Part of getting hired at my sweet corporate digs right out of law school demanded I take a pro bono case at least once a year as a new associate. It was by far the worst part of my job… Little miss unicorn hair and candy ass full of attitude had to be the worst client ever in the state of New York. I wouldn’t have minded good old Judge Matlock sending her off for her punishment, but I never expected he’d be sending her off with me as her new babysitter. Two short weeks and I could get rid of the brat… at least that’s the story I kept telling my dick which was all too eager to jump ship in my fancy suit.

Mom had no use for my antics. Call it a last ditch teenage rebellion against her wedded nuptials to my handsy stepdad. Too bad it was more of a wrong time, wrong place, and extremely bad friends who landed my rear behind bars with the hookers and pushers. I swear I didn’t shoplift but tell that to the judge. Now I’m stuck with a surly lawyer whose gotta be twice my age (actually only nine years but who's counting!) and grumpier than a bear with a thorn in his paw.

Quick and fun read
This is the first time I have read this author and figured that a little tidbit of a story would be the way to get a feel for the writing. I was not disappointed and this story was fun and flirty.
The h, Olivia, is just shy of her 18th birthday and ends up in some legal trouble. The H, Alex, is a lawyer who has been assigned her case as pro-bono work from his firm. Turns out little Olivia has quite the bit of attitude and can come back with some funny one-liners that she says under her breath. So some sparks fly right from the start as does their attraction.
I really liked the fact that this book, and it appears the 2 other books in the Filthy Friends series, are quick reads that you can do on lunch and still have time to eat. I will be reading the 2 other books and exploring more of what this author has written.

This was a very quick read. Quite enjoyable though. I usually do not include information that gives anything of the plot away, however with this being so condensed, it is difficult to avoid. The chemistry between them seemed apparent immediately with the tension between them. But the protectiveness that Alex immediately felt for this female version of his younger self when she was so blatantly abandoned by everyone spoke to his character (despite the attempt to show him as a strictly business, hard nosed young attorney). The attempts that they each displayed to counteract the $€×ual tension between them were rather comical. I greatly appreciated the epologue that filled in gaps and rounded out the storyline. Overall, I definately recommend this as a quicky read if you need a little pick me up.

Olivia couldn't catch a break. At first I thought the step dad was handsy with her by the way the description made it look but nope.
Then there is Alex the attorney assigned to her shop lifting case. Note to readers no spoilers on the real culprit.
Parents not wanting her around passed her off two weeks before her eighteenth birthday said throw her in lock up. Boy ou boy.
Alex and the judge have a history so bing bang boom hes convinced to take on the girl with multicolored hair and skimpy clothes.
All that changes. Two weeks go by in a flash just the turn of a page. Next hot sticky sex. Then flash again married and expecting their first child. Wow that was a quick read.

Wonderfully beautiful

This was a wonderful short. The characters are believable and their mutual chemistry is hot and beautiful.
I did however see that there's a lesson to be found in this story, and luckily it won't take you to long to find out.
In some cases I find that age is a big factor, and it only comes into play. As long as both sides are consenting and there's nothing to hinder their judgment, I have no problem.
I do believe that since this the first time I've ever read anything by this author before. It definitely won't be the last.

Alex is the lawyer appointed to handle a pro bono case that happens to be for Olivia, a slightly troubled teenager. Alex seemed like a typical twenty-something man, thinking with his d*** most times while still getting the important things done. Olivia seems like she just needed more attention and guidance. Both seemed immature at times, yeah I know 17 yo girl with abandonment issues and a 29 yo lawyer that is reminiscent of a frat boy, but at times I was rolling my eyes at what they said.
But there was an undeniable attraction between them and on her 18th birthday Alex can't hold out anymore.

Our heroine got caught shoplifting and her court appointed councilor is annoyed with her lack of remorse. Then she ends up as his ward.
This is short romance story with a small bit of an age gap. The story is very well written with a straight forward plot that is easy to read. What stood out to me were the characters. For such a short read, they really got under my skin. I think I found them to be solid, well developed and realistic with solid chemistry that made the story a delight to read. Perfect for a nice evening read.

Olivia and Alex meet when he is stuck dealing with her case of shoplifting. Olivia is not having the best luck and when her friends sell her out to save their own butts and then her parents refuse to take her in she is forced to live with Alex for two weeks until she is 18 instead if prison. These two are like oil and water at first but soon the chemistry is too much to deny. When they finally get together its explosive and life changing. The story was short and sweet with the perfect amount of steam.

I give this book 2,5 stars because it was too short and you don’t get enough background on especially the lawyer Alex Hall so he becomes kind of bland and he is described as grouchy and horny and very breast fixated. He is 26. Olivia is 17(2 weeks from 18) when she becomes Alex’s ward and has to move in with him for the 2 weeks until she is 18. Her mother and her stepfather doesn’t care about what happens to her and they leave her in court.
Well I am not really crazy about the story.

This was a cute little romance that had low drama and lots of sweet romance. The story takes off immediately with Alex having custody of Olivia after her mom and skeezy stepdad abandoned her in court.

This was a short inst-love/lust story about Alex, a lawyer who has to 'babysit' Oliva, an almost 18 year old accused of shoplifting. It was an ok read but I didn't really connect with the characters. There was no background history about either character to give you an understanding as to what brings them to their current position in life. Maybe if I had read the previous book?

This was my first time reading a book by this author. It was a quick and hot read perfect to read during a short coffee break. It had insta-love between Alex and Olivia.
I wished that characters were more developed and it also didn’t feel like Nate is much older than Olivia since he seemed a bit immature.
Other than that, if you’re in a mood for a quick and steamy read to pass time this should do it!

Second book I have read from this author and I am glad that I grabbed. It is fairly short so you can grab it and finish it in no time. WE have Alex who is demoted to pro bono work and ends up baby sitting a brat, but a hot brat. And to top it off he is lusting after her but she is not 18 yet making a little hard-yup for him..2 weeks that is it, will he make it?..Grab a copy and enjoy!

This is the 4th book I've read written by Rachel Everly; she has done a great job at writing a short story; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Talk about insta love and a fast burn. From hating each other to marriage and a baby in record time.. A sweet romance in a lot of ways. A triple colored hair pro-bono client and a hot shot lawyer. Fun and steamy. A cute, quick read without a lot of depth. I read an arc copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review.

For being a short story I liked it! The focus was on Olivia and Alexs relationship! How they met and where they end up! Would have been interesting with a full lenght story with these caracters as I liked the way their intereactions and chemestry was described.

A wonderful short story of a lawyer who has to take on a pro bono cast of a minor of seventeen, two weeks why of turning eighteen.

Alex was assigned a pro bono case but got so much more. Olivia was abandoned by her parents at the court and Alex was assigned to keep her out of trouble for the next two weeks until she turns eighteen. Alex is attracted to Olivia but can't act on it, Olivia is attracted to Alex but is unsure of what to do. They hookup after she turns eighteen and never look back.

This is a short but sexy read!!! Olivia ends up living with Alex until she is 18 years old. Only two weeks. Will she make it?? Their relationship starts as a very slow burn till it gets explosive. So much chemistry. A MUST read!!

This is a short hot read with age play involved. Yes, Alex is older than Olivia is but that's not the point. The point is the heart wants what the heart wants and in this case they get it quickly. If age play is not something you enjoy reading, this is not the book for you

To rushed!
3.5 stars and only because I loved the guy on the cover!
To rushed, they liked each other or wanted each other right away. I would of preferred if this was longer so we could of gotten a slow burn love.

This short story was pretty steamy and had an HEA ending. The conclusion was a bit more idealic than I expected since there was much more heat than romance in the story.

Loved this short story about how an ornery young woman can steal the heart of a hard-assed man. Judge Matlock could see how she would end up helping him settle down. Great short romance!

She is having a bad year. First her mom and stepdad and then being accused of something she did not do and thrown in jail. Then a bad tempered lawyer is her guardian now. She is two weeks away from legal age. Then lookout. Hot sex, marriage, pregnancy and so much more. It is a short enjoyable read. I received a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
