Rhylan wasn't used to this life. The heightened senses and problems that came with them were almost too much. How could he explain that he'd been turned to his family and friends? Just the thought of trying made him sick. He had a million questions that needed to be answered, but no one to answer them. Until he met her. Another shifter. A sexy maid at the hotel he was staying at. Perhaps she knew the answers to all his problems.
Thalia had no time to waste with a man like Rhylan. After she kneed him in the groin during work, he'd blackmailed her to going out for a drink with him. Bastard. Besides, it didn't matter how attractive he was, she couldn't let her mind become distracted. She was only in this town for one reason and that was to find her brother. Every second spent with Rhylan was a second she could have spent searching for her brother.
One night couldn't hurt... could it?
Content Warning: This book contains lots of sexy shifter action. Intended for a mature audience only.
Reading wasn't always Emilia's passion, but over the years she developed an irreplaceable love for books. She writes about large, protective alpha males and their strong, sexy female mates. If you enjoy steamy shifters and fated mates, then you'll LOVE Emilia's books!
Thalia Moseby was concerned about her missing brother, Javier. Distracted, her only thought was to find him. She works as a maid in a local lodge so that she can search for him in her off-time. But her supervisor had reprimanded her about her work, and she absent-mindedly opened the next room without knocking, only to find a man in a towel, half naked! She apologized but he insisted on talking to her. He was excited at scenting another shifter who might help him. She walked away without listening, but he followed her and grabbed at her. He asked her to have a drink with him later, but she felt he was just wasting her time! So smiling nicely, she kneed him hard and slammed the room door in his face.
Rhylan returned to his room and glanced at his blinking cell phone. How could he tell his friends that he had been bitten by a shifter patient in the ER and was now turned into one too? Now the smell of blood and strong emotions set his beast into a frenzy, ready to fight or protect. He was having trouble balancing his life as a doctor and controlling the voice in his head and the strange urges coming over him. He needed guidance in how to deal with this. And the maid’s scent was making him crazy!
Rhylan saw the maid the next day, and this time he threatened to tell her supervisor if she would not talk to him. They had a drink and he asked her to ride his bike with her. When they stopped, he asked why she was in Fangway. Hearing about her missing brother, he thought of the captive shifters he, Jax, and Sydney had found being held in a barn. They were being drained of their life and soul to give magic and power to an enchantress! His gut told him that may very well be what happened to Javier – but he didn’t tell her. He asked for a picture; Thalia turned fierce when she recognized he had something specific in mind – and she insisted on going with him. Would Rhylan allow that? His wolf wanted her safe at all costs. But she needed to find her brother and nothing he said would change that. Was her brother being held? Was he already dead?
There was much more going on in this story, but the suspense in even this one piece of the story line kept the reader engaged. The characters were well developed and their strong personalities moved the story along. Bringing in characters from Book 1, continuing their investigation of missing shifters, tied the action together. This was an excellent continuation of Book 1 while focusing on Rhylan’s story and all that he is trying to deal with. Grab a copy and enjoy a well-written, exciting book!

Will he help her find Javier? Will they be too late? Will Nora help when they need her to step up? What will happen after they find her brother?
This is a fast paced, steamy story with so many twists and turns, it is hard to see them all coming until you are there. I can't wait for the next story of Javier. And Miles, is great! I wonder if he will have his own story too. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book from Booksprout.
Rhylan, is still struggling with his wolf, and Jax is to caught up in Sydney to help. When his wolf pulls him to the maid cleaning his room, he may have found someone to explain shifter life, even if he has to blackmail the tiny wolf. Thalia is the daughter of an alpha. She has spent the last year looking for her brother. Time is running our. Her arranged marriage is looming on the horizon and her fiance is on his way. Rhylan suspect Thalia's brother is being held by the Hunters. A nearly losing Thalia to them, puts Rhylan in tough with the spirits. Thing are complicated. Thalia's brother is the reason Nora is helping them. Javier is not the brothers Thalia remembers. Cordelia has a hold on him, one that not even his mate has been able to overcome. Fast paced and steamy. Loved Rhylan. Thalia, is headstrong and impulse, letting her emotions override good sense. Loved Miles, Thalia's fiance, a decent guy who feels just as trapped as Thalia. Hope he sticks around and finds his mate. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book from Booksprout. Love this author and her books are automatic buys for me. Can't wait for the next book.
This continues the wonderful series by Emilia Hartley. In this book we meet Rhylan who doesn't know how or if he can explain to his family and friends that he has been turned into a wolf shifter. he meets the maid in the hotel, Thalia, and she is the daughter of the local alpha and they are both very attracted to each other. But she is to be married and the shifter is on his way. Do Rhylan and Thalia stand a chance of a happy ever after together as these two wolves seem perfect for each other? So well written by Emilia who is an expert in writing about the paranormal and draws you into her stories so easily. I have read each book in the series in order and have enjoyed each and every one of them - especially as characters form prior books keep appearing and so we get to 'glimpse' how their own HEA's are progressing. Great story! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The story of Jax's new formed pack continues in this story and this time we find out more about the supportive, but elusive Rhyler, a recently turned MD. Rhyler is still struggling with what he had become, but at the same time he realises that he has opened up to a more spiritual world. While trying to free more shifters from the witches who use soul-magic, he meets another shifter, a woman in search for her brother, who went missing. His wolf tells him she is theirs, but as he is new to this he does not know what that means. Still fate goes its course. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is interesting, entertaining and at times quite thrilling. But without having read the first story this one would be rather difficult to understand. I am looking forward to the third story and hope it is Nora's story.
Another fantastic read by Emilia Hartley boy oh boy can this woman write a great shifter book, I was immediately drawn in from the first page right up until the end. Thalia is working as a maid at a lodge she is looking for her brother who went missing, Thalia walks in on a man who is only wearing a towel she apologises but he grabs her so she gives him a kick and walks away. Rhylan has been newly turned so when a maid barges into his room he gets excited because he can smell that she is a shifter and he only wants to talk to her. This is a fantastic read and I enjoyed it immensely, there’s so much in this story that will keep you entertained and turning the pages. I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
While I love a strong female Heroine in books, the woman in these shifter series by Emilia tend to not make the cut for me. Yes, they are strong, but strong in a stubborn, selfish, reckless way. They refuse to let a man help them, or "cage" them, or protect them. A true strong female would recognize her match in a mate, she would be smart enough to know when to stand up for herself and when to take the help for the benefit of keeping everyone safe. I just did not feel a connection with the women before this series and definitely did not feel the connection with Thalia either. While the story is good, the Heroine just falls flat for me. Anyway...I am excited to read about Nora and Javier...I think her character might be different from the others, and I just can't wait!!
I really like this series and the situation that is a deadly threat to all shifters is terrifying. I love Rhylan. He is still trying to understand how to adapt to his wolf and Jax, his alpha, isn't explaining very much of anything to him. My heart went out to him trying to figure it all out by himself. Thalia is just not a very nice person. I can understand her need to find her brother, but that doesn't explain her mean personality. She doesn't want anything to do with Rhylan until he tells her he may be able to help. Instead of being grateful, she is demanding and rude. I was really surprised that she didn't get them all killed. If anyone can find a way to make her nicer to others, it has to be Rhylan. So much action and drama that you can't be bored. I really liked the book.
Wow, I really love this series. Thalia struggles to support herself during the day and search for her brother Javier after dark. Rhylan is still trying to come to terms with his wolf and cannot control his comments and urges. Their first meeting does not endear him to Thalia and subsequent ones are even worse. At times I wanted to shake Thalia, but Rhylan perseveres with trying to get through to her. Can Thalia guilt Rhylan into helping her find Javier or will she realise the truth? Will she accept the mate bond? Action-packed scenes, determined characters what more could you ask for! I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rhylan is still trying to come to turns with his new life and after bumping into Thalia who is a made at the hotel he is staying at, now his focus is on her and is what he can do to help. Unfortunately this isn't as straight forward as Thalia has her own issues to deal with along with a great difficulty in trusting anyone no less a shifter. I really like how we still have our underlying story going and how these new characters are all linked to it in some way and wow is there a few surprises I did not seeing coming in this book!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a bit different than other shifter books I am used to reading. I liked that most characters in this story were recently turned and were still trying to figure out where they would go from that point on. There were also the shifter born characters that helped distinguish them all but at the same time it brought them closer. I do hope it all works out for her brother though. And although there wasn't much of Miles, I would love to see what becomes of him and his life journey too.

A sweet romance between wolf shifters. Rhylan is struggling to become one with his wolf because he is new to it. He is also new to be the alpha of his pack. Thalia has been seeking her brother for half a year and she is now in the same town as Rhylan and his pack. Rhylan is immediately attracted and drawn to her and he knows she is his mate. But Thalia closes her feelings of as much as she can because her priority is to find her brother. A story with chemistry, friendship, trust, shifters, humans, fianceé and a lot more. It has drama, mystery, chemistry, passion, a few hot scenes and twists in it. Worth the read.
To be honest Thalia, the heroine, spoiled the story for me. Rhylan made the mistake of "forcing" a date with Thalia and he paid for it for most of the book. She didn't only treated him badly, she was combative, rude, impulsive to the point she didn't only got herself in grave danger but Rhylan and his pack too. She had sex with him, using his love for her and the fact that he believed her to be his fated mate to make him helper save her brother. And to top it all off she had a fiance back home that she never bother to tell Rhylan until he showed up at her door. This is a book I wont be rereading again.
After being turned, Rhylan is struggling to make his two sides work together. Thalia has been searching for her brother, determined that something happened to him. Will Rhylan learn to work with his wolf? Will Thalia find her brother?
I loved how determined both characters were. There were times that I definitely thought that Thalia was being extremely stubborn, but her loyalty knew no bonds. Loved how Rhylan still wanted to help others despite the predicament he was in. Great read and cannot wait for more from Emilia Hartley!

This is the second book in the series and just as good as the first It has a great story-line with characters that draw you into their story. that keeps you wanting to read more. I couldn't put this book down and read it in one session. If you also enjoy Paranormal Romance bout shifter then you will truly enjoy this series. I was totally unprepared for this book. To begin with I thought surely Thalia and Raylan would never get together, she was so stubborn and he was an Alfa that had no idea what was really going on. Then to be paired up against a soul stealing witch was never going to turn in their favor. Will Thalias brother ever be right and will anyone ever destroy that witch? I can't wait to find out!
A well written, fast paced book set in the shifter world. Drama abounds with multiple players and hidden secrets. The two main characters are very interesting and perfectly matched. I have to wonder if there's more to Miles than we're seeing given his actions near the end of the book. Nora is also very interesting and intriguing. I can't wait to read about Javi.

Rylan: The Lost Wolves Book 2 by Emilia Hartley is the second stand alone book in this series that is set in a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I was quite surprised by the unusual interactions between Rylan and his small group of shifters. This book is a true story of doing what is right rather than what is safe or easy. I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a story of paranormal love with lots of danger and adventure.
Book three in the Lost Wolves series and I could not put it down I found it to be a well-written story. There is suspense, danger, drama, one very evil woman, and a love story. When this series is finished I know I will be rereading it.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Second book in the series of shifters. She’s looking for her missing brother. Working as a maid she just find a lot more trouble than she expected. Trouble’s name is Rhylan. and he isn’t taking no for an answer. The story continues with the shifters who have been kidnapped by a witch who is using their souls. Mystery and romance.
