They took her freedom. Now she’ll take their lives.

Voluntary kidnapping. That’s new even for Kat. Trapped, tortured and without any sign of her sister’s whereabouts, she can only do one thing: release the beast within and hope she doesn’t lose her humanity. Nor her family.

Relationships will be broken. New alliances will be forged. And yes, there will be more kittens.

The sixth book in this purrfectly exciting urban fantasy series full of action, suspense and cat puns. A slow burn reverse harem where Kat won't have to choose.

Skye MacKinnon is a USA Today & International Bestselling Author whose books are filled with strong heroines who don't have to choose.

She embraces her Scottishness with fantastical Scottish settings and a dash of mythology, no matter if she's writing about Celtic gods, cat shifters, or the streets of Edinburgh.

When she's not typing away at her favourite cafe, Skye loves dried mango, as much exotic tea as she can squeeze into her cupboards, and being covered in pet hair by her tiny black cat (who's secretly a demon).

Well the series took a turn at the end of this book that pushed everything into too far fetched, and I did not find enjoyable

I’m not sure what it was but I didn’t enjoy this book. Overall I’ve liked the series but this book was not for me. I was quite disappointed about the development of the story..

Skye MacKinnon has given us an intense and dark story in Claw, the sixth addition to the “Catnip Assassins” series.

MacKinnon says that she was influenced by the isolation she experienced during the pandemic and holy sugar I just want to reach out and hug her. On the other hand, girl has some dark thoughts which really benefit us because Claw is awesome.

Kat is put through her paces when she is held captive, tortured, starved, and experimented on. As I said before MacKinnon goes dark in this book so beware. (I am trying not to give away any spoilers and it is so hard!) Even though Kat is put through tremendous pain, she still remains who she is: a fighter. MacKinnon is not soft when it comes to the captivity as she details Kat’s thoughts during this process. We get to witness the true strength of a person who is in an ever-changing hell.

I think what I like most about Kat is that she keeps surprising herself. Plus she is a survivor. Through everything she has gone through she has grown her own humanity and ended up a superhero. She is constantly breaking her own rules of survival to include people in her life that opens her up to potential hurt. I think this is very clear when it comes to her sisters. In this story, she gets herself voluntarily kidnapped for a sister she has never met and does know if she is good or evil. Superhero material.

MacKinnon has created different versions of Helena (Orphan Black - love and miss that show...hard). All of the sisters are slightly left, okay some might be totally off the grid (laugh). This can make for comedy, battles, and heart-break. MacKinnon balances a fine line and does it expertly.

Overall, I loved this book and I have the entire series so far. Claw could actually be read as a standalone, but why would you?! (laugh) Need a hero through this pandemic? Kat is a great superhero to get addicted to.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.

According to the author’s note at the end of the story, this was written during 2020 COVID pandemic and it shows. At the end of Lick, Kat allows herself to be taken by a siren to protect her last yet-to-be-liberated sister. The pandemic feel comes in the the form of Kat’s imprisonment. Instead of testing or torturing, she’s put in an isolation box for weeks on end.

Eventually, after Kat is drained by starvation enough to be compliant, she is moved to a posher prison, an unlocked bedroom in an as-of-yet unescapable building. Her sister Sophia visits her and, along with a human maid’s help, they plan their escape.

Kat’s inner panther has been cooped up so long that when she shifts, battles, and dines on her enemy’s blood, the feline won’t release Kat. Luckily her mates were already on their way to her. Lennox and Ryker bring her back to herself by offering her cat her mates in human form, naked and ready to engage in sex play. The panther would have let the wolf fuck her, but isn’t up for furry on human sex.

When they meet up with Gryphon, Sophia lets it slip that Kat was experimented on while unconscious and that she (Sophia) is going to be an aunt. Kat is pregnant with four offspring of mixed origin. Two feel like feline shifters, two siren and something else.

Kat wants them out, to the point that she’s tempted to scratch out her own insides, but Gryphon convinces her to let things wait till they can get home and obtain the use of a sonogram. Unfortunately, mixed species means an altered gestational period, and the shifters can soon hear the babies heartbeats.

Another cliffy. Kat is in early labor and faced with the siren who abducted her.

If you haven't read the other books in this series, stop and go do that. This book takes up where the last book, 'Lick', left off.

Kat wakes up in a room with no windows, a door with no visible lock, a flickering ceiling light and a pipe through which her meals are delivered. There's also an observation camera that she creatively covers. The highlight of her day is eating although that doesn't always happen. Then there's the torture, from loud music to scalding hot floors to the gas that burns and creates hallucinations all with no contact with the tormentors. It's frustrating to not have a physical enemy.

She's determined to find a way out, and meets an interesting, if small ally. A mouse she names Whiskers. Whiskers aids her in trying to escape by helping her get an idea of the layout of the house. Unfortunately the way up and out is guarded and she ends up back where she started.

Befriending K7 isn't easy, but her loneliness is key. As Kat gains her trust she also figures a way to get them both out and away.

Plenty of action, lots of sizzle, many twists, and a surprise no one will see coming.

I really can't wait for the next book in this series.

Skye MacKinnon outdid herself with CLAW (Catnip Assassins #6). CLAW takes place after Kat was voluntary kidnapped in book five, LICK. She is imprisoned and tortured by the people that have her sister K7/Sophie.

I have always loved Kat’s character. My respect for Kat went up in this book. She was tortured and violated. My heart went out to her and what she endured in this story. Skye MacKinnon does a great job getting you inside Kat’s head.

CLAW was skillfully written with unexpected twists. This is a book that is extremely hard to put down. I love the humor and conspiracy. The characters are diverse and appealing. Once again, the story ends in a cliff hanger. I cannot wait to read book seven. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Our heroine is a cat at heart and personality, so like most cats, you love them but hate them. She can be annoying, but she's fierce stubborn and brave.
In this book, she's as she says self kidnapped. We start the book weeks into her capture. We leave the book with more than we expected. I mean, come on! Who does that to someone! I'm just happy she gets some happiness even though she also gets hit with a lorry sized surprise.

Fighting action
Cat being cat action
Steamy action 😏
Family happy moments
Big surprise 😮 🫢

Brilliant continuation of the series

How do you escape from an enclosed box? Torture is all you know, and hoping your friends find you is your best hope. Kat sacrificed herself to protect her little sister...what happens from then on is questionable. In this authors fashion the story is full of action, mystery, and intrigue....the ending will leave you saying ?!?!?!??!? I need the final book NOW

You really need to have read the previous stories in this series to have this make sense. Kat escapes with her little sister, and reunites with her mates, but OMG, there is a lot of blood and mayhem happening in this story. It has a really nasty twist, and again, there is a cliffhanger.. I cannot wait for the next book to find out what happens.

This is the sixth installment of the "Catnip Assasins" series and you have to read the previous books before this. That being said, this installment is much mored darker than the previous books. There's blood, gore, mayhem, pshycological torture, reader discretion is adviced. Still, I wouldn't miss it for anything! And I can't wait to get my hands on the next book! That cliffhanger? It blew my mind!

This is the 6th book in the Catnip Assassins Series and the previous books do need to be read in order to follow along with the storyline in this book. I love this author's work and once again she did not disappoint! I don't do spoilers so I will just say if you are looking for a great RH series with plenty of action, romance, and laughs this is the series for you, and liking cats helps!

Claw is book six in the Catnip Assassins series and it picks up where book five left off. Kat goes in deep to protect her little sister and ends trapped in a room. Kat goes through so much in this action packed story filled with suspense, mystery, intrigue, twists and so much more. After that cliffhanger ending I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Kat allowed herself to be taken to protect another clone/sister. Now she’s being held alone in a cell, denied human interaction, starved and tortured. She holds on knowing her family is coming for her and she can escape if given the smallest opening. Kat also has no idea if her sister is able to be helped. There’s more information found out here, most of it bad. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

OMG! Kat goes through so much torture during this book, it’s heartbreaking. And there's no catnip.
Be prepared to be shocked by what Ms. MacKinnon’s book blurb about “more kittens” actually means. Like jaw dropping shocked! I can’t wait to see how it ends!
I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.

I have been in love with this series since the start. Love all the characters! Missed Pumpkin in this one though. Kat grows to know her new sister and is able to escape and head home, but the revelations of what happened during captivity are almost too much, and the cliffhanger at the end, oof....gut wrenching.

This is the sixth book in the series and let me say you gotta read the rest of the books in the series as this one picks up where the last one left off. So many questions get answered in this book about Kat's littlest sister, K7/Sophie but there are so many more that have come to light now that I want answered!

So I thought this book started out kinda slow and seemed to be along drag out to having more main characters join Kat. But when they did holy cow did the story get full on! It was epic and with a plot twist I did not see coming.
And the cliffhanger OMG!!!! I can't wait to read the next book!

Exciting continuation of Kat's story that keeps you on the edge of you seat. This is a series best read in order. While this is darker, with the torture, but still has the same laughs as the previous books. This has plenty of action with twists and turns.
