3.5 Stars because of Editing/Typo Issues
4 Stars for a Great Story/Read
When I first read the blurb on this, I knew it was going to be a different kind of romance than I am used to. Typically the end result is the couple falling in love, coming together, and getting their HEA. This story instead focused on getting to that HEA after everything else falling into place...... but with one BIG elephant in the room, the secret that could shatter their future.
Told in dual POV, this standalone is a lesson in how secrets have the power to destroy everything.....whether keeping them in or letting them out, they hold a power over our lives and have the ability to rewrite our futures. There is a HEA, no cliffys.....with the opportunity to hopefully see other couples/characters in their own books.
Tina has it all.....a handsome, successful billionaire fiance, her college degree and a career to go with it, the best friends, and involved parents. With a wedding to plan to the love of her life she is excited for the future, but doubts continue to arise within her. She knows he's hiding something, but what could it be? And could it have the power to tear them apart?
Blake has never been happier....with an empire he built from the ground up and the perfect woman agreeing to be his wife, he doesn't want anything to destroy his HEA with the love of his life. But the secret he is keeping within is the one thing that could rip her right out of his arms. Will he be able to tell her the one thing that he can't seem to admit? And can Tina accept him even if his secret reveals his deepest shame?
If you aren't one for being left in the dark, not to worry.... the reader finds out early on what secret he is keeping. You have a front row seat to all the highs and lows of these two as well as just how much hiding the truth can affect every aspect of your life. I loved that just as much as this book is a romance, its also a book that teaches a sort of lesson.... showing you just how damaging any secret can be.
I received an ARC, so most of my "issues" were related to typos/ editing errors. I hope that the actual copy released is corrected but if not, this book is a solid 3.5 (if the issues were absent it would be a 4). While the overall story was enjoyable and the characters were fun, I did feel at times the author added characters and drama just to make the plot more "exciting" when it instead made it confusing and unnecessary. A few characters are introduced for pure dramatic effect without anything coming from those introductions OR those characters not being developed upon. That paired with the fact that I felt the plot could never truly move forward without the author reminding us over and over again how both leads felt about the underlying "secret" is the reason I couldn't give it more stars.
Overall, I did truly like this story. It kept me intrigued from the very beginning, and these two leads have an authentic sexual chemistry --- it was some of the hottest I've read for sure. I definitely say to give it a shot, it was a great read for me!

I thought it was a so-so read. When I was reading chapter one, it got so hot and heavy right away that I didn't even realize it was the 2 main characters. I thought it was just Blake with a prostitute or a side girl. Yikes. It was just a bit too raunchy, especially right away. I didn't care for the progression of the book or the growth of their relationship. It was just ok for me. I probably wouldn't reread. 2.5 stars

You can't keep secrets from your partner without causing issues
His Secret is the story of Blake and Tina. In the first chapter the reader is immersed into their relationship so this is not a book about them getting together. Instead this is a story about whether they can stay together................so after Cinderella ends and the real relationship begins. It seems Blake has some secrets that over time will cause problems between he and Tina. When they make-up they have Hot Hot Hot sex!!! So the chemistry between Blake and Tina is off the charts Sizzling.
This is an interesting romance story as it is focuses on after they are already together. My issue is with a number of proofreading mistakes that detracted from the reading experience. There were also a number of secondary plots that were included which to me did not advance the main story very much. But overall the story was good with lots of steam and a lovely HEA.

A fantastic well written steamy hot story. This engaging storyline was so well described you will feel like your feeling all the emotions and problems that they are dealing with in this fast paced story. There are plenty of romantic ups and downs in a unique plot of a very steamy story full of twists and combustible chemistry. The characters are well developed and interesting and include a amazing secondary characters that I would love to see expanded on in future stories. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.

Starts off very hot and heavy with Blake and Tina. They are wonderful characters even though Tina is very naive. They’ve been dating for about 9 months and Blake has been keeping secrets from Tina. When she finds out his secrets will they continue their relationship without any issues or will it tear them apart. I’ve got to say for me this wasn’t one of my favorite books by K M Bishop it wasn’t bad though.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
I thought this was an ok story, there was definitely way more raunchy sex than storyline. I battled to like the characters, they are deeply and passionately in love but don't communicate at all. The secondary characters are terrible and they all behaved terribly, especially as being best friends. I enjoyed the ending after Blake woke up and ending up telling the truth. Finally they got their HEA.

October 2, 2019This is the story of Blake and Tina. I loved the characters. They felt real and believable. The storyline is original. It had enough twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. Emotional rollercoaster. Well developed.

Tina and Blake have been a couple for awhile, and although things are serious between them, secrets are still being kept. This is a well written story which has emotions, action, drama, suspense, explosive chemistry and is a poignant love story. I highly recommend for all readers.

The author has brought us characters that are not perfect, by any means. Tina and Blake are good together, however, secrets are known to tear people apart.

DNF. The only reason I am giving this book 2.5 stars is because I like the author. I mean, come on. The first 23 pages of the book are pure sex. Not even Fifty shades gave us that.
