Whilst "straight" contemporary romance isn't my go-to in reading terms, the author Tiffani Lynn definitely is. And she didn't disappoint in this gentle, yet emotional story of two imperfect people finding their HEA. She had me sobbing within the first few pages - always a sign of great writing.

Normally if I struggle with a character it's with an overbearing, conceited and irritating hero but despite Keegan being a hot shot champion boxer with a troubled background he was actually very balanced and immensely likeable. I couldn't always say the same about Collins. Overall she had led a fairly charmed life, not easy, not perfect but comfortable. So the enormous chip on her shoulder occasionally made her quite irritating. However the author always managed to pull things back and allow me to forgive her, thus providing an enjoyable read that was neither too bland nor too angsty.

The book is quite short, perhaps because it's part of another author's "world", so whilst we had well developed, complex characters it did feel as though the relationship side of things was a little rushed. Not so much in timeline context but rather that we didn't get much opportunity to see Collins and Keegan just spending relaxed time with one another. I just needed a little more convincing of the strength of their feelings, a little more time with just the focus on them together but not arguing. It would have transformed this from a really good to a really great read for me.

4.5 star Review Contender (Everyday Heroes World) by Tiffani Lynn

Tiffani Lynn is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not read her before and when time permits I will be looking at other books by this author.

Set in K Bromberg’s Everyday Hero World this was an entertaining at times emotional read that had me hooked from the first chapter. Back in Sunnyville, this is Officer Collins Sutton and Boxer Keegan “The Punisher” Ranger’s story and is one I was invested in.

Collins never planned on moving back to Sunnyville, but after the death of her mother she is needed at home to help her disabled bother. Keegan is focused on making a success of the gym.

Collins isn’t sure that Keegan is who he appears to be so she is determined to learn more about him. From the moment they meet the sparks fly, as as they get to know one another the attraction between them becomes too hard to ignore. Contender was a sweet, romantic story that was well written. Collins isn’t sure that Keegan is who he appears to be so she is determined to learn more about him.

I loved how caring and compassionate Keegan is and Collins is such a feisty, sassy woman that is not afraid to stand up for what or who she believes in. I loved Sam, what a great character he is. This is a little gem, one click I don’t think you will be disappointed.

This was my first time reading this author, and even though I did enjoy it, I just didn't *love* it. The blurb was very misleading (at least to me) And i honestly couldn't stand Collins. She was just so freaking rude, and always assumed the word in Keegan, even though he had never given her reasons to doubt him. She was just so unprofessional and hypocritical, that I kept getting a headache from her attitude. I honestly just could not care about her at.

Now Keegan on the other hand was everything. I loved that man something fierce, which made my heart ache even more foe him because it felt like he was just settling with Collins. I wanted him to find someone who truly appreciated him, loved him, BELIEVED in him.. And Collins was just none of those things. Keegan stole the show for me, and he is soley the reason for the three stars.

This just want the book for me.

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions.**

Jab, jab, jab, punch!!! That is a good way of describing this latest book by Tiffani Lynn. A feel-good story of 2 people that did not believe they could find love or allow themselves to let anyone in. Find yourself a cozy place to relax, grab a blanket, your favorite beverage and immerse yourself into the world of Keegan and Collins.
Meet Keegan Ranger, aka The Punisher, a boxer and Collins Sutton, police office, are an unlikely couple. Each one has a reason why they should not get involved in a relationship. Navigating through the pages and learning about the characters was very interesting. How do a boxer and a police officer get into the same space and feel they don’t need or want each other?
Keegan has been focused on boxing, training and living his life the best that he can. When the book starts Keegan walks into his friend, trainer and father figure house to find he had passed away in his sleep. Lou took Keegan in when he was young and taught him to box and give him a life on the straight and narrow. His passing was a shock to Keegan causing him to take some time away from boxing to mend his broken heart and see if he can continue to box without Lou in his corner. In his will Lou’s final words says, “Don’t go spending this money on crap. You were born the kind of man to change things, figure out a way to make a difference for someone else.”
Meet Collins Sutton, police officer. She moved back home after her mother died to take care of her brother and father. Now that doesn’t sound to bad but her brother has some developmental issues and she feels the need to look out for him and to protect him from the world. Everyone in town knows how he is and has made him a part of their lives. Then a stranger moves into town and turns everything on its ear.
How do two people on different paths in life find what they both need? This book is complex in the story but also how each of the character get to where they are. Does Keegan make a difference in someone’s life? To get the answers to those questions I highly suggest reading this book. It was great reading during a snowstorm and wrapped in a blanket.

While reading this I hear my head my husband's voice counting off numbers while practicing punching with my daughters against the foam blocks. It's the boxing stance on the cover. ☺️
I really enjoyed Keegan and Collins characters, their selfless acts and sense of community. They were almost to perfect except for the imperfections that made them perfect for each other and perfect for Sunnyville.
These new addition to the KB World are wonderful with a great cast of supporting characters as well. The story has everything we love the hero and heroine who ultimately save each other to find their happiness while taking us on that journey. This was a quick one perfect for a quiet afternoon, or evening. Or even one of those nights you just can't sleep.

I have voluntarily left this review.

This was just an easy sweet romance story. I loved Keegan. He came so far in his life all by someone giving him the benefit of the doubt. Now his this successful boxer rich and hot as hell

Collins definitely lived up to her Red Hair cliché, lol… All she wanted to do was do her job well and look out for her brother. I loved that Keegan proved her wrong with his intentions. And man I seriously loved her little brother Sam, he was just too cute for words.

All in all definitely a good story for my first Tiffani Lynn book ♥ And another awesome story to add to The Everyday Heroes World 😊

This was a new to me author.
This book wasn't quite what I was expecting, especially for this self proclaimed suspense junkie, but I'm glad I read for one of the side characters alone. He really stole the show and will steal your heart.
The female main character irked me for most of it, loved her love interest though.
The plot itself though it was tamer than expected, will give you inspiration and a lot to think about.
This was a quick easy read, making it a perfect addition to this multi author world for those wanting a palate cleanse.

I loved the hero. He is a solid guy, with a great heart. The heroine is incredibly set in her opinions, so it takes a while for them to smooth things out. But once they are, everything falls into place. I loved the supporting characters in this book. This was a good book.

Great Book

This was a new to me author and I will definitely need to check out more of her books! This was a great romance read. It started with a bit of hate that was used to hide the lust, moved towards mutual attraction and then love. I really enjoyed the characters relationship with Sam, Collin’s younger brother with Down Syndrome. It was really amazing to see how others interacted with him, not just Collin and Keegan, but other members of the community. The story had great steam that worked well to enhance the story. I absolutely recommend this book and will need to check out more by Tiffani

An entertaining romance with interesting characters. Keegan is an ex boxer with a sad childhood that lead him to his savior and boxing trainer. The man that became his mentor left him an inheritance that included a boxing gym and a chance to pay it forward. A new gym in a new town has Keegan meeting a terrific young man. Sam has Down's and a Sis and a Dad that work overtime to protect him. Sam is such a great character with a happiness that flows off the pages. Keegan offers Sam a job and the two embark on a special friendship. That had Sis aka Collins in Keegan's orbit. Her cop suspicions run deep and she not very nice to Keegan in the beginning. It took me awhile to warm up to her especially when she's mean to the sexy hunk that is Keegan. But they soon overcome a rough start and find their way to a passionate romance. Great family, a sexy romance and some drama through in makes this an enjoyable read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 3.5 stars

This story gets high marks for great characters. Not just the main characters but also the supporting cast.
Keegan was one the light heavyweight champion of the world. He now is working on his gym. He is a good guy and does not judge people without getting their story. He is not perfect but tries to be fair.
He is trying to pay it forward. When he was young his mentor saved him from going down the wrong path.
Collins is the law. She came home after her mother died to take care of her brother. She is not trusting of Keegan. As she gets to know him, she falls for the hot ex boxer
There is drama, emotion and in the end lies all around.

Contender is a short and powerful read, packing a strong punch in the inspirational feels department.

Perfectly encapsulating the essence of everyday heroes, both Keegan and Collins are truly remarkable characters, and a perfect addition to the ever growing Sunnyvile crowd.
With wonderful supporting characters, a strong sense of community and of course some redheaded temper, this was a perfect way to spend an evening while simultaneously restoring a little faith in humanity.

Collins is very unsure of her brother's new employer/friend, Keegan, even as she's highly attracted to the man. She's a cop, though, so she can investigate and make sure he's just the gym owner/fighter he seems to be. That attraction she has to him, though, that will just have to stay hidden. Right? Wrong...

Keegan misses the man he called mentor, who was more his father than anything. He wants a place to fit in, to belong, and he hopes to find it here. But when a young man walks in and he strikes up a friendship with him and hires him to work at his gym, he never expected Sam's sister to come along and get under his skin with her fiery temper and loyalty to her family. If she would just give him a chance, though, he'd prove to her he's more than just a former fighter, just wants to have that life his mentor always wanted for him.

Contender snuck up on me, hit me right in the heart with Keegan's sweetheart personality, and especially Sam's joyful, bright spirit. I admit Collins' temper bugged me, especially when it caused her to make rash decisions and hurt Keegan, but I do love her intense loyalty. This is a perfect fit for Bromberg's Everyday Heroes World.

This is my first read by T Lynn and she won me over. I loved the complexity, humor, loyalty, depth, compassion, friendships and steaminess between the pages. My only compliant...I wanted more! Their story ended sooner than I’d hoped, but I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

“My life as I’ve known it has just slipped into oblivion...”

This book took on several heavy subjects and was done quite well even in a shorter length book. Honestly if it had 200 more pages I’m sure I would still want more. Signs of a great writer is having you so consumed in the story you don’t even realize how many chapters you’ve read.

“Surround yourself with genuine and that’s what you’ll attract.”

There were times I was laughing, crying, frustrated, had butterflies, wanted justice, sympathized, my heart ached...you will go through so many emotions, but you will not be left disappointed!!!

Contender from new to me, author Tiffani Lynn is part of K Bromberg's Everyday Heroes world. I love a story that focuses on everyday people doing great things for the world at large, seeing somewhat ordinary people being the hands and feet of kindness is insanely attractive and for sure sets off all the heart eyes for this girl.

Keegan "the Punisher" Ranger is a boxing superstar who was blessed with an incredible mentor after growing up HARD. His beloved Lou took him and helped him change his life. Keegan knows he walks in the sunlight because someone believed in him, now he's ready to do the same for others. Opening a gym in small town Sunnyvale offers him a slower pace and the opportunity to build something he's proud of. Being insanely attracted to the sexy, but determined to hate him, cop/older sister of his new friend was the last thing he saw coming.

Collins Sutton doesn't know what to make of the famous boxer turned gym owner; despite all the evidence that he's a good man, she doesn't trust him. She definitely doesn't trust him with her special needs brother.

Keegan, Sam and all the guys in this story were awesome. I loved the boxer turned mentor, the beautiful way he represented Lou, his kindness with Sam and his willingness to make hard choices and endure the consequences. Unfortunately I didn't care for Collins at all. While I did enjoy this story, it was in spite of Collins. I loved all the other characters but I simply couldn't get past the huge chip on her shoulder, her mad at the world attitude and her hateful outbursts. I understand she felt responsible for her brother but she took it out on everyone around her. The author did try to redeem her which I appreciated but it just wasn't enough for me. Otherwise it was a great story. I'd be happy to read more from the KB World.

Keegan is a man who made something of himself due to having a great mentor. Collins loves her job and her family. The author uses her secondary characters to grab the reader’s attention and maybe even give a couple of life lessons too.

The first secondary character we get to meet is very special. Sam is used to connect our main characters as well as give him his own identity. Our lesson with him is not to be biased and judge someone based on outward appearances. Judgements should not be based on assumptions. The other special character is Ahmod. I fell in love with him right away. This lesson might be to let people be who they are especially if you don’t take the time to get to know them.

I became a fan of this author when I saw how accepting of people Keegan was. He was willing to give anyone a chance. He didn’t make assumptions but really got to know them and was willing to work with them no matter their limitations, their being apprehensive or where their life was going prior to meeting him. He made this book easy to enjoy.

The author takes her time to build the story before she tries to build any steam between her main characters. At one point in the story, Collins says something that gave me an “oh no!” moment. Wanting to know if I was right or not left me no choice but to keep on reading. The story builds until we get to a great ending – I’ll admit there may have been a tear or two by the time I got to the last word. But it also made me sad because my trip to Sunnyville is now over. I could certainly see what made this book a great choice to add to the Everyday Heroes World Project.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

I absolutely enjoyed this easy to read, no-nonsense romance. Some of my favorite books are fighter books and this one didn't leave me wanting for anything. Not only were the two main characters brilliant. But all the characters are amazing especially Sam, who gets a huge nod for making this story a little bit more beautiful. As well as the man that made Keegan who he was, Lou. Everything mentioned about Lou just brings a huge lump to my throat.

Keegan and Collins were meant to be from the first-ever meeting. Even though I see that people would find Collins annoying, I see her as a fiercely protective, and loving sister. I can't say any more. As the rest of my thoughts would give too much away. Just no that this is beautiful, fun, full of banter, sweet moments that make you smile but also brings a lump or two to your throat.

This book is a huge recommendation from me. Considering it was new to me author. I really enjoyed the flow and style of her writing. Tiffani Lynn is now firmly on my radar.

4.5 Stars for Contender ( The Everyday Heroes World) by Tiffani Lynn
Another new author and another great addition to The Everyday Heroes World, one of the things I love about this world is all the new authors I’m getting to follow and Tiffani Lynn will certainly be added to my ever growing list because after reading Contender I’m left wondering why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now.
Collins never thought she would come home to Sunnyville but after her mother passes away she is needed to look after her disabled brother. Keegan has just moved into town and his focus is all about getting his new gym up and running and when he asks Collins brother if he would like a job it puts her back up, why is a stranger offering a disabled kid a job, what ulterior motives does this man have. It doesn’t cross her mind that Keegan just sees what she sees in her brother......
This is an easy to read, no drama, sweet romance and I highly recommend to all romance lovers. This book has all the feels and it ticked my boxes, I fell hard and fast for the caring, compassionate Keegan and I loved the protective Collins, the chemistry is sizzling and the banter is witty so all that’s left to say is one click this wonderful addition to the wonders world of everyday heroes.

Contender is the first book I’ve read by Tiffani Lynn and definitely won’t be the last.

This book was sweet and had it’s ups and downs but was definitely enjoyable. I liked that there was a good mix of unique characters throughout the story.

The main characters are Keegan and Collins. Collins is a female police officer who has returned home to Sunnyville to help look after her elderly father and younger brother who has Down’s Syndrome. Keegan is a championship boxer who goes by the Punisher when he’s in the ring.

After Keegan loses his longtime coach and mentor, Keegan moves from LA to Sunnyville and opens his own boxing gym. When Keegan meets Sam, Collins’ younger brother, he immediately likes him and offers him a job helping out around the gym. Collins is suspicious of his motives and starts off not liking Keegan.

The relationship between Keegan and Collins is tumultuous and thanks to Collins’ fiery temper gets tested quite a bit. She turns to her best friend Ahmod, who is transgender, (love the inclusion in this book!) and is always great with advice and a funny quip to make her smile.

I truly enjoyed reading this book from start to finish and would highly recommend it.

* * I HAD BEEN GIVEN AN ADVANCED READERS COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW * *

This is the first book I have read by Tiffani Lynn, and I was far from disappointed! It was a sweet and touching book about a police woman and a former Boxing Champion.

There is an unlikely friendship that just brought a new level to this story, that brought out conflict in a different way and slightly anxious moments.

I love how sweet and down to earth Keegan is and how he using his past experience and a tragic death, to better those around him. Kettle does he know a chance meeting changes everything about what he thought he knew about selfless love and giving.

Collins gets a lesson in letting go and growth. Her Fiery red personality is only matched by her red hair. But how strong and true she is, is some of the qualities I love in my leading lady!

Keegan and Collins are both strong willed and giving people, but the clash of personalities only adds to the steamy sexual tension that is building.

This is a sweet amazing romance that I can see myself reading more than once. My only complaint, not enough Sam near then end.

This was okay for me. The writing flowed pretty well for the most part, but I wasn't a fan of Collins pretty much the whole book. She was incredibly rude, and while it was played off as being protective of her brother, she pretty much felt like she could tell everyone what to do and that was her place. Keegan was a good guy, and he never gave her ANY reason to doubt that, but at every turn she was jumping down his throat and generally being a not nice person. She didn't hesitate to tell Keegan what she thought of him at every turn, but the jerk who worked with her and said horrible things about her brother, she just let it go. Not sure how that works. I personally didn't see what Keegan saw in her. The worst for me was when Collins accused Keegan of betraying her brother, when she didn't even stop to listen to what actually happened instead of what she made up in her mind. The blurb was misleading too, because he did not betray anyone. Although I wasn't completely won over with this one, I would read her again.

Contender is my first read from Tiffani Lynn and it was ok. The opening had me anxious to see what would happen with Keegan.

Oh I really liked Keegan. He was just a good guy trying to find out where he fit and how he could pay forward the gift he had been given. Which is exactly how he ends up in Sunnyville and in Collins' orbit. For as much as I liked Collins, there was something about her that was a bit off putting. I liked that she was strong willed and tender hearted. But her temper really threw me. She's a cop, she can't be flying off the handle like that, reacting with emotion instead of thinking things through. It also became a bone of contention between her and Keegan.

I have to say my favorite thing about Contender is everyone's relationship with Sam, Collins' brother. That guy was something special and you couldn't help but smile with his joy. Collins and Keegan's rocky start romance was full of drama and passion. And that ending, brought everything wonderfully full circle.

Contender is another book that sent me to my dream destination of Sunnyville which I simply can't get enough of to be honest. Collins has come home to take care of her brother, who is disabled after the death of her mother. She has some trust issues. Keegan is a boxer who has decided to give back since his mentor saved his life, now he wants to do that with his new gym in Sunnyville. He has a HUGE heart, and is all around the perfect guy in my eyes. He & Collins do have chemistry, but I'm telling you, she got on my very last nerve with some of the things that she pulled. I get having trust issues but there comes a time when you have to pull on your big girl panties. I got so annoyed with her it wasn't even funny because she was sure Keegan wasn't who he appeared to be so she was the one to cause the drama. The good news is she finally grew on me & Keegan grew on her thankfully because I LOVED him hard! Anyway, that's enough from me, now it's your turn to do your thing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wow! What can I say about this story. When Keegan loses his mentor an adopt father he's not sure if he wants to fight anymore. So he takes off on his bike he runs across a small town that he likes an opens a gym. There he meets Sam a adult with downs syndrome. They become fast friends. Then he met his fiery redheaded cop sister.Collins doesn't trust Keegan she thinks it's strange he lets Sam hang around an runs a background check on him. When her partner says he's a nice guy an that everyone loves Sam.Collins hates that she's attracted to Keegan .This story will pull you in an keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are captivating.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions and their pain. There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.
