nikki Faris is the lead singer of her band, Tulsa is the drummer of his, and those sparks do fly. Right from the first time they meet, the reader can sense the chemistry. It just flew off the page, and kept going til the end! Although this is definitely a romance, one of the things I like most about S.L.Scott’s books are that they actually have a plot and a storyline. It makes the romance so much more. Now to read Jet’s book (Spark) and impatiently wait for Rivers book.
Tulsa was a very surprising read, and I mean that in the best of ways. After meeting Tulsa in Book 1 of this series, I was not expecting his story to be so sweet. Tulsa and Nikki are fabulous characters. They have chemistry, and funny banter. Their story was nearly a fairytale.
I loved the secrets and intrigue weaved in to the sweet and steamy tale of Nikki and Tulsa. It was an engaging and witty story. The second half of the book felt a bit slower than the first half, but I still had a great time reading it. It's a fun read I would recommend to any Rockstar Romance reader.
