Travis hides in solitude in his remote chalet on the border of the Fool’s Mountain National Park. Working from home, he routinely resists his brother’s attempts to lure him back to the city. Since his engagement failed, his life is on standby, but Travis likes it that way. Until one day, after a flood in the park, he finds an unconscious young man on the riverbank. Assuming he’s a hiker who got swept up by the river, Travis brings him to the chalet, intent on summoning help from there.
Except Micah wasn’t hiking. He’s on the run, scared, and desperate. And he’s in heat. Maybe he can convince the kind, burly alpha who found him to help him. In every way.

Precious is an erotic love story, inspired by MM omegaverse romance.

Guys... guys.... GUYS.

Clear your schedule, clear your day, Precious is filthy, sweet, explicit candy, and you will NOT be able to stop reading (but hopefully not in public...).

I don't know why I didn't anticipate the way that Roe Horvat writing an Omegaverse book would wreck me. I mean, it's like Precious reached into my mind and created the wank-a-lious book of my dreams. And I'm not even an Omegaverse fan!

Usually, alpha-beta-omega books are meh for me, but not Precious. I'm talking . This isn't beginner stuff here, folks. I could NOT put it down.

Roe Horvat has an absolutely incredible way of writing a book that is almost continuous sex, but actually giving it a plot and a romance. I don't know how he does it. How does he manage to slip in relationship development and real feeling in a book that is literally mostly sex? How?! And how does Roe manage to make ALL of the sex scenes still interesting?! I didn't skim a single one (in fact... *checks bookmarks again*).

Of course, because it's Roe, this book is also incredibly sweet. Loving, caring guys but mixed with dirty talk that will burn your pants off. It's a mind-blowing combination.

At this point, I'm ready to shout: GIVE ME KNOTTING OR GIVE ME DEATH.

Just take all my money.

This book is stupidly hot. Like my mind can't even compute all the sexy: slick arseholes, rimming, fisting, heat sex, womb fucking, all the fucking .... Just. Gah. I can't.

As is Horvat's trademark, however, Precious isn't just raunchy; it's sensual, sweet even. The way Travis takes care of Micah is a beautiful thing.

While there's an element of insta love (this is an Alpha/omegaverse after all), there's more to the story, including a bonafide bad guy, supportive (Travis's amazing dad) and unsupportive (Micah's piece of shit father) family, and a police investigation.

I mean, it's not all sex. Although it's MOSTLY sex.

And I'm okay with that.

I liked the bit of tension toward the end, as Micah decides whether he wants to stay with Travis.

I would read another book set in this universe in a heartbeat.

Oh, FUCK ME SIDEWAYS! This was sooo 🔥🔥🔥😱🔥😱🔥😱.

So much sex.
Heat sex.
Knotting.
Fisting.
Womb sex.
For ten days.
So much dirty talk—YESSSSSSSS!
I’m wiped out!

And the sex, it was never formulaic.
Never boring.
Never repetitive.

And beneath it all, there was
A story,
And love,
And an HEA.

I swear, no one can write erotica like Roe Horvat!

Trigger: almost rape.

My rec? For a rocking WAP-py time, read on!!

If you are new to the omegaverse, then you should read a different book. This one throws you right into the heat of Micah, there is no build up to the story or getting to know the characters, you are right in the middle of this spiral of sex and sex and more sex.

The young omega was the center of his world. He opened his mouth over the man’s neck in an almost kiss. Protect, soothe. Love him. Those damned pheromones. 😊

I was prepared for this, wasn't expecting anything else, but still it was hard for me to read. It didn't have any lasting damage for me, otherwise my rating wouldn't be so high, but it was certainly not easy to find my way into the book. Of course the sex scenes are fantastic, I would expect nothing less from Roe. But the initial lack of story and getting into the characters was just a hard thing.

It was ridiculous. Travis had kissed his asshole before he’d kissed him on the mouth. Because of the strange circumstances that had brought them together, it felt like they were doing intimacy backward. 🥺

It takes a very fine touch to make love out of so much sex and in a believable way. And that is Roe's talent. The author really manages to make something blossom in such a wonderful way that doesn't seem forced and doesn't come across as cheesy.

Nearly seventy percent of the book is filled by Micah's 10 days of heat. And after that it becomes tough. Micah struggles with himself and his sudden broken connection to Travis. And Travis wants so much more and gives him everything even if it means staying away from him. That was heartbreaking.

Was that fear of facing the world alone? Or was it love? How was he supposed to know when he felt like half a person? His mind was numb, his body raw, and his heart hollow. 😭😭😭

Geeeeeze! I don't think anyone else can write a book in which there's a sex scene on almost every page and yet still imbue the narrative with a fully-fleshed out set of characters and a plotline which fits perfectly into the new world they've created quite like Roe Horvat can.

This book is beyond hot, it's so hot it should carry its own fire risk warning. But, it's so much more than just erotica. It's a whole new omegaverse alternate universe setting, with its own rules to be followed.

Roe always has an author's note on the books he describes as erotica and I totally get why, but for me, they're never just porn without plot. Are there loads of sex scenes - yes. Do those sex scenes blow the roof off with their insane heat? Again yes.

But, is there emotional connectivity, trust, expectation, feelings, love, desire and protectiveness as well? You better believe it.

Roe Horvat is a master at this game and I will never not applaud him for the way he takes risks not only with the stories he writes, but with the way he chooses to market them.

This is unashamedly erotic and I appreciated every single dirty line, every bit of heat, all the knotting and mating rituals which come with an alpha and omega, and the fire and sparks exploding in every encounter.

Thanks Roe for doing what you do so well - explore the sexual behaviours of people in a multitude of ways and do it with honesty and no shame.

Roe Horvat’s foray into the Omegaverse world is a stunning success with his latest novel Precious. This relationship is over the top, absolutely gorgeous!

Yes, of course it’s erotic, and with the premise that an omega in heat needs to be bred Horvat doesn’t need to worry about establishing an emotional connection between the characters right away. Amazingly though, the spark between Travis and Micah is instantaneous.

From the moment Travis discovers the unconscious, battered omega near his home to their first interactions, the emotion is present in every exchange. The way these characters evolve over the course of Micah’s heat is masterfully done.

Roe Horvat writes the finest erotica out there, and Precious is hot and sexy and ohmygod just superb! But this novel is more than that. Beautifully written descriptions of Travis’ stunning woodland home. Deeply personal soul searching for both Travis and Micah. And some of the most intimate and emotional sexual interchanges between two people I’ve ever read.

Simply perfect.

4.5 stars. 😲 Holy hell. Despite skimming reviews, I was not expecting that. I was also not expecting the sweetness that came with all the lava-hot, explicit sex. Is there really anyone other than Roe Horvat that can balance those two things so exquisitely?

It's a little bit insta-love but it is in the omega-verse, so it's kind of understandable. However, it also has wonderful, supportive family *for Travis* *gives Micah's father the finger 😡*, life changing decisions and unexpected danger.

Once more, thank you so much to Santa's Baby Mama for the book, I absolutely loved it! 💖

This story is sweet, MM erotica, set in an omegaverse. Knotting, breeding, mpreg with non-shifting Alpha and Omega men (no women in this universe). If I hadn’t just read another Horvat book Ugly I might have liked this one a bit more. They are almost word for word, the same book. The only different was this one contained fisting.

There was so much “slick” that it was like those olestra chips from the 90’s had made a comeback. I kept thinking that maybe the Omega should just wear adult diapers to keep the furniture dry.

We all know that writing exquisite erotica is one of Roe Horvat’s huge strength.
So imagine what happens when he’s let loose in a paranormal universe where he can do pretty much anything to his characters?

Yeap. THAT.

A mature alpha and an omega in his first heat who’s lost and in need of help to get through this emotionally and physically exhausting time.

10 days of the most intense heat sex.
Mind-blowing. Fierce. Consuming. Overwhelming. And scorching hot.
That takes us up to 50%, just so you get the picture. Roe clearly had a ball with this one (and oh, that dirty talk!)

Although a heat like that does muddle the mind … real feelings start to blossom. Particularly for older Travis who falls hook, line and sinker for 21-year-old Micah. Travis is the epitome of a kind and thoughtful lover and genuinely nice guy. And having a ‘typical’ alpha physique – tall, strong, hairy - certainly isn’t a drawback. At all. Nope. Not at all.

Of course, Micah can’t resist gorgeous, caring Travis, but I liked that he didn’t simply jump into the ILY again after the heat ends. He does take a step back and think about it.

Ok, guys. This was fun. And very, very hot.
It’s maybe not as emotionally deep as other books by Roe, but if you’re into alpha/omega/heats/knotting and fancy an extremely well written erotic novel, this is a definite contender!

Enjoy! And do prepare a cold drink to go with your read!

HOLY OMEGA HEAT, BATMAN!!! That was some HARDCORE omegaverse porny goodness, of the HIGHEST QUALITY.

Anyone who has read a book by Roe Horvat before knows that he is a master of writing the most deliciously erotic, melt-your-panties-right-off, M/M sex scenes. To that end, I thought I knew what I was in for when I picked up his first full-length omegaverse novel, but, holy shit, did this go above and beyond all my most depraved expectations.

This is erotic romance to its core. The steam-level will put most readers into quite the heated frenzy, of that I have no doubt. If you have experience reading omegaverse stories, then be prepared for ALL the usual suspects here, with ten days of knotting, breeding, womb play, dirty talk, fisting and rimming… just to name a few.

Where Horvat excels—beyond the quality writing and the epic sex scenes—is in his ability to write a story that’s 80% sex scenes while still managing to create three dimensional characters you care about, building a genuine relationship between them and giving their story enough plot to keep a reader gripped beyond the bedroom action.

For me, the emotional intimacy was key here, making all the difference between your average omegaverse story and this!!

I truly enjoyed my time with alpha Travis and his precious omega Micah, and I look forward to reading more in Horvat’s expanding omegaverse.

Oh dear - oh my - Precious was oh wow, *fans self* that was a reading experience, I was NOT prepared for! 😆😆 But, that's the thing about reading omega verse - you KNOW what you're getting into, especially if you've chosen to read this genre. And oftentimes, it can be bland and a bit distasteful that might make you chuckle at the situations, but gosh, Roe Horvat is a master at it!

Like, this book is S-E-X! In every possible way imaginable - you think the thought, and he'll deliver the scene! Really, just erotic romance at it's finest - so undeniably sexy and depraved, haha! And still, he'll throw in the moments of such pure intimacy and heart and care, that the sex scenes don't annoy you! The reader feels the heat ! Lord knows, I DID! And the absolutely amazing part about it! 🔥🔥

Not once did it ever feel repetitive, the dirty talk, the filthy actions, everything was described with top-notch care and intensity! They were hot - I mean, I'm blushing even now remembering them, because Roe Horvat did not hold back in any way conceivable. *pun intended* 😊😊

The steam level really was off the charts here! Not to quote my favorite line from the movie Heat, but you could 'feel the heat right around the corner'. Well, in this case, it was me clutching my phone, forgetting how to breath as I was devoured alongside with Micah, as he left himself completely at Travis' mercy. 😲😲 Travis has the heart of an angel; despite the craving he had, he delivered it with such affection and tenderness, to prove to his precious Micah, how much he really cared for him. And of course, Micah couldn't help fall in love with him, to reciprocate the safety and kindness that he had shown him during his heat.

“I’ve never felt as safe as I do with you.”

“It’s like you own my soul.”

“When you’re in me.” A breath. “I only exist for you.”

anigif-AVAg

The real gem factor of this read was that while there wasn't much of a plot - the insta-love that developed between Travis and Micah DID feel genuine. I'm not ordinarily a fan of age-gap romances, but in this case, it actually worked quite well. 😊 Micah was a young fresh omega, inexperienced to the core; so to unwittingly find himself in the arms of Travis, someone so kind and giving and willing to lend a helping hand with the utmost care, then he truly did find himself in the best of care.💕 And to fall in love, to return those feelings - made it all the more worthwhile.

Just a filthy precious good read with this one - Roe Horvat's talent at erotic art is a rare find and I'm curious to see what else his writing has in store. 😁

Omegaverse with Roe Horvat's perfect combination of erotica and emotions.

Although I prefer his earlier work, this was pretty awesome, too.

Ps I can't not mention the author's note:
"...The freedom this genre (paranormal) gives me is fantastic—and so unlike the lack of freedom that queer, and especially trans, people experience in their real lives. A transgender man myself, I like to challenge how society sees gender and sexuality. So yes, I took all kinds of liberties with Travis and Micah. And yet some rules shouldn’t be broken, which is why I continue to treat my characters how I want to be treated myself. With love and respect."

Roe Horvat has jumped into omegaverse/mpreg, and I am so ready for it!

I love Roe's erotic romance writing, it's very sensual and well-written, and this book definitely has those elements I've come to expect, along with plenty of traditional omegaverse elements now added to it - alpha/omega status, heats, knotting, slick, and intense emotions amped up during the heat.

Micah is on the run when Travis discovers him in the woods. He takes him home, only to discover that the mystery man is going through his first heat as an omega - And Travis is an alpha. I really appreciated that he had that initial moment of consent and worry about dub-con since Micah was in the throes of his heat. After discussing it with his dad, Travis and Micah have a very, very intense heat together, and I don't think there's anything they didn't get to trying during their time together LOL.

This is definitely erotica romance, and filled with intense moments between the two. However, mixed in with the more physical moments between the two are moments of sweetness and fluff that I just loved, and there is also some conflict and action when we learn what Micah was running from and it catches up to him. I also liked that the story continued after their initial weeks spent together, (I loved the idea of the omega's emotions swinging totally the other way and needing time to physically resume normalcy after the heat,) and I LOVED the ending.

I'm also super interested in the omega world that Roe has created. It seems like this is a world possibly with no females at all? Everyone mentioned was male, I think. It also seems like a world where omegas are less-than, and I really hope we get Roe back to writing in this 'verse and we can get more stories from him.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Horvat can definitely write filthy. With this being a longer book than the previous novellas, I thought we'd get more substance and relationship-building. But that didn't happen for me.

If you're looking for PWP, dive in.

I just need more romance.

4.5 HOT HOT HOT 🔥🔥🔥 Stars!! When I pick up a book by Roe Horvat, I know that it'll be super hot erotica.. but since I'm very new to the Omega-verse I wasn't sure that I would like this new world. But to my pleasant surprise except the lots and lots and lots of sex the other aspects were very "human-like". Villains, heroes, misogyny (for omegas), family.. everything else was very earthly.. so it was a major relief for me not to have to learn rules about a whole new world 🤪.
The plot is quite simple; Travis, a hot alpha in his prime likes his solitary living in his reclusive Chalet, when while he's out and about one rainy day in the nearby woods he finds an unconscious and half naked Micah on the river's edge. He rescues and brings this beautiful young omega home, but before he can call the local Sheriff or doctor for help, Micah wakes up and stops him. Understanding that there is more to Micah's story he decides to help the young omega, not realizing how far he will have to go or how their lives will change before Micah is totally safe. 💕

And yeah, it was for sure the heat hormones, the knot in his body, but when he kissed Travis, and Travis kissed him back, Micah knew. He knew he belonged with this man.

There is absolutely no slow burn or simmering anything in this story.. it is incendiary sex from the get-go and it is quite non-stop. However, genuine feelings do start to form as Micah and Travis spend more time with each other, with Micah feeling safe with Travis and Travis starting to get some streaks of hope in his lonely life. It is ultimately a romantic story.. just more of an unconventional kind. ❤️ Highly recommended to all fans of a well-written erotica 👍👍

I think this was by far the most erotic arousing story I’ve ever read.

At moments so deeply intimate it felt almost as I was invading their private space.

Precious moments, so precious!

There are no repetitive scenes, the poses and stances were all amazingly vibrant, and vividly expressed it was scorching hot.

The wonderful admiring part is (like all of this author's work) it’s always with depth, layered, never superficial !!

Travis lives in his chalet isolated from the outside world. He loves it. On a walk, he finds a young guy who’s unconscious and with risky low body temperature. He carries him home.

Then... he discovers the young omega is in heat and needs help, it's more like he screams for help. Oh boy, oh boy, Travis can help and my goodness what follows is breathtakingly hot.

It’s Micah’s first heat and he had a legitimate reason to be alone in the woods. One that will raise your hackles.

Travis gives Micah everything he needs and much much more.
Travis worshipping Micah’s body was mesmerizing! There were highly in tune with each other.

The author did a tremendously stunning job here. Absolutely fabulous!
The fountain of all the various sexual activity seems inexhaustible.
Around all these activities there was a moving story, it was palpable, emotional and romantic.

Highly recommended!!!

Oddly enough I liked this one more than I thought I would. It was most definitely HOT. Off the charts HOT. And lots of sex. I mean, I guess it made sense - most of the book took place during Micah's heat.

But there was enough story happening to keep me interested - for the most part. I skimmed a bit towards the end. A few terms of endearment made me gag and roll my eyes.

I read this one mostly for the sex. #shrugs

Roe doing what Roe does best. Wall to wall dirty sex imbued with deep romantic connection. And this one is very very good. Ticks all the boxes, hits all the notes, pulls on all the heartstrings.

I must comment that one of the villians names was PETER CUNNINGS!!! By name and by nature. I had to laugh though it did feel a bit phoned in.

I also love how at the end of this book there is a note from Roe that says "I'm sharing some of my most daring erotic writing on Patreon." like this isn't it?? You can go dirtier??

3.75 ⭐️ Holy hell! I think this book is the definition of erotica. This is the first time I've read an omegaverse story, and not denying the fact that it was sooooo hot and too cheesy. Usually, I don't like it when the priority of a book becomes a hell lot of sex. But it's impossible not to like this book. From the beginning of the first chapter, I found myself hooked on the story in every possible way. Wow, this author writes the sexiest sex scenes that keep anyone in the book until the end. 🔥🔥🔥 There were countless sex scenes (heat sex, knotting sex, breeding sex, all kind of sex), and the story was beautifully composed.

No need to be afraid, aside from a mount of sex, there was a touch of romance too! Travis (an alpha) who was very kind and unusually had a golden heart found Micah (an omega), who fell unconscious during his first heat on the river bank. Travis supported him to go through his first heat, and the bond between these two become undeniable. Travis fell hard for Micah. Everything of Micah’s first was Travis. Leaving Travis was the hardest thing in Micah's life he was going to do. But Micah's heart didn't resist that Travis was the kindest human soul Micah saw in his entire life. Eventually, everything felt right in a way that made sense.

“I’ll be with you all the time. Not because I think you need me. You’re perfectly capable of dealing with everything yourself.” Another kiss on his temple. “But I’m spoiled. I’m used to having you all to myself. I don’t want to share you with the rest of the world either. Not even for a few hours each day.”

“Micah flipped around and straddled Travis’s lap. He kissed Travis softly on the lips. “You’re with me all the time.”

I adored the writing style of the author, and the cover is too hot! It was the first thing that convinced me to read this precious book! 🔥❤️

This was pure perfection from start to finish. At first I was little bit hesitant because I literally know nothing when it comes to the omegaverse other than there are alpha males and omegas. I love Horvat's writing in this. It was very addictive, straightforward and highly visual. The romance is very endearing and the sex is exhaustingly amazing. Will definitely check more from this author!! Please if you have read similar to this, recommend it to me!

I think my eyes crossed from all the sex... I need a minute, cause damn! 😵❤

I understand now why people say that yes, Roe is an erotica writer but the sexual scenes are a little bit more than that. It's like Alessandra Hazard but with a lot more fucking, so much fucking... I need another minute....

----‐----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm fine, ok, so! In here all the horizontal tango was actually necessary because Micah is an omega in heat and the heat here lasts TEN DAYS PEOPLE! I think that's the longer I've heard that that goes and at one point I almost felt sorry for the dude *whispers* almost. BUT the sex was well written, I don't know how but it always was different (I seriously don't know how), and even there where moments were I thought sex wasn't needed and the author skipped it leaving me like whutt? But have no fear, 5 or 6 pages later and there is another hanky panky!

There was a plot, amazing I know, where Micah was running from his father and a seriously sick dude who wanted to marry him, or more accurate, have his first heat. So the confrontation happened and the end of it, a little bit of family, a little bit of confused feelings and a little bit of education where we learn that on this universe omegas have no right, as usual.

So yeah, this book is to be read when you are in a certain mood, then you can enjoy it fully:

"A magical fucking cock. On some level, Micah knew it was just the heat hormones, but he was so in love with that cock" See?! Enjoy! 🤭🥰❤

«He didn’t know Travis, yet it felt like Travis was the only man in the world who mattered.»

How much cum is too much cum?
This was mainly erotica, with a sprinkle of romance and drama. I mean, I enjoyed the fuck out of it even the second time around, but the fucking and slick and weird dirty talk does get a little redundant after the first five smut scenes.

“There. Suck it. You’re full of me, Micah. Cum everywhere. Your womb, your ass, all over your skin, in your mouth and stomach. You’re so filthy. Are you still coming, darling? Of course, you are. My cock is in your womb. God, your stomach is bulging with me. My gorgeous young virgin, all knocked up.”

That kind of dirty talk? Nah, not my thing.
I liked the hurt/comfort moments, the sweetness of the relationship outside of the wild smut.
Very sweet, kinda sexy, kinda weird. Don’t know if I’d read it a third time, though.

And yeah, it was for sure the heat hormones, the knot in his body, but when he kissed Travis, and Travis kissed him back, Micah knew.
He knew he belonged with this man.

CW and tropes (spoilers):
- Non-shifter omegaverse
- Mentions of mpreg
- Strangers to lovers
- Age gap (36 vs 20)
- Attempted SA
- Strict top/bottom
- Fuck first, kiss later
- Heat sex
- Knotting
- Rimming
- Fisting
- Virgin MC
- Coming untouched
- Multiple orgasms
- Cock warming
- Breeding kink

This book was hot! Most of takes place during one of the MCs heats which last TEN days (!!! TEN DAYS OF NON-STOP SEX)
The book was like majority sex which had me like:

Despite that, the author was still able to create chemistry and I still felt like the characters had a connection. This had a lot of the elements I like from omegaverse books. Overall fun read!

I quite liked some of Horvat’s other books so thought I’d give this a try. I surmise it was written in lockdown when Horvat was going through quite a dry spell because calling this a novel would be charitable. There’s barely a plot. It’s just sex. I think if the sex was removed from it there’d literally be four pages. Nothing happens but...... S.E.X!!! I summarise the plot as follows.

Travis finds an unconscious Mikha. He takes him back to his home. They have sex. Some more sex. Sex, sex, sex. They shower. Sex, eat, sex. Travis calls his dad. They talk about sex. The biological aspect of alpha/omega mating in this book were INSANE. Roe really went for it. 5 stars for hotness.

The heat lasting 10 days was a bit much, but I think it was to make it so that the MCs weren't just mating for 3 days and then fell in love? Also, the fact that, when Micah and Travis FINALLY talked to each other, they didn't really LISTEN. They really just needed to say to each other "Hey, I don't know where this is going, but I'd like to find out. Want to give it a go after my heat is over?" Bada bing bada bam, problem solved. But they assumed a lot and asked questions of themselves that they really should have asked each other.
