~~~Being Bad Never Felt So Good~~~
Being bad never felt so good.
I fell for Ally the moment I saw her. Who doesn’t like a confident, intelligent woman with curves I could spend days exploring?
Who am I kidding?
I have.
Many times.
Our story ended abruptly when she packed her bags and left like we weren’t meant to be. We are. So I’m calling her bluff. That’s how I ended up thousands of miles from home, standing next to a man who claims to be her fiancé.
Being good has never felt so bad.
When it comes to a successful man with an incredible body and biteable jaw aka Hutton . . . let’s just say willpower is not my strong suit.
Need more?
Try bad-boy American.
You’re welcome.
Embracing my newfound good girl status, I do the right thing to start my reign. My desires no longer matter. The monarchy, the people, and my country do. There is no place for love in this new life.
But I never expected to see him again, much less standing next to my royally appointed soon-to-be fiancé.
As if that didn’t complicate things, he’s wearing a perfectly tailored tuxedo and my favorite smirk. I straighten my crown and adjust my dress, realizing this good girl never stood a chance. I’ll take the bad reputation if I get him.
This is just what my heart needed!
Scott nails the second chance trope in this steamy tale of two people from opposite worlds. This royal romance is royally fantastic with laugh-out-loud humor, dirty scenes to make you blush, and, above all, a love story you’ll find impossible to forget.
Hutton Everest is rich. He’s gorgeous. I’ll even venture out and say he’s perfect. The object of his affection is Ally Edwards—a bad girl princess that stole my heart as much as Hutton! The chemistry between these two is fire and I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough to get more of this sexy duo.
Bad Reputation is exactly what I want in a read. It’s also everything I’m craving in a cuddle-up-and-binge-read kind of read.
You won’t go wrong with this delicious tale from S.L. Scott. Her take on royal romance is truly unique (and divine!).
REVIEW: 4 STARS
"There's nothing rational about we've become so fast, but it doesn't scare me. Time is a number. I'm good with numbers and facts."
My FIRST book by SL Scott and now I matter of factly know that I have an arsenal of books to catch up on!! I have been purchasing and promoting her releases on my blog because they have always sounded so good, I just never had time to jump on a tour or squeeze one in and now that I have read her, I know that needs to be remedied!!
TALKING POINTS:
Ok....so this is billed as a standalone, but for those that love the WHOLE story and like to read in order, this follows Everest, which is Hutton's brother's story. But, saying that, I didn't get any spoilers nor did I feel like I was missing any part of the story whatsoever. In my opinion, this was the way to write a standalone in an interconnected series. If anything , it made me want to read Everest sooner than later to get HIS story! I loved meeting Ethan and Singer, but am completely excited to read Bennett's now too.
Also, the cover....hot, right? So much so and I agree. But I feel like it was a title aimed towards Ally, but with the cover of Hutton. It was an interesting mix of cover and title and how it played into the whole story.
I got to feel a love that seemed impossible. I got to read about a man that knew what he wanted and wasn't taking no for an answer. I got to fall in love with a heroine that had a pretty strong lead in this book, and she was quite admirable. This one just worked all around for me!! Hutton was absolutely delicious for all that he was. He was a successful man, but of course....you know how they do: PLAYER!! Well, that was most definitely not who Hutton was. Hutton's voice was very distinguishing. It was so easy to feel the alpha in him, but so good to see the man underneath that was so desperately in love with his girl. He had the outward appearances down pat, but the crux of who he was on the inside was completely and happily discovered by Ally. I think it was much to his shock and amusement that she did too, and that was wonderful to witness. I loved watching him fall in love, but the treat for me was watching Ally come to terms with her own strength - and not the one she was born and raised to be. There was an exploration of love between these two that wasn't supposed to happen, so seeing the fight brought out in these characters was awesome. A love that was determined to win.
Nothing like settling into a fairytale and holding on throughout the smiles. This wasn't a heavy book, by any means. It wasn't angsty in the slightest. What it was was a light and fun, easy read. One that I would happily recommend for after the heavy, heart hitting, emotional reads or if you need a feel good, sweet and sexy read to keep you on a book high. SL Scott will be a new first pick for me to grab when I need a great storyline with a comfortable flow. This book was such a great introduction to her style and voice for me. Her voice wasn't muddled, her characters were well fleshed out, and her storyline wasn't overly dramatic - which I completely appreciate. All in all, I cannot wait to read more from her! This was most definitely a win for me in terms of reading a new to me author.
The Everest brothers know how to find trouble but always the best kind. For Hutton, it’s going to be a journey filled of royal proportions.
That hangs in the air like a scent of scandal and forbidden romance. Being bad never felt so good and Hutton and Ally are going to learn it the hard way.
Everything started in bar, Young and wild and free, with such sexual tension in the air. It was definitely smoking hot and what supposed to be a one night stand turned into something more. A Halloween party, a slipper that fit perfectly to Ally, a sensual dance later and these two got it bad but she was still holding back.
Ally was raised to be a queen, but too wild and untamed to fit into the social etiquette. I was really surprised about how her country was ruled. I meant the women held the power and managed their country with strong hands. I really appreciated it, so unusual.
While her parents were occupied with their royal duties, and couldn’t be there like a child needed them and her relationship with them were strained. Even with her siblings who got into the line. I loved her witty and spontaneous personality, she was strong and brave. Not looking for love when she had to be sent away. Torn between her future role as a queen and her love for a commoner.
I was so rooting for them. Wanting for Hutton to fight for her to let her came into her senses. They frustrated me a lot with all that foreplay. Hot and heartbreaking at the same time.
Have ever met the Everests? When they love, there’s nothing that could stop them to get what they wants. Even a very stubborn princess. Hutton was… the freaking sight. He was determined to show her how much they belonged together, in spite of all the obstacles in their way. He was loyal, protective, caring for his family and so supportive. Loving big and fiercely.
I fell in love with Ethan in Everest, but discovering now the whole family, I felt the same way with Hutton. I adored this modern fairytale version, making me believe that love sometimes can conquer all. Yes there was insta-love, and things escalated very quickly but I was utterly drawn to Hutton and Ally’s passionate story. It was fun, sexy and so swoon worthy. It put me sparkles in my eyes and sun in my heart. Can’t wait for the last Everest to meet his match.
Hutton Everest is Prince Charming personified ❤️❤️❤️
As little girls we all dream of finding our Prince Charming, right?!? The one that will sweep us off our feet. The one that will protect us from evil. The one that will understand you like no one else and make you feel like the most important person in the world. Ms. Scott gives us all these gooey, wonderful things in a modern-day fairy tale that will have your heart fluttering.
Hutton is popular with the ladies, why wouldn’t he be?!?! He’s handsome, charming, successful and an all-around decent guy. I loved these qualities about him, but do you know what I loved even more? He wasn’t an ass, that can get old quick. He wasn’t cocky and full of himself. Hutton could have been all those things considering he could have any woman he wanted, but he was honest and endearing. He put his heart on the line because he felt something special with Ally. No playing games, just love and admiration.
Ally is wise beyond her years. She has been groomed since birth to take on the weight of her world, literally. It’s a role she takes very seriously and when Hutton starts pushing for more, she finds herself caught between two worlds. Her dedication to her family is unwavering, but how can she possibly deny her heart the love and joy she feels when her and Hutton are together?!?! I admire Ally so much. The choices she has to make in life are tough, but she doesn't complain, she holds her head high. She’s smart, sensitive and her sense of self is strong.
Hutton and Ally make sense. I love these two being bad together. If this is what being wrong is, I don’t want to be right! Ms. Scott has proven once again that she can captivate my heart while swooning for her leading man. The passion and heart she brings to her characters is the stuff made of fairy tales. This journey makes you believe in love and finding that special Prince to ride off into the sunset with. If that doesn’t put a smile on your face, I don’t know what will.
Holy wow! What a wild angsty ride this was. This book had me gasping in disbelief a couple of times then swooning with the feels in the next breath.
PicsArt_12-02-05.32.30.jpg
Hutton Everest was a numbers guy for his brother's multi-million dollar company. He was also sexy and hard to resist.
Ally Edward's has a secret. One that will tear them apart before they rely get a chance to get started. Unless she can convince her royal parents otherwise.
PicsArt_12-02-07.54.21.jpg
I loved the relationship that developed between Ally and Hutton. They were both out of their element but willing to try for their happily ever after. It seemed throughout that there were obstacles to overcome. Whether it was her self doubt in being able to have both him and the crown or the arranged marriage set by her parents to her parents themselves. There was lots of angsty goodness to be had.
This is a must read! Those Everest brothers are almost as sexy as the Crow Brothers. I fell in love with Ethan and swoony lust with Hutton. I can't wait to see what happens with Bennett! #iclimbedmteverest
"This time, I'm not leaving anything to chance because we may have been fate, but it's up to us to create our destiny."
I'm so sorry I didn't love this book more. I know it deserves a lot more love but tbh it just didn't get to me like I expected. After loving Ethan's book so much I had high expectations for Hutton's book. However, that's the thing with expectations, sometimes it's hard to meet them.
"You're the fairy-tale ending I wish I could have."
Nevertheless I enjoyed reading this fairy-tale lovestory. Hutton is as selfless as his older brother, and if an Everest brother falls in love he falls fast, deep and endless. And with Ally he found his match. She challenges and completes him at the same time.
"If our relationship is doomed to go up in flames, we might as well be the ones who start the fire."
Ally is a lovely heroine. Her soul is split between her upbringing and what she's supposed to believe and live by and between who she really is and wants to be. Falling in love with Hutton only made the battle between these opposites worse. But he stands by her side and together they fight against those obstacles with ease.
"Hutton Everest is a bright knight in my dark nights."
What I didn't like about the book was that everything seemed to go too smooth. I missed something that was really gripping me. And the end felt rushed to me, I wish there were some more explaining of how things ended up and why.
I don't know what it was that made me feel a little distant towards Ally and Hutton even though they are both very charismatic and lovable. I guess it's just me. So please, if you want to meet both and the blurb intrigues you, don't hold back and give Hutton and Ally a chance.
"The broken pieces of my spirit are collected in his embracing love, and my soul feels right again."
Bad Raputation is a lovely modern fairy-tale where the princess found her prince charming, learning that being bad together only makes the world brighter, more interesting and definitely hot as hell.
Not counting regency or historical romance, this is my first "royalty" romance read. And what a great introduction to the contemporary "royalty" romance trope. From the moment we meet Hutton Everest and through his eyes meet Ally Edwards, we know a very important connection has been made. Following this incredible "meet-cute", Hutton and Ally continue to build a no-strings attachment, that is until it isn't. No strings that is. Entangled in emotions that neither expected to feel, real life becomes a major barrier.
Together and a part, these two are fabulous and oh so perfect for each other. What I love is that while it may seem, we may assume that it's Hutton that is the rebel, the one with a bad reputation, Ally has had her share of scandals. Deserved or not, Ally pushes the envelope and suffers the consequences. But these two really do share fundamental characteristics. When Hutton describes Ally "She’s a free spirit with a kind heart. Playful. Clever. Vivacious. Gentle. Quiet. Introspective. She’s every color of the rainbow and a myriad of emotions in the span of a few hours, tenderhearted before me now.", all I could think was, wow, this man is the ultimate romantic. I found myself falling for him early one and his treatment of Ally is so genuine and sincere. But the thing is, as we watch him with Ally it's all too apparent this is also who he is.
In Bad Reputation, Scott gives us a fun and sexy read driven by the drama inherent in Ally's life. There are plenty of villains to create strife but the story is perfectly balanced and the dialogue serves to show us who the characters are, both main and secondary. I was very happy with the ups and downs as at times I feared the worst, but Scott guides us through these moments to give Hutton and Ally the royal HEA they deserve.
I really don't know how to start this review as I've loved every book I've read by this author and she's one of my favorites; one who I will always buy her books and read but somehow this one didn't really fully capture me. Don't get me wrong, I think it was a different story than what I've read before but I just didn't feel it entirely, there was something that I seemed to be missing. Even though the more I read, the more I started enjoying it and got more of a feel. I'd definitely still recommend it.
Hutton and Ally have this chemistry that they've never felt before. The more time they spend together, the deeper their connection seems to get but Ally hides a big part of herself and when she needs to leave town for good. Hutton doesn't have any choice but to try and move on but even though some time passes and he tries to make a new start, he can't seem to forget about her. When he finds out her true identity, he'll try to reconnect but it isn't easy when Ally is destined for something big in her future. Will both succeed to find their way?...
Let me first start by saying I enjoyed this book a lot but God did I struggle to get into this book, it was very slow to start and I was wondering when the book would fire up and take hold of my interest. I'm saying it was slow it wasn't bad. I didn't not want to finished it. I just wanted it to hurry up.
I got my wish as the book hit around 40% and an awesome story sprang from the pages. Hutton and Ally's story is a strange but good one and I suppose you have to read the beginning to get to the end that was just brilliant and beautiful. I really can't explain anything just know it's one of the best fairytales I have read.
This is a fantastic modern day fairytale and one that you will really enjoy. It was slow for me but I ended up completely loving it and the end is just mind-blowing and I will never forget it.
I loved this concept of the story where she is someone who has "higher" status in society. Ally and Hutton have incredible chemistry which is hard to deny. Everytime they were near each other you could feel the want in the air. I loved that he refused to give her up and at the end of the day got the love of his life.
I liked that she was willing to sacrifice her happiness but I loved the fact that she didn't have to.
I'm looking forward to seeing what S.L.Scott has in store for the next Everest brother 😉
Bad Reputation by S.L. Scott was everything I expected and so much more! You can never go wrong with an S.L. Scott book. I have been a huge fan and she is a 1-click author for me! In Bad Reputation, we have Hutton Everest’s story and what a story it was! This was a second chance romance where being bad felt so, so good!
Hutton and Ally met at a bar and shared an instant attraction. A one-night stand turned into more, but always light and fun with no strings. Just when it could be more, Ally was gone. But Hutton could not let her go so easily. But Ally has a secret that changes everything. But not even a crown could stand between Hutton and the woman he wanted.
I loved Hutton! He may be a bad boy who is cocky and determined, but he can also be very caring. Ally was fun, smart and beautiful, but she also had a huge responsibility and when the time came, she had to step up. Hutton and Ally had so many obstacles thrown at them, and yet the chemistry between them was undeniable.
I absolutely loved Bad Reputation by S.L. Scott. A second chance romance with a fairytale feel to it. Hutton and Ally were great together and I just loved their journey. This is S.L. Scott, so there is definitely some angst, but also a sweet story with all the feels! I absolutely loved this book!
Being bad never felt so good.
SL Scott brings us a second chance, royal, stand-alone romance. Bad Reputation features Hutton Everest. We have already met Hutton’s brother, Ethan, in the romantic suspense Everest. There is just something about those Everest men!
“Relationships are messy.”
It starts out as a chance meeting, an intense attraction with smoldering heat. Fate meets destiny as Hutton meets Ally in a sweet scene on Halloween (no spoilers!). They become…more. They meet up and at first it is all about the chemistry! #SexyTimes - While that is growing and smoldering, so are their feelings toward each other.
We’ve been lying to ourselves and each other. We’re more than what we said. We’re what we felt inside but never shared.
Hutton was a surprise. I expected one thing and got something totally different! I was not disappointed! He is alpha, direct, and of course, gorgeous! Ally is a woman with a lot of power. Hutton is confident in a way that allows him to respect and yield to that power.
And Ally! I loved her! She is confident, unpretentious, thoughtful and determined. Ally also exudes innocence and trust. She had a role in life that she was born into. A path to follow. One that she is determined to fulfill. But life gets in their way. Rules and reputations get caught in the mix of perceptions!
“We used to be a lot simpler.” “Yes, it used to be. But now? Since my lips have tasted yours? It’s no longer simple.”
Bad Reputation is a light and fun read. It is romantic with lots of “royal” references. You will devour the pages quickly! There were several surprising moments that I did not expect. And, we get a visit from our favorite rock band- The Crow Brothers! I enjoyed Bad Reputation and I wonder….There is still one Everest brother left…Can’t wait to see if Bennett can be tamed!
“Are you lost?” “Endlessly without you.”
Hutton Everest is one rich, hot perfect man!!! Lana~White Hot Reads
Who knew having a bad reputation could be so thrilling. Ally Edwards knows a thing or two about having a bad reputation but its the way so conducts herself that shows she cares. The instant connection between Hutton and Ally is all consuming and the chemistry between these two is smoking hot. When Ally has to leave unexpectedly she shows Hutton that she will always love him despite the distance and circumstance in which she leaves. Hutton is thrown for a loop but is determined to get the girl. This book was amazing and I have to say is the Everest brothers are total swoon worthy!!!
I'm a romantic reader through and through who most of all loves the beginning of the stories. The first time two lovers find the electricity between them, the built of the chemistry slow or fast, the path that they take together that helps me feel connected to them.
So colored me disappointed when in the epilog they met and it's was exactly how I like it, my expectations were sky high but suddenly from the first chapter all this was taken away from me and I'm dropped smak dab ten months into their so called relationship.
How am I supposed to feel related to them now? To understand the conflicts between them so early in the story?
I tried to continue but the jucy stuff was missing so I skipped a lot until the dfn.
Sorry not my trop.
Other readers who don't care about this trop will enjoy their story very much.
This book was so unexpected it wasn't at all what I thought It would and that's not a bad thing because I love when an author surprises you.
With Hutton and Ally the readers get a new modern take on a royal romance book which I really enjoyed. There is laughs along the way of this sweet romantic tale and it's steamy and passionate. Hutton will make you swoon I just love when a male character isn't afraid to show how much he loves his woman without losing his own identity. The same goes for Ally she loves with a passion that leaps of the page.
If your looking for a fun quirky but passionate love story this book is for you.
Ally and Hutton made a great matchup. I liked both equally. A second chance romance that includes a sassy and smart, but highly vulnerable royal and a possessive and protective hero.
There's chemistry, heat and an entertaining storyline. Fun-to-read!
I can't help it but every time I see the cover Taylor Swift's song Bad Reputation runs through mind as though it's the theme song for this book. I almost think it is after reading it.
Bad Reputation brings us Hutton Everest at his best. Like his brother Ethan there's a lot on the line. He met the one. He fell for her in a crowded bar. That was the easy part. Nothing after that is easy.
It's not easy but it's sweet and supporting and everything you want in a partner. Hutton is a keeper - in every way....
I liked Ally and Hutton, they were perfect for each other. Yet they come from very different places : Ally is royalty, heir to a fictional country, and Hutton is Ethan Everest’s younger brother and a businessman. Their worlds collide after a chance encounter.
Ally is a highly likeable character: smart, funny, sassy, and oh so vulnerable. She is a modern princess, but her life is not really a fairy tale. She is bound by duty and family. I loved her independent streak but also liked how she accepted her duties to her country. Yet she lets herself have some fun taking what she wants regardless of the rules.
Hutton Everest is an endearing hero: understanding, patient, protective and a little possessive. I loved how he constantly displayed his love and devotion to Ally. He wants to give their relationship a chance. Ally isn’t just a blip on his dating radar.
New challenges, and precarious situations will test Ally’s abilities to her future position.
This charming romance is sweet and packs just the right amount of steam. It combines nicely the fantasy aspect of royalty romance and the conflicts that affect a modern royal, related to the heavy burden of responsibilities, obligations, and constant media spotlight. The plot was a bit slow for my liking at times, but overall this was an entertaining and cute read.
Hutton and Ally were sheer perfection.
Full review to come.
So a while back, SL Scott teased with a short story that ended with a bang and I love that she's added to that and given us the REST of the story. Now, have no fear, if you didn't read that story - you can still 100 percent read Bad Reputation as a stand alone. Bad Reputation is a tale of second chance romance with a twist.
Bad Reputation is Hutton Everest's story and man is it amazing in all it's unexpected deliciousness. Hutton finds himself having fallen for a woman who left him after an unexpected truth bomb - a woman who believes she can't have him. But Hutton Everest is not a man who gives up without putting forth his best effort and Hutton is determined that Ally will be his.
Ally's got a lot going on in her life, things she isn't proud of, things she doesn't want to face, and a bundle of emotions that are tearing her a part inside. Ally finds herself torn between what she feels are her responsibilities and what she craves and truly wants in her life. Just when she's the most torn - Hutton shows up in her life again and further complicates those feelings.
The characters of Ally and Hutton are both fun and interesting, they'll not only draw you in to their story, they'll have you feeling all the things. Watch as these two maneuver through obstacles one would never expect to face on the path to happily ever after and do so with humor and grace and a bit of tension.
S.L. Scott delivers a uniquely fun tale of royal romance within the pages of this book, with bouts of humor, a touch of frustration, and two characters with chemistry that could burn down the palace, Bad Reputation is everything you could ask for and more.
Hutton Everest is gorgeous. Rich. A certified player. Then he took one look at a gorgeous woman in a bar, and fell. Boom. Done for. But, not really, because the gorgeous woman isn't in town permanently. No, she's just having some fun before she has to go because life. Her life is meant to be the kind we all wish for - full of castles and crowns and fairy tale stuff like that. Of course, Hutton doesn't know this, and he falls for her, hard. Can a royal be with a commoner, even a rich commoner? Probably not...unless Hutton and Ally fight for their love. Stand up to her distant parents and fight. Fight for each other and themselves.
Bad Reputation is probably the best thing by S.L. Scott that I've ever read, and I've read a lot of GREAT, EXCELLENT stuff by her. But this? This is even better. It takes the royal romance and turns it on its head in the best possible way. It takes the billionaire romance and turns it on its head, too. Hutton is soooo swoony. He's definitely an Everest. But the best kind of Everest. He's super smart, and when he loves, he loves hard and doesn't mess around, even though what he and Ally had started out as just some fun. And Ally? Ooooh, she's amazing! Talk about a heroine for the ages. She's what all heroines (royals and otherwise) should be - sweet, strong, sassy and head over heels in love with her man. The man she brought to his knees just by being her awesome self. I about cried when they were apart, but thank God the author didn't keep them apart for so long that I was screaming or anything. Seriously though, Bad Reputation now has the title of being my favorite S.L. Scott story. It's sexy, it's emotional, and it's just so damn sweet and swoony that I almost can't stand it. Kudos Suzie on this sweet, sexy fairy tale!
Omg. I took me a few to gather my thoughts. This is my first Royal romance and I absolutely loved it. As always this author leaves me speechless. She knows how to draw you in with her characters. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. I was addicted to this book right from the start. It only took me a little over a day to devour this incredible story.
Hutton Everest is the brother of the well known Ethan and he is just as popular with the ladies. He can have any girl but only one caught his eye. Hutton is out with the boys and he meets the beautiful Ally. He is head over heels for her. Hutton will do anything for his Ally girl. They are inseparable and they feel like they have found their one. Then one day Ally just gets up and leaves him there broken hearted. He wants to find out why she left and the reason is a complete shock. A few months later these two collide once again. Hutton knows deep down this woman is his soulmate but does she feel the same?
Ally was just looking for a night to let her hair down and have some fun. She was not expecting the very handsome Ethan to sweep her off her feet. Ally knows that she has duties to her family she can’t get out of. She just wants to be a girl but she is not just an ordinary girl. Ally is a Royal and she can’t have anyone messing up what she is born to do, rule. She leaves Hutton before things get to hard for her. Ally goes back to her home and she is shocked that Hutton comes back to try to win her back. Will Ally get her happily ever after or will her dreams be crushed by her family?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and secrets. You will fall in love with these characters. Ally is a beautiful woman that just wants to live her own life. She absolutely loves Hutton but she has duties she must do for her country. Hutton knows what he wants and he will do anything to get it. The way he treats Ally will make you swoon. He is a true Everest. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your toes curl. This talented author will have at the edge of your seats all the way until the end. She puts in some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. This book deserves a crown. I can’t wait to see what she will have for us next.
Princes far from charming, friends less than friendly and secrets held that could turn worlds upside down. These are just a few of the reasons that this book is so different from others and I loved it. The author took a story and turned it on it’s head. I don’t do spoilers so you’ll have to read the book to see where I’m coming from. She got it right! The scenarios she wrote about captivate you in a way you didn’t see coming. Even though it’s a romance you are kept on your toes and riveted to find out what happens, as well as what has already happened.
Ally Edwards is a force to be reckoned with. She’s strong, smart, funny, beautiful, knows what she wants ( or so she thinks) and she’s in love. However, she has secrets and decisions that affect her career as well as her love life.
Hutton Everest is THE man! He’s the guy every woman wants to know, love, be with, and keep. Hutton is understanding, smart, and rich. He’s forward thinking (which I love). He is the man that gives women hope! Also, he is NO PUSHOVER. That is sexy.
The story has twists and turns you wont see coming. We are lucky enough to meet up with characters from previous books we’ve read and are introduced to new ones who I wouldn’t mind reading about in future books. I’m not sure if that’s going to happen but if the author is reading this I look forward to reading their stories.
The book is very current and forward thinking. It deals with issues that many women face today. I was fascinated with how she brought so much to light and weaved it into such a good book. There’s intrigue, mystery, romance and heat. This book brings the heat and brings it with smiles and swoons. You may even tear up. In other words it brought all the feels.
I read this book very quickly. Like I said the story captivated me and made me it’s prisoner. What a good way to be held at ransom. Do yourself a favor and read this book. Kudos to the author you hit the trifecta on this one: smart, sexy, and romantic. Well done!
Being bad never felt so good.
I fell for Ally the moment I saw her. Who doesn’t like a confident, intelligent woman with curves I could spend days exploring?
Who am I kidding?
I have.
Many times.
Our story ended abruptly when she packed her bags and left like we weren’t meant to be. We are. So I’m calling her bluff. That’s how I ended up thousands of miles from home, standing next to a man who claims to be her fiancé.
Being good has never felt so bad.
AMAZING!!! Absolutely loved Ally & Hutton's story! Flawlessly written and breath taking! The journey Ms. Scott takes you on with this book is beyond anything else I've read! Highly recommend!
When it comes to a successful man with an incredible body and biteable jaw aka Hutton . . . let’s just say willpower is not my strong suit.
Need more?
Try bad-boy American.
You’re welcome.
Embracing my newfound good girl status, I do the right thing to start my reign. My desires no longer matter. The monarchy, the people, and my country do. There is no place for love in this new life.
But I never expected to see him again, much less standing next to my royally appointed soon-to-be fiancé.
As if that didn’t complicate things, he’s wearing a perfectly tailored tuxedo and my favorite smirk. I straighten my crown and adjust my dress, realizing this good girl never stood a chance. I’ll take the bad reputation if I get him.
Another favorite written by S.L Scott. Seriously can this woman write a bad book. Ok ok let me just gush about how good this book is.
I love getting arc's, I mean who doesn't. But getting one from Suzy is like getting your very own unicorn. So is being a princess ... like a REAL LIFE princess ... complete with castle ... and a possibly wicked stepsister. Sorta. Have I lost you yet?
When we first meet Hutton Everest he seems a bit smitten to say the least. The way he describes her. Hmmm hmmm good lol. She plays right along with his game. After all it is Halloween. What better night to dress as your favorite princess right? Only problem, this princess really will turn into a pumpkin at midnight. Sorta. If she gets caught that is.
Ally is everything Hutton has never admitted he wanted. He wants it all ... but with her. Only with her. Why would that be a problem you ask? Well doesn't the storybooks always say ... the princess meets her prince? He's not a prince. At least not one her parents would consider anyway.
Have you figured it out yet lol. This is the story of a princess and her prince who just happens to be the middle brother of Everest- read him yet? No? Opps me either. But that's next on my tbr pile lol. And for those of us who can't get enough of those yummy Crow brothers ... yep they show up too.
So in case your still wondering .... should I read this book? Is this book worthy of my book money? My answer ... did Cinderella lose a shoe ?
Bad Reputation is a second chance royal romance. Who doesn’t love a fairy tale I certainly do! I’m a big fan of S L Scott she never disappoints me. Bad Reputation had a little bit of everything, it was sexy, romantic, comical and swoon worthy. I feel in love immediately with the main characters, Hutton and Ally. The story flowed with secondary characters you’ll love, and twists that will surprise you.
Ally Edwards, a beautiful, intelligent and strong willed woman....who knows what she wants and goes after it. She’s one bad ass PRINCESS! Ally was groomed from birth to be a queen. She has a wild side to her to fit into the “social elite” world. Ally is determined to fulfill the role that’s meant to be hers. A chance meeting, an instant attraction and intense chemistry. Ally never expected Hunter Everest to throw her for a loop in her quest to become queen.
Hunter Everest, is rich, gorgeous, and 100% alpha! My kind of man I absolutely loved him!! He comes across as a cocky bad boy, under all that is a caring, gentle soul. Hunter is a ladies man...but that all change when he meets the enchanting Ally Edwards. There is something intriguing about her and he wants to learn more about her.
Watching these two come together was enjoyable to watch. The banter between them had me laughing, their romantic time together had me swooning. You couldn’t help cheer them on and hope for a happily ever after. Can two people from completely different words come together? Will love conquer all? Definitely pick this one up!
