A quick novella to give us an introduction into Mariza and Adrian's story.
This captivating fast read was intense and powerful in the actions of Adrian and his quest to capture Mariza and make her his.
This novella leads us into Adrian's Vengeance and I can't wait to read that one!

This is a prequel to a full novel...but it's a no from me. I'm glad this was short because I don't like to not finish books and I don't think I could read a full novel of this drivel.

Okay, let me begin this review by stating: I love me some mafia romances. I love hate to love stories, bad boys that have a heart of gold for their woman, I'm down for some dominant men in romance.. but this book is not it. I honestly got to the 60% mark and wondered if I had actually picked up a thriller/horror book by accident. Nope, I double checked and this is actually categorized as romance. This... This book is straight up rape. She literally says NO over and over and yet he still continues. Adrien doesn't love or even have feelings for her, there is no romance here. It's just a straight rape, murder and kidnapping with a "shut up I own you and I'll torture you until you do as I say and like it". I'm rooting for the brother and arranged marriage dude to come save the day and take her away from this situation. Wowza. This straight up shouldnt be categorized as romance. Did I even read the same book as everyone else? How was this not meant as a horror book 😂

Broken Promises is the prequel novella that leads us to the first novel of the series Adrian’s Vengeance.

Mariza De Luca is a mafia princess, the De Luca family is viewed as a “Higher Class” mafia family, while Adrian Bernardi is from a mafia family that is concerned as “lower class”. They meet as children at the docks, Mariza stop some other kids bullying Adrian while his father is there talking with Mariza’s father. They make each other a promise.

Years later, a blood bath of an arranged marriage, and a now broken illusion of the love of her life, Mariza is collected by Adrian. What will happen next? Will she still be able to love him after what has happened? I look forward to finding out.

“Here.” "This was my nonna's wedding ring. She gave it to me before she died last year." "You can give it back when you come through on your promise." "Shouldn't I be giving you something then?" "You already did," "You gave me your heart."

Broken Promises is a novella sized, solid introduction to the Mafia Heirs series. The families align themselves with families based on business opportunities and why not use your most precious treasure to lure in one who has what you want. A prearranged marriage, a family who want vengeance and a boy who wants the girl. Adrian will do whatever it takes to stop Marzia belonging to his number one enemy. If it destroys here so be it.

Broken Promises, a novella length prequel to the new Mafia Heirs series from Isabella Starling and Raven Scott - a brilliant introduction to Adrian and Marzia's story.

Adrian is an outcast, Marzia is a prisoner.
Adrian gets himself in to trouble at the docks and sweet young Marzia comes to his rescue. Marzia helps Adrian and asks him to promise to repay her one day when she needs saving.
Eleven years later, that promise is repaid, but not in the way Marzia thought it would be.

After this short introduction to what looks to be a very explosive journey for Adrian and Marzia, I'm eagerly waiting Adrian's Vengeance.

Broken Promises, the prequel to the Mafia Heirs first book, Adrian’s Vengeance follows the story of Adrian Bernardi and mafia princess Marzia De Luca. We meet the two main characters as children when Marzia saves Adrian and then tells him that he owes her a favor one day if she needs him. Fast forward eleven years and her promise is repaid, only not the way she expects it to happen. Can’t wait to read the next in this series and see where Adrian and Marzia’s story goes next.

A Short, quick read by Raven Scott and Isabella Starling. Lots of drama and intrigue for our lead characters Adrian and Marzia. There is lots of sexual chemistry between them which is truly way off the charts. A great read which will leave you wanting so much more.

I received an arc copy and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Short and sweet where lots happened and it was pretty explosive.

The tension and chemistry was off the charts.

It did surprises there was no contact between the two for so long but I guess that just adds to the intrigue.

I received this free copy and voluntarily leave an honest review.

Adrian & Marzia

I liked this story. I preferred that Adrian got married to her instead. I reckon Bruno should've let them go after the DeLuca family & make everything alot better than what happened.
