The girl that steals his breath with just one sway of her hips.............will one off be enough for either of them?
One Off is a fast-paced, older man/younger woman, insta-lust/love story between Dean Lyndon and Emily Smart. Dean is a defense lawyer who started his own firm with his partner Max Ennis, after they both left their previous firm taking associates and half the firms clients six years ago. Emily is a college sophomore who has been charged with the sex crime of Non-Consensual Distribution of Intimate Images, basically revenge porn. Emily's older sister Amber works as Dean's assistant and she has brought this case to the firm, originally to Max. However, Max has had to pass it on to Dean since he had to take time off for a family emergency. When Dean sees Emily walking towards his office he is struck dumb by her. He thinks she "looks like she belongs in a lingerie ad or an ad for one of those artsy barely legal p*rn studios." All he can think is two things...........he wants her and she is to young for him/he is to old for her.
Emily is attracted to Dean immediately thinking he is one of the handsomest men she has ever seen. She so has dirty thoughts about him and what he could do to her. During their meeting she explains that yes she did send some naked pictures of her ex to people as she had told everyone they slept together, she could not handle what he had to offer and that he broke up with her. When in reality they had never slept together as she refused to, Emily is still a virgin and she broke up with him. She sent the pictures to prove just how little he actually was offering thinking that if people saw how he lied about one thing that they would realize he lied about the other things.
As the trial date approaches Dean and Emily have to spend more time together for witness prep which is going to cost more money in his fees. Emily decides she has to get a job to pay her sister back and when she shows up for one prep session wearing a barely there dress and CFM shoes he is livid. So he has a proposal for her - he will pay her for one night where he can do anything he wants with her in exchange for his fees, all at the end of the trial. To his surprise Emily takes him up on the offer and then things are sure to get heated when it comes time to celebrate after the trial.
This is a fun, funny, hot and sexy short story that not only packs steam but also has a story-line and a couple interesting characters. I enjoyed reading this story, as I have other books by this author.

I went back and forth on this book. One minute I liked it and the next I was yelling at Dean and Emily. Dean for the stuff that came out of his mouth and Emily for being like, ok. I found them very frustrating at times.
Dean is an attorney. Emily is Dean's client. Dean thinks that Emily is the perfect girl and that he wants her. Emily thinks that Dean is hot. Dean knows that he is supposed to get Emily off in the courtroom, but he wants to get her off in the bedroom. Emily is worried about paying for the legal fees so Dean proposes an unorthodox deal. They will give into temptation once, just one night. Dean would like to keep Emily as his, but figures that there's no way she could want something long term with him.

God, give me the strength to not take this girl's virginity in a parking lot.😂😂😂😂
Spoiler, he makes it out of the parking lot without incident. But this story—I can't even! 🤣
One Off begins with the young and virginal heroine Emily Smart needing a lawyer to help get out of charges against her sleazy ex. So here comes Dean Lyndon, senior partner at Lyndon Ennis, and a premier defense lawyer. Emily's sister works as Dean's assistant, so she can get a much-needed discount too. Of course Dean wants more than to get Emily off scot-free. He wants her.
Good thing Emily desires him, too!
I only wish that we got to explore more of Dean's dom tendencies. Emily's hinted at being a good sub, but it doesn't get past that. I'm also aware that One Off is a short erotic romance. There isn't much page time to delve into it...but maybe in a sequel?
All in all, I thought One Off was exactly what I've come to expect from Jaye Diamond's erotic romances. It's short, deliciously sweet and sexy, and hits the HEA spot just right.

First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Emily Smart gets into some legal trouble, she needs a good lawyer. Dean Lyndon wasn’t supposed to be handling Emily’s case. From the moment he meets her he wants her. Question is, how long can he resist her?
The chemistry between Emily and Dean is clear to see and I loved them together. I loved that Dean was an amazing lawyer.
I was happy that Oliver didn’t get away with what he tried to do.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

Sexy and steamy and oh so good! Emily's ex brags about sleeping with her, then dumps her when she won't - saying she couldn't handle his large size. To refute his claim she posts intimate pics he sent her. Now she's facing charges! Dean is the lawyer that Emily's sister work for, and he agrees to take the case, mainly as a favor to Emily's sister. But once these two officially meet, watch out! The heat and attraction and love are off the charts. Dean is dominate and sexy and determined to keep Emily once the trial is over. Emily is sweet and fiesty and completely willing to submit to Dean. Especially once she realizes he wants a future! Loved reading this book!

What one smutty bundle of joy this book was. If you are looking for an OTT instalove book with all the cliche, perfect blend of smutty and erotic, and good dose protective older alpha H, I guess this book was perfect to quench some of your thirsts on your quest of searching abandon-all-your-logic-but-still-have-some-fun-and-logic-while-at-it book.

An enjoyable taboo romance! The story line is well-developed, intriguing, well written, funny, fast pace, and steamy. Loveable characters; their chemistry is intense, instant, and off the charts! Definitely recommended!
