Griffin Phillips I spent eighteen years in the Army, and nothing hit me as hard as this woman. The first time I saw her picture, I wanted to drop to my knees and worship at her feet. Fiona Cooper is thick and curvy the way I like my women. I don't care that we've only talked online. She wants to be friends with benefits, but she's already mine.
Fiona Cooper After the year I've had, I'm ready for some fun. My friend is getting married in the same city where my online boy toy lives. Griffin Phillips is big all over and cut to perfection. I have plans to satisfy my craving for him, but this attraction between us will forever be strictly physical.
THICK CUT is an interracial erotic romance (BWWM) with a HEA. It is a part of the Lunchtime Chronicles series which can be read as standalone novels.
WARNING: This book is different from ALL previous Siera London books. THICK CUT contains explicit sex and graphic language.
Great read. I love thick men and I cannot lie! Lol. This is Griffin and Fiona's story. Griffin was an absolute sweet heart and I loved the way he was with Fiona. Fiona had her insecurities which were well founded but thank God, Griffin did not give up on her. Loved it! 4 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟

Griffin and Fiona’s were smoking hot together. They met online on the N2U dating site and decided to meet in person when she came to Daytona for a wedding. He picked her up from the airport and they immediately went at it.
Baby, Griffin rocked her world. And Fiona, let’s just say ole girl put it on him so good, the man wanted her to move in! Now you know he was whipped. They wore each other out.
I enjoyed the twist in the plot near the end of the story, where the author addresses a serious issue happening in the culture these days. Without getting too deep and dark, she shines the light on a real problem blacks face in today’s society. Just know that Fiona handles herself with grace even though I know she wanted to stomp a hole in that racist little old lady.
I wonder what Messy Mandy thought about Fiona’s quick exit. You know she’s going to have the streets talking about this for days.
Aww, man! I was really looking forward to this story, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. I liked Griffin, the story had plenty of humor, together they were sexy, but Fiona kept running every chance she could. It got to be a bit irritating. All the secondary characters were over the top, male and female. They cuss each other out, constantly call each other out of their names with no hesitation. Like, are these people really in their late 30s to mid 40s? It was really short, but I wish the couple had spent a little more time together that was outside their online chats so readers could really get a sense of this couple's connection.
Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story had a few parts that could've used a little more work. For me, the only thing that made it half way believable was the fact that they had been talking to each other before. They never said how long but if not for that this story would not have been believable at all (to me).
Thank you for the short story. Nice short and sweet however, the ending was too abrupt. Like to know a little bit more about this couple and how things work out.
Short, sweet, and SULTRY! WHEW! Ending was a bit abrupt, I agree--however, this was a welcome introduction to such memorable characters I am eager to learn more about.
I loved Griffin and Fiona’s story. Those two were on fire and had me fanning myself a couple of times. Fiona might have a fear of relationships, but this woman L-O-V-E-D herself and her body!!! Thank you for writing about a woman that has curves, over 200lbs, and not a size 6.
Okay, so if you know me, you know my guilty pleasure is getting sucked into the excerpts from those story apps that get advertised on Facebook. It’s my thing, don’t judge me. I never follow the links, and that’s the fun part to me.
I followed the link on this one because it wasn’t an app story, and I have all of the regrets.
I’m fairly certain this book is some kind of product placement story built solely to advertise and promote things. The mechanics are terrible, the writing is barely stock/AI quality at best, and it’s offensive just by existing. There are trademark and copyright symbols behind everything used in here, from Wonder Woman to song titles and TV show names.
I just… This was my bad. I’m glad it was short. It says something like 116 pages, but it registered as 99 on my Kindle app and didn’t start until like page 10.
1/5. I know I did this to myself, but it doesn’t change the fact that this caused severe side-eye. Bombastic side-eye, as my son says. Criminal offensive side-eye. Shameful.
Once you either accept, ignore or you just eye roll at the excessively referenced, offensive euphemism, and the cringey 😬 European vernacular used for the male genitalia, the second installment to the “Lunchtime Chronicles: Thick Cut” was actually humorous, relatable & a good read. Thereafter, Fiona & Griffin like many other couples must navigate variant types of insecurities (and racism; to be expected unfortunately in perpetuity🥴) which can potentially hinder the development of their new romantic interest/relationship especially an interracial rapid romance. Nevertheless, the irony both Fiona & Griffin were so preoccupied with their internal battles. However, neither realized that the phenomenon six degrees of separation was/is just a Dayton Beach away 🤭‼️This is a storyline & couple that warrants an update.
I love ginger men & can't get enough of men I call " Teddy Bears ". Fiona has found her " Teddy Bear " she just doesn't admit it. Fiona has been hurt by the man who was supposed to love & respect her. Instead there was betrayal. When she least expects it up pops Griffin a man with honor & integrity. Messy Mandy & friends show up & keep the fun going. The chemistry is amazing between the new lovers. Now if Fiona can just accept that real love can & does happen. I enjoyed this book in the Lunchtime Chronicles. This book was a recommended read from UniqueWords LLC.
This is the first time I'm legitimately ashamed to admit I read this book. I knew it was going to suck. I knew it, but I needed some books to add to my reading challenge tally. If I could give this book negative stars, I would. Where to start? The horrible dialogue? The one dimensional characters? The complete absence of a plot? I am completely baffled people gave this book 4 or 5 stars? Are we reading the same book? It's impossible. The book was too horrible to finish. I stopped and wept for the 10 minutes of my life wasted and forever lost.
There were so many errors in this book it made it difficult to read. One glaring error was the use of the Copyright and Trademark symbols when brand names were used. Obviously the author doesn’t understand their proper use. There was also a lot of internal dialogue that was written in quotes making you believe a conversation was taking place. The characters also switched between slang and more proper English that made it have a mocking tone. Finally the book ended at 77% filling the rest with click pages to up pages read count. Do not recommend at all!
I really wanted to give it 3.5 stars but I gave it an extra 4 because of Griffin. I liked this character, he is a Grown A** Man who knows who and what he wants. He was honest, and straight forward
Fiona I really didn’t care for her, I kept forgetting that this was a woman who was almost 40 years old, but playing games like she was in her 20s. I got tires of the immaturity, indecisiveness, insecurities and the lack of communication she constantly displayed just took away from the story.
Griffin knew that she was the one to be that Chang le in his life. Fiona was not so sure she would not be hurt and embarrassed again. She find that she is out in a bad place and takes a run but don’t get far. Griffin wants her more than she can imagine. So when he is in pursuit of her she’s not sure how to feel.
Messy Mandy strikes again. The girl squad in full effect. Need more.
Griffin and Fiona made me smile a lot. Online chatters turned in real life lovers. She gives him a run for his money, making him chase her all over the place. Granted, she didn't intend that he follow her. But in so doing, he made her realize her worth to him and gave her the confidence to hold on to him forever. A good story with great characters I can't wait to read more about. The editing could have been better though.
Fast read and one that I enjoyed! Griffin and Fiona were good together! I knew from the beginning they would click! But you will see what happens in the end. The way they met, will make you say, will it work? I don't think so, this author knew how to keep you in suspense but you knew! I Love the Lunchtime chronicles, they are a go to for you when you need a good read by some of the best authors, you will not be disappointed!
This steamy short story was well put together, with likeable & realistic characters.
I don't typically read short stories, but I really enjoyed this and I'm looking forward to the others (all 71!). It was funny at times and hot at others.
My only problem was the constant TM or (C) symbols after the author dropped a brand name. It happened a LOT & was really distracting!
This man was gone from the first time he saw her, from the first conversation and their first meeting. 42 minutes is all it took. And Fiona being afraid to open her heart almost lost her a man... Griffin wasn't going anywhere. He claimed her after their first encounter. And before the weekend was over, he claimed every part of her. This big sexy man knew what he wanted... Fiona and he was sexy trying to get her. A big sexy teddy bear.
Griffin and Fiona have been chatting on line for months. They have been telling each other things they really haven’t said to anyone else. Fiona ends up in Griffin’s town for a wedding and they hook up and feelings get very real for the two of them. Fiona is struggling with past trauma dealing with relationships so her walls are tall and thick. Griffin will need some patience and perseverance to make this relationship work.
This is the first in this series I read that I mostly liked. The sex scenes and raunchy sex talk was a turn off but reconnecting with familiar characters and delving into Griffin and Fionas' personalities was fun. The interaction between all the characters was pretty hilarious also and Griff is just to die for. 👍
I love this story. Fiona and Griff are perfect for each other. Fiona who had been hurt in other relationships was conflicted about her online connection . Griff had to make her see he was her forever hookup. I wish their story were longer. I love this Author's work.
This story has me all hot and bothered. I loved both Characters and their love scenes were hotter than fish grease on a Friday night. Fiona needed to get out of her own way, once she did, there was a lot of sizzle. Griffin was one big Hunk of Sexy. Loved it!
This was a good lil quick story. I like how Griffin knew what he wanted and went for it. Fiona was sure because she'd been let down and heartbroken before. It didn't help that they met on a dating site. I knew Fiona wanted to kill Griffin's aunt. I'm glad Griffin convinced her to stay.❤❤
